Modifying parameters on "find"

It is possible to change or add some metadata parameter in the "Find" function?
I would select photos that were shooted with the "MODEL" "equal to" EOS 6D "AND" with "CITY" "equal to" Chicago.
But among the parameters of the "Find" function there are just some metadata and "city" is not included.

You may have to share your location from them again. Choose Add Friends, and then add the AppleID that is in use on the device. If you no longer have these devices, you won't be able to readd them.

My intention is to modify parameters of LOB(COL2). Looks SQL1 has SQL error: ORA-00906: missing left parenthesis while SQL2 can be executed correctly. But the result of SQL2 turns out to be like:

Can't find Originals and Modified files in finder

Just upgraded to iPhoto 9 and find that the Original and Modified folders are missing. I can find them when I get file info from a photo in iphoto and they seem to be subfiles of the iphoto app. However in finder, they are not accessible. Am I missing something?

With iPhoto 7 (iLife 08) the old iPhoto Library Folder became a Package File. This is simply a folder that looks like a file in the Finder. The change was made to the format of the iPhoto library because many users were inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves.
There is never a need for the user to browse the Library via the Finder or any other app. Any time you do you risk damaging the Library.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
*For Users of 10.5 Only*
You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.

Many internet sites such as Flickr and SmugMug have plug-ins for accessing the iPhoto Library. If the site you want to use doesn’t then some, one or any of these will also work:
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. However, if you're using Gmail you can use iPhoto2GMail
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
*If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running*:
Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.
All of the above are a: faster and b: safer than rooting through the old Library folders.

Modifying permissions crashes Finder

I have found that using the "Get Info" window to modify permissions for files and folders in Finder often result in Finder crashing (and automatically restarting). This seems to be a problem specific to Leopard, as I had not noticed this prior to upgrading from Tiger.
This happens whether I'm logged in as an administrator or as a normal user.
I'm always able to set the desired permissions from the shell, so there's a work-around.
Anyone else seen this?

I've yet to be able to adjust file permissions from my Leopard MacBook Pro on files on my G4 running Tiger that I use as a file server without the Finder crashing and NOT changing the permissions. And the Get Info window rarely shows the same Group as the Get Info window launched on the Tiger machine.

Photos just imported are modified (Reveal in Finder) (9.2.2)

Hi, i'm a french iPhoto user, I found a problem since the 9.2.2 update.
When importing photo from any camera (iPhone 4S, Sony A700 or Canon 600D) in iPhoto, the option "Reveal in Finder" shows me "Modified" or "Original" but photos are just imported and I didn't apply any modifications.
If I choose "original", it reveals the photo (2,3 MB) in my original folder (in my personnal pictures folder for example).
But if I choose "modified", it reveals in the iPhoto library/Previews/2012/03/etc... but the photo is exactly the same, it is not a preview, the size is the same (2,5 MB).
In iPhoto preferences, I unticked the "Copy elements imported in Library" because I don't want this. Why do I have photos duplicated and shown as "modified" ??
I don't understand this problem because it works fine when importing older photos.
Can you help me please, do you have this kind of problem ??

Are the photos in the portrait orientation? If so when imported the camera adds a rotation tag to the file and iPhoto reads it and makes an edited version that is rotated so it can be viewed properly. I'm guessing that's what's happening to your photos.
You can avoid that by turning off the auto rotation feature in the camera (except iPhones), uploading to a folder on the Desktop and rotate those photos that need rotation with a 3rd party editor like Xee which can do lossless rotation. Then import into iPhoto and there will be no modified photos.

Modifying an existing finder script to apply to all files on the harddrive

Can anyone tell me specifically how to modify the finder script "Replace Text in Item Names" so that it will replace the given text in all files on the harddrive at once rather than only in the frontmost Finder window?

The most substantial change is using the Finder's entire contents command, which recursively lists subfolders, rather than list folder. Note that the script still acts upon the active folder in the Finder, so you'll want to open your home folder first. I also changed the confirmation dialog slightly so that it reminds you what folder it'll be acting on, and the fact that it'll be doing so recursively on the subfolders as well.

I ran across something odd today.
I tried to implement note 795523 in our system (4.7 FX 2.0)
It asks to
manually change parameters of a method. 1. SE24: change parameter of method GET_ADJM_RECORD_STATUS in interface IF_REAJ_METHOD
- Parameter (old):RD_ADJMDRECSTATUS
- Parameter (new)   : ED_ADJMDRECSTATUS
- Art (old)      : Returning
- Art (new)         : Exporting
So far so good, I´ve registered the objekt with oss and tried to implement the changes in transaction se24. There I ran across a problem as it´s possible to add a new parameter, however I´m unable to delete an existing parameter, as the parameter name itself cannot be changed, I cannot use overwrite.
Anyone ever encountered such behavior? How shall I proceed?

Sometimes after implementing the note, you need to log off the existing session & login again.
This might solve the problem.

Pasing arrays as method parameters in finder methods in EJBQL

I need to have a query similar to
select * from a where a.account_id in( ?) . However the parameter ? is a dynamic one. The no of values could be ranging from say 1 to 100. Could I use an array or is there another to do this in EJB QL.

Yes there is a performance difference. For large internal tables, pass by reference will always give a better performance. It is strongly advised that pass by reference is used with table passing.

How to modify a part of task parameters via worklist (not all paramenters)?

I am making a demo of showing the functions of human workflow / worklist using Oracle SOA Suite. The following process is not a real project. But I have some questions about how to modify parameters in worklist and jdeveloper. Please help me.
I create a BPEL with human workflow. It has 2 human tasks.
The first human task is a single approver type and the parameters contents can be modified via worklist. The user is oc4jadmin.
If oc4jadmin rejects it, the process will go to the second human task.
The second human task is a sequential lists of approvers type and the parameters contents can be modified via worklist. 3 users (the order is : jcooper -> jlondon-> tolstoy) can access it. The process is able to abrupt completion if anyone rejects it.
After the process is invoked in BPEL control,
1, oc4jadmin login worklist and modified the data, than reject it.
2, jcooper can login worklist and changed the data, save it, and approve.
3, jlondon login, view data, change data, and save it. However, if jlondon modified the

In the worklist, the user can add another pid and leave the ptitle empty. In the schema, the ptitle (minOccurs=1) should appear at least once. How can I set that, if the user add another pid and must add at least one ptitle before saving it?
3, One element likes gender=male/female. In the worklist form, the default graphic component is an input field. How can I set the component to a dropdown list and it highlight value.
4, The default form is jsp file and it is beautiful. Could I make a jspx page and replace the jsp page? How to replace the jsp to jspx?
5, If I use sequencial approver type for the human task, how can I set various page layout? For example, user 1 can view and modified all parameters. User 2 can view some part of the parameters and changes it. User 3 can view all paramters but can just modified some of them?

Change the FIND display from LAST OPENED to LAST MODIFIED.

When I search for a folder/file, I want to sort by date and view when the folder/file was LAST MODIFIED. I find LAST OPENED to be useless. Someone in the Dept. may have opened a file just to see what it was, but so what. That tells me nothing about the time frame when the file was created or worked on.
For instance I want to find the most recent logo for joe's muffler shop. I search for "joe's muffler" and find several items. What looks to be the most recent (OPENED "yesterday") was actually MODIFIED in June 25, 2004.
How can I change a spotlight Find to show me the last MODIFIED date?

Why does Finder think a file or folder is modified when it has only been opened (not re-saved)?

I try to use the Finder to sort my folders and files by Date Modified so I can quickly access my current projects/files/folders and keep them on the top of the list. Whenever I open an older file to just see what's in it Finder thinks that the file has been modified. I don't change anything or re-save it, I just open it and close it. This makes the Date Modified sort pretty much identical to the Date Last Opened sort.
1) Is there a way to stop this behavior?
2) Is there a way to sort by Date Last Saved?

Please re-read my original question and post. Your answers don't help me and I wonder if I haven't written my post correctly to communicate my desire.
I currently use the Finder to sort my files by "date modified", but I want to use the Finder to sort by "date last saved", but it doesn't have that option. Many times I open a file just to explore what's in it, then I close it without changing anything or saving it - but when I do the Finder thinks I have "modified" it, and it puts that file at the top of the list. I didn't modify it, but Finder treats it like I did.

i've got the same issue....a huge pain. one way to "look at files" without changing the date is to hit the space bar in finder when you're on the file. that will launch the quick look feature and you can see if that's the file you want to open. i know its not the best solution, but a small step. if you find a real way to fix this... let me know.
