Modifying the list of Categories on the phone (8520)

Outlook 2007 allows for the use of Categories which helps me when locating contacts.
I had a bunch of contacts which I renamed (to make them even easier to group together), but I see that the categories on my phone are not the same as the categories on my computer.
How can I modify the list of categories

If it shows a connect to iTunes, then it is in Recovery mode. You will need to restore the phone.
You make the comment that you didn't do anything to your phone for the past few months. Does that mean you did try or modify the phone in the past. Since you do not have an Apple store there, then you have to rely on the Authorized Service Center. If they will not work on the device, you don't have much choice.

I have the iPhone 5 and have with 6.0.1 software version. Although I had them when I moved from iPhone 4 to the 5, the latest update has most of my songs on the phone listed in grey (over 95% of them) and I can't play them. They are still listed though.

P.S. When I look at my Playlists most of the songs are greyed out. However, at the bottom of the list there is a cloud icon with a downward facing arrow. When I click on it each song starts to "load" and after a few minutes I have the songs back on in the list. I have to do this to all my playlists (I had over 100) in order to get access to all my songs. Then I did a sync and it happened again!
I use iCloud for documents and some other things (calendar, contact, etc.) but am not aware that I have anything music-wise in the cloud. Any thougnts?

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Never heard of that. I suspect it thinks that's an email address and you're seeing that screen b/c you don't have an email account setup on your iPhone.
Assuming the number is valid, try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

Sir, your Apple ID can be used as an iCloud account as well. They are both the same thing.

You also said "I have yet to back it up." Therefore, all your information that had been on your iPhone is now gone.
Your iPhone has (and will continue to) been refreshed from iTunes.

Using multiple Google calendars through my iPhone, my work calendar treats my personal calendar like a separate account and won't let me modify the events from my phone.

I have multiple calendars on my Google account, though I mostly use my work calendar and my personal calendar. The personal calendar is the main one attached to my Gmail account. My problem is that when I create an event on my work calendar, it registers it weirdly: it says that my work calendar invited "me" (my personal calendar) to attend. This means that I'm left with limited options, either to "accept" the event, which copies it from my work calendar to my personal calendar (not what I want, since I have two separate calendars for a reason), or "decline," which makes the event visible on my computer, but invisible on my iPhone. I also can't modify any of these events from my phone - all I can do is RSVP. Since my schedule changes day to day and I need to add notes and constantly modify the events, this is a huge inconvenience and is having a negative effect on my work because it has led to my messing up appointments.
Events have also been disappearing from my phone, despite the fact that they're visible on my computer, and I think that's because they're events of that type, where my work calendar somehow invited "me" to them, but they are hidden on my phone. I have changed sharing permissions so that I am allowed to modify events in every way from every side, though it's really all on the same account, so I don't understand why this is happening.

Whenever a menu choice is grayed out, that is because you have Restrictions turned on in Settings. Be sure to turn it off.
You are confusing an itunes store account with an icloud account. You two can continue using the same ID for itunes (thus sharing purchased music, apps, etc.), but you really should have separate accounts (different IDs) for icloud, since an account is intended for one user to keep his/her devices in sync.
To create a new icloud account, go to
http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
Then go to Settings>icloud and scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete Account. (have restrictions turned off) That will disconnect the device from the account but will not delete data in icloud or other devices. Then sign in using the new ID.

Hi macmac57. I don't memorize my numbers anymore, so I know how important it is to have all your contacts on your phone at all times. Did an update occur or a new application download when your contacts disappeared? Have you been backing up your device with your computer? You can try to restore your contacts from your last backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
Are you syncing your iPhone between multiple computers? This can sometimes create issues with your contacts. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1474

How do I modify the Title Column of a Task List using JSLink

I would like to modify the title column of a Task List in SharePoint 2013. I would like to make the title column different colors based on a selection in another field. For some reason I can run the TitleRendering function
on a different filed and it works perfectly, but when I try to run it on the Title field it is completely ignored. Is there some kind of work around for this?

Per my understanding, the TitleRendering function is not been applied to the Title column of the Task list.
I suggest you replace the “Title” with “LinkTitle” in your .js file:

A list of faults - is it me or the phone?

I have a 8120 Pearl - I’m brand new to Blackberry so I’m unsure of whether I have a faulty phone or I’m just doing something wrong. My service provider also claims not to really understand them yet either and so are unable to help me with my list of faults:
• Phone is not GPS enabled so I can’t access Blackberry Maps. Is this a feature I should have access to?
• On connecting to computer (mac), I say yes when it asks if I wish for Mass Storage Device to be activated, but I am unable to copy photo’s off of the phone, nor get any music files on to the phone.
• Quite a few websites don’t load – I get an internal error message appear
• It's latest trick is to delete all my text messages (inbox and outbox) and my call log list, which is really annoying!
Is it me or the phone?? If anyone can at least tell me that much I’d be hugely grateful! Thank you :-)

For the first question the Pearl 8120 does not have built-in GPS. You will need to purchase a Bluetooth GPS receiver and pair it with the device in order to get GPS functionality.
And for the deleting of the texts and call logs, that usually happens when the memory is low. When the internal memory gets lower (lower than 12MB in some cases, although there is not a set number) the device will start deleting messages and/or call logs to conserve memory. You can check your available memory by going to Options > Status and checking the File Free parameter.
The quickest way to free up some memory is to perform a hard reset. Remove the battery from the device (while it is still powered on) for about 10 seconds, then reinsert. Also, look at the links below for ways to maximize the memory:

There is absolutely NO way to drag and drop newly purchased music from the Purchased list on the phone into my iTunes library? I'm finding it hard to believe that something so simple cannot be done!

I like to make MP3 CD's when I have people over, or when my friends have people over so I can just pop them into the CD player and let them play all night without having to worry about changing the CD or anything. Well, Apple's music is in AAC format, so I have to convert the songs to MP3 files using the converter in iTunes. So I'll convert them to MP3's and just delete the AAC file so I don't have doubles. The problem is, the next time I plug the phone into my laptop to transfer new purchases, iTunes thinks that the songs I converted aren't there anymore because the phone has them as AAC files, and iTunes has them as MP3 files, so it doubles the music again...EVERY time!! It's very frustrating! So this is why instead of clicking Transfer Purchases, I would like to be able to just drag and drop the songs I want from the Purchased list on the phone into my iTunes library. I hope I explained this right...lol. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like I'm able to do that. I'm hoping maybe somebody here can help me out and give me some pointers on what to do about this. That stinks! I can actually do that at my house...I just plug my iPhone right into the wire that's plugged into my receiver in my living room...but some of my friends aren't "technology savvy"...lol...so they just have DVD players and I'll put the CD in there because it will read an MP3 disc. What's funny, is I have the phone set to "Manually Manage Music", and when I plugged it into the laptop just now, the one song I downloaded last night on the phone, transferred over to the iTunesl library. That NEVER happens. And it only transferred the one song...it didn't double the other songs like it ususally does. I swear, iTunes does what it wants, when it wants sometimes...lol. I did a backup on my phone a couple months ago, but it was on a friends computer,which they no longer have. Syncing shouldn't trouch you photos unless you have photos in a Photo Library album. These would be photos that were synced to your phone from your computer. If you do have any, you'll need to use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your computer prior to syncing.
If you prefer to backup your camera roll photos prior to syncing, open iTunes and go to Preferences>Devices and check "Prevent...from syncing automatically". Then connect your phone to your computer and import them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then, to minimize data loss, follow the steps in this user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141. To follow the steps, first open iTunes and go to View>Show Sidebar. Also, Transfer Purchases is now located in File>Devices.

Hi Michela,
since the VI you want to modify is part of a Toolkit, I suggest you to copy the whole block diagram in a new VI and then save it in a new location.
Place the DB List Tables.vi on a block diagram, double click on it and go to the tab "Window -> Show Block Diagram "
Select "Edit -> Select All" to select the whole block diagram and select "Edit -> Copy"
Open a new VI and select "Edit -> Paste"
Save the new VI
In this way you can modify everything you want without overwriting the Toolkits VIs.
