Modifying values in opened frame

Hi. I've opened a new frame window from an
application. Now I want to modify a String that is
declared inside the frame from the main application.
The frame is a seperate class. How do I do this???You must provide a way to do it when you define your frame class. Is the string something shown in the frame, in a label or something? Then you must provide your frame class with a method approximately like this: public void setString(String s) {
label.setText(s);
}Then you call framename.setString("something") in your main class.
And how do I close the frame from the main app?
framename.dispose() does not work!
framename.setVisible(false);
framename.dispose();
framename = null; should remove it from the screen and clean it up.

How to copy value from one frame to another frame

Hi,
I am new to swing prgramming .
I have created a menu called " TopFrame " and it contains toplevel menu item "select" and select Menu contains subitems "firstframe", "secondframe", "thirdframe" and "Exit".
When i click select->firstframe it displays a new Frame f1 with a
textfield t1. I enter value in textfield t1 and minimise the frame.
similarly when i click select->secondframe it displays a new Frame f2 with a textfield t1. I enter value in textfield t1 and minimise the frame.
now when i click select->thirdframe it displays a frame f3 which contains button called "Totalvalue" and a textfield t2 .
MY question is after opening frame f3 when i press "Totalvalue" button it should add the values from textfield t1 from both the frames f1 and f2 and display the result in textfield t2 of frame f3.
Actually my application is big but for better understanding i have reduced the description above.

I have extended my application ...i have some doubts can you please clear my doubts..
Now i have two textfields t1 and t2 in both the frames frame 1 and frame 2 and i have 2 buttons Button1 and Button2, textfields t5 and t6 in frame3.
Now my question is i enter some values in t1 and t2 in frame1, and t1 and t2 in frame2 and minimise or close them...when i open frame3 and press Button1 it should take values from t1 in both frame1 and frame2 , add them and display the result in t5( in frame3)... similarly when i press Button2 it should take values from t2 in both frame1 and frame2, add them and display the result in t6(in frame3).
Can you please tell me how can i do this?

ERROR: Page is modified since you opened it!!

Hi All,
I have inserted sharepoint 'view' in page and in another page i have called that page using ajax call with custom filter vales, so the view has been displayed without any problem.
Now the problem is when i click the column name in the 'view' to 'sort' or 'filter' the page refreshes and throws the "ERROR:The page is modified since you opened it". I have tried this solution

Error: This Page has been modified since you opened it. You must open the page again.
Solution: If this is continually happening while editing a page using the browser the page may be detached from the page layout. Open SPD and reattach the page to its page layout.
Also check this if you have set the PostBackUrl of a LinkButton to the DefaultViewUrl of a list.
Solution: Using a HyperLink and setting the NavigateUrl to the DefaultViewUrl resolved the problem.

How often do you need to display it? It sounds like you might want to base a summary on that formula with a function of first or last. If it's a per page basis, it can be a page level summary. If it's at a higher level repeating frame, then you can create the summary at that level. I'd suggest taking a look at the online help for summaries using the first/last functions.

Stock Ledger Report in Day Wise not giving correct values for Opening Stock

Dear Experts,
I m working on Sock ledger report to give the day wise data.
since yesterdays closing Stock will become opening stock of today,
To get Opening Stock,
I have restricted the stock key figure with 2 variables on calday
                              (DATE FROM var with <=(Lessthan or equal to) and offset -1
                               DATE TO      var with <=(Lessthan or equal to) and offset -1)
To get Closing Stock,
I have restricted the Stock key figure with 2 variables on calday
                              (DATE FROM var with <=(Lessthan or equal to)
                               DATE TO      var with <=(Lessthan or equal to) )
But in the output Opening stock values are not coming correctly and for given range of dates,
for last date, opening stock is showing as Zero.
Could you please tell me how can I achieve the correct values for opening stock.

Seems like you are making it more complicated. What is your selection screen criteria?
Ideally you should only use the offset.
You will have say Calday in rows and stock in Column
____________Opening Stock_____________Closing Stock
01/06/2009___(Closing stock of 31/05/2009)_(Stock of 01/06/2009)
02/06/2009___(Closing stock of 01/06/2009)_(Stock of 02/06/2009)
03/06/2009___(Closing stock of 02/06/2009)_(Stock of 03/06/2009)
So, from above scenario, create one RKFs and include Calday in it. Create a replacement path variable on calday and apply the offset as -1.
So, your Opening Stock will be calculated by closign stock of previous day.

The following is part of my coding of a frame. Once i click on the jButton2, the selected value will be stored into a variable named NAME and the value will be displayed by a label in same frame. At the same time, a new frame named TESTING3 will be set to visible.

I had completed my iDVD project and burned a disc. It worked great! Then someone messed with the project and put a red frame around the opening screen. Now when I burn the project, it no longer has the opening frame. How can I fix?

I had completed my iDVD project, a Wedding Slideshow with pictures and music, and burned it on a disc. It worked great! Then someone messed with the original project on my computer and clicked around and put a red frame around the opening screen that has the Wedding theme with music. Now when I burn the project to make more DVDs, it burns but no longer has the opening frame. It immediately opens to the iMovie slideshow. How can I fix so I can burn the entire project with opening frames?

As Bengt suggested make a disk image of the successfully burned DVD using Disk Utility. Then you can burn copies any time you need one.
In the future once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image and launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding was good.
You can then burn it to disk with Disk Utility at the slowest speed available to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatium, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

[JS CS3] Modify geometricBounds of Inline Frames in Overset Text

Hello,
I have the following setting:
I recieve a XML file , which contains <image href="..."> tags. InDesign automatically inserts the correct images as an inline frame.
The layout column are too small for the large images, so when placing the XML into the layout, the whole content is in the overset.
Inline frames in the overset do not have any geometricBounds. Can I modify width & height of frames in overset text? And how do I do that?

I helped myself with the following:

The objectStyle "Img_free" sets the image frame from "inline" to "anchored frame". So the size of the image doesn't matter any more because its outside ("free") of the text. So everything flows into visibility and I can change whatever I want. (Yes, I must not do this with a object style, but it felt right to do so.)
It's basically a similar way to your description. But I had hoped that there would be a somewhat "cleaner" way to do that. In my eyes it is more a workaround ...
Any further suggestions?

Since installing Yosemite all my documents say created, modified, and last opened at 7 08

Since installing Yosemite (10.10.3 on a 2009 iMac) the dates of creation, modification, etc. of documents are shown correctly, but every one was Created, Modified, and Last opened at 7 08. Is my clock going bad? The time on the desktop menu gives the correct time.

For some reason OK disabled in the debugger's Modify Value dialog. Nothing that I have seen so far explains why this would happen. The variable stores an oracle.jbo.domain.Date, and the ADF source library was imported into the project.

Wrong value at open sales order

Hi experts,
with us today is a mystery surfaced.
The value of open customer orders from R/3 has been multiplied with the net weight from the material master and appears in our planning book as open sales orders.
But this happened only at 1 customer and only 1 material.
Does anybody has any clue how this could happen?

Could be a macro that does this for the specific material or materials ( you have mentioned that the problem is just for one material , but there could be more ) .
Also if you have any custom logic in the so user exit then that logic could be doing this for the specific material(s). Check all this.

What exactly do you need, just a list of categories applied on a document or something more? Here is a basic AttributeRequest for getting category info from document:

Passing a value of a inputbox the frame 1 for a inputbox in
frame 2.

Using AS2 you can either name the input textfield instance on
the stage or, you can name the variable property of the input
textfield. You can name either of these from the Property Inspector
window. Once named, you can then have access to the value of the
text that is entered. It will be either instanceName.text or
variableName.
The scope of either of these values lasts only as long as the
textfield instance exists. So, if the first textfield is in frame
7, for instance, and is only in frame 7, and you want to use the
value in another frame, say frame 20, then you'll have to store the
value outside of the textfield for later use. You can do this by
creating a variable in the first frame of the movie, and then
placing the text from the textfield in frame 7 into that variable.
Then at frame 20, you can retreive that value and use it in the
textfield in frame 20.
Alternately, you can continue the instance of the textfield
in frame 7 out through frame 20. The content will continue to be
available. You can add keyframes to the layer that the textfield is
in at frame 7, and move the object off the visible area of the
stage, so that it won't be seen, if you like.
