I Have Developed A MODULE POOL PROGRAM ,
It Basically Consists Of CREATE EDIT and DISPLAY Modes.
CREATE MODE:
When I am Creating For Example FORM NO 1,it is having Fields With drop down list box with values
A,B and C. if I Choose A then That form will Get Created With A value and Form 1 will be created.
EDIT MODE:
The same form If u want to edit In EDIT Mode ,it is displaying value A and it Showing the list box in the fillowing Manner.A,B,C,and A.(This is what the problem I am Facing Know).It Is Displaying the value two times.How to Avoid this ,PLs Help me in this regard.

Module pool programs does not executed in Background mode, Because Module pool programs must have a Transaction code for execute in foreground also, does not execute without transaction code..these transaction codes can not provide in background mode...this is the one reason.
another one is Module pool programs having 'n' number of screens as we as buttons...every screen must having manual interaction (click the push buttons or enter field values etc)..manual interaction not possible in Background mode....so we can't run the module pools in Background mode...

Need help in Module Pool,
when button click want to display screen in Display Mode only.....Hi Sharavan,
I hope you want to achieve the Toggle Display Functionality. To achieve this you have perform this following steps:
1. Define the names Properly for each of the individual Screen Elements. Like for Button you can do BTN_01.. etc etc...
2. In the PBO Module define a Module like MODULE screen_settings. In this you will run the following code:

SCREEN-INPUT = 0.
MODIFY SCREEN.

ENDLOOP.
For a group of BTNs or Text Elements you can form a GROUP and can Enable and Disable all at once.
3. The Next step is the handling of the Table Control.In the PBO event there you will have the LOOPing the Table control.
There inside the loop place a Module and enable and disable each and individual rows.
You must keep a central Instance from where you can check whether you want the screen elements in DISPLAY/CHANGE mode.

Module pool - table control - update ztable
hello , i doing a module pool that will have few screens , now i have one screen with a table control that fetch the data from a ztable when screen is call the table control is showing the data and is in grey and no editable i add a pf-status for change that mode i can delete the row from the table control but i don't figure out how update to the ztable when i press save , i wan't too another button for add a new row ( and remain the already in grey ) for add new entrie in the table and update the ztable

I have two reports .
1. Report : uploads a tab delimited " .Txt1" file and update the "z1" table
".TXT1" : File contains 4 fields
2. Module pool. :Uploads a a tab delimited " .Txt2" file and update another "z2" table
".TXT2" file contains the 4 fileds of ".TXT1" and also 2 extra fields.
I want to merge (call) the module pool program in the Report and perform the upload function using only one ".TXT" file.Please do guide me precisely .

How to make a fld mandatory in module pool program?
I need help on following 2 things
I have module pool program created, in that many screen subscreens created.
1.I want to make a field mandatory
second one is, I have a general tab and data tab.
General tab screen - 2101
Data tab = 2102
In general tab, I have edited the values (change mode), when change the values and try to save it,
It is holding old value.but If i exucute the transaction once again, it is showing the changed value(new value)
For ex: there is a date field value is 03/08/2009
If I change this to 03/09/2009 and press on Save button from the standard menu, still it is showing the value 03/08/2009. but I execute this transaction once again it is showing the value as 03/09/2009

Go to the properties of the filed select program tab and say input required.
then you will get the problem solved.
For second one actually its saving but not displaying the saved value at the same time ,
for this you write the select statement after saving , so that once save is execute m, select statement also will execute and it will display the newly saved value.
so after saving imdeatly u write the select statement.

How to track the cursor in the MODULE POOL?
Hello everyone,
I have developed one module pool program. I am facing a problem in tracking the cursor position.
Let me tell you in detail. I have display/change button on the screen. If I come in change mode and gives a invalid value to any of the field, then after pressing 'ENTER' my screen gets gray out i.e. in display mode with flashing an error message. If I press again 'ENTER' it gets in change mode by removing all the invalid entries user changed.
Now the requirement is I want the cursor to be placed at that particular entry in that particular column, where I have got the error message for invalid value.
Please Help me on this.

Assigning 2 fields of same table in Module pool screen
Hi,
I want to assign similar fields of table in module pool screen.
In one case i directly use the tablename-fieldname and in other case when i try doing the same i get error. I know that this is not possible.
Is there any way to get around this. The field i am referring to is attached to a custom domain which is having defined fields. In the second assignment i need to retreive the values of the domain and display it in dropdown mode so that the users are able to select it.

How to validate the field values in module pool program?

I am working with module pool programming.
Here I want to validate the fields like below.
with out filling all the fields if I click SAVE option it has to show a message that all fields has to be filled. This can be done by checking all the fields individually.
I think it can be done through <b>LOOP AT SCREEN ......ENDLOOP</b>. sequence.
If it is possible, can anyone help me?You need to write the Module in between the CHAIN and ENDCHAIN statment in SE51
If you send a warning or error message from a module <mod> that you called using a FIELD statement as follows:
CHAIN.

all of the fields on the screen that belong to the processing chain (all of the fields listed in the field statements) are made ready for input again. Other fields are not ready for input. Whenever the MODULE statement appears within a processing chain, even if there is only one FIELD attached to it, all of the fields in the chain (not only the affected field) are made ready for input again, allowing the user to enter new values. If the fields in the processing chain are only checked once, the PAI processing continues directly after the FIELD statement, and the preceding modules are not called again.

Runtime errors in module pool programming
HI all,
I have done a module pool program for invoice tracking level wise.
I am encountering a runtime error, LIST_TOO_MANY_LPROS, while execution ie., for two and more than two updations of the database.
The error analysis says that "At present, the maximum permitted number of nested screen levels is restricted to 50".
Short Text :- "No further list processing possible".
Can anyone please come out with a solution for this problem.

U should replace the comand CALL SCREEN with LEAVE TO SCREEN.
The command CALL SCREEN create an internal mode to link the calling screen to called screen automatically: in this way when it needs to back to calling screen it doesn't need to specify the screen number but only to use:
- LEAVE TO SCREEN 0.
or
- SET SCREEN 0. LEAVE SCREEN.
Now if you use LEAVE TO SCREEN, u need to indicate the screen when it needs to back to calling screen:
- Go from 100 to 200
LEAVE TO SCREEN 200. (Instead of CALL SCREEN 200)
- Back to 100.
LEAVE TO SCREEN 100. (Instead of LEAVE TO SCREEN 0)

Hello!
I upload a CSV file and based on that CSV file I create an XML "object". First I uploaded and downloaded it via gui frontendclass, but as it has to be run in a batch in the night I need to upload and download the data via OPEN DATASET.
The import and transformation of the CSV file works fine, also the transfer into an itab with the same structure as a CSV line is ok. I also create the XML file, which could be downloaded easily with gui-download but it is not permittet.
Import of data: I scan the folder and get the filenames into a itab, I loop over that itab and read the single files like this:

I am trying to consume BTQueryAUI in a custom function module. I have a requirement where in when i receive a external ref nbr, i need to update the status of crm service request to completed.
