Monthly "leasing" to permanent

Say someone JUST wants to use an app like Photoshop and finds a monthly arrangement affordable. If down the line they want to purchase a full license, will monthly use as a CC member be tallied against the cost for a discount?

No.
There is no link between Cloud payments and traditional licensed versions.

  • Need to create high & low payment based on 20% down for both 36 and 42 month lease terms.

I have 3 different tables on my worksheet and need to formulate low and high payment scenarios for both 36 and 42 month lease terms based on 20% down. Help.

Patience, trods. Remember that this is a user-to-user forum, and the participants arrive when they choose to or are able to, not according to a work schedule set by an employer.
    On your question:
So far you have supplied two factors, and implied a third, that would affect the size of the payments to be made:
Total amount, downpayment as a percentage of the total amount, and the term on the agreement in months.
From that you want to calculate a "low payment scenario" and a "high payment scenario" for a term of 36 months, and the same two scenarios for a term of 42 months.
Missing from the data is whatever factor determines how a "low payment scenario" differs from a "high payment scenario." What's missing?

  • Asset Lease accounting -non Linear lease payment

We are currently having a business scenario where an asset is acquired on capital lease basis.
Different depreciation area is maintained for leasing to account for interest on leasing.
The payments are made in monthly for lease payment.
The lease payment amount changes every year.
The lease tab in asset calculates Net present value on the basis on lease payment entered in the leasing tab.
Now since the lease payment varies every year the net present value calculation will be different(not as calculated in asset master -leasing tab).
I am not aware if the asset module can take care of any non-linear payment scenario to calculate the NPV and interest accordingly.
Example an asset ABC is acquired as capital/finance lease basis on
monthly lease payment  for 4 years as follows:
The said asset is to be capitalized  with net present value and we also need to ensure that interest calculation is done accordingly.
    1st year  1000/month
    2nd year  2000/month
    3rd year  1500/month
    4th year  1900/month
Since in lease tab only single lease payment can be entered, how the different monthly lease payment can be entered so as to calculate correct NPV.
Next how the correct interest calculation and net present value can be calculated correctly.
If any one has come across such situation, please reply.
    Regards,
    Manish Garg

    Hi ,
SAp 4.7 does not support non linear lease payment. Only the Equal lease instalment can be generated automatically when you will go for opening balance at the leasing tab of the display assets(AS03).
But the ECC6.0 support the change over the lease instalment,

same problem here - just upgraded in the last month to Windows 7, running Acrobat 9.3 STD.
HP elitebook 8730W, 1/2 gig on the nvidia Quadro graphics card and 4 gb ram - so that's not the problem, 2.8 ghz on the intel core duo - better not be the problem.
very unstable - crashes every time I try to open more than 1 pdf at a pop.  Also routinely crashes when doing simple thinks like putting a sticky note on a doc.  Very slow on any search functions.
I've lost many many hours to this program in the last month.  any permanent solutions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Using a dial-up modem

I guess I'm posting this out of sheer desperation, although it sounds like there isn't anything that can be done.  I moved to the DC area last November and before signing an 18-month lease, I contacted Verizon directly, and my building also contacted their local Verizon rep to ensure that I would have no problems using a dial-up modem connection.  I was very upfront about what I needed the line for and was given every assurance that everything would be fine.
Unfortunately, my fax modem is prone to constant disconnects, and I've been told by Verizon tech support that they can't run copper to the premesis.  I need the line to perform closed captioning for television.  Closed captioning still uses antequated technology which involves the text of what's being said on the program to be transmitted from my home to the TV station via the phone lines.  The modem regularly disconnects at 32 and 37 past the hour -- that's almost guaranteed -- as well as other times.
So long story short, Verizon tells me everything is fine until I sign a lease and sign up for service and tech support basically tells me there's nothing that can be done.  It's my livlihood that's on the line and there's nothing I can do about it. If by some miracle someone knows of something I can do to make a data transmission connection stable on fiberoptic lines, I'd be very grateful.  I've tried just about every fix I possibly can.
    Thanks.

Some people find by changing the error correction settings or speed on the modems, you can improve the reliability of a modem over FiOS voice. Realistically it shouldn't be causing a problem. Have you tried tinkering with the modem's settings if at all possible?

  • Help Purchasing 4 Copies of Photoshop CS6 with Discs?

Hi All, I am the Team Leader of a very busy medical photography dept at the largest public hospital in New Zealand and we wish to buy 4 new copies of Photoshop CS6 for our medical photogapher ie one for each photographer. We cannot, nor will ever, use the "Cloud" because of the highly confidential images that we document and distribute for medical records and clinical education. The lease option is not going to work either as every automatic monthly payment from generated from our purchasing dept, costs $30 ontop of what our monthly lease would be to Adobe making this too expensive( to say nothing of the inconvienience of being disconnected if a software payment gets missed one month).
Further, we will be upgrading all our machines from Windows XP to Windows 7 in a few months so this will mean re-installing Photosop CS6 (assuming that we can find someone willing to sell us the discs) after that as well...so for lots of reasons the best solution for us at the moment, would be to purchase legacy discs of Photoshop CS6( including Bridge) and I have secured trust funds to purchase this new software.I thought that I could buy 4 legacy versions from either  B&H photo in New York or Amazon( who both show legacy discs for sale on their respective websites) but neither will sell these discs to any one outside of the USA.
I have searched for licenced resellers in New Zealand via the Adobe website but none come up. I have tried ringing Adobe New Zealand( 5 times!) but they refuse to return my call even after leaving 5 messages and when I ring the customer support I get put through to a call centre in India where the support consists of an operator with very little English language skills. The one time I did get hold of a native English speaking customer support person in the USA they told me that I had to ring the UK to speak to a person there but the UK is 12 hours behind us so that would mean ringing them in the middle of the night to speak to speak to someone about this ....by now I hope you are getting a very small idea of my frustration with this process and appalling customer service!...can anyone help me please???
    Regards Mark Forster-King

I think you are misunderstanding a few things about Creative Cloud
The software is installed on your computer and the data never goes on the cloud unless you specifically choose to put it there.
You mention four copies, but one photographer.  Each license allows two simultanious activations of Photoshop.  Other people would not need Photoshop to view the images of course.
Your Creative Cloud subscription will NOT stop working if you are unable to log on to the internet for some weeks, (or even months if you have a years subscription).
You can pay for a full year in one go.
    Other things to consider:
As a medical department, you would probably want to use the measurment tools that come with the Extended version.  That makes CS6 a lot more expensive, but is an integral part of CC
There are some important features being added to CC that I can see your department making good use of.
Creative Cloud has a Teams option, although don't forget you can have two installations for each licence so long as both are used by the same person (deskop and laptop for instance)
I live in Marlborough, and I used to hate the permenent license model because of Adobe's price gouging.  It used to cost me around 50% more for Photoshop than people using the same program bought in America.  I am paying about NZ$23 a month for a Full Creative Cloud subscription of >30 applications.  That is almost exactly the same as in America.  Note this is the discounted first year price because I am a previous user, and it goes up to US$50 a month after that first year.
If you are able to qualify for the Photoshop Photographers bundle deal, you will get Photoshop CC and Lightroom for US$10 per month.  That is such a bargain.
So all in all, I would advise you to think again about a Creative Cloud subscription.
I am in NZ and would happy to talk to you, although I am not in any way working for Adobe, and would not be able to help regards account details.

  • Macbook pro 2011 maximum plug in time

I just got a new macbook pro 2011 and within a within a week I already have 9 charge cycles. The way I've been using it everyday, I'll charge it to 100% and then take it off, let it go down to 30-50%, and plug it back in till 100%. Using it like this everyday for a week has given me 9 charge cycles and I realize its bad because you need 1-2 a week.
-So is it better for me to leave it plugged in for 3-5 days straight and then take it off the power.. let it go down to 50%.. and then back to 100?
-What is the maximum amount of time that I can leave it plugged in continuously if I want 1-2 charge cycles per week - I feel apple's suggestion of not leaving it plugged in "all the time" is unclear on what "all the time" really is.

I realize that article says not to run on AC power all the time. But what exactly is all the time?
All the time is ALL the time. If you plug your computer into AC power and leave it plugged in for six months, you'll permanently damage the battery. Leave it plugged in for a year and the battery may be dead and impossible to charge. A notebook computer is not a desktop computer — its battery needs to be used at least a little on a regular basis.
If you never need to use the battery at all, Apple says you should calibrate it (see link in the article you've already read) a minimum of every month to keep the battery in usable condition.
If you never need the battery, why should you care whether or not it's in usable condition? Three reasons: 1) if the AC power goes out while you're working, the battery will instantly take over and prevent any of your unsaved work from being lost; 2) if the battery is dead, your processors will run at lower speeds; and 3) a good battery will enhance the resale value of the machine if and when the time comes to sell it.

  • How do I transfer my subscription for Ps CS6 to Ps CC ?

I have Ps CS6 installed and pay the monthly subscription fee. I have now installed Ps CC and would like to transfer my subscription to Ps CC. Is this possible?
    Thanks in advance.

I'm not completely sure why you think you need to cancel the CS6 subscription.
CS6 is available as either a perpetual license, for roughly the cost of a small house, or you can also download and use it if you have Creative Cloud subscription for Photoshop.
You have mentioned Lightroom, so I'm guessing (and hoping) that you are paying US$9.99 a month is in the USA, or a bit more if elsewhere.  That subscription entitles you to down load and use BOTH CS6 and CC.  You don't need to cancel CS6.
If you already owned a CS6 license before taking out the CC subscription, that is yours to keep for ever, and completely separate.   If you ever get tired of paying the monthly subscription, and permanent CS6 license will still be there for you go back to. (If you owned such a license).
If you are still unsure, give Customer Support a call and let them explain it to you.
After you install the Extension manager, take a look at these:
This panel gives you access to lots of free stuff, probably the nicest of which is Flypaper Textures.

  • Is it better to purchase applecare or insurance thru carrier like Sprint

In iphone 6 on order from Sprint ($50 everything $20/month lease plan).   Applecare or Sprint insurance?

I scratched the display of my 5S right after I bought it last year. I now want to sell it when my new phone arrives. I took the 5S into Apple, and they are replacing the display at no additional cost to me. I have Applecare +, and expected I would have you pay for the repair, but it is covered - by some magic.
I will purchase Applecare + for every device I buy in the future.

  • BT BroadBand and Calls

I ordered BT Broadband and calls on 21 October 2013. I am renting a house on a 12 month lease so I placed the order as soon as possible after moving in.  I was given an activation date of 11 November.  I was disappointed that it was three weeks later but, I though that I should just accept that.  11 November came and went.  I recieved numberous textys and messages.  An engineer would call.  Make sure that you are at the property between the procsribed house for the engineer to have access.  Nobody came, Nobody called.  I called BT.  BT have run out of the cable.   Now there are wbout 6 different BT vans operating in the area and they are bursting whith cable.  I have regarded this explanation with extreme scepticisim.  I have tried making complaints, that does not seem to work, they say that I will be called but it rarely happens.  One of the reasons I want broadband is that the mobile signal in the property is very poor, It is not possible to recieve mobile calls downstairs.  I have a Vodafone Suresignal which I will plug into the proadband when/if it is installed.
I could record every single call I have made but that would achieve little.
It is always 7 days hence that the engineer will call or the service wil be activated.
what do I do to get a BT socket installed in the house?  What do I do to get the services activated - BT land line and Broadband.
Today I have received messages telling me that I am now being billed for the service; I can now use broadband.  Not possible as there is not BT socket in the house, just wires hanging out of the wall.  I was told that my telephone has been active since 18 December, no it is not, there is not socket to plug it in to.  Someone is just having a laugh at my discomfort and unhappiness.  While making this message I did get a phone call from BT, I'll be contacted within 7 days.  The phone call disconnect my mobile tether connection so I've had to redo most of the message.
Can you advise how I actually get a telephone line installed and activated?  How I actually get a broadband service installed so I can actually use the internet and my mobile phone without having to go outside and sit on a bench outside round the corner from my house.
Very dissappointed and very Unhappy person.

  • How do I revert back to Leopard from Snow Leopard?

I've been searching for days on a way to do revert back to Leopard from Snow Leopard (install Leopard over Snow Leopard).
I recently upgraded to SL and have had enough problems with applications that at this point I want to just revert to Leopard and wait a few months until I permanently upgrade.
I tried placing the Leopard install disk in and got as far as rebooting. Once it rebooted to begin installation it did this weird grey screen and force me to restart manually - it continued this in a loop until I removed the disk; which allowed me to boot back up in SL.
Is there a way to do this other than doing a full uninstall wiping all my data? If that is the only option, is there a easy way to transfer my data (Time Machine maybe or something else?)

I would transfer my data manually to a partition on an external firewire drive. Then, I would clone my SL installation to another partition of the drive. Next, I'd start up to my SL installation DVD and use Disk Utility to erase my internal. Afterward, I'd quit Disk Utility and quit the installer. Then, I use my Leopard install disk to reinstall Leopard. Since you are having app problems, I reinstall my apps using, among other things, the app disk that probably came with Leopard. Copy your data back, and you are good to go.
