More 525 VPN phone issues.

So I have a VPN setup on a customers UC560 that has been working just fine for close to a year.  The 525 phone worked well at a remote location for 6 months and has been nothing but problems since.
I have wiped it to factory defaults, updated the firmware to 7.5.5, re-configured it via the wizard in CCA, increased the VPN DHCP pool to 10 from 3, and it tests out fine on our shop network here at work.  After that it is 50/50 whether it wants to sync up and work properly off-site.  The client brings it to his house where he has cable internet and a basic Linksys router and it boots up, shows the VPN icon on the top bar as connected but just sits at downloading some .xml file.  Bypasses the router and same thing so it can't be a weird firewall issue.
I was under the impression that if this phone finds an internet connection it would work.  Don't understand all the hit and miss whether it's going to sync up or not.

I have verified we're on the latest IOS...
Cisco IOS Software, UC500 Software (UC500-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 15.1(4)M6, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)
And I always use the 2.5.6005 version of Anyconnect.  Not sure about the DART thing.
Thanks for reminding me about the subnet.  The client is taking the phone home with him for testing and keeps reporting that the vpn connects but doesn't fully sync up with the phone system.  I bet he is on the same subnet of the system.  The data VLAN is 192.168.0.X which is common with home routers.

    I have an ASA setup with Anyconnect for VPN Phone.  The setup works great on comcast but for some reason the phone fails on FiOS and we cannot figure out why.  I typed the url the phone uses into a web browser: https://< ip address of ASA>/VPN_PHONE and I was returned a bad url of :  https://< ip address of ASA>/+CSCOE+/wrong_url.html.  This only happens on FiOS (we tested it on more then one location with same results.)  On all comcast and verison internet services the phone works fine.  Any suggestions or directions I should go in?

    When sending SMS, it pick the phone number randomly if the contact has more than one phone numbers. SMS ignore the default phone number too. Anyone having the same issue?

  • Deceptive Shipping pratices for orders of more then one phone

    Verizon basically cheated anyone if they bought more then one phone. I had the issue associated with the discounts, so I was unable to get my order though till 2:45 central. I ordered 2 phones one sliver 16gb 6 and one gold 16gb 6+. They Sliver 6 said deliver on 9/19 and the 6+ was 10/15. I was upset that it would be delayed cause of the errors on Verizon end but still wanted to save my place in line so I ordered. I considered splitting the order but didn't want to be delayed again. What I'm most upset about is even after confirming with Verizon that I would still receive my 6 on 9/19 I did not. I'm now being told that they can not separate the order and they have to be shipped together. This is a very deceptive practice and it basically gave them another iPhone to sell on opening day. Imagine waiting in line to buy two phones but them selling one of the phones you wanted to someone in line behind you cause they didn't have the other in stock. I fully understand that this was an extremely popular phone but to not have the most basically shipping practices is unacceptable. It is also not right that I was lied to about the shipping practices before launch day. I'm hoping that Verizon will be willing to do something to make this right but I expect a canned answer directing me to the order status page.

    unfortunately, there is no option or feature yet in Skype which allow users to login in one computer or device only at a time.

  • More than 1 phone # for a contact in iphone wont sync to outlook

    When I add more than one phone # for a contact directly to the iphone, and then sync it to outlook, it will never sync all the numbers I added to the contact, it will sync just the first one added. Anybody with this issue? Its really annoying having to type all the phone #s for a contact in the iphone and then again to outlook.

    Good luck getting a response on that question. I have the exact same problem, nobody will help me with it. You should return your iPhone and get an android, at least then you might get some tech support, and don't have to bother with iTunes.
    Spent all day on it there last week, and got nowhere. Uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes several times. Did all kinds of stuff, it was all a hassle. Lots of people have the same problem, Apple won't help you fix it.

    To disable that feature it will depend on whether or not you sync everything in the cloud using Apple's iCloud, OR if you both use the same desktop/laptop computer with iTunes.     I am wondering if anyone can assist me on configuring Cisco ASA 5520 site to site vpn with Avaya VPN Phone? According to Avaya, the Avaya 9630 phone acts as a VPN client so a VPN router or firewall is not needed.

    Yes I believe so. Try it and see you can always delete the Apple TV from a remote if it messes things up.
    But we have three remotes setup to do this. My iPhone and iPad and my wifes iPhone. She has a different iTunes logon but it seems to work fine

    unlike some of the sony ericssons, the apple headset can only be paired with one phone at a time. that doesn't stop you from repairing it when need be, however...

    If your question regards the ability of your Mercedes to access the text messages in your phone, the most likely answer is that your vehicle's audio system does not support the Message Access Profile. This Bluetooth profile was adopted in June of 2009, which means that Mercedes Benz wasn't implementing this capability mid-year.
    Your Merc simply will not be able to access those messages.
    If the dealer can do an update of the Firmware, it might improve the capability. But the expense of that might outweigh the ability to gain access to your texts. This is to say that there is even an upgrade possible. This is a major addition to the Bluetooth capabilities.
    FWIW, up until recently, most cars havn't had this capability. The earliest adopters were Ford and BMW.

  • How to provide voice to more than 2 phones with WRTU54G-TM?

    I'd like to use this router to serve more than one phone on each port (since I have more than one phone in the house that share the same line). Ideally, I could connect the router to the wall jack and allow it to serve all of the phones in the house that are connected to that line - something that the User Manual specifically warns against. Any suggestions? Allowing the router to serve more than one phone per port would significantly broaden the market for this router, as the current restriction excludes anyone with more than one phone (including cordless) per line (Directory Number). WORKAROUND The only workaround that I can think of to get more than one phone on a line is a multi-handset cordless solution, where one base station connects to one Phone port, but it connects to multiple, cordless phones. Example: Vtech i5871). Other than this restriction, I am pleased with the new, T-Mobile-specific router, WRTU54G-TM. Robert

    Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any changes you can make to the router or phone service to change the way the voice mail indicator work with various phones.
    The stutter tone has been a standard for a long time - I'm not sure what the variables might be between phones, but I've read a number of accounts of folks with other phones that do work the T-Mobile@home service and the Linksys router and activate the VMWI (visual message waiting indicator) properly.
    If you haven't yet, I'd suggest trying T-Mobile customer care, asking for the department that supports @home service, or the Linksys router. Unfortunately, with the popularity of the new service, it seems that T-Mobile underestimated the need for tech support on this, and the wait times (which I normally found to be short for T-Mobile over the last 7 or 8 years I've been a mobile customer) are now generally pretty long. But you should be able to leave a phone number, and have them return the call to you if the wait queue is too long.
    Also might be worth checking with the phone manufacturer to see if there's anything you can do to modify the way the phone works.
    I did a LOT of googling about vmwi's, stutter tones, FSK (another technology for controlling vmwi's), etc. and was amazed at how LITTLE is out there on the net for an industry standard like this.
    I wish I had more info to share with you about this. Please post back your experience -- this is clearly an area where we need more information sharing in general.

    My iPhone 4S is not allowing me to send any iMessages. It will say "not delivered" and send as a text. Is this an individual phone issue or system issue? I checked my settings and they are all correct.

    According to Apple's status site, http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ nothing is down.
    When you go into Settings>Messages, is iMessage activated? Are you connected to data via cellular or wi-fi? Are you able to access the Internet on the phone? What troubleshooting have you tried?

  • Speaker Phone Issues!!!

    Has anyone else  had problems switching between normal talk mode and speaker phone mode with thier iphone?
    When I switch to speaker phone, say to look something up on my phone while still communcating with the person on the other side we can communicate just fine, then when I want to switch back to normal talk mode they can no longer hear me. I can still hear them them even if I try switching back to speaker phone, the other person can be heard loud and clear, but they will no longer be able to hear me no matter what I do.
    I'm not sure if it is a phone issue or iOS issue. I had problems with my iPhone 4 and now again with my iPhone 4S. I am hopeing other people have had this problem and can give me a few hints as to solving it. Even if that means taking it in for an exchange, I dont really care, I would just like it to work. I set up an appointment for support but have yet to talk with anyone. I hope someone can help.

        Hi kat2653. Let's get your husband's phone working properly! When your husband is holding the phone up to his ear, is the screen not going blank? There's a great proximity sensor on the iPhone that should take care of the phone's screen sensitivity while on a call, because it makes the screen untouchable while it's blank. If that's not working, there may be something partially blocking it, like a case or screen protector.
    There's also been some wonderful enhancements to all the iPhones with the new iOS 6 updates. Please use the steps from Apple at  http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414 to make sure you're iPhone has been updated to Version 6.0.1 (10A523). You can also double check if this is the version you already have by going to Settings>General>About on the iPhone.
