More Everything Cloud Service

A few days ago I started the More Everything service. The plan brochure says you get 25gb of cloud storage per line. I have 2 cell phones and a Home Phone connect which means I have 3 lines?? I added the 25 gb storage features for each line on the website. It said it was $2.99 a month for each line of 25 gb of storage. The plan says 25gb of storage per line FREE. What am I missing here?
Also I logged into the Windows Verizon cloud App and it only shows me with 25GB of storage, where is my other 50gb??
I called tech support and the nice lady said I should have 75gb of cloud. Does this mean 25gb per line or 75GB shared?
None of this is very clear. Please clear up just what cloud storage I get with the More everything Plan with 3 lines.

It looks like there is supposed to be a $2.99 charge, but you should also be due a $2.99 bill credit..

"You can upgrade to 25GB from the Verizon Cloud apps or add the feature from My Verizon’s Change Features section. Qualifying customers will see a monthly $2.99 credit on their bill."

OR IS IT JUST LAZYINESS THAT YOU CHANGE THE DOLLAR SIGN FOR THE POUND?

it obviously doesn't, but then again some people or organisation only care about price when it comes to purchasing their laptops, and it is hard to justify making a special model for a selected few.
Sure everything can be done if there is a market for it, but Lenovo won't know how large the market is before hand, as such they are hedging a bet by not moving with the market (which Lenovo have done on many occasions). I guess the finanical return is not the worth the risk for Lenovo to keep the 4:3 or 16:10 screens.
But this debate has been going back and forth for a long time, so no point bringing it up again and again.

  • ITunes M4A vs Amazon MP3, ripping in iTunes, cloud services

Sorry to ask 3 different questions in 1 thread, but they're all kind of related..
    1) I've been struggling for a while to decide which service to use for digital music. Until recently, I always bought physical CDs and ripped them to my computer at 320Kbps. Then, Amazon started to attract me with all of the deals they have and free credits, not to mention the Cloud player. So I started buying from Amazon. I also had some iTunes credit, which I used and was surprised to find quite a difference in quality. Both are 256Kbps, but Amazon uses MP3, while iTunes apparently uses AAC M4A files. The thing that stands out to me is that the audio is louder and clearer.
Has anybody else noticed this? Everywhere I look online people say there's no difference in the two, but I swear there is. If you download the same song from Amazon and iTunes then listen to them back to back at the same volume, you should notice the difference. Preferable some kind of rock song with louder music where it may be a big harder to make out the lyrics. It's not so much "quality", like the MP3s sound "bad" compared to them, or are missing parts of the audio. It's just that the M4A files are louder and seemingly clearer, making it easier to understand lyrics. It's different than just turning up the volume, the words really stand out more in an M4A file.
So is it just me, or is AAC really that much better than MP3? The 256kbps M4As  from iTunes even sound better than the 320kbps MP3s I've always ripped from my CDs via Windows Media Player. I've not, however, compared to the 320kbps MP3s from Google Play, maybe I will try that sometime.
    2) Assuming that it's better, that means I need to re-rip my entire CD collection. Will ripping within iTunes to M4A 256kbps give me the same quality as if I bought the file from iTunes and downloaded the file? Also, it looks like you can rip all the way up to 320kbps. Is it even worth it with AAC files, or will I likely not notice a difference over 256kbps?
    3) Finally, cloud services. This is the one that has me the most confused. I have 2 goals really: #1, be able to listen to all of my music on my work computer in addition to my home computer and #2, have access to all of my music in some cloud service to access on my Android phone and Android tablet. I have 3 main services to chose from, Amazon, Google, and Apple, each with pros and cons.
    Amazon
Pros - lower prices, lots of sales and free credits, all MP3s purchased there are automatically added to my Amazon Cloud, as well as any albums that have the "AutoRip" feature, Amazon Cloud Player seems sufficient both on my desktop and mobile devices.
Cons - lowest audio quality out of all services, can only store 250 personal songs for free, $25/year to upgrade to 250,000 songs
    Google
Pros - lower prices than iTunes and sales, but not sure if they're as good as Amazon, all MP3s purchased there are automatically added to my play library
Cons - the desktop web client and mobile app aren't very good, IMO. You don't have much choice over how to view/organize the music. Amazon Cloud player seems better in every way.
    iTunes
Pros - best audio quality, iTunes Match for $25/year to have my entire iTunes library in iCloud, including songs not purchased from iTunes (no size/# limit that I'm aware of), iTunes desktop app works fairly well and could be installed on my work computer and play my entire library with iTunes Match
Cons - highest prices, no client for Android devices, iTunes Match costs $25/year
(if I left off any pros/cons, please point them out and I'll add them to the list)
So here's my predicament: I want to start ripping all of my CDs and making all of my digital purchases in iTunes, mostly because of the superior audio quality. But, doing it this way I'll have no good cloud option for my phone and tablet. I could pay for the Amazon Cloud Pro to be able to upload my entire library there, but I would lose the quality of most files (they would match the files with their versions). I could upload my library to Google Play, but I would lose the quality there as well AND I hate their web client and mobile app.
Alternately, I could start purchasing all of my stuff from Amazon. Then, I could pay for iTunes Match to upgrade all of my songs to the better quality files, but I still couldn't use it for cloud-purposes, and it seems the only way to get the files onto your computer is to delete the source file then download it from the iCloud, but a lot of people are saying that's risky.
So, I just don't know what to do. Is there something I'm missing here that would offer me a better solution? I wish Amazon would just start offering better quality audio files, that would solve everything.
Note: I'm aware I could just store my music ON my Android phone and tablet, but 1) that would take a lot of manual work and upkeep and 2) I wouldn't have enough space on my tablet for my entire library (or on the phone without buying a 32GB microSDHC card). So, I really don't want to go that route.

AAC is a more modern codec than MP3 and thanks to advances is able to be more efficient at compressing audio than MP3. This means that at the same bit rate e.g. 256Kbps AAC will retain more of the original quality than MP3 at the same bit rate. Most of the articles I have seen say that roughly a 256Kbps AAC file would be equivalent in quality to a 320Kbps MP3 file meaning the AAC file is up to 25% more efficient.
You could if you wish rip CDs at 320Kbps AAC and that in theory would sound even better compared to a 320Kbps MP3 file. However for most people listening on a portable media player (aka. iPod) with standard earphones you would not be able to tell. In a home playing through your HiFi speakers then you might be able to tell the difference.
By the way, it is now possible to rip all your CDs in Apple Lossless format meaning it is exactly the same quality as the original CD, and still have iTunes automatically convert to AAC when copying to your iPod/iPhone. This way you get full CD quality in your home, but use a smaller slightly lower quality file on your iPod/iPhone.

  • "Failed to debug the Windows Azure Cloud Service project. The Output directory .... does not exist" - Looking for Solution Config Name Folder?

    Good evening,
I've been working on and with a VS2013 Update 2 / Azure SDK 2.3 Cloud Service project for a while now and never had a problem debugging it (setting the .ccproj Project as Startup Project) but at the moment I cannot Debug it anymore - I always get the following
    error message:
Failed to debug the Windows Azure Cloud Service project.  The output directory 'D:\Workspace\Development\Sources\AzureBackend\csx\Backend - Debug' does not exist.
Now what's odd here, is the last part - the "Backend - Debug" is the Solution configuration name, ALL projects in that particular solution configuration are set to the Debug Configuration. The .ccproj file also only specifies Debug|Any CPU (and
Release|Any CPU respectively) as its output folder(s). Why is the Solution config appearing up there?
And more importantly.. why is this happening and what can I do?!
    Thanks,
    -Jörg
Ps: there seems to be a related
connect bug and these sorts of issues do appear around the forums but none contains a solution (neither reinstalling the Azure SDK nor cloaking the workspace/re-retrieving & building everything worked).

    Good morning Jambor,
I already tried de-installing everything Azure-Tooling related including the Azure SDK, Restarting my machine and re-installing the SDK.
Same result. I can build the .ccproj perfectly fine and the cspack file IS generated perfectly fine, only debugging does not work and there's NO information in the VS output window (again - all projects succeed to build).
I tried explicitely running VS as Administrator, no change. I removed all IIS Express sites (as the ccproj has one web worker role), remapped my local TFS workspace.. nothing helped.
As building works, deploying to Azure Cloud Service (manually and via Publish inside VS) all works -perfectly-, I am pretty sure this IS a bug and I'd LOVE to help to get this fixed. As I said, currently I cannot debug and/or run & test my work, hence
    I cannot do ANY work.

  • WCF Service hosted in Azure Cloud Service errors after published

I have a project with several WCF services (mix of REST and SOAP).  The project has been running On-Prem for 6 months without an issue.  We are moving this to Azure but have run into an issue that will prevent us from going live.

It appears that it's having an issue with the service configuration endpoint.  That is registered through Autofac WCF integration using the OOTB RouteTable here:
    RouteTable.Routes.Add(new ServiceRoute("Event/Calendar", new AutofacWebServiceHostFactory(), typeof(CalendarSvc)));
All of this works fine in IIS and the local Azure emulator, but once deployed to the cloud service is where we get an issue.

I don't know Autofac. What is it doing? If you use a normal WCF REST service, or ASP.NET Web API, do you see the same issue? If it does work, you may want to post a question on Autofac's forum:

  • Cloud Service Not Running

    Hi There,
I am new to azure but I hope someone can help me. I have an asp.net web application that I am currently trying to move to azure as a cloud service. I have it set up in Visual Studio and converted it to a windows azure cloud service. This all works fine and
I can build and run the application in visual studio 2013 no problem using the azure emulator. 2 days I deployed this to windows azure and it worked just fine.
Now today, I have made changes to my application and I am trying to publish from Visual studio once again. This is failing every time whether I try to publish to staging or production. So to try and fix this I deleted everything from windows azure account
through the portal so I could start again.
Now when I create a new cloud service it creates okay but under production and staging there is a dash. I believe it is meant to say "running here". I am unable to publish to my cloud service, my application uploads from visual studio but then
i get an error telling me that i cannot publish (sorry i don't have the exact error message, but it is not very informative anyway, something like "unable to publish"). I have been googling and people are mentioning certificates and storage accounts
    and editing the config files.
I cannot understand why it worked for me on my first attempt and now i cannot successfully create a cloud service.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would normallly give much better information to trouble shoot something, but having little knowledge of azure, i have no idea what other information you might need to help me, but please ask and I will tell you. Oh
I am on the free trial, I do still have credits.
    Thank You
    David

    Hi,
I have solved the problem and I want to inform you how I did it.
The problem was that after i created my first azure cloud service and successfully published it, i then made some changes on my computer with visual studio and created a new project and copied over the files from the old project to the new project.
Somewhere along the way my certificates got lost. I now know that cloud services will create in azure without certificates but they will never run and deployments will fail.
To fix the issue i right clicked on my application in visual studio, i clicked publish, and then clicked the previous button twice to go back to the sign in, there it showed me my subscription, i clicked on the down arrow and clicked manage. I forget exactly,
but somehow i managed to sign out and delete existing subscriptions from my computer. Then i had to sign in again, and then click manage once more, then i had to go to certificates and remove the existing certificate, then click import and then you are given
a link to click on to download the certificate from azure, I downloaded it to my desktop, then imported that file, and then i proceeded to publish. Before i clicked finish it was still remembering my old storage account so at the top in the profiles drop down
menu i had to delete my profile (maybe i had to click manage or something first), then once i deleted my profile it researched and found the correct storage account. I have learned that without an already created storage account in azure that the publish will
    fail too.
So for me, i had to fix my certificates, and then i had to make sure that i had a storage account in azure.
I hope this information helps someone else. I have been in IT and software development for many years and i must say, i am not finding azure cloud to be very easy.

  • Does VZ still have a back up to the cloud service? and if so How can I find out if I am enrolled? And if I am, what all is backed up?

my phone is acting hinky. and thinking of a "master reset" but don't want to loose contacts, pictures and music.

Verizon still has a backup to the Cloud service.  Its included in the more everything plan and most other plans have at least 5GB of storage.  You could find out what features you have on your account in My Verizon.  Log in and look at apps and features and programs.  Alternatively, if you are using an Android phone and some others, you can use Google Gmail to backup contacts and Google Drive to backup all other files pics music and videos.  You can also back up your content to your PC.  DropBox and OneDrive are other alternatives with storage space.  Gmail gives you 15GB and OneDrive 15-30GB.

  • How do I tell my clients to configure the connectionstrings for a cloud service?

I have an application that exists in two forms
    A Windows Service
A Clouse Service with a Web Worker Role
    Both applications have an encrypted connection string in the app.config;
for clients using the Windows Service I know how to tell them to change the config file.
For a cloud service is it possible to edit the configuration file?
I read something about Azure Settings, but I can't find any good information about that, is that the preferred method for setting environment settings in a Cloud Service?
Can you remote in to a VM or whatever hosts the Cloud Service?
Thank you for any help. I am writing the documentation about how to setup the Azure environment and I realized I don't know myself, I only know how to publish with Visual Studio to a cloud service with the values already set. That works, but I can't
tell a client to use Visual Studio.

    Hi,
For a cloud service, though it is possible to access instance VMs and do changes on their file system by RDP sessions, but it is not recommended, as you will end up loosing your changes if role instance VMs are restarted.
If you really want to keep certain settings configurable and which will be shared by all your role instances, best way to do is to utilise the cloud service configurations, typically you mention these settings in .cscfg file and you can also edit those using
    azure management portal.
You can also access those from your code
    string settingValue = CloudConfigurationManager.GetSetting("SettingString");

  • No discount, no prorate when switched to "more everything plan" mid month?

I have switched to the "more everything" plan in the middle of the month. When I received a bill, it turned out that
    - they backdated the change to the beginning of the billing cycle (I did not ask for it)
    - they did not give me $25 Edge discount for the first month
I called customer service twice, and both times I was stonewalled, but with two completely different theories.
Lady #1 (Lolita) told me that I would incur data and minute overages if I started the new plan in the middle of the month (actually, I would not). Then she said she was able to prorate my plan and gave me some discount. As for the lack of $25 edge discount for the first month, she declared that I can get it only if I give up my employee discount (21%), which is a total **. I requested to talk to a supervisor, and I was told he will call me within an hour, but he did not.
Lady #2 (Ashley) told me that there are no traces of the change Ashley has allegedly made, and if I do plan change in the middle of a cycle (a.k.a. "on demand change"), I would have to pay for BOTH plans for this month . So they did me a favor by backdating the switch for me. She also told me that I am not getting the Edge discount for the first month, because they refunded the money I paid for my previous plan for this month and "it's a wash" (whatever that means). She was unable to explain how refunding the money for the old plan bears any influence on the presence or lack of a discount in the new plan. She also indicated that lady #1 was incorrect in telling me that first month discount is incompatible with the employee discount (of course she was). I demanded to talk to a supervisor and was told that I will get a call back in 72 hours.
What a mess! I've been using Verizon for 14 years, and I don't recall such an abysmal customer service.
I also tried to find a way to start a billing dispute in writing, so I get some material evidence of the ludicrous "explanations" I am being given, but I did not find any way to contact Verizon Wireless in writing - all the avenues I explored on the web site ended up with "call the customer service number". Is there a way to send them an e-mail, or a snail mail letter?

I recently switched to the 10gb more everything plan, I have 3 lines that weren't under contract with smartphones we own and they got the $25 discount. I have 1 new line that we added with an old smartphone that we own and they get the $25 discount. Also have several other lines on the edge program and they get the $25 disocunt, along with the charge for the new phone.

  • Cisco Jabber for Telepresence 4.6.3 Setting for "Webex Telepresence" Cloud Service

I am looking for the server setting that can be installed into the Cisco Jabber for Telepresence Client (MOVI) that will allow it to connect to the "Webex Telepresence" cloud service.  I cannot find a download anywhere that has the infomation re-configured for the "Webex Telepresence" service.
Thanks for your help in advance
    Tim
Well after a few hours of searching i have the Answer
The Client can be downloaded from: http://download.telepresence.webex.com/MCX/4.6.3.17194/WIN/JabberVideo_4.6.3GA.exe
This will come with the following setting pre-configured: Sign-in Setting > Internal Server: https://boot.telepresence.webex.com/tmsagent/api/rest/devices/movi/provisioning
If you have the JabberVideo Client installed and just want to change where it gets provisioned from VCS or Webex Telepresence then you should be able to use your current client and just change the internal server settings and clear the external setting.
Then you will need to use your Webex Telepresence Login ID and Password.
    Hope this helps Someone.

A1: Because it can use either (webex or CUPS), there are two deployment modes, all is on the documentation if you haven't gone thru it.
You type in what it's asking, nothing more. Choose one, and then use the CUPS hostname, DNS is basically mandatory, the PC needs name resolution for all you have configured (VM/CUCM/etc)
A2: No, it can be IM&P, full UC and phone mode. No, Full UC and phone mode use the PC for media termination, deskphone control uses the phone for media. Did you change the parameters during install for phone mode??? If not, it's not in phone mode.
A3: No, that can be many things, DNS, connectivity, credentials, etc
You mention DNS is not used, so, most likely that's the problem.
I'd strongly recommend you to review the whole deployment guide for Jabber for Windows.

  • Is it possible to use both an ILB and an ELB (listening on the same port) in the same Azure cloud service?

I'm building a test Lync deployment on Azure; yes, I know this is not supported, hence "test".
Lync Front-End servers expose two set of web services, one for internal users and one for external ones; they listen on different ports (443 and 4443) on the same servers; when external services are published, you need a reverse proxy or a port forwarding
in order to map port 443 of a public IP address to port 4443 of the Front-End server(s). When you have multiple Front-End servers in a pool, you also need to load-balance them.
So, a typical Lync deployment looks like this:
           Internal users
                     |
                   443
                      |
              Internal LB
            192.168.0.20
            443         443
              |               |
Lync FE 1     Lync FE 2
    192.168.0.21 192.168.0.22
              |               |
          4443        4443
              External LB
           Public IP Address
                     |
                  443
                     |
           External Users
This should be easily replicated in Azure, as it supports both external load balancing and internal load balancing. They are even supported together in the same cloud service, so this configuration should be easy. However, it looks like "should"
    is the keyword here.
After creating the external load balanced endpoint (which listens on external port 443 and forwards to port 4443 on the servers), I'm trying to create an internal load balancer and add internal endpoints to is; however, while the ILB can be created successfully,
adding an internal endpoint listening on port 443 and forwarding to port 443 on the servers fails miserably, with an error stating that port 443 is already in use by another endpoint:
Update-AzureVM : BadRequest : Port 443 is already in use by one of the endpoints in this deployment. Ensure that the port numbers are unique across endpoints within a deployment.
    For reference, my commands are:
Add-AzureInternalLoadBalancer -InternalLoadBalancerName "LyncILB" -ServiceName "LyncFrontEnd" -SubnetName "LabSubnet" -StaticVNetIPAddress 192.168.0.20
    (This completes successfully)
    Get-AzureVM LYNCFE1 | Add-AzureEndpoint -Name "Https-Int" -Protocol "tcp" -LocalPort 443 -PublicPort 443 -LBSetName "HttpsIntLB" -DefaultProbe -InternalLoadBalancerName "LyncILB"
    (This fails)
The existing external endpoint is configured as such:
    Get-AzureVM LYNCFE1 | get-azureendpoint
    LBSetName : HttpsExtLB
    LocalPort : 4443
    Name : HTTPS-Ext
    Port : 443
    Protocol : tcp
    Vip :
    ProbePath :
    ProbePort : 4443
    ProbeProtocol : tcp
    ProbeIntervalInSeconds : 15
    ProbeTimeoutInSeconds : 31
    EnableDirectServerReturn : False
    Acl : {}
    InternalLoadBalancerName :
    IdleTimeoutInMinutes :
    LoadBalancerDistribution :
The error doesn't even make a lot of sense; the external load balancer listens on a public IP address, while the internal load balancer listens on a private IP address in the internal network; there
shouldn't be any conflict here... however it looks like there is one instead.
Why doesn't this work? Am I doing something wrong, or is Azure networking just being silly as usual again?

    Hello Massimo Pascucci,
The issue that you are facing when creating an endpoint with internal loadbalancer is the limitation of not allowing same ports to be listening under a single cloud service. This reason for this is that there is a limitation of only one private IP (Also
known as the Internal load balanced IP) per cloud service.
There is also a limitation on the Internal load balancer more than one port to be published per load balancer:

  • Error while deploying adf application on oracle cloud service

hello, i hv registered oracle cloud service for java and database. i hv created simple adf application in which there are 2 jsf pages only linked together. I m using oracle jdeveloper 11gr2. so i hv created ear file for deployment on cloud. i deployed adf application on cloud using java console. But, after uploading application, deployment was failed. I tried 3 times this, but the result was same. I checked log, where i got 3 warnings in whitelist log and error in deploy log. Those are as follows:

I am using jdeveloper 11gr2, so pls dont tell me to use jdeveloper 11gr1. because, i hv already developed an application for my final year B.Tech and i cant migrate to previous release. So there is only one way for me by generating ear file and deploying from console.
    So,
I m not getting what is the problem and what will be solution for this?
    What should i do?
    What changes should required?
pls, help me to get out from this problem !!!!!

Well, I guess you have a problem here. Check http://multikoop.blogspot.de/2012/12/deploying-adf-applications-into-oracle.html and from this
    >
Note: In its current stage Oracle Java Cloud Service runs WebLogic Server 10.3.6 with the appropriate Runtime ADF 11.1.1.6. Deployment of ADF 11gR2 Applications is currently not supported. Beside this limitation some ADF Features are not supported on the Oracle Cloud. According to the Oracle Cloud Documentation it is not supported to use the following ADF features
    ADF Desktop Integration
    ADF mBean
ADF MDS (Seeded customizations or cross-session personalization)
    ADF Mobile
ADF Active Data Services (=> No real-time ADF Web Apps in Oracles Cloud)
ADF Business Components services interfaces (web services) or events
ADF Data Controls for BI, Essbase, BAM, and JMX
Further there are some restrictions which are good to know I think
No Java Mail API (=>Sending Mails is prohibited)
No File system access by deployed applications (=>Writing files is prohibited)
No Direct use of Oracle JDBC Driver APIs
    No Java Message Service (JMS)
Max Size for deployment archive 95MB

I hope for you that the information from the blog has changes in the meantime (blog is from end of last year). Check the current doc for the cloud ...

  • How do I configure Azure to let my cloud service make an outbound API call

My cloud service works locally when I debug it, but when I deploy it, I know it has database access because database updates are taking place.
It seems like the service is not able to call make calls to the Yammer API on port 443 for SSL (is that right?)
    https://www.yammer.com/api/v1/messages.xml?older_than=[MinMessageID]
That is one example, but all the calls start with everything up to
    https://www.yammer.com/api/v1
Is there a firewall setting I need to create so that my cloud service can make outbound calls?
    Thank you for any help.

  • Need advice for starting a Managed Cloud Service for Small Businesses

I hope this is in the right forum.  I have done a lot of research and searching but havent found anything that specifically answers, in total, what I am wanting to accomplish.  I live in a small town and want to start a Managed Cloud Services for
small to small-medium business in my area (2-30 users for each business).  I want to market this to have businesses replace their in-house server(s) to virtual ones I would host in a local Data Center with my own equipment that I would maintain.  I
am just starting off so I don't have any clients I do this for currently, but I get asked about this frequently.  I want to run a 2012 R2 Domain Controller and a Hyper-V 2012 R2 server.  The virtual servers I will host are going to be for AD, RDS,
FTP, and files.  Software examples that people are going to be using these virtual servers for are Quickbooks, Sage Accounting, Remote Desktop or RemoteApp, custom CRM or small database software, Office 2013, etc.  No Exchange currently but will
probably configure something for that in the future (maybe run 1-3 virtually for now if someone asks, but will only do it if the user base is fairly small ~under 10 users).  I only have 1 static IP to work with over a 100Mbps connection up and down.
For hardware, I am figuring something along the lines of this:
    (1) 1U, single CPU w/2-4 cores, 8GB, 2x73GB SAS 10k RAID 1, Dual PSU, running Windows Server 2012 R2
    Domain Controller
    (1) 2U, 2x 8-core Xeon ~2.6Ghz, 80GB RAM, 8x600GB SAS 15k in Raid 10 for Storage (VHDX files, etc), RAID 1 small Basic drives (or USB stick) for OS, Dual PSU, Quad GB Nic which I can use for load balancing/teaming, Hyper-V
    2012 R2
    Hyper-V Virtual Server
    (1) GB Unmanaged Network Switch & (1) Cisco 5510 Firewall
Most of my questions are about the best way to configure this.  I am planning on managing my Hyper-V from the physical Domain Controller server.  Each virtual server will have RDS & (possibly) AD services on a single server.
    1) I want to replicate the physical Domain Controller.  Should I get another server or just virtualize the replica in Hyper-V?  I understand that if the Hyper-V goes down, so does my DC replica.
    2) Should I use my Domain Controller to manage ALL users on each virtual Server, by creating separate Organizational Units for each business?
    3) Should I setup my domain controller with Hyper-V management and then each Virtual Server I setup be a separate domain (Ex. mydomain.local, business1.local, business2.local, etc)?  Each one has no connection to any
other, completely seperate.  Or should I do subdomains (business1.mydomain.local).
    4) What I have read is that Subdomains are a pain to manage with user rights, etc.  I want to keep each server complete separated from one another over a network connection, I suppose the VLan through Hyper-V options
do this?  I dont want wondering users to stumble upon another businesses files (I know they would probably be prompted with a login for that business/domain).
    5) For each virtual server, I want to create and have an HTTP subdomain point to that server from my domain name. (Ex: business1.mydomain.com, business2.mydomain.com, etc.)  I want them to be able to have access to
only their RemoteApps or be able to type that address in their Remote Desktop program as the host name.  This would be for viewing the RemoteApp login page and RemoteApps for that business over HTTP/S through a browser.
    6) If I do not have separate DC's in each virtual and my main DC manages each one, is their a way to connect up each companies RemoteApps using a single site that only shows what they are assigned to based upon their login?
(Ex. http://login.mydomain.com which then shows that user what they are assigned on their own virtual server)
    7) Since each business will use the same ports for RemoteApp (443) & RDC (3389 unless I change it), how would I setup the subdomains to point to their correct server and not overlap for mess with any of the other servers
since its all over 1 static WAN IP for all servers.  Thats why I figured setting up IIS subdomains would solve this.
    8) For backups or Hyper-V replication, is it better to have software that backs up the ENTIRE Hyper-V server (Acronis Advanced Backup for Hyper-V) as well as replication or just backups?  Or should I do separate file
backup on each virtual with a replica?  Can a replica be a slower server since its just a backup? (Ex. 1x 8 core, 80GB, 8x600GB 10k SAS)
    9) For the servers that will be using FTP, can I again rely on the subdomains to determine which server to connect to on port 21 without changing each FTP servers ports?  I just want each business/person to type in
the subdomain for their business and it connect up to their assigned FTP directory over port 21.
    10) If the physical DC manages DNS for all Virtual servers, can I forward sub domain requests to the proper virtual server so they connect to the correct RemoteApp screen etc.  Again all I have is 1 IP.
I hope all of these questions make sense.  I just want every business to be independent of each other on the Hyper-V, each on their own virtual server, all without changing default ports on each server, each server running RDS, (possibly) AD, (a few) FTP,
and all over a common single WAN IP.  Hoping subdomains (possibly managed through IIS on the physical DC) will redirect users to their appropriate virtual server.

If you really want to run your own multi-tenant service provider cloud, Microsoft has defined the whole setup needed.
They call it Infrastructure as a Service Product Line Architecture.  You can find the full documentation here -
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/yuridiogenes/archive/2014/04/17/infrastructure-as-a-service-product-line-architecture.aspx
There are several different ways of configuring and installing it.  Here is a document I authored that provides step-by-step instructions for deploying into a Cisco UCS and EMC VSPEX environment -
    http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/UCS_CVDs/ucs_mspc_fasttrack40_phase1.pdf
This document contains the basic infrastructure required to manage a private cloud.  I will soon be publishing a document to add the Windows Azure Pack components onto the above configuration.  That is what would more easily provide a multi-tenant
experience with a Azure look and feel.  It is not Azure, but the Azure pack is a series of applications, some of which came from Azure, the provides Azure-like capabilities only in a service provider type of environment.
Whether you use my document or not (which has actually corrected errors found in the Microsoft documentation), you should take a look at it to see what it takes to put something like this up, if you are really serious about it.  It is not a small undertaking.
It requires a lot of moving pieces to be coordinated.  Yes, my document is designed to scale to a large environment, but you need the components that are there.  No need re-inventing the wheel.  Microsoft's documentation is based on a lot of
real hands on experience of their consulting organization that has been doing this for customers for years.  This one is also know as Fast Track 4.  I've done 2 (2008 R2) and 3 (2012), also and it just keeps getting more complicated based on customer
    demands and expectations.
    Good luck!
