More than 2 windows display issue

Hello,
I have an application that displays different windows...
In a specific situation, it seems that I cannot pile up more than 2 windows.
Here are some details:
I have 3 windows (W1, W2, W3)
All the windows are window_style=document, and made of a content canvas.
W1 has a button to open W2
and W2 has a button to open W3.
I open the windows, so far, with go_block or go_item.
The problem that I experience is :
When W1 is open, and I push the button to open W2, all is fine.
When, in W2, I push button to open W3, here is the result :
W3 is opened
and W2 is hidden ....
Making the windows modal hasn't given anything good !
There must be a kind of bug in my code, but I have no clue, and also I tried to modified some characteristics of the windows and canvases ... but I'm stuck !!!
Do you have any advice?

hi,
check the "HIDE_ON_EXIT" property of W2. It should be set to NO. If its not, set it to NO.

Displaying more than one display attribute in a tree component problem

I have a parent table and child table, I want to display a parent table's display attribute and below that i want to display child tables two display attributes (while defining the rule for a tree compoment).
What i'm getting is :
I can able to display more than one "display attributes" for my parent table, but when i'm trying to implement that for my child table under my parent table. I am only geting the blank folder structure without names.
For example:
Parent table: Deparetment(id, name)
child table: Employee(id, firstName, lastName)
What i want is:
In a Tree:-
(Department name): software below that i want display both (firstName and LastName) stephen Fleming
for that employee.

Dragging more than one display object in flex3

As per my knowledge, we can drag and drop only one display object at a time.... What should i do if i want to drag more than one display object together as a group.
I am having a canvas and inside it i am having a box..... In that box I am having many Panels.... Now i can create a group of adjascent panels.... And i can drag that panel group to some other place in that box only....
So how to drag a group of display objects together.

You can use custom code for that. Flex doesn't use the Flash Player's dragging API. It monitors mouse activity instead. There is an example in Panel.as. You can extend it to move more than one panel.

Checkbox with more than one display column.

Hi.
I have a checkbox item which I reference in a process (stored procedure) in my page. I'd like to display more than one field for the item, in different columns.
The lov query allows only 2 fields, the display value and the return value.
For now I just concatenate the 2 display fields, but I would like to display them in 2 different columns.
Is this possible?
My other option would be to use a report and set the item type to a simple checkbox. Is it possible then to reference the values of the report checkbox in my process ?

Vista/Win7 - Using Aero for more than window decoration?

I was wondering if it's possible to use the 'glass' effect in java as found under Windows Vista and 7.
For example, windows explorer uses the glass effect for more than just the window decoration, there is also a bit below the titlebar containing the addressfield/navigation buttons/searchbar.
Is it possible to create something similar looking in Java? I realise this will kill off multi-platform support, but that can be worked around in other ways.
So far I've discovered that the dwmapi is needed to access the feature, but I'm unable to find a java implementation of it and don't have the knowledge to write my own.
So are are any libraries out there for this purprose, or does anyone have a simple example?

so that's C++, VB and C# so far, still haven't found how to do it in java.Thats correct, if you want Vista aero effects only in your application, then you have to turn to platform specific languages like C#.
For java, you can make your own effects. So, what is your goal? using Vista Aero or making a good looking application?
For learning how to make good looking applications in java, one of the best books is ' [Filthy Rich Clients|http://filthyrichclients.org/] '. It discusses how you can make use of java libraries like Swing, Java2D, Java3D, animation libraries, etc. to develop nice applications. Check the examples given at the site (I like the StackLayout example). They made a 'Filthy Rich Client' also, called Aerith. (Check this)
I remember this book also discusses how you can achieve blurry translucent (Vista like) effect for Swing dialog. Its source is given on the same site, I also found its source here. So you can try it out, and check how java's aero looks like ;-)
Andrew gave you the link of the article about translucent Frames, I would like to mention that newly released JavaFX makes making translucent(transparent) frames more easier. Please check [this out.|http://javafx.com/samples/SwirlingSquares/index.html] And yes, JavaFX makes your application look really cool without much effort (I have not yet learned it, just saw the demos). You can also try out the demos of JavaFX here.
So, its up to you, Java can make your application look good, but without making use of Vista Aero.

Exporting more than 200 pics issue

Im having an issue exporting more than 200 pics in aperture. If I try to do any more than 200 pictures at one time the export pop-up menu does not appear

That is often a symptom of inadequate RAM. Try upgrading to 8 GB RAM if you have not done so. Beyond that we need lots of very specific hardware and workflow info to help you to troubleshoot your individual setup.

No. 200 is the maxmium setting. You can manually ask it to fetch more, 25 at a time.

Messages App Window Display Issue

Upgraded to Mavericks on mac desktop and Messages doesn't display multiple chats in same window with sidebar. I have to click on the user name to view chat, it replaces the chat that was previously in the window.

I Shut Down my computer each night.
Last night I left two Finder windows open.
In addition the Login Item for my account mounts and opens two more windows for Drives on another computer. (there now being 4 windows open at the end of Start up today)
One of these was for the folder ~/Library/Messages.
This was behind the two fro the Drives.
I went to select the windows to close them but was not very accurate and the Messages window that was behind the two for the Drives did relocate itself to where I had drag across the Screen.
I was aware that I did not make a good distinction between a Left or Right Click although no Contextual Menu showed up.
I was aiming for the red button on the top window, missed and sort of slide off to one side, which seemed to think I was doing a Click and Drag.
I have tried to repeat this with no luck.
Whilst I might have a quirky type similar issue in the Finder I have no hint of the issue in Messages.
It might be interesting if similar apps have the same issues.
FaceTime uses the IMAgent and the SOAgent helper apps along with Messages.
The Game Center and the above apps can all have login issues which suggests links with each other. However this tends not to be an multiple window app.
A Browser could work as a Multiple window app.
Many graphic apps work with Multiple windows.
There are areas that people could try out in these respects.

Sccm console on windows 8.1 - window display issue

I'm currently using a surface pro 2 with win 8.1 enterprise (sccm is 2012 r2). Overall the surface is a great piece of hardware. One problem that I'm having is that the sccm console doesn't properly display wizard windows properly. They
are cut off, horizontily starting at the entire cancel button and to the right. Some times it is a vertical issue, and I can't get to tall the options on a screen. Please see the SS for an example of both horizontal and vertical cut offs.
I had monkeyed with several setting on my profile, so I signed in with a different account that had no user profile on the machine....same issue.
It's frustrating that some things I need to do on a very regular basis I now have to rdp into the server in order to do. Has anyone else seen this and does anyone have any ideas for a solution?

If I remember correctly that is a problem related to changing the Text Size to one of the below options.
Medium - 125%. This sets text and other items to 125% of normal size.
Larger - 150%. This sets text and other items to 150% of normal size. This option appears only if your monitor supports a resolution of at
least 1200 x 900 pixels.
If you change this does it work then?

Popup window display issue ???

I want to have a button the with launch a poup window. I
know how to do this put what I do not know how to do is have no
site display info in the new pop up window. I have done a normal
pop up window but it has the address bar in it and on the top of
the page is the site name and other text. What I am after here is
no address bar and no information displayed on the top of the
webpage. Reason is the are leaving my website and going to another
website, I do not want them to know they have, how do I achive
this??

Really wavy footage when there's lateral movement? (looks like more than an interlacing issue)

So in the pic below, you can see when ever there is lateral movement (like the gentleman is doing moving from L to R, He gets really wavy... I'm not sure why that is... does anyone know (The footage is NTSC 29.97fps, 720x540

NTSC is usually 720x480, is 540 a typo? Please let us know the video source (DV tape?) and the Sequence Setting used in Premiere.
Right-click in the Program Monitor window and set fields to NONE and see how it looks, computers aren't that good at displaying interlaced video on their progressive displays and will give you a false impression. That said, it is possible your field order is reversed.
You can right-click a clip in the Bin and see what the Properties say, and there is the also the option of Modify > Interpret, which will allow you to change the field order if indeed there is a mismatch
But again, let us know as much as possible about the workflow that got you to this point

Since performing the latest update I can no longer use more than three displays.

Does anyone know of a fix for the problem where you can only run 3 monitors? I was running 4 displays before the update but now only three can run. Apple support recognizes the problem but does not have a answer. Anybody else haveing this problem?

Pressing enter query function key more than once displays past search key

At present, in Oracle Forms this is what's happening:
1. User presses entery-query (F7)
2. User searches for employee name smith. Plases %Smith% in the employee name field.
3. User presses execute-query (F8)
4. All employee names with "Smith" is displayed.
5. User presses enter-query again (F7). Screen is cleared.
6. User presses enter-query for the 2nd time (F7). %Smith% appears on the employee name field.
The problem is the user do not want %Smith% to appear the second time they press enter-query. If you guys have any idea or have experienced this, please let me know.

You are experiencing the default query last criteria functionality. When you execute the ENTER_QUERY built-in while in enter query mode, it will show the last query criteria. To override this, you could create a KEY-ENTQRY trigger on your block and give it code similar to:

ENTER_QUERY;
END IF;

Here is a way to solve your problem.
try to use
Runtime.getRuntime().load(absolute_library_path);
However, make a copy of the library you tried to load and name it uniquely such
as
append the current miliseconds.
After completed loading the library into the Runtime, new File(new_library_path).delete();
or you can try to use deleteOnExit() (createdTempFile instead).
