MouseWheel support went away. What do I use now?

I just updated to b42. I see now that MouseEvent doesn't have getMouseWheelRotation() anymore, and Scene doesn't have setOnMouseRotated(x) anymore. I was using the mouse wheel to implement a zoom feature in my UI. How can I get mouse wheel events now?

Sorry, my previous answer was complete nonsense, so I deleted it to not confuse anybody. I mixed it up with Swing.
MouseWheel-Support seems to be deprecated now but you can still use
something like this. (This time I have verified that it actually works with build 42 :-) )

Apple have not 'Done away with iWeb' as you put it. They are no longer supporting it and no longer upgrading it, but this DOES NOT mean that you can't still use it to create websites with.
Apple stopped supporting it sometime ago now, but it is an application like any other that you have and if you have it on your Mac, then you can still use it - it works with both Lion and Mountain Lion and if you want it you can still get it, but you'll have to purchase it from Amazon as part of either the iLife 11 or iLife 09 boxed set.
If you really want to use other software, which you don't need to take a look at RapidWeaver, Sandvox, Freeway Express and Pro 6, Flux 4 and Quick n' Easy Website Builder. Most, if not all of these have free month long trials where you can download and try before you buy.
As well as these, you have other options such as the online web site builders such as http://www.wix.com or http://www.weebly.com, or the CMS's (Content Management Systems) that you can install directly on your host/server and include http://drupal.org and http://joomla.org amongst others.
Rage software are also producing their own version of iWeb called EasyWeb - however, all first reports would seem to suggest that you won't be able to purchase this software on its own when it is released - it will initially be tied to Rage web hosting, so you would need to purchase this first to be able to use EasyWeb.
However, if you still have iWeb then use it for as long as it works and don't look elsewhere. Just because iWeb is no longer sold or supported by Apple does not mean that you can't still use it - you most certainly can.

I upgraded my iPhone 4 last evening to iOS 6, the upgrade completed and the device was usable. Then in the morning I went to the device to check E-mail, Voice Messages, Test Messages, etc... and the phone was dead. I tried plugging the device into a charger (for a couple of hours) - still dead. Plugged into computer with iTunes, device not recognized or discovered, and iPhone was still dead... Took the iPhone into an Apple Store and the Technician looked it over for any visible signs of defect/malfunction, then performed various tasks to breathe life into the phone - nothing... His suggestion, at this point, was to replace the phone. He speculated that the iOS upgrade possibly corrupted the iPhone's charging firmware, and that this device was now a BRICK. Keep in mind that the phone and it's charging abilities were perfectly fine prior to the iOS Upgrade. I hate to go through the replacement hassle and the cost ($159.00) when the iOS upgrade caused the problem. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Are you saying that Mail faIled to upgrade and you lost your old mail?

I purchased an iMac MC309LL/A model A1311 21.5" All in one computer. I purchased it 8/28/11 and about 2 months ago it started powering down. I called for support and a Apple Customer Support, I did what they said and now it wont turn on at all.

I called Apple customer support and a rep walked me through deleting all of my cache files saying it was the prooblem. She then had me do a re-install with the installation disc. After doing that she said to turn my computer off then back on and the computer would want to run some updates an to let them run. I was told to call back if there were anymore problems. The computer turned on for a couple minutes then shut down again and won't turn back on at all now. I took it to the Apple store and they told me it was the main board that delivers power to the computer and it whoulld cost about $550 to replace. I have had this computer for 1 1/6 year and hardly use it. My tech told me the same thing happened to his. Doesn't this mean the equipment could be faulty?
Who keeps track of how many of these are having the same problem and when should there be a recall. I have always used Dells at work. The one I have is 6 years old and works great. I have Compaq laptop at home that is almost 7 years old. I have never had a problem like this before and I can't believe that I spent$1300 for a computer that crashed after 1 yr 6 months. What's worse is that it is my first major Apple product other than my iPod Shuffle.

Sorry to hear of your problem, but any hardware in a computer can fail - that includes the hard drive, the logic board, etc, etc. Fortunately, it usually doesn't happen that soon; however, I've read of hard drives failing within 6 months.
So, since you did not purchase the extended Applecare Protection Plan (3 years coverage), you will need to make a decision to repair or sell it as is. I would always purchase 3 year coverage for an all in one or a laptop because repairs are expensive and at least I'd be covered for 3 years.
We can't speculate on whether there should be a recall or not; these forums are for user to user assistance with technical problems. In your case, there is nothing we can help with since you've already gotten a diagnosis.

According to the Adobe website, CS6 was the last version to support OS X 10.6.8.
The website says both CC and CC 2014 require OS X 10.7 or later.

I had SiteCatalyst Netaverages as a free subscription ending a few days ago. I didn't realize it was cancelled for everyone though. I liked it a lot.
There's a monthly, or maybe quarterly survey that Adobe produces about browser share directly (I think), and of course Google and Microsoft track it, though nothing is as good as SiteCataliyst, as far as being impartial (and free). I will miss it.

IWeb stopped its evolution, what software to use now?

Besides iWeb 11 I am wondering what software out there would do best to "take over" in terms of ease to use and nice result. I know iWeb 11 can still be used and build great websites but it will inevitably loose track with what is going on as development stopped since a while now, won't it? As far as I understand it (and correct me if I am wrong) iWeb generated files are not usable by any other website building software. Switching to another software means rebuilding all the site from scratch, wow that's a time killer! Anyway, before moving on I am looking to read from your experiences, your opinions and views about alternative webdesigning sofwares. I'm not much of a webdesigner but here is what I could put together with iWeb 08

iWeb and iDVD have been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. HOWEVER, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
Currently if the site is published directly from iWeb to the 3rd party server the RSS feed and slideshow subscription features will work. However, if the site is first published to a folder on the hard drive and then uploaded to the sever with a 3rd party FTP client those two features will be broken.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. NOTE: the iLife 11 boxed version Is no longer available at the online Apple Store. To get a copy you'll have to try Amazon.com or eBay.com.

Shot 1920x1080 30 with t2i. What setting to use now?

I just edited a project which was shot with a t2i at 30 (progressive I assume, just "30" no "i" or "p"). As I've always done, I dragged one of the native .mov files to the new sequence icon and began editing with the settings it made automatically. Upon export I'm being told it's 30i but when using interlaced export options it's, well, interlaced and noticably so when the camera pans. I recal reading that technically this footage is interlaced (60i) or something along those lines but I never paid much attention to it). Should I not be using Adobe's create "new item" for this footage as it is interpreting it incorrectly? Should I instead use one of the built-in presets? Or is it interpreting correctly and I'm just doing something incorrectly when I export?

What exactly do you want to do, if you simply want to burn some data onto a disc then right click the files and click Burn. However if you want something more robust you can buy something like Roxio Toast.

If the update did not preserve all your Applications you may simply have to download iTunes again and instrall it on Windows 8.
There's nothing strange about an update not preserving installed Applications.
