Move / Set Xfce Panel Row Height to 0

I'm using XFCE with whisker menu and I'd like to hide the panel completely. (I access whisker menu using LSuper.) The smallest I can make the panel however is 16 pixels, which leaves a gap when I open whisker-menu. I'd like to set the row height to 0, or move the panel up 16 pixels.
I've tried using Settings Editor, but it doesn't seem like any of the changes I make stick. When I set size to 0 or 1, the panel's size sets itself to 48. The position changes I've made have done nothing.
Any suggestions?

What I'm trying to do is have the whisker-menu-popup appear at 0, 0.
Like this:
#!/bin/bash
eval $(xdotool getmouselocation --shell)
xdotool mousemove 0 0
xfce4-popup-whiskermenu -p
xdotool mousemove $X $Y
This however doesn't work because I'd have to put a sleep between the whiskermenu popup and the xdotool mousemove $X $Y, making the cursor flicker fairly noticeable and inconvenient. Not to mention, if I move the cursor between moving to 0 and whiskermenu, it will popup in the incorrect place.
Is there a reason the panel size slider limits to 16?

  • How to set an Excel row height to 0

    Using the Office Web API how would one set an Excel row height to 0 or other number?
      I would think this is possible since I am able to narrow the row height using a mouse in the same way one does on the Excel client.

    Hi JimBassett,
    What do you mean by "Office Web API"? I assume you mean the "JaveScript API for Office". If so, I'm afarid the current Office Javascript API did not provide the method to set the height of a cell.
    If this is a feature you want to include in future versions of Office Javascript API, please sbumit a feedback to Office Development Platform Uservoice.

  • Report Generation Toolkit Table Row Height-MS Word

    I am having trouble setting the table row height in the report generation toolkit. I can set the column width fine, but the row height seems to remain the same no matter what I set it to. I have attached the VI that generates and formats the table, and the printout it is resulting in. I have also attached the template file I am using.
    Any tips to get this to work right? I am trying to make the cells exactly the same height as the text inside.

    Hi,
    So I tried .2  and it didn't work.  So I went to Word to manually change it, and it did not work either.  There is a selection box in word, for the table properties, that seems to default to the value "at least".  When I changed this manually to "exactly" in word, no problem with the .2 manually in Word.
    Hopefully this can be set within the template, for all new inserted tables.  I'm not sure the report generator VI's expose this property.  Well, this is a start for the issue.
    Edit ****
    You can go into the add table VI and expose the property.  See pic.   However, you have to decide if you want to "upgrade" this VI permanently to expose this property or make a copy with the property exposed.   I haven't messed with the new class reports too much, so not sure of the ins and outs with this.
    I think this is the issue with the row size becoming smaller.

  • Row height in tables

    Hello,
    I want to set the height of tables rows but I couldn't find the function or the right way to do it.
    The table is in Column mode.
    The row size mode is set to Use Explicit Size
    First I remove all rows and columns and then the following code:
    InsertTableColumns (SA_ScatPosPanel, P_MULT_ROT_Z_TABLE, 1, NbX_Points, VAL_USE_MASTER_CELL_TYPE);
    ColWidth = PlotAreaWidth / NbX_Points;
    SetTableColumnAttribute (SA_ScatPosPanel, P_MULT_ROT_Z_TABLE, -1, ATTR_COLUMN_WIDTH, ColWidth);
    InsertTableRows (SA_ScatPosPanel, P_MULT_ROT_Z_TABLE, 1, NbY_Points, VAL_USE_MASTER_CELL_TYPE);
    What should I add for setting also the row heights?
    Thank you
    Solved!

    I finally found the solution.
    I did a mistake, by setting Size Mode to Use Explicit Size in the first row in the uir I thought it was the default value for all rows.
    I think the documentation is not completely correct because it says that SetTableRowAttribute has no effect on existing cells but for the row height it has. That's the reason why I was looking to find a solution with SetTableCellRangeAttribute () as recommended.
    I also tried with SetTableRowAttribute but because Size Mode was not correct it didn't work.
    With this code it works:
    for (i=1; i<=NbY_Points; i++)
    InsertTableRows (SA_ScatPosPanel, P_MULT_ROT_Z_TABLE, i, 1, VAL_USE_MASTER_CELL_TYPE);
    SetTableRowAttribute (SA_ScatPosPanel, P_MULT_ROT_Z_TABLE, i, ATTR_SIZE_MODE, VAL_USE_EXPLICIT_SIZE);
    SetTableRowAttribute (SA_ScatPosPanel, P_MULT_ROT_Z_TABLE, i, ATTR_ROW_HEIGHT, RowHeight);

  • How to set the row height for a list control in flex 4.5 for mobile?

    Hi,
      I have a List in my Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 and flex 4.5 mobile application. I show the image and the label in my list. The list item height gets adjusted based on the image height. I don't want this auto row adjustment. Instead I would like to set the row height manually.
    Is there any property to set the item height in a list?

    setting rowHeight in the List layout works for me.
    <s:List>
    <s:layout>
    <s:VerticalLayout rowHeight="48"/>
    </s:layout>
    </s:List>

  • Setting a single tree node row height?

    Is there any way within my treecelleditor to set the row height of a single node, the one being edited, to a larger height, then when editing is done, set it back to normal? Or does the whole tree have to have every row height changed? I want to provide a 2 row editor when a user edits the node.

    Hello Ken,
    Use fire-bug and see what classes APEX is using to toggle tree nodes (to expand and collapse). Generally, the class "open" is used to Open/Expand and class "closed" is used to Collapse tree node.
    Now, if you can determine, which list id from which you need to expand the tree, depending on the page you are, then you can open all child nodes under it using following JS.
    /* Assuming P1_LIST_ID has the ID of List item from where you want to open all child nodes*/
    $("li#"+$("#P1_LIST_ID").val()).find("li").removeClass("closed").addClass("open");You can put the code under "execute when page load" section of your page.

  • Set row height and column witdh in Report Designer

    All,
    Is there any way to enter value of a row height or a column width by numbers, instead of dragging them, which I find stupid, especially if several rows should have same height (or several columns same width). I looked for something like Properties-Size/Width/Height but didn't find any. Did I miss anything?
    Cheers!
    /RB

    For those who come from other programming language specially web development, designer or Analyzer looks stupid, but it is very powerful tool. If you need to manage the width and height, then please explore the options in Table Interfaces, there you will be able to use your programming skills.
    thanks.

  • Dynamically adjust table row height based on data in column

    Hi all,
    I'm using JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0 and have a requirement for a table to adjust the height of its rows depending on the data in the columns. One of the columns in the table is a rich text description field and I have the 'rows' property set to 13. This field could have twenty lines of text/images or just one. The users would like the page to show all twenty lines of text without having to scroll but the table has the same height for all the rows (that I set to 13) and provides a scroll bar when the data exceeds this size. My users do not like to scroll, and want the height of each row to be determined by the data in it. I looked at a few options and also did a search online, but was unable to find anything to fulfill this requirement. Do you know of how I could change the height of each row in the table so that it fits the data that it holds?
    I have an example of my table at: <b>Table with Set Row Height</b>
    As you see, the picture has to be scrolled so that the whole picture is visible. The user requirement is to adjust the row height to show the full picture. Ideally the next two rows would shrink, but that would be a nice to have.
    Thanks in advance for any pointers or help.

    Hi Frank,
    Thank you for replying to my question, I truly appreciate your help.
    I tried to use the autoHeightRows to adjust the height of my rows but was unsuccessful. If I understand the autoHeightRows property correctly, this is used for setting the height of the whole table. If this is incorrect and it can be used for setting the height of individual rows in the table, please correct me. I have the 'Rows' property of the richTextEditor set to 13 and this is the height that I would like to make dynamic based on the data.
    My users requirement is for the height to be big enough for the data in each row of the table (the table has a description column and the height of each row should be determined by the data contained in it). I updated my <u><b>Screen Shot</b></u> to show the desired layout and what is currently being generated though ADF (http://www.flickr.com/photos/87583386@N05/) .
    I have three rows in the example (in actuality these are around 50) and the text in each row can vary. The users would like to see the full text/image in each row without having to scroll each row. Currently my table is within Panel Box, which is inside a PanelGroupLayout-Scroll which is in a PanelStretchLayout. I tried to put the table by itself with the autoHeightRow modifications you suggested but thsi did not help either. I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.
    Is this possible with an ADF Table? If it is, is the autoHeight property the only one that I am setting incorrectly? If not, is there another component I can use to get the desired functionality? My users are very strict about this requirement and will not accept the application without this.
    Thanks,

  • [SOLVED] XFCE Panel Icons

    Does anyone know why my panel icons are black?
    Like such: http://i.imgur.com/rhaLd.png
    I haven't migrated from any other DE, this started happening after I enabled Compiz on startup(https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Co … icon.22.29).
    Any ideas on how to set them to white, or use the icon set from the Xubuntu panel?
    Thanks in advance.
    SOLVED: Elementary Xubuntu icon theme installed, needed to specify "Elementary Xubuntu Dark" vs "Elementary Xubuntu".

    You can't actually move stuff freely in XFCE panels; moving only changes the order of things.  You have to use separators (which can be invisible and have the option to expand) to get stuff in particular places.  I have eight invisible separators on my panel, and the 'Window Buttons' item expands to fill all free space, allowing me to place things on the 'end' of my panel.

  • Numeric Row Height Value Fixed but Different

    Hi Everyone,
    On my front panel, I have a 1D array (column) of Numerics next to a 1D array (column) of strings. I need them to line up. I believe that the row height for numerics is not changeable, but for strings you can change it.
    Here is my problem, on different PCs I have found that the numeric row heights have different fixed values. On my development PC (LabVIEW 2011, 32 bit), the row height is 22 pixels. On all other test PCs (also LabVIEW 2011, 32 bit) the row height is 20 pixels. I need the arrays to line up on all PCs, but it looks different.
    Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this issue?

    "Get Text rect.vi"will tell you how big the bounding rectangle is for text rendered using the font you choose while also concidering "Bold" etc.
    Using that function should give you a way of dtermining how large the text ends-up being and then you JUST* have to sett all of the proeprties to match.

  • Row height betweeen the elements H2 and P

    I would like to set the row height between the <h2>What this is</h2> <p>A simple page put together using HTML</p>.
    The space is too high for me and I need do make the height smaller. How to do it?
    Thank you.
    <body> <h1>My first web page</h1>  <h2>What this is</h2> <p>A simple page put together using HTML</p>  <h2>Why this is</h2> <p>To learn HTML</p> </body>

    Both P and H2 tags have inherit values for margins and padding and it's possible there is also values in your CSS.  Without seeing your code it's impossible to say whether that is at play or not.  All you can do is set the margin and padding from the CSS panel or set it in the code manually (see below links).

  • Report Generation: what determine row height?

    When using the standard report generation vis, and I append a table, what determines the height of the rows? You can set the column width, but even down into all the vis, I don't see any way to control this.

    I have a Zebra printer I am trying to print to and it seems like the row height is determined from just the text length. Even if the column width is plenty wide enough.  But if I send it to a regular Canon printer the table seems to print fine.

  • Report Row Height and Column Width

    Hi,
    I have a cell in a report (a description column) that causes the row height to become very large (when there is a lot of text in the description). I can make the column wider on the report attributes page, but there doesn't seem to be any place to influence the maximum height of a row on a report, short of modifying the template.
    Adding style attributes (e.g. max-height:30px) to an element only affects the <span> that the element resides in, not the table cell or row.
    Displaying the column as a text area is a useful workaround. The downside is the border and scroll bars do waste a lot of screen real estate. Does there exist some other way of setting a limit on the height and/or width of a report, report column or report row?
    Oh, and another question- how do make line breaks in this forum? There's no support for <BR> or [br].

    Please reply to this thread, my customer is facing the same issue. He does not have issue with the excel and the pdf output but in the rtf output the table heght increases to accomadate the data.He want it to bevave in the same way as the pdf do.
