I use QT in Authorware fairly frequently. I don't find it
particularly
buggy, though some of the sprite functions don't seem to
be...well
implemented. I agree it can be a pain to use, especially with
not
everyone having QT already installed and Apple's licensing...
However, if indeed Tom's not getting the responsiveness he
needs, then I
echo the suggestion of an MP3 in Flash. Or, didn't Apurva
make an MP3
player for Authorware? Or maybe it was a published Authorware
product
that acted as an MP3 player...

Since previous post i've downloaded the YouP PAX-X suite and tried using the .262 drivers but they caused a BSOD on Vista boot-up. Now using the .272 and still no luck

Beta 2 or RC1 candidate???? RC1 should support..........
Beta 2 is real, slow and you have alot of updates to DL, but both are pre-release products and will not work 100%.
Even when Vista is released, they will still be alot of hardware that will not work 100% and this is purely because software is always playing catch up to hardware.
It was only September, when Nvidia released some Beta2/RC1 drivers that worked properly........

Thank you for replying. I had no idea I had a response. It is a Windows 7 Home Premium. The game is actually now a few different ones for my child, Baby Luv, Brave & Disney Princesses. None of them will work. I have an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 graphics card in this (Compaq Presario All-In-One Desktop PC) and I just posted another question in the forum about wanting to know if I can replace the grahics card with a HD card and if so how? I have looked online but can't find an answer. Is it possible to replace the card or with it being an all-in-one is it not possible? Thank you.

Like you already mentioned: you are using some beta-drivers which may cause some trouble.
Please verify that you installed the driversin the propper order: chipset drivers first (VIA-drivers that is, you can have a look at VIA's website to see if there are any VIA Drivers for Vista you can use. Install VGA drivers after that and the SB drivers last.
Just a tip: I recommend you have a look at your power supply unig. A 350W PSU with your hardware probably is not enough to run your system on. It even may cause your system to act strangely, like you just described.

Apple AppStore? I think everyone has the right to their own appstore but I thought only an Apple deivce (mac, iphone, ipad, etc)
Apple doesn't support or license use of Mac OS on other hardware, which they call "hackintoshes."

How helpful of Microsoft to now start using acronyms to name its products. Take VISTA for instance, its new operaing system....it is now much later than originally planned in being delivered, it has less features than users were expecting, but at least it lives up to it's name.

K9NGM Vista x64 PS2 keyboard & mouse Sleep Problem.

Hi, I've installed Vista Home Basic on a K9NGM motherboard, when it resumed from sleep mode the sleep went crazy, so I enabled S3 in the bios, now when it resumes from sleep the screen is fine, but after a few seconds the mouse & keyboard stop responding.
I can press the no/off button on the tower & it closes normally. I'm only using the standard Windows drivers for both the keyboard & mouse.
Anyone know the answer?

I've altered most of the power settings now so it's more difficult to put it into sleep mode, but I don't think I can turn it off altogether. It's a shame because the sleep mode is very cool.

Photoshop CS2 Upgrade Installation Problems w/ Vista Problems

I recently purchased a new laptop w/ Windows Vista which I'm trying to install my copy of Photoshop CS2 onto. My Photoshop license is an upgrade license ... originally upgraded from Photoshop v4.0.
When installing an upgrade copy of PS CS2, it requires proof of your previous version in order to verify you're a legitimate upgrader. This works fine if you're upgrading from a version of Photoshop after 5.x ...you simply insert your CD and the installation continues. The installation process is less straight-forward for users like myself ... installing from an upgraded version prior to 5. I'm required to call Adobe ... and conduct a phone verification procedure where I give them a code displayed on the screen during installation and they give me a response code to type into the installation form.
I deauthorized my old laptop ... start the installation routine on my new laptop ... call Adobe w/ my verification code ... enter the response code (which is accepted) and complete the installation without any problems. My problem occurs when I go to run the software. The startup screen indicates that the software is still in "Tryout Mode", and the first window I'm presented with is the "Adobe Activation" window requesting my serial number. If I try to enter my CS2 serial number it is rejected with the message:
"You must enter a valid serial number before activating online or viewing activation options. Please check your serial number and re-enter it, or click the Purchase button to buy a copy of this product"
The thing is ... this IS a valid serial number. I've confirmed this with Adobe. (It's probably an upgrade serial number, which is why the software is rejecting it). I called Adobe and they're now telling me that I must enter a paid-support agreement in order to receive help installing my software. They claim their software is working correctly, and it must be a problem with my computer.
Has anybody experienced a problem like this? I refuse to pay more for something that worked fine on XP just to use it on Vista due to bugs in their installation and activation routine.

I know this is an old problem, but surely there is an answer to fix the problem by now...
What problems? I used Photoshop CS2 with Vista with no problems (I still have it installed on a Vista system if you'd like me to check anything in particular). CS3 and CS4 worked well as well. Haven't tried CS5 on Vista as I have moved up to Windows 7, but I suspect it works just fine.

Hi, I also have the same problem with the HDMI connection. When the system boots up it works okay, If I leave the system playing a music album or video the sound just stops working after about 10-15 minutes. When I try and reboot the system the screen does not work. You can see the Vista boot screen,but get no desktop or sound. I have to leave the system switched off for about 20minutes and then boot it up and it works again. Also I have a 1080i Sony LCD and when I try to run the desktop at this resolution it justs goes blank. I can only run the desktop resolution at 720i. This is my second system as the first one had the same problems. Does anyone at MSI monitor these forums?....Thanks..

Web cam vista problem

hello all
i'd just bought that webcam vista few days ago and i set it up but every time i try to use it i find that it's display picture is like negative picture? i downloaded the latest driver version from creative site and i change o s as a whole and setup a new windows xp sp2 copy in my pc but still can't solve my problme, if any body here can help or got any idea to overcome that problem i'll be very thankfull.

Zen Vision :m vista problem

Hi everyone, I?m having a problem with my Zen. I?ve searched the forums and could not find anything that could help me. So maybe one of you knows what to do.
So here's the rub: My player works fine with my old laptop, it runs XP. I just purchased a new( and considerably more badass) laptop that runs Vista home basic. When I plug the mp3 player into the vista machine it( the mp3 player) freezes immediately and has to be reset. It does not freeze when plugged into my XP machine. Will reformatting the mp3 player fix this? The only reason I haven?t done this yet is cause Im trying avoid erasing the thing. If not that then what?
So?.help me please and thank you.

Unknown Device ipod Classic and Windows Vista problem??

Help!! My ipod Classic is not being recognized by my computer. I have read the previous articles and tried the solutions but I continue to get the result "Windows has determined that the driver software is up to date" I continue to get the error noise when I plug the USB in and the Device manager continues to say "Unknown Device" It seems others are having this problem, how do I fix this?

I am having the same trouble with mine, and I can say that it isn't iTunes, I plugged my brothers iPod Nano in and it worked like a charm, but when I plugged my iPod Classic 160g in all it says is it is an "unknown divice". It isn't Vista either as the same thing happens on XP Pro as well, so all I can think of is it is a error on the Classic itself. I just wish someone can help out so that I can use my ipod!!!! Come on Apple!!!! Solve this problem!!!!
