Imovie - software for old Notebook running OSX 10.6

Hi,
I have an old notebook with a 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with the following video card:
Intel GMA 950:
Chipset Model:    GMA 950
Type:    GPU
Bus:    Built-In
VRAM (Total):    64 MB of Shared System Memory
Vendor:    Intel (0x8086)
Device ID:    0x27a2
Revision ID:    0x0003
When I updated to OSX 10.6 i lost imovie. I went to download it from the apple store but it said the video card could not support it.
What can I do to get either an old version of imovie that will work on my machine, or can anyone recommend an alternative program that's as good?

Did it come with Your Mac (Start DVDs) ? It should be there.
I would try to find this Start DVD and re-install it - then go to up-date.
What version did You have ?

Mountain Lion has created new user log-ins and moved old Users to a separate folder

Mountain Lion has created new user log-ins and moved old Users to a separate folder.
The new users are set-up as "standard" and the old ones were "Administrators"
All files are missing, i.e. no desktop files etc. But they are located in a folder called "Users 1" which is a new folder.
Can anyone help?

follow the "Ratatapa's" instructions.
1/ boot on Recovery part (command R)
2/ find "terminal" in disk utilities
and write "resetpassword" for root. Enter a new password for the root user.
3/ reboot as root user (or when your are login, log out and typing to open a other user "root")
in the "system pref" panel, open "users and groups" and then create new user with the same name, same password.. normally it must be asking you about "You are already an account with the same name" say yes. And it's done.
4/ Log out. re-log as the normal user. desactivated the root user.

Where to get Old Oracle Drivers (for Mac)?

Hi, I need to run an old Mac OS 9 application (actually I'm trying with Classic under OS X on a Mac Mini G4)
This application needs the OCI library OracleOci73Lib.
I've been searching it in Oracle web downloads section, but i can't find it.
I've tried installing the newer OCI drivers, but these are for Mac OS X and I suppose Classic doesn't even "see" them.
Does anyone know where could I get old Oracle drivers?

Why Nvidia Official notebook drivers cannot be used to update U460

i ran the latest nvidia notebook drivers only to find out that it cannot detect the discrete graphics.
had to resort to the one provided by lenovo on their website...
why cant we simply update based on latest drivers??

you can use official nvidia graphic drivers.
just make sure you install the correct drivers for your u460 and also make sure you have nvidia graphic adapter.

Day old notebook with 7 out of date drivers!?!?

I was setting up my Media Center live tv and got an error that said one of my drivers were out of date and to go to HP's website to update. So i got to the site and could not find the driver it gave me. So i downloaded Driver doctor or whatever its called and it said i had 7 out of date drivers. I just got the thing yesterday how is that possible. Im sorry i cant remember what driver it said i needed but it involded the HD audio.

Try to update drivers from Device Manager.

Where do I find the old version "acrobat 8" for dowloading? I had the original product key (moving acrobat from the old notebook)

Be sure to keep a copy of the download - not on your hard disk only, but burned to a CD in a safe place. It is lucky that Adobe still offer this download though the product is unsupported for years - you probably won't find it next time.
Note that it may not work with up-to-date Windows or Mac OS systems either..

Recovery for old notebook computer

I found my old HP computer in a box the other day and would like to get it up and running again. I got a virus on it and instead of fixing it, I just bought a new computer. How do I go about getting a recovery CD for my computer? It is a HP Pavilion dv6700.

Hard drive from old notebook in new notebook.

I have a dv-9830us notebook that recently bit it. 8600GS got flakey. I bought a DV7-7000 series notebook and wanted to switch out the old hard drive in the 9830us and put it in the DV7-7000. When I put the old hard drive in the new notebook I got a BSOD that flashed by too fast for me to read it. It wanted to repair win 7 installation which I permitted it to attempt but it was unsuccessful. I am figuring that this is a hardware incompatibility/driver related issue since the new notebook obviously has different hardware. Is there a way to get the existing windows installation on the old hard drive to redetect hardware on start up and install new drivers to permit it to boot on the new notebook? I really don't want to reinstall 4 years worth of stuff on the new machine. Both machines are running legit Win 7 Home edition.

Hi:
It cannot be done as you have already discovered, for the reason you surmised.
The hardware is way too different for Windows to even try booting up on your new notebook.
You're going to have to bite the bullet, and transfer your files onto the new PC.

HT1341 How do I uninstall old print drivers on Mac OS 10.6.8?

After installing the latest driver, the old one is still there.

In Library/Printers/Lexmark/Drivers there is a file called Lexmark Printer Utility which apparently is the print driver. I'm wondering if I should delete a folder entitled '2007' which is located at Library/Printers/Lexmark/2007. The 2007 folder also contains a Lexmark Printer Utility and also contains a file called 'LexmarkCUPSDriver'. Lately my printing problem has been this: I try to print and the printer does not respond even though the print job shows up in the print queue as printing. For a short time in the print queue window an error message appears which says: "LexmarkCUPSDriver failed to read raster data", after which both the error message the print job disappear from the queue.

MSI blutetooth BToes (old) - which drivers for Win XP SP3?

I'm using old Btoes bluetooth dongle and it's working fine on my old Win XP. Please help me which driver to download for the PC which runs on Win XP SP3?

I had lots of problem while installing it, so please help me if you were using the exact model. First of all, Windows tends to install its drivers and it works that way as well, but I can not make a serial connection to desired bluetooth device.
I've tried using Win XP SP2 drivers listed here: http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=131&prod_no=116.
However, it didn't work, I can not recall why. I had to reinstall the whole Windows after it. On the other computer it demanded presence of Btoes USB dongle in a USB port in order to boot Win. Like I said, lots of problems. It ended by installing the oldest drivers which came with the CD. Some of the options just don't work.
Finally, when I take a look at properties, it says "Cambrige Sillicon Radio" version (I don't know how to UL a pic).
I have a clean Win XP SP3 installation and don't want to ruin it -- which drivers to install and how? Thanks a lot!

Old AMD drivers - switching graphic mod

Hello,
I have got Probook 4530s, I have bought GTA V, tryed install and it is working!! 25-30 FPS with actualy graphic card 7470M.
But while I am playing about 10 minutes my drivers will crash -> AMD radeon drivers stoped work, restarted. I tryed download latest amd radeon graphic drivers (amd-catalyst-15.4beta-64bit-win7-apr9.exe), but have found HP doesnt support these drivers, HP must have own drivers with switching graphics in the Windows!
So then I tryed disable "switch graphic" in bios(7.7, last update 2015), but it will set intel graphic which I dont want!
is here any way to switch graphic to the AMD while "switch graphic" is dissable?

Can HP release new graphic drivers or bios setting where you can set up graphic which will be use without "switch graphic"?

Can you tell me why I bought hp notebook?
I have to say, this notebook is awesome, it ran everything, CRYSIS 2, FARCRY 3, GTA IV, BORDERLANDS 2, BORDERLANDS PRE SQUEAL (I had to set up fixed switch graphic in catalys control panel, powerfull graphic AMD, dont know, but auto switcher didnt ever work)
and now GTA V, 25-30FPS, without any problems, sometimes little lag, but it all and about 10 minutes... booom drivers stoped work... Please HP I bealive you are good, I recommend to add choose graphic with "switch graphic = dissable" into bios,
I mean:
if (switch graphic == dissable)
user can choose between intel and AMD
because While I installed latest amd drivers it was working, but still ran at intel graphic.

Ok, now I can see the pictures not sure why I couldn't the first time they do look high but that is what happens when you play a HI demanding game the graphics chipset will heat up. But I think this has something to do with the fact that the video chipset most likely can't handle HD games. But works find for everyday usage and since GTA is a HD game that would require something like a Gaming Laptop that cost upwards and beyond 2000US for HD gaming and to handle the high temperature produced in HD gaming.
I am a Volunteer to help others on here-not a HP employee.
