Otherwise, Is any way to  delete the new company code ?
Or is it only way to rollback the changes mannually ?

  • Can you recommend a system for me?

Hello!  I am looking into purchasing a new computer system to support my work projects and am not sure what to purchase.  I mostly work with mass communication, photos, other graphics, print design as well as routine word processing.  I use Illustrator and InDesign, but find it takes an eternity for large files to load.  Even viewing photos has become challenging.  My boss told me to buy a new system and told me to get whatever I needed.  The problem is... I have no idea what that is!
My company utilizes a third-party IT vendor, which also helps us order and manage quipment.  They made the following recommendations:
    Windows 7 Professional
    64 bit
    8 gigs of RAM (minimum)
Seperate graphics card with 1 additional gig of memory dedicated to graphics
Is this a good recommendation?  What would you change or add?  I don't think I am in a position to have something that is ultra customized, so I am looking for something mostly out of the box which will fit my needs.  I'll also mention that while Mac is often desirable, I am hoping to avoid that because I would be the only person on my entire team using an Apple system and I worry about integration challenges.
I welcome your thoughts and recommendations.  Thanks so much!

Are you getting a desktop or notebook computer?
In terms of RAM, 8GB is the bare minimum but will at least work. I would recommend 16GB of RAM or more for a notebook computer (if possible, some models won't support that much). If you're getting a new desktop machine I'd definitely get as much RAM as possible. 24GB to 32GB would be good.
Definitely get a dedicated video card for either a notebook or desktop machine. "Integrated" graphics (a graphics chip on the motherboard that sucks on system RAM) is terrible for any creative or multimedia demands. Try to get a graphics card that supports Adobe's GPU acceleration. It makes a noticeable difference in how well Illustrator performs.
Make sure you get a fast internal hard disc drive. That makes a pretty big difference in opening and saving files as well as your boot up time. A solid state drive would be fastest, but most expensive (and you take a hit on storage capacity). Try to get a 2nd physical hard disc installed for scratch disc use (this is pretty easy to do with desktop machines). Use external USB 3.0 hard discs to back up your data.
Regarding the Mac or PC thing, that really should depend on the other applications you have to use and files you share with others. I'm on a Windows-based system due to sign industry specific software not available for the Mac platform. I also need to be able to run CorelDRAW and there's no Mac native version of it.
The Windows platform is definitely the most targeted by cyber criminals, but it's not difficult to protect yourself using a PC. A lot of people get their PCs infected by making pretty simple and obvious mistakes. Many PC users don't want to admit they got their computers infected by doing things they probably shouldn't have been doing, like seeking out pirated movies, music, porn and software. Windows users do need to make an effort to keep their machines updated with the latest security patches and have anti-virus software installed. Many don't bother with any of that out of laziness and then act like they have no responsibility when their machine gets infected. Quite a few computer users don't even have the basic knowledge to even know how to install patches, much less even find their way around in the computer's file system to keep their data organized. By the way, buying a Mac won't solve any of those knowledge problems. If cyber criminals start really concentrating on the Mac platform it's going to open a whole new can of worms concerning unprotected machines.
Tracking software is a very insidious thing. Even if the web browser and other software in your machine isn't doing it directly there's a chance other parties are looking at the packets of data your computer is exchanging with other servers. I recently watched the documentary "Citizen Four" on HBO. The things that various governments (including our own here in the US) are doing to violate privacy is pretty horrifying.

  • Trying to set up AV server on mini late 2012.  Will upgrade to Yosemite tomorrow.  Home Internewt is ATT Sierra mobile hotspot only.  So I think I need a wifi router that will tether the hotspot as sole internet source.  Recommendation for system set

My system: Mac Mini late 2012 w/ 1 TB disk and *GB memory (for AV server), iPad air 2 w/ 64 GB, iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 6, iPhone 4, Macbook running Yosemite, older Macboo w/ 2GB memory & 160 GB hard drive, 1 TB back up drive, WiFi Printer
Internet:  Wireless hotspot ATT 4G LTE limited to 5 GB/mo (no cable or DSL available. Router to be determined
AV equip:  Vizio smart TV (WiFi capable & network cable), high end analog audio, DAC, Samsung TV/display w/ HDMI.
Looking for a router recommendation that will utilize my ATT device and stream music (and of course less demanding DATA)
What is/are recommended connection(s) between devices?  Hardwire Mini to main TV w/ HDMI, network or USB?  Help?

Another way to set things up, use an Apple Airport Extreme Basestation.
My system setup has a cable modem directly connected to the AEBS.
The AEBS is then setup to do all of the network management,  I use
both hardwired and WiFi access via the AEBS.  It also has a USB port
that you can use for attaching HDDs for common data access and even
    Time Machine backups.
    FWIW, here's my system:
2011 MiniServer used as HTPC - hardwired ethernet to AEBS
2010 Mini used as server - hardwired ethernet to AEBS
(these are hardwired simply because of proximity to AEBS but could be WIFi connected)
Late 2013 27" iMac workstation- hardwired or WIFi depending on needs
Early 2011 Macbook Pro - WiFi connected
iPhone 5S - WiFi connected as needed
The 2010 Mini Server I use as my "iTunes hub" set up with Home Sharing and
by running Server on it, have Apple download caching of both Mac and iOS
apps, Time Machine backups and general backups for various content from
    the different computers.

  • Lock object moved to qa system standard fm(enque, deque) didnt move.

    Hi,
I created one lock object named as ez_lockworkid in developement system and i stored that in YMM package . Two standard function modules(enque, deque) was created successfully . It was in $enq package . I moved the lock object to quality .
The problem is only lock object is moved but the two standard function modules didnt move to the lockobject.  How can i solve the issue.

    Hello Karthick,
The ENQUEUE* & DEQUEUE* FMs are not transported via the transport request(TR). I you wont get reference of these FMs in the object list of your TR either.
When your TR is imported in your QAS the objects included in the TR will get activated. During the activation of your lock object, these FMs are "automatically" generated by SAP & saved in the the package $ENQ!
Check the TR log & verify if the Lock object has been activated correctly in the QAS.
Read the documentation of "[Lock Objects|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/cf/21eebf446011d189700000e8322d00/content.htm]" for further details.

  • Package assigning issue to object which is moved from other system

    Hi Experts,
We have moved one develoment (workflow development) from one server to another server with basis people help and
can see everything perfecly in my system . But , i need to save them under my own requyest ,then only i can move them to produciton. I am doing in a way by reassigning under my package but it is saving under request only with different
naming as not same of source system .
    For ex:
For my stem: Saving like below :
    Object Directory Entry
        R3TRPDTS91000189
        R3TRPDTS91000191
    But for source system :
    91000188
will all of them move without any issues or am i doing in wrong way ?
    Tahnk you in advance.

    Hi,
If i understand your question right then you want to ask why transport name is different between different system.
Answer is when you create transport request in any system then it is created like <SID><transport number>. So, if you are creating it in different system then it will give you different name as SID and transport sequence number will differ.
If you want to save it in your own request then make a copy of transport in development system from your user id and then move it to test and production.
    Thanks
    Sunny

  • Creating recommendations by system in Multi providers

    hi all,
While we are creating dimensions on mp? we have the options of creating recommendations by ourself nor to carry out by the system itself.
When shall we go for creating recommendations by ourselves and when shall we go for creating recommendations by the system.
Can anyone give examples when shd we go for system and when shd we opt for ourself.
    regds

    hi,
Mostly for MP "recommendations by ourselves" is suggested.
For Sap Defined we can go for System proposed.

  • Recommendations for system maintenance

I read lots of posts recommending various maintenance tasks to run routinely, but am confused about what should be run to keep the system running as smooth as poss, and what is unnecessary. I have Onyx, and use it to run some tasks, where I've seen recommendations as to their usefulness, but would like to be clearer about what is best.
Can someone please tell me which maintenance is recommended and how often, and which is a waste of time and to leave alone?
    Thanks,
    Nige

There is nothing recommended, by Apple.
The OS has cleanup routines built-in, that run periodically, +daily, weekly, monthly+.
Besides backing up my computers with Time Machine, I don't do anything at all and have no problems.
If something odd crops up that seems like a permission issue, I will repair permissions with Disk Utility. I haven't seen this very often under Leopard, though.
If it seems there are random behaviors across multiple apps, I will check the disk with Disk Utility. I have never had any disk problems that required something more robust.
In my opinion, knowing how to troubleshoot is better use of your time. Applejack is a utility that somewhat automates the tasks needed. They also have a link to this MacFixIt article on troubleshooting with Applejack. I have used Applejack once, so I can't recommend it, but have seen it recommended in various threads.
The X-Lab has this nice summary on troubleshooting vs. maintenance, Maintaining Mac OS X
Some people will swear by various techniques, but I prefer to use my computer rather than maintain my computer.

  • BRM: Can roles be moved to multiple systems???

    Hi,
While creating roles in BRM, it picks up the default system maintained in "Action Mapping" in SPRO. I was wondering if the same role can be moved (created/modified) in multiple systems at the same time.
    Please advise.
    Regards,
    Faisal

Hi Faisal, thanks for your reply.
In my BRM methodology, role generation is before testing because I need the role to be generated in QA to assign it to the user.
The thing is that when I generate the role, I can select every connector in the same connector group. So, if parameter 3012 is enabled, I could regenerate an existing role that is assigned to users in PRD without testing new changes.
If I remove Action 3 then I won't be able to generate the role and will have to create a transport request.
    Regards,
    Fernando

  • Urget please moving to testing system

    Dear All,
I am new to BW. I have bulit a report(Development system). What is the process after that? It needs to be in portal. How that report will be transported to Test System. which one is first task? Portal or test system. Do i need to ask basis guy to do these? Please explain me in detail as i have no experience.
also, we have  2 systems bw test1, bw test2. I think after bw tes1 it has to go to  bw test2 system. why is that?
the only information  i know is if i have transport request, it needs to be released and approved. Once it's done, what is the next step? Please help me as a matter of urgency. I am stucked here.
If i don't have any transport request for report, what should i do?
    Eagerly waiting for reply..
    Riya

You have the report in development, then you need to create a transport for the report, once you collected the report into a transport (Go go RSA1, transport Connection to collect transport or do some reading on this), you need to release transport to the next system in the landscape, as you said the next system in the landscape is test1 and later to test test2. Two test system is just to make sure the report is tested well before moving to production
To have the report on the portal, you don't need to do anything more than attaching the report to the proper role, once you attach it, it will be available on portal.
To move the transport to the next system, you ask the basis to move it for you once you release the transport (SE10 and release).
Once the transport imported to target system, you need to make sure that the transport imported successfully and validate the report in target system and ask user to test the report and move on....
I am not sure how you can attach the report to proper role, it depends from company to company, you might need to attach it to role before you move to target system or you might have authorization to do it in target system itself.
Hey, take it easy you will make it.
    thanks.

  • Recommended File System - 3.5 TB

I'm about to build a large file server (3.5 TB):
      - 8 * 500GB Sata drives
      - Raid 5 (hardware)
The server will be primarly storing cd/dvd images and large graphics files.
I'm just starting my research on different file system.  Any recommendations?
    Thanks,
    Chris....

I was about to test a couple of different file systems and ran into a problem partitioning the drive.
To recap I am using 8 * 500GB WD Sata drives on a 3ware 9500 Card.  I have created one large Raid 5 array (in the 9500 BIOS program).
The 3ware instructions tell me to use parted to partition the drive (since it is large than 2TB).  However, parted does not support XFS...so I'm looking for another way to partition the drive.
I used fdisk.  When I start fdisk /dev/sda, it informs me that I have to set the cylinders before I can perform any actions.  I set the cylinders to the maximum fdisk will allow (some very large number).  I then created a partition using 1 as the start cylinder and 3500GB as the stop (which is the size of my RAID array).
I'm a little concered about the cylinder size I put in.  I know it is wrong, since I don't have any idea what the cylinder size should be.  Not sure cylinder size really makes sense across multiple disks though.
Also, every time I start fdisk (even to just verify the partition table), it asks me to input the cylinder size.
Any help/insights into how I can correctly partition the raid array would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chris....

  • Recommendations for System Config - Freshman Fall 2007 (High End)

We (parents) have a budget of $5,000 and are looking for recommendations on macbook pro configurations and accessories (sound, video, software) for our son who is a freshman entering school this fall. This will be his HS graduation present. Student is interested in film, gaming and listening to music and wants to be able to run mac and windows using the "yet to be released Macbook pro update." I would consider him and advanced but not expert user. I realize that no one will know MBP specs for a while but am interested in learning more about additional accessories, software and other upgrades that may be good options.
    Thanks in advance for advice.

Because the needs of users varies so much it's difficult to offer specific suggestions. What I might like for my needs could be completely inappropriate for yours.
As for running Windows and other operating systems you have the following choices:
    1. Apple's Boot Camp. It is currently beta software and comes free with OS X for Intel Macs. Boot Camp implements a dual-boot system in which you can either boot into OS X or Windows XP. Presently Boot Camp supports only Windows XP with Service Pak 2. We "expect" Vista support when the next version of OS X - Leopard - is released in October. Windows runs at native hardware speed.
    2. Parallels Desktop for Mac. Parallels is software virtualization. It runs Windows and several other operating systems concurrently with OS X. The newest version not yet released will support 3D hardware graphics and may begin to closely rival Boot Camp for speed. However, because this is not a "hardware" solution it will never run Windows equally fast as Boot Camp. But the new version claims to be more than able to support what gamers need.
    3. VM Fusion. Like Parallels VM Fusion is virtualization software. Currently it is still beta software. Like Parallels it will run must all versions of Windows as well as several other operating systems. Because it is still beta software it's hard to know just how fast the final product will be in terms of supporting graphic intensive gaming.
    4. CrossOver. CrossOver is an implementation of a technology that runs certain Windows applications without having to install Windows. Although it does work you can only run applications that have been "converted" to work with the software. Although there is an impressive list of available software you can download from CodeWeavers I'm not familiar with how well it will run graphically intensive games. Like VM Fusion and Parallels CrossOver is a form of software virtualization.
As for printers it depends on whether you are considering inkjet or laser technology as well as black and white or color. Of importance with any such peripheral is how well the manufacturer supports their products for Intel Macs. I can really only suggest manufacturers because I don't know what type of printer you are considering. Good choices are available from Epson, Hewlett-Packard, Canon, Lexmark, and Xerox. But none of them provide a product line that is completely compatible and fully supported on Intel Macs. You must check a product carefully before buying to be sure it will work properly. Sites such as MacWorld.com and CNet.com provide extensive reviews, product and user reports, as well as price information on thousands of peripherals.
About Compatible Peripherals maintains a list of peripherals known to be compatible with Mac computers.
As for speakers this is again so much a matter of taste. I've always been partial to products from Bose, Acoustic Research, JBL Lansing, and Altec Lansing.
Does this help you in any way? Have I left out anything?

  • Moved win 7 system from Domain to Workgroup and can't log in

I just left my old domain (server was retired some time ago) on my Windows 7 laptop, and created a workgroup to move it into. I was using domain administrator account and password consistently on this machine, and when I did this. I was prompted for Administrator
account name and password before windows would make this change, so I thought everything would be ok. Password succeeded.
Now system boots to login page displaying icon and existing name for the computer. (computer was named before joining domain long ago). No other icons are available, no link to log into other accounts, and no password entry field is present (I didn't initially
create a password for new workgroup). When I click icon, "welcome" appears briefly, then "logging off", then I am taken back to same login screen. Shutdown options appear in lower right, but only include shut down, hibernate, sleep, and
restart; no option for log off or change user.
F8 > Last known good config yields same result. I can log in on safe mode, but windows explorer is not present in start menu or task bar, and start menu left (main) panel is featureless above all programs. Control panel and standard options appear in start
menu right panel. I can start explorer from search field, and full directory structure in accessible. Computer named account is shown to be administrator type. I have option available to create a password, but don't want to make things worse.
I want to be able to log onto this account on computer normally, without reinstalling windows. This is my only objective at this time. I don't actually need to be in a workgroup, but that seemed the only way to leave domain. My purpose in leaving domain was
so I could create a homegroup to connect with virtualized windows 7 on my linux desktop system, and to avoid other annoyances that have come up with being in domain.
    Guidance please? Thanks in advance...

  • Seeking advice: moving universe between systems

    Hi all,
I've been spending some time trying to work through the Business Objects documentation to try and understand what's involved in migrating a Universe from a non-SQL Server based system to a SQL Server based system.
I'm seeking advice not having used Business Objects as I am attempting to estimate the work involved for a customer who currently uses BO. I don't know whether it's just a simple exercise of changing the database connection, or whether more work is involved. I've tried to get this information through SAP formally, but not currently being a BO customer they've refused to answer any questions.
During the course of the migration of the underlying data tables, some columns in some tables have changed their data-type (e.g., from smalldatetime to datetime, or changes in length/precision). I'm also not sure if the tables have changed name: in the old system, they are named in a SQL type manner (i.e. <prefix>.<tablename>) however in SQL Server the objects will be placed in a database named <prefix> with each table being named <tablename>.
Would this potentially require a full drop of every object in the Universe, or could this exercise be achieved without having to remove and re-add any objects by saying "this object in the Universe is now this object in the database".
    Any advice welcome.
    Cheers,
    Chris...

    Hi Chris,
The universe is quite a simple tool in that it maps the sql directly to objects. So if the universe points to a table name that is no longer present, you wil get an error in the report, or when you check the integrity of the universe (tools, check integrity)
The standard formats will move accross without an issue, however it is possible to use vendor specific code in objects. So for instance I could write
    nvl(my_table.my_col, 0) in Oracle
    or
    IsNull(my_table.my_col, 0) in MS SQL.
If you objects contain these defintions then your job is going to get harder.
    Regards
    Alan
