Movie files "missing" and now show in Music

I do not use auto-sync.
I manually copied some more movie files onto my 80Gb iPod.
After the copy process had completed my original movies are now missing.
They are now in the Music section.
Does anyone knows how to
a) avoid this annoyance in the future
b) get them back into the Movie category.

Open up iTunes and go to where the video files are
situated. Right click and click on Get Info, then
look around the tabs (cant remember which one) and
make sure that the movie file is not under 'Music
Video' if it is change it to Movie File.
Maybe I need to clarify,
The video files are no longer in the "Video" folder of iTunes.
They went missing altogether, until I found them in the "Music" folder.
"Get Info" correctly identifies the files as mpeg-4 and will play correctly in Windows under QuickTime. However, playing the same file on the iPod starts up as music, with the some artwork.
So far, I have downloaded http://www.yamipod.com/, copied the files to my hard drive. Now I will deleted them from my iPod and attempt re-add them as video.

Can you move files back and forth between an iPad and a PC using iTunes?

If I read this article correctly, http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4094 I should be able to connect my iPad to my PC, fire up iTunes and then on the Apps tab in iTunes I should be able to click on an app, Pages for example and then just drag files onto the Pages Documents column from a Windows Explorer window.
This is great. I was hoping to use DropBox but it is such a hassle I don't know why people are so thrilled with DropBox on iPad. If I can just move files back and forth using iTunes that should be fairly easy. I wish there was a way to just upload my files to iCloud from my PC but the iCloud control panel app for Windows only seems to connect Outlook, Photostream and Bookmarks. I want to be able to just carry my iPad and not have to deal with a computer.
I thought that they said that you didn't need to have a computer to have an iPad. I guess if you have a computer and then GET an iPad its a different story, unless you have a Mac of course.
Anyway my question is: can you move files back and forth between a PC and an iPad using just iTunes?

I still need to do some trial and error testing with DropBox and my iPad. But can I link my iPad to my DropBox account so that I can always see the files on DropBox when I open Pages on my iPad? I just want one place to store my documents, and iCloud doesn't seem to be up to the task when it comes to opening a fil;e, editing it and then saving it back to iCloud. I just want a networked storage location that works like a networked drive on my LAN.
I realize that hollywood and the music industry are up in arms about file sharing on the Cloud which is why so many things are made more difficult than they need to be.

If in iPod that means the music files got corrupted and are lost.

When you sync it with your computer did you check that it should sync movies?
If it automaticlly synced anything in peoples itunes lib it would fill their ipads once over

Since yesterday morning about 11:00 I have been having TERRIBLE email problems on this iPad 3G. Email comes in (I hear the sound) but nothing displays -- no folders, no content, no nothing in e-mail. The blank email screen shows up and then disappears after about 10 seconds, taking me back to the Home Screen.
Right now, the only way I can see email on this device is to log onto AOL via the AOL app.
I have been doing a lot of online reading about the problem. It has to do with iOS 8.1.3 and it affects older iPads and iPhones. I'm having no problems on my iPod touch, which -- fortunately -- is so old it cannot update its iOS 6.
I waited to update the iOS on this iPad until iOS 8 was "mature." That was about 2 weeks ago.
Anybody know know if Apple is aware? working on a solution?

Downloaded movie file missing, why?

Hi, I recently tried downloading our Frozen copy via iTunes (digital copy). While the download successfully completed, I can't play it back because iTunes can't see to find the physical file. Here's what happens:
1) Double-clicking on the movie in List View in iTunes shows this dialog: http://screencast.com/t/TzbZSFpx
2) Finding the movie in 'Movies' view and playing it back that way (http://screencast.com/t/sfbCBgjfmw) results in the next alphabetical movie being played (in my case Ghostbusters)
3) 'Get Info' on the movie file (in List View) shows this: http://screencast.com/t/sfbCBgjfmw (it says in iCloud even though I've downloaded it, 3 times already)
4) Navigating to my itunes library, I see that the included iTunes Extras got downloaded fine: http://screencast.com/t/xJc9U8SWvD
I'm going to download a 4th time and post the screenshot showing that the download completed.
(Note, this Digital Copy download is a Franken-download where I redeem a vendor-specific code and was launched into the iTunes store after selecting iTunes as my preference. Could that make a difference?

       Its an STO PO
      PO line item   2 qty.
      GI (351 mvt type) - 2 qty and again 2 qty
      GR (101 mov type) done - 4 qty.
plz guide me how to correct it...reversal or cancellation..any effect of a/c entries

Personally I'd suggest a cancellation for something that didn't happen. So cancel GR for 4 (and then do a GR for 2) and cancel the second GI of 2.
With a cancellation you are guaranteed to post to the correct accounts (with a reversal it should be the correct accounts being posted to too).

You will, because the credited funds are on your iTunes account, not the application. When you reinstall iTunes just configure it with your old iTunes account and your credits will be there waiting for you.

Try doing a hard reset on the phone;
1. Hold Home and Sleep/Wake buttons at the same time;
2. Wait for the Apple logo to appear (ignore the slide to Power Off option)
3. Let go of the buttons when you see Apple on the screen
4. Allow iPhone to reboot;
If you are still unable to get the phone to power on, charge, or connect to iTunes; it could possibly require service. (hardware replacement)

Yeah, I'm a Mac/Apple guy to the core, and have been since 7th grade (about 11-12 years now). Yet, I can't help but look at my iPod as if it has self-destructed. I was listening to it (w/ tape adapter, of course) on the way home in the car, then unplugged it for literally five minutes, got into my apartment, plugged it in my dell Latitude, and poof it had been reformatted. So, the moment I plugged it in, its funcionality basically vanished. The 5 R's have been useless thus far, and I can't even reformat using Explorer, because Windows tells me that the 1 GB iPod now has no storage capacity. ***? Strange, strange. Anyhow, sorry for the rambling, but this really confounds and frustrates me. APPLE....HELP US PLEASE!

go to settings>general>reset>reset home screen layout and see if they appear.

Wow seems like some physical damage to the iPhone whether this is a manufacturing defect or misuse it would need to be evaluated and determined at either an Apple Store or Service provider. And yes this is most likely causing the camera not to focus.

Mmmm, try checking for available downloads from the store menu, if that doesn't help, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.
