I am trying to download a movie after receiving error message: "there is not enough available local storage to download..." Bla bla bla. I DID pay for extra storage in the cloud - still receiving same error message - *** is going on????
I was contemplating buying an apple laptop - my first in a lifetime of pcs... I guess that's out now - apple obviously thinks its too grand to answer the ordinary person !!! ..
Not happy. If someone has a solution please help as the creator of the product is way too important now to answer a mere customer haha

When you were attempting to download that movie, the local PC cache of that incomplete download was growing progressively larger until it exhausted available local space on the PC, not iCloud. You should compare the size of that video file to remaining storage space on your PC, and make room as necessary. That video, if a full length 1080p or blu-ray movie could exceed 5GB or 20GB respectively.
You should assess your available iCloud storage to your intended storage requirements.
Your decision to continue with PC ownership or choose an Apple product is your own.

Is it possible to move my iPad's iTunes backup from one user to another, so as to change which user the iPad is syncing to without deleting any app data? Currently the iPad is synced to one user on my iMac, and I would like to transfer it so that it will sync with a different user on the same iMac (using iTunes, of course). I'd like to replace content from the old user's iTunes library with my user (eg. music, movies), but I don't want to loose app data in the process if I can avoid it.
I have tried to use the pathway /Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup but my iMac doesn't seem to have a MoblieSync folder. I wouldn't know what to do with the backup anyway though.
Can anyone help me or is this request too complicated, difficult, or impossible? Thanks for your help!

I've done this, it is easy, but takes time and patience.
On the existing mac with OSX and Configurator:

- run disk utility and verify your disks are ok, a must
- make note of the user logged in when using configurator such as "bob"
- connect a new or newly reformatted USB formatted for Apple
- run time machine and backup to the USB
- Take the mac off the network,
- Buy a new mac
- setup the mac with a new logon account like Paul or "bob2" do not use BOB !!
- finish the new purchase setup, get to your desktop
- now run the migraiton assistant moving bob from the USB to the new mac
- reboot, logon as bob, launch configurator and connect just one ipad. Test

HT4623 Hello!! I have just updated my iPad to version 7.0.4 and the screen will no longer rotate. It opens in landscape and after I have chosen an activity it rotates to portrait and doesn't move round as I move the iPad. Its frustrating

I do not know if this will work or not, but when my iphone (currently not behind bars if you know what i mean) goes into a recovery loop I use this trick.
first try to get your iphone onto to apple boot logo. you can do this by holding the power and home buttons at the same time. if you can do that you're in good shape, possibly.
Next try to power down the phone. since you can't do the "slide to power down" method you'll need to hold both buttons again. this may cause the phone to power down the up again, keep holding until completely powered down.
Once powered down press the power button and up volume button at the same time and hold them both until the apple logo comes up.
once the apple logo comes up then release the power button and continue to hold the volume button.
Your phone should boot up normally then be sure to go to itunes and backup.
I do not know for sure if that works on any iphone or just my iphone and the state it is in. but it sure is worth a shot.

Are you going to give us any additional clues as to what you are really asking here?
1) The "HT5409" in your subject title reference implies you are dealing with AVCHD content. If true, then how did you transfer them to your iPad and how did you transfer them from your iPad to your your MacBook Air platform? As the HT409 topic clearly stated, this can be very important. In addition, how are the files stored? For instance , have you extracted the MPEG-4 AVC content as transport streams or is the content still in the device recorded file form? Are you trying to edit the content or convert it to M4V, MP4, or MOV files directly?
2) The "can i convert movies from iPad to mac laptop" part of your subject title is confusing. Yes, AVCHD files can be converted to simpler MPEG-4 AVC content that is compatible with all current and most older Mac computers and Apple mobile devices in MOV, MP4, and/or M4V file formats. However, how you do this will depend on the current form of the data and the target settings you wish to employ to ensure compatibility with the various target device possibilities. Further, non-AVCHD content (e.g., HD iPad video recordings) can also be downconverted to simpler settings in a similar manner if needed or required if that is your questing.
3) Depending on your operating system, both AVCHD and MPEG-4 AVC content should already be compatible with QT X v10.2 and v10.3 players if properly transferred to your laptop from the recording device. And, even if improperly transferred, may still be converted to useable/compatible formats as long as the file itself has not been corrupted by your, as yet, unspecified workflow.
4) What does "will not play on my mac air laptop with quicktime installed" mean here? Are you trying to play an AVCHD movie in the QT 7 player or one of the QT X players? If the latter, which one? Are you getting any error message? If so, what are they? If not playing in your main user account on the computer, does it play useing a different account? Do the files play in other, third-party multimedia players?

To properly solve the issue we need all possible information that you can provide describing exactly what you are doing, how you are doing it, what is not working as your expect it should, and what your goals are. In cases where you cannot answer such questions, it is often helpful to simply post/upload a sample "problem" file and let other users here examine it to determine the problem and/or suggest a specific solution for your particular system/configuration combination.

you are probably seeing the extended display.. to see ur main display go to pefrences then display steeings and turn mirroring on.

HT2729 iTunes stopped syncing movies to iPad

The file format is right for iPad because iTunes previously synced the same movies without problems (my kids like to erase apps/movies only to put it back again later). When I check the movies that I want to and click apply/sync it shows sync in progress for a few seconds (syncs music/books etc) but no movies move to iPad. This is true to old/previously viewed as well as new movies.
