Moving code from class to stage
I have this code in a class that retrieves todays date. How
can I show the date in a textfield?
Or can I modify the code and just put it in my scene so I
won't have to call the class?
You can put this on the timeline:

Can't generate code from class diagram
I have installed Studio Enterprise 8. I tried to create a class, but when I right-clicked on a class, there was no "Generate Code" on the contextual menu.
I've tried the Help guide as pasted below. Would appreciate anybody's help. Thanks.
To generate code:
In the Projects window or in a diagram, right-click the element or elements for which you want to generate code.
In the Projects window, this code generation function is supported for entire UML projects and for individual diagram elements.
On the contextual menu, choose Generate Code. The IDE generates source code for all of the target items and displays the code in the Source Editor.Thanks, but I still have problem.

Following the code from class to class...
I am trying to change the value of SaleFlag to true or false. A consultant coded the following in an Entity bean called Item.java

Thank you.First of all your MyTimer class is written wrong and sloppy.
Why does it extend Stage? The most compact class to extend under the circumstances is Sprite.
Also, it is very important to get into habit of datatype declarations. Not only it is good practice, in your case good compiler will throw error because although you return String, function doesn't return anything.
In addition, it is important to declare namespaces like private public and protected inside classes. Not function clickTime():String but private function clockTime():String or public function clickTime():String.
As for how to show your time elsewhere - you just need to create instnace of it and add it to disaply list:

Need help moving my code from the timeline into classes
Hello everybody,
A few months ago I made a simple flashgame with the help of a tutorial (http://www.flashgametuts.com/tutorials/as3/how-to-create-a-brick-breaker-game-in-as3-part- 1/) as a school assignment. When I turned it in to my teacher, his biggest complaint was that the code was written onto the timeline instead of in seperate classes. I know virtually nothing of programming (dealt with agoraphobia while the classes took place ), so I was wondering if someone could help me move the code into classes.

Thanks!You will need to learn about classes. I suggest that for the moment you set your actual project to the side--but keep it in mind--and work on some smaller chunks. Do some tutorials and learn a bit. Then try and apply what you have learned to your project.

Work on the individual bits and post more specific questions when you run up against them.
It will require shifting your thoughts a bit on how to design and structure things. For me the really key concept is encapsulation--the idea that your classes are self-contained and have very specific routes of communication for receiving and sending information. To achieve this you need to think about methods, properties, and events. If you've done regular timeline coding you probably recognize properties (x, alpha, htmlText, etc.) and events (MouseEvent.CLICKED). Methods is a fancy word for function. So when you do something like myMovieClip.gotoAndStop(5) the gotoAndStop is a method of the MovieClip class and that just means somewhere there is code like this:

That is a bit of a simplification, but conceptionally it is what you will do for the methods of your classes. -
Problem in moving the code from one system to other system

I am working on building a webservice. I started building the EJB teir compnents like (Entity beans, Sessions beans, data base schemas) using the SUN ONE STUDIO 5 and SUN ONE App Server 7.0.
The problem, if I want to move the same entity beans code from one computer to other computer.
I am using same platform except the operating system (XP, and Windows 2000), apart from this every thing is same (Sun one studio 5, sun one app server 7.0). The Entity beans are working on the source computer and tested the beans. But When I moved the code to other computer, I compiled the entity beans code and it compiled perfectly. Then I tested the entity bean, I generated the test client, and deployed it. Till now no problem. When I tried to excute it and invoke the functions then it giving the following error:
Is there any solution, so that I can avoid coding from scrath again when I want to use same on other computer.

Problem in moving the code from one computer to other
Hi,
I am working on building a webservice. I started building the EJB teir compnents like (Entity beans, Sessions beans, data base schemas) using the SUN ONE STUDIO 5 and SUN ONE App Server 7.0.
The problem, if I want to move the same entity beans code from one computer to other computer.
I am using same platform except the operating system (XP, and Windows 2000), apart from this every thing is same (Sun one studio 5, sun one app server 7.0). The Entity beans are working on the source computer and tested the beans. But When I moved the code to other computer, I compiled the entity beans code and it compiled perfectly. Then I tested the entity bean, I generated the test client, and deployed it. Till now no problem. When I tried to excute it and invoke the functions then it giving the following error:
Is there any solution, so that I can avoid coding from scrath again when I want to use same on other computer.

Moving activity codes from global to project level
I'm relatively new to using P6 so feel free to tell me if i'm stupid.
I began adding activity codes in the EPS level and eventually moved them to the Global level. later i was instructed to move them all to the Project Level, and the only way i could find to do it was to CUT and PASTE from Global to Project.
This have presented several issues with adding codes to new activities as well as modifying the codes.
1 I cannot add any values to my codes which were in global and moved to project level. actualy i just have to move them back to global, add values, move them back to project
2. The only way i can add these codes to new activities is to add a column for the code and use Filldown.
I can manage with adding codes to activities but not being able to create new values is becoming an issue.
I starting to think that P6 still considers them global codes even though they are represented on a project level.
Is there a better way to move codes from global to project? any solutions other than just working around the issues? or am I stuck?

At the project level the default Security Profile is Project Manager, so i suppose this would be the level i am on. All of the privileges are turned on.
I am not sure if i was clear enough above, but i am able to add codes at the project level. My issue is that we added hundreds or more codes at the global level and were then instructured to move them to the project level. Rather than rebuilding everything I used Cut and Paste to move them to the project level. Since doing this, adding codes to new activities as well as modifying the codes mentioned above has become problematic.
At first it seemed to work, but I think that even though they are represented in the project level, they are still considered global codes. When adding columns, the codes are still represented under a heading named Activity Codes - Global, rather than Activity Codes - Project. everywhere else they are shown as global.
Anymore advice?

Creating java code from a class diagram in JDeveloper
I have created a class diagram in JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0. When I generated java code from the class diagram by right clicking on the class diagram->transform->same diagram->UML to Java, a .java file is generated with attributes and getters/setters, and also a .uml_cla file is generated. What is this .uml_cla file exactly and what is it used for? Also I have a package.uml_pck file that was created 3 times. I have a package of com.xxx.xxxx, and it put this package.uml_pck file in "com", in "xxx", and in "xxxx". Do I need to retain all 3 of these files in my project?
One more question related to this. When I change something in the java representation of the class diagram (i.e. a datatype), it updates the .java file that was generated from the class diagram, and it also works the other way...change the .java file and the java representation of the class diagram changes. However, the class diagram that the code was generated from does not change, nor does the mysterious .uml_cla file I asked about in the above paragraph.This did work for me, with an exception. I have put the .java files generated from the class diagram in a different package from the .class_diagram file, the package.uml_pck file, and the .uml_cla file to keep the actual source code separate. When I modified the .java file and transformed the class diagram from java to UML, it created the package.uml_pck file and the .uml_cla files again in the same package as the .java file, and they show the update. The package.uml_pck file, and the .uml_cla file that were originally created and are in the separate package from the .java files were untouched, thus the class diagram displayed does not reflect the change either. Does this mean I should not, or cannot, separate these files, and that they all must be left in the same package? (the purpose of separating it in the first place was for ease of deployment since we don't want to deploy any of the class diagram files) Thanks!

I have an issue when I load metadata via ODI to HFM. I get this message:
Error code: 0x80040154 [Class not registered
com.hyperion.odi.common.ODIHAppException: Metadata load failed. Error code: 0x80040154 [Class not registered
After some search on the net I see that this is due to a patch which is already been installed(ODI 10.1.3.5.5). The HFMDriver.dll is renamed as HFMDriver32.dll and HFMDriver64.dll rename as HFMDriver.dll.

1. I have reversed the HFM application TestApp into target for ODI and everything seems fine in the operator
2. I have created a simple source flat file for the Account dimension
3. I have created an interface to the Account dim. and verified the mapping with no errors
4. The process stops when trying to Load the Metadata to HFM(Step 5 / of 7)
5. When I search the log I see the Error code: 0x80040154 [Class not registered]
Does anyone have any idea why the interface does not load the metadata?

1. Unregister the adapter by opening the command prompt and changing the path to
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\ RegSvcs.exe /u C:\Hyperion\products\FinancialDataQuality\SharedComponents\AdapterComponents\fdmAdapterCOMadmin\fdmAdapterCOMadmin.dll
and:
RegSvcs.exe /u C:\Hyperion\products\FinancialDataQuality\SharedComponents\AdapterComponents\fdmFM11xG5C\fdmFM11xG5C.dll
Please verify the correct path to the dll's before proceeding
2. Re-register the adapter using the 64 bit version of RegSvcs, C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\RegSvcs.exe <PathToDLL> i.e. ..\Hyperion\products\FinancialDataQuality\SharedComponents\AdapterComponents\fdmFM11xG5C\fdmFM11xG5C.dll
N.B. Do not re-register the ComAdmin.dll because that is not a 64 bit component.
4. Open the FDM workbench and configure the adapter by right clicking the adapter -> Configure and re-entering the username and password.

There should be no migration issues. The exceptions would be invalid code that compiled due to a bug in the earlier compiler but is correctly diagnosed as an error with the later compiler. In rare cases, the later compiler has a bug not present in the earlier compiler (a regression). When found, regressions are fixed in patches. If you have an Oracle service contract, you can download patches from My Oracle Support. Otherwise, get the most recent compiler, which should not have those regressions.

The compiler error message is correct. The function returns a vector<int>, but you can't create a vector<int> from an integer 0. That is, the vector template has several constructors, but none that accept a single integer argument.
