Ms Access & Java

Hi
Do you people have good URLs where they explain how to connect MS Access properly with Java?
I need also some help to execute the updates from the database with Java and to get the data from database to use in java, preferably with good examples.
Sites concerning SQL.
All URLs about these matters are welcome.
Thanks in advance.

  • How to access java method in JSP

    Hi all,
    I need to access java class (abstract portal component) method doContent() in a JSP which is under PORTAL-INF/jsp folder.
    I did
    <%@ page import = "com.mycompany.Aclass" %>
    <%com.mycompany.Aclass a = new com.mycompany.Aclass (); %>
    Aclass is coming as autofill/prepopulated with cntrl+space
    Till this time, it is working. no errors. But when I do
    a.
    a. (a dot) no methods are populating (autofill..cntrl+space) or If I forcebly add method a.doContent(req,res)... at runtime its giving error.
    It's not only with doContent method... Its with any simple methods in that class or any other class.
    (Other than doContent method in the APC java class are prepopulating/autofilling but giving error in runtime)
    Can anyone help me... how to access java method in JSP.
    I already gone through many SDN forum post... and implemented too---but no use I refered below forum thread

    1st. The classes must be in packages. 2nd, the package that they are in must be under the WEB-INF/classes directory. 3rd Look on google and/or this site for web application deployment

  • (how) can I access Java APIs from web-page-hosted JavaScript?

    Can I access Java APIs from a web-page via JavaScript if I have a JRE installed on the client machine? And if so, how?
    Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

    John L. wrote:
    Can I access Java APIs from a web-page via JavaScript if I have a JRE installed on the client machine? And if so, how?As far as I can remember that was actually possible in the very first versions of Netscape because Netscape really wanted to pretend Javascript and Java were meant to be used together. But they soon removed that functionality. Can you guess why?
    Because people were using the File/IO classes to easily steal or remove files on the harddrive, among other such niceties. You do NOT want to have such control from a web application. People will abuse it.

  • Accessing java classes from javascript

    Hi,
    I have the following javascript function
    function testjava {
        var myString = new java.lang.String("Hello world"); // line 1
        alert("len:"+myString.length()); // line 2
    }It gives me a error at line 1 saying "'java' is undefined" in IE browser 5.5 sp2. But, both the lines execute correctly in netscape 6.
    Can someone please help..
    Thanks,
    Vijay.

    It seems that IE 5.5 doesn't support accessing java classes in JavaScript, so try to install IE 6 to see if it works or maybe, you doesn't have installed propertly support for JVM in IE.

  • Accessing Java tables of XI within GUI/Java mapping

    Hi,
    I am looking for a way to access tables of a java dictionary within java/GUI mapping. Specifically, if it is possible some simple API to access  java tables within user-defined functions.
    I know you can access tables via JDBC/RFC lookups. But, this way more applies to external to SAP XI tables. Is there a more simpler way to access java native tables inside SAP XI.
    Thank you in advance,
    Dmitriy Mindich

    Hi Stephan,
    I agree that first case should not be implemented. But, I would like to disagree on the second case. I am not talking about storing application data, but interface-related intformation, such is file generation id or date generation. This information is interface-specific, and unfortunately XI does not provide a way to store persistent variables inside XI.
    There are a couple of options:
    1. Use SEEBURGER's functionality. Unfortunately, I dont have the need to use EDI functionality of SAP, thus I dont want to buy SEEBURGER's license.
    2. Use ABAP Mapping and store it inside tables inside ABAP-stack. However, as I said before this step would be performance intensive for me, since the majority of mapping in my case is done in Java/GUI mapping.
    Based on these cases, I was thinking there should be an easier way to store/retrieve interface related information inside XI tables. And, since most of my mappings are Java-based, I was thinking I can use Java-stack to store persistent variables.
    Would you agree, Stephan?

    Dmitriy Mindich

  • Accessing java objects from within javascript

    Hello,
    Anyone with an idea of a useful toolkit for accessing java objects from within javascript will be much appreciated.

    What do you mean by accessing Java objects? Do you mean interacting with an applet via JavaScript? Something else?

  • Transaction code to access java editor

    hi
    i would like to know the transaction code to access java editor

    Hi,
    Never heard of anything like transaction code to open java editor. As mentioned above in one of the responses, best way to write java code is using NWDS.
    However, if you are good at java and do not require assistance in methods and class selections while coding, then you could develop your code in editors like Editplus and then use NWDS to deploy the code on server.
    However, for creation of java projects (with supporting jars, ears etc.), NWDS is very good option.
    Thanks,
    Bhavish

  • How do I access Java on my Mac Pro so that I can make sure it's working so I can view Netflix "watch instantly"?

    How do I access Java on my Mac Pro so that I can make sure it's working so that we can view "watch instantly" on Netflix?

    There are various browser scripts
    1: Java (not needed much at all and highly advised to be turned off in Safari/Firefox preferences due to it's vulnerability)
    2: Javascript (if off, needs to be turned on in Safari/Firefox preferences as it's used A LOT)
    Note:  If your using a NoScript type blocker, then you need to whitelist the site. Or drag a Temp Allow All button to Firefox's Toolbar.
    3: Silverlight plug-in (needed for watching Netflix content, it's from Microsoft)
    4: Flash (needed for watching a lot of web based content, but requires constant checks to make sure it's current as they have a lot of security issues)
    Check your status here, works on all web browsers

  • Access java from javascript in firefox

    Hi,
    I am trying to access java method from javascript.
    It works fine with ie, but firefox somehow brings up the error
    saying the method defined in java is not a function.
    I am calling like.
    document.applets["myapp"].soundAlarm();
    I have put MAYSCRIPT in the applet tag.
    still not works.
    Does anyone have idea ?
    Thanks

    Try with
    document.myapp.soundAlarm();I assume that the name attribute of the APPLET is myapp.
    Note the MAYSCRIPT is useless in your context. MAYSCRIPT is used when from Java you need to access the JSObject.
    See http://www.rgagnon.com/topics/java-js.html for examples.
    Bye.

  • Accessing Java webservice (XML over http) via WCF or HTTP adapter with content-type and authorization HTTP headers with POST method

    Hi Team,
    I need to access Java web service which is simple service and accepts and returns XML over HTTP. No credentials are needed to access the service. We need to pass following two HTTP headers (Content-Type and Authorization) along with XML request message:
    <GetStatus> message is being constructed in the orchestration and URI is constant to access.
    Which adapter shall I use to get the response back? I tried using WCF-WSHttp with Security Mode = Transport, and different options of client credential types but every time, error returned stating:
    System.Net.WebException:
    The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Basic'. The
    authentication header received from the server was 'Basic realm='.
    Authentication failed for principal Basic. Message payload is of type:
    String
    In Fiddler, request looks line following
    POST <https://URL/GetServiceReopnse HTTP/1.1
    Content-Type: application/xml
    Authorization: Basic cmVmU3RhdHN2Y19kgeRfsdfs=
    Host: <Server name>
    <GetStatus XMLNS="http://server.com/.....">
    <OrgId>232323</OrgId>
    <HubId>3232342323</HubId>
    </GetStatus>
    MMK-007

    First, you should not use the HTTP Adapter because it's been deprecated and replaced by WCF.
    Start with the WCF-Custom Adapter and select the customBinding.
    You should start with the textMessageEncoder and httpTransport and go from there.

    The problem we encountered as below:
    Our company used XI 3.0 SR1 for exchange data between SAP R/3 and no-sap system.For now,we wanna create a backup system(for

    save process start).And following,we restored from the tape that we save from XI product system to the new backup system(they
    are whole different paratition),but the problem is coming.Describe as following item:
    1. The application seem to can be started but the java node always restart circularly(We have 4 java node now),I think
    because of different of hardware configure(between XI product and Backup system) and lack of hardware resource.(XI prduction
    have 5 CPUs and 22G Mem,Backup system have 2 CPUs and 16G MEM ).Therefore we wanna decrease the number of java nodes for
    start application in backup system(throught configtool).
    2. We wanna use configtool to decrease the java nodes for start backup system.But we encountered a problem during running the
    configtool ,the information of prompt dialog as following:

    I am still having problems accessing java script sites.  Anyone else having this problem?

    Javascript can be left on, but Java (which is something very different) should generally be turned off.
    Apple barred Java from running on Macs, leaving companies that rely on Java plug-ins out in the cold.
    Apple blocked Java 7 Update 11 by adding it to the banned list in XProtect.
    This was the second time in two weeks that Apple has blocked Oracle's code from running on Macs. This time Java is blocked through Apple's XProtect anti-malware feature.
    Java has come under fire as the means by which hackers have been able to gain control of computers. In April 2012 more than 600,000 Macs were reported to have been infected with a Flashback Trojan horse that was being installed on people's computers with the help of Java exploits. Then in August Macs were again at risk due to a flaw in Java, this time around, there was good news for Mac users: Thanks to changes Apple has made, most of us were safe from the threat.
    Unwilling to leave its customers open to potential threats Apple decided it's safer to block Java entirely.
    Macs running OS X Snow Leopard and beyond are affected.
    UPDATE for those running Lion or Mountain Lion:
    Oracle on Friday February 1 released a new version reportedly addressing vulnerabilities seen with the last build.
    Apple disabled Java 7 through the OS X XProtect anti-malware system, requiring users to have at least version "1.7.0_10-b19" installed on their Macs. The release dated February 1 carries the designation "1.7.0_13-b20," meeting Apple's requirements.
    Oracle "strongly recommends" applying the CPU fixes as soon as possible, saying that the latest Critical Patch Update contains 50 new security fixes across all Jave SE products.
    Update foror Snow Leopard users:
    Apple have issued update 12 for Java for OS 10.6:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1573
    Note:  On systems that have not already installed Java for Mac OS X 10.6 update 9 or later, this update will configure web browsers to not automatically run Java applets. Java applets may be re-enabled by clicking the region labeled "Inactive plug-in" on a web page. If no applets have been run for an extended period of time, the Java web plug-in will deactivate.

    Wondering if someone could help me out. Attempting to access work network which requires Cisco Clean access Java applet. It gives me a link to Java. Question is does the itouch support java plug ins? Any thoughts gratefully appreciated.

    I ran into the same issue on my university campus. This is what I learned. Apparently, iPod Touch has wi-fi 802.11 and does not support 802.1x authentication method, which some universities and workplaces use. I do not know if there is (or will be) a solution. Hope that helps.

    In weblogic 10.3.6, when you deploy using console, you have to click on start button which appears in Deployments page.
    Your weblogic.xml file should be as below:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <wls:weblogic-web-app xmlns:wls="http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/weblogic-web-app" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_2_5.xsd http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/weblogic-web-app http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/weblogic-web-app/1.3/weblogic-web-app.xsd">
    <wls:weblogic-version>10.3.6</wls:weblogic-version>
    <wls:context-root>/logs</wls:context-root>
    <container-descriptor>
    <index-directory-enabled>true</index-directory-enabled>
    </container-descriptor>
    <virtual-directory-mapping>
         <local-path>/opt/oracle/logs</local-path> (as per your path)
         <url-pattern>/logs/*</url-pattern>
         <url-pattern>*.log</url-pattern>
    </virtual-directory-mapping>
    </wls:weblogic-web-app>
