Ms Excel move automatically without pressing Enter or Tab to the next cell

Hi, I wonder if it is possible to make Ms Excel move automatically without pressing Enter or Tab to the next cell once a certain number of digits is entered, for example, I'm using a barcode scanner to scan a barcode of 13 digits, so I want Excel
to move to the next cell once the barcode is scanned.
example: I'm In cell A1, this code appeared after scanning "AABB1234567CC", I want Excel to move to A2 in order to scan the next barcode.

Excel has no direct feature or option to achieve your goal. We'd better try the macro via VBA code to test. Please see the thread:

Module pool screen field should default without pressing enter

I have got a main module pool screen which has a tabstrip with four tabs.
There are 2 fields in the main screen when we select from F4 for the first field then the field 2 should default in case of a condition.
This happens only when i press enter. I want the second field to change as soon as the first field is selected.
How do I trigger the PAI as soon as the field 1 is selected.
eg:                           Field 1 : i/p
                                Field 2 : display
                               Field 3 : i/p
On F4 for field 1 say i select value 'A' then the valu for field 3 should default to value 'B'. Also field 2 should be displayed based on combination of field 1 and field 2. But now it does it only on pressing enter.
How do I solve this problem?Also if i select field 1 value A and dont press enter and go to the subscreen tab then it does not do any thing. It allows to go on the subscreen tab. But actually it should default the field 3 value. It does it only when I press enter.
Also the F4 is from dictionary that is the screen fields are from dictionary. I have not created any F4 for the fields.
Please help me solve this problem

You can achieve this using List Box only not by Input Field. Since Input field doesn't trigger automatic PAI/PBO

When my X200 is in Hibernate Mode, it starts up automatically without pressing on the power up button....
I installed Win Xp on it. All my drivers are installed.
I swichted of the Power on Lan in the Bios, but still no difference.
When I turn off my computer completely, I doesn't start up from himself. So it's only in hibernate mode.
Does anyone has an idea what it coud be?

Selection screen field is not populated without pressing "Enter"

I am calling a report from module pool using SUBMIT statement. I have defined a selection screen as subscreen on module pool screen. On this selection screen i have a select option S_BUKRS. When I input company code 1000 and just press execute button on module pool, it is taking me to the report output. But S_BUKRS is not filled before the submit statement and hence report is executing as if S_BUKRS is initial.
I put a breakpoint and saw that the field S_BUKRS is not filled before calling the repot.
I re-ran the transaction (module pool) and this time after inputting 1000 in S_BUKRS I pressed enter and then pressed execute button. Now the value is transferred to report since S_BUKRS[] is filled.
Do I need to press enter key after inputting the values on the selection screen everytime; before pressing the execute button?
What could be the issue and how can I resolve it?

I believe, you should be able to caputre the value of S_BUKRS in AT SELECTION-SCREEN event even if the user executes the program with out hitting Enter key. Make sure that you are including the CALL SUBSCREEN <area> statement in the PAI as the first statement.

How to get the value from a cell in jTable without click "enter" or "tab"

I have a simple question. I have a jTable in my screen and when editing a value, but without click "enter" or "tab" I want to get the new value. I have a button update and after editing the value I click the button "update" and I want the new value to be store in my table. If try to get the selected value it is giving the old value. How can I implement this? Any idea? I hope I was clear.

Did you find a way to solve your problem ? We have exactly the same for one application and we are using the same version of HFM : 11.1.2.1.
This problem is only about webforms. We can correctly input data through Data Grids or Client 32.

I've been looking at this for a long time. My conclusion: because the BROWSER defines what actions the keys take, you either have to re-map the keys (a scary proposition) or just train your users to get used to that feature of web applications. A normal application has the capability to re-map the keys; web apps aren't quite as flexible in this regard.

When filling out a field on a form, they keyboard has a Green Enter button that submits the entire form. However, there are multiple fields on the page, and I would like it to tab to the next field. At the very least not submit the form.
Also, is there a way to configure the keyboard that shows up for each html5 input type?

They keyboard that shows up has the large "Green Enter" go button, a backspace and some arrow keys, but no tab button.

Sorted out the problem myself - secret is you have to go to Full Screen view to be able to scroll down. Easy as that - but not so apparent if you are new to this.

How do I change my master password when the current password is to press enter (with nothing in the password blank)?

Whenever I try and change my master password I can not manage to. I got a new hard drive and the person at the apple store told me that the password was to just press enter (with nothing in password blank), and that I would be able to change it. Everytime I try and change the master password it says, "incorrect password" under the current master password blank. It has been awhile since then and I have moved so I can not go back there and get them to figure it out. So the question is, Is there anyway to change it without wiping my entire hard drive and starting over?

I just tried it in Thunderbird and it worked for me.
Try holding the shift key while you start Thunderbird to disable add-ons and see if that could be the cause.

i am working with excel sheet using cvi. i need to put data in cells for that i have function ExcelRpt_WriteData();
but with this i can give fixed cell range , instead of that is there any function in cvi to point next cell automatically instead of giving cell range we will give intially starting cell range then it has to point to next cell in the sheet. is there any function to do that what i amn expecting.

Excel Report Generation instrument is built on top of excel2000.fp, the complete ActiveX interface to Excel. excel2000.fp is loaded together with ExcelReport.fp when you run your project, and you should be able to use functions from both instruments in your app (I have not tested it but since ExcelReport is a wrapper of calls to excel2000 instrument, I'm confident it is true).
Given this, you can look at excel2000dem example project that you can find on your disk in samples\activex\excel folder together with excelreportdemo which you may have already studied. In this example there are functions to write to a range of cells addressed by row and col indexes, specifically Excel_RangeSetItem (). This can be a good starting point: there is not the automatic cell advance, but you can address cells individually so you can develop your function according to your needs. Excel2000.fp is a low level interface to Excel: in this respect it is a bit more obscure and requires more effort in use but includes more functions than ExcelReport.

When typing an address in the location bar and pressing enter, nothing happens and the site does not load. How can I fix this?

When I type a new URL in the address bar (or location bar), and I either type the complete URL or select from the drop down list, nothing happens. I hit enter, and the website does not load in the current tab, new tab nor in a new window. Exactly the same when I hit the green arrow to the right of the address bar. I am using Firefox 8, and all my add-ins are up to date.
It has been working before. The setting to get Firefox to open new pages in a new tab from the address bar is there, so it should open a new tab. But I get nothing at all!
Please help, how can I fix this?

That issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
