MS Excel Option in Custom Report of MM

Hi Sap Gurus,
We build a custom report of MM where in If I click on the Icon of Xl File in the report it is taking me xl file (MS Office Tool) & not displayed the data on the xl file of SAP ALV data,
Anyone have an idea what settings we need to make on MS EXCEL application to display on the sap screen?
Seeking your expert advice.

Hi thanks to Every one for keen observations on the issue, But My concern is to trigger the data on the Xl file in SAP Screen itslef, that is possible in SAP only; the option we need to have is from MS excel application some settings needs revisit. The thing u mention in the thread is good which i tried works fine as an export option.As an example u can try with sample t codes of SAP

The code that has been provided is of Report Designer Component.
RDC has been deprecated in Crystal Reports 2008.
Use the 'ExcelFormatOptions' class. It provides many options regarding exporting in an excel format.

How to make use of pre-filter option in custom reports developed in SRSS(Fetch XML feature)

I have created a report and have enabled the prefiltering option. But still when i select a particular record to run, it gives an error. Is there anything that needs to be changed in the xml query. Can someone please show me a detailed example of how to
develop a report that uses prefilter option in order to make the report context sensitive. My objective is to create an invoice report that selects only one invoice record at a time.

Excel Output for Standard Reports using XML Publisher

Hi All,
Customer wants to get Excel Output for the existing Standard/Custom Reports using XML Publisher. I followed the following procedure.
1. Changed the output to XML for Concurrent program ( Trial Balance - Detail )
2. Used the Existing seeded Template
3. Ran the Report using EXCEL as the output.
When I clicked on View Output, I am not able to see the Excel output. I am seeing the HTML tags in the output window. Verified that Viewer Options existed for Excel as follows:
File Format=Excel, Mime Type=application/vnd.ms-excel.
When I ran the report with PDF output. I can see the PDF output.
Ran the HTML output with new Viewer Option ( File Format=HTML, Mime Type=application/vnd.ms-excel) then I can see the output in Browser in the Excel format. I did this test after going through the Metalink Note: Note:316752.1
My question is.. Do I need always choose the HTML ouput in the options window to trigger the Viewer option for HTML. Customer may not like this idea. He would like to choose the Excel Output and see the output in Excel format either in the Browser or Microsoft Excel.
Can someone in this situation before help me out.

1. Is the output is same for HTML and Excel options ?
2. Why the output is viewable with HTML option and not with Excel option ?
Customer has XML Publisher Version 5.0.1 and in the process of applying 5.6.1

When i am trying to spool the data with data only excel option using crystal reports XI, the records are appearing in two rows instead of single row. i have studied that when we use data only excel option entire record will be displayed in a single row,but it is not appearing in that way.Please help me out in fixing this bug. I am very much new to crytal reports.

All the field are of same size and height. The format is fine. The report is designed in such a way that data is displayed in three detail sections. What i would like to have is " i want the data in these three sections to be displayed in a single row when i select the data only excel export option".Please help me out in fixing this issue.

How to convert the customized report sales price list into excel sheet

hi friends,
i am faceing the probulem in VK13 report is not conveting into excel sheet, then i developed the one customized report,
in this report i am using the tables are a506, konp,and makt, result is coming and it converted into excel sheet in my systam. when i was clik on the excel sheet icon it comming excel format it working fine and save it. But in menubar list>export> localfile and select redio button spredsheet this navigation only it print the three colums not coming the total colums,
same program test in another system it not converted into excel sheet, when i am click on excel sheet icon it's given the message is 'VIEW CAN NOT BE SWITCHED, PRODUCT NOT INSTALLED OR INTEGRATION NOT ACTIVE'. but i giving the print privew it giving the three colums only,.
In program i am using regular using reuse_alv_grid_display FM only.

Need to submit custom report when email option chkd and po approved

Hi All,
We use R12, our requirment is to submit a custom report when PO is approved.
Not in all cases we need this. when user select 'Approve' option for a Manually created PO,
and in the Approval form, when the User selects 'Email' check box and approves it.
Irrespective of value that is given in email field, when that Email check box is checked and PO is approved, then the custom report should get submitted.
For this our funtional team is requesting to copy the PO approval Workflow and write a event there.
But I feel this can be achived in much easier way. But not getting any ideas.
Can anyone let me know what could be the best and effective way than modifying Workflow.
Can we do with custom.pll.
where I would check if the email check box is checked in the box and if the approve button is pressed then to launch the custom report.
One more doubt, can we get the values that are being enterd in the form. I mean, if the po number is 55, in the custom.pll
can we get that value into our custom.pll code, which i need pass as a prameter to the report.

Custom reports needed in excel format..12.0.6

we are on 12.0.6
All of our custom reports are defined with output format of pdf at the time of defining executable and program from sysadmin
Now there is a need by our costing department that they need all the finanical related reports in excel format
we tried converting the pdf to excel but format variation is too huge and to no use
how can we make it possible that reports come in excel format directly
there r seeded oracle reports, which when viewed after running, open in excel..they have output format defined as XML i guess

Excel option is displaying blank Excel in Report output

Hi All,
We have created the ALV report and everything is working fine except the Excel icon in the report output screen. When we are clicking on the excel icon it is displaying the blank excel. In our systems MS Office 2007 has been installed.
Is there any link between MS office version that has been installed in the system and the Excel Icon option in the report output screen.

Please try the following steps:
1. Click on Microsoft excel icon on the toolbar from ALV report.
2. Right click on the toolbar of the excel and select u2018Customize Quick Access Toolbaru2019.
3. Select Trust Centre -> Trust Centre Settings
4. Check u2018Trust access to the VBA project access modelu2019 checkbox in Macro Settings.
5. Save the settings and rerun the report.
You should now be able to see data in the excel if you click on the Microsoft Excel icon on the toolbar from the ALV report.

Export option in KE30 Custom report

Hi All,
We have custom reports in KE30 and when we execute them the output is getting displayed. But for few users they are getting the option to export the data into file in the Menu options (Report -> export) but for few it is not coming. Any idea ?

Those users might have no authorization for export option.
Check with your basis people,they can give these kind of authorizations for layout and export options.

EBS 11i custom report format in Excel

We have developed Oracle EBS 11i custom reports in PDF / Text output format for a Customer. Now, the customer wants all of them to be converted into excel format since they want to do some data manipulation on the output. Are there any tools / utilities to quickly take care of this conversion?
The output has to look like an authentic excel file with proper pagination / headers etc. Any help is appreciated.

Customizing Print Options for Webi Report

Scenario:
Environment: BO Xi R3.1
Webi report having around 10 tabs in a Single report and all report tabs are built on 1 query.
Requirement
1)Need to have print pop up box which will give the same functionality as Office tools to the end users.
i.e., need a way to bring the Java Report Panel (Edit mode) print dialog box to the DHTML (View Mode) so that End Users have more options for printing.
2)Need to have an option to print report tab selectively.
3)Need to have an option to print reports for multiple filter selections.
Any pointers, suggestions to the above requirement are of great help.
Appreciate, if the Specific SDK class details are also mentioned with any possible options.

The form is where I concatenate the SQL that is the record source of both the report and the subsequent record updates. So the form is always open before the report is opened (that is where the code to open the report resides and is run), and it must remain
open while the report is open to maintain the value of the variables, including the WHERE clause of the SQL statement that will be used for the posting process when the user closes the report. That is, the SQL used to open the report MUST match the
SQL used when posting the records, or the user could change some selection parameter and post records not on the report.
And I open both the form and report modally to prevent a user from inadvertently running the report's Close event outside the context of the form, with its variables all set for the posting process.
I know I could pass all of this to public variables, but I am trying to keep it as clean and as close to the Form -> Report -> back to Form as I can.

Custom report to get MD04 but for n materials

Dear All...
Do you know if already exist a report that show same information than the MD04?
Is needed to put several material numbers and get the MD04 information to can do sorts, filters, download to excel.
Is like the MDLD transaction but instead to print it, have the ability to save it in a excel file.
The Idea is to have a customized report that can be run by 1 or more materials and show like a "photo" on how is MD04 now.
Have you a case like this?
How I can create that report?

BAPI_MATERIAL_STOCK_REQ_LIST gives you all data of MD04.
MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API is a FM that is called inside BAPI_MATERIAL_STOCK_REQ_LIST and returns only details of a element (when you click magnifying glass icon in MD04).
You should test both FMs in SE37 transaction providing it a material and a plant(optional), and check what import data you need.

This is a little example of the FM call.
Note that function modules only receive a single material, so in your report you must call the function as many times as materials you have and store return items in internal tables before you display them.

I am not seeing export to Excel option in SharePoint 2013 survey (even in the overview view mode)

If anyone could point me in the right direction as to what steps to take to enable the export to excel option in a sharePoint survey list.
all other surveys are showing up that export to excel option.
I am not seeing the view dropdown as well which shows up on right (the only way to create new view is through the URL as of now)
Constraints
Survey already has several responses now so making a new survey is not an option
(I know that when is any custom view is changed to default view and if Overview is made as the default view again this option goes away, but how to get this export to excel option back?)
Steps taken till now
Checked in SP designer as to which field is set to default and it shows overview as the default.
Checked whether any web part was closed and it seems there was none else closed web part category would've shown up
Saved the existing survey as template both with the content included and without the content (without the content template has the export to excel option showing up)

Create a simple list and hit export to excel to create owssvr.iqy file
Open that file in notepad
Collect Survey list' GUID and View GUID from SPD. You need to change the pointer to test list to survey
Change list GUID and view Guid

Handling DST in SQL Query for UCCX Custom Report

We wrote all custom reports for one of the call centers using our UCCX deployment. One problem we see we will hit in the future is DST. We suggested they use UTC but they wanted to see the call data based off of EST timezone. Right now we are okay because we use -5 to get the correct data but come March we are wondering how to address the issue. What options do we have? How are other people handling DST with the SQL queries for custom reporting? I see that the HR client will determine this based off of the local computer time then gives you the option to use UTC. We have all of our queries in an Excel document that the customer just needs to open and select Refresh All to update their data.

"case-when" statements are evaluated in order.
so you must do something like this:
SELECT
CASE WHEN <is not number>THEN 'N'
CASE WHEN <is greater than 0>THEN 'Y'
Now "<is greater than 0>" will always have number for input, can't get "not number" error there.
