MSA 4.0 Development

Question

Hello Experts,
I have moderate development knowledge in CRM MSA 5.0, which is based in VB.NET framework.
Currently I am working on CRM MSA 4.0 and I need to enhance some functionality using MAS. Since this is VB based, there are some differences from version 5.0.
Can you please guide me how to approach the development e.g. UI development, generation, testing, debugging?
If you could please share some documents on this, it will be relly great and helpful for me.

Hello All,
Thank you for all of your help.
I stopped the MAR central service and restarted the Visual environment. It worked.
Now I will be starting the actual development. Before that MAS generation settings are important. I have put the generation settings below.
Please let me know whether this is correct. I want to generate with generate all option to check whether everything is fine before starting a change.
