whethere the websphere support the msaccess database or not Check your code:
Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:odbc:yourDSN4MSAccess","","");
You shouldn't meet too much issue since most of MSAccess connections're using jdbc odbc bridge.
can u tell me which driver will support for connecting msaccessHXTT Access is a type 4 JDBC driver, but it's a commerical package.

  • J2ee agent 2.2 configuration problem with Websphere Portal 5.1

    Hi,
    I am trying to configure j2ee agent 2.2 with Websphere Portal server.
    I have followed the document "Sun Java SystemAccess Manager
    PolicyAgent 2.2 Guide for IBM WebSphere Portal Server 5.1.0.2"
    Please see the thread "Problem with Sun's SSO system and Websphere Portal Server integration" for environment related information.
    Also the security on app server has been enabled and is talking to LDAP.
    My aim here is to enable application server (portal server) to autheticate requests.
    I am getting following error when I log into the portal application.

    From whatever analysis I have done so far, I believe this issue is related to the personal certificate for sun one webserver (on which access manager & LDAP are installed) not registered with the application server (portal server).
    I am not sure about the way I go by solving the issue.
    Please can anybody help me out.
    Thanks,
    Yaseer

    Although I can get into am console but with https://apollo.maxnewyorklife.com/amconsole
    Tried the same thing, but couldnt resolve it. I will give it another go.
    Generally I am getting same error again and again.

  • Style Sheet Problem with Websphere

    Hello. If anyone here has any experience with Websphere or iSeries, I would appreciate some help. I posted this topic in the Websphere forum , but it seems that forum isn't very active. Anyway, I can't get my style sheet to work with a java servlet application that I installed on an iSeries server. I put together the app and style sheet through WebSphere and exported everything to the server as an .ear file, installed the application and the program works; however, the app isn't accessing the style sheet. I'm new to both iSeries and Websphere. I've been trying this line:
    writer.println("<LINK rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' href='Master.css'>");
    and have tried putting the style sheet in the same folder as the class file, tried putting it in the Java Source folder, tried it all over the place really and have tried making the path absolute. I've also tried pasting the .java file into the classes folder with the .class file. None of my efforts have been successful. Is this even possible? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    have tried putting the style sheet in the same folder as the class file, tried
    putting it in the Java Source folder, tried it all over the place really...In your web application, it should go in the same directory where you would put an HTML file or a JSP file. All those places you tried are places that the web server keeps hidden from clients. You should be able to request the CSS file from your browser in exactly the same way you would request an HTML or JSP file.

  • Class loading problem with websphere 6.1

    Hello
    We have a jsf application that works fine with tomcat as well as jboss. Now we need to deploy on websphere 6.1 and encounter some problem.
    We followed the specifications of this link [regarding jsf and Weblogic|http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21243668] , i.e. made the myfaces jars a shared library (left tomahawk libs in webapp though).
    Now i get java.lang.ClassCastException: javax.faces.component.UIViewRoot incompatible with com.opentext.docviewer.ui.component.toolbar.Toolbar
         at com.opentext.docviewer.ui.component.toolbar.ToolbarTag.setProperties(ToolbarTag.java:66)

         at com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.filter.WebAppFilterChain.doFilter(WebAppFilterChain.java:118)I wrote a small jsp page that showed me the clasloader order of the class javax.faces.component.UIViewRoot and got this:
    System path
    Webapp path
    * bundleresource://31/javax/faces/component/UIViewRoot.class
    * wsjar:file:/E:/shared/myfaces/myfaces-api-1.1.4.jar!/javax/faces/component/UIViewRoot.class
    So somehow there is a "bundleresource"?
    I changed the classloading mechanisms accoording to the link mentioned above, but now i run out of ideas :-(

    Hi Per,
    Is this a reproducible exception? Looking at the source code, it comes from an impossible place:
    try
        // commit logic
    catch (RuntimeException e)
        log("CoherenceRA: Commit failed:\n" + getStackTrace(e));
        rollback();
        LocalTransactionException lte = new LocalTransactionException(e.toString()); // line 37!!!
        lte.setLinkedException(e);
        throw lte;
        }As you can see, the NPE on line 37 could only come as a result of the "e == null" condition, which would be against the "catch" contract.
    I wonder if you run any profiling, debugging tool or AOP framework that "instruments" the resource adapter code and causes an NPE in a place that cannot throw it?

    Hello,
    Sorry... I don't have an answer to your question... :(
    However, I just started trying to figure out the FedEx Web Service stuff. So far, I haven't gotten very far. I've got AXIS and some ShippingService code downloaded but can't seem to figure out how to implement or test it... or any service. Have you found or got any basic Java code that connects to the endpoint and sends a request?
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Guillaume,
    I have been "playing" with section you mentioned since yesterday, but I could reach my goal :(
    An example of the problem is as following:
    Manager 1 is added to both “Project Managers” and “Resource Managers”. Accordingly he is added to “My Projects” category permission.
    Manager2.TeamLead1 (not a descendent of Manager 1) is added to only “Project Managers” and accordingly he is added to “My Projects” category permission.
    I want (Manager2.TeamLead1)’s projects to viewable only for his Manager 2 (and the Director), not for Manager 1, because the Manager1 is not responsible for managing his work
    How can I achieve that ?? :)
    Thanks,

    i have also installed ibm http server(ver 6.0.1) but i am still not able to find that file .i chose the web server as ibm http server and apache but in both cases it is showing this problem.
    thanks in advance.

    So are you seeing this error when accessing only HFM? Do you have planning or Reporting,does those work fine? Provide more details like what documents have you followed.If you disable SSL does it work?

  • Integration with Websphere 5.0 (EJB 2.0) problems

    Hello all,
    Although a bit new to JDO, I have been trying to integrate Kodo 2.4 with
    Websphere 5.0 (using EJB 2.0).
    I have been basically binding a PersistenceManagerFactory into JNDI via
    start-up servlet, however got the exception bellow when I tried to create
    PersistenceManagerFactory (in setSessionContext of the EJB).
    <i>JDOFatalInternalException: Could not perform automatic lookup of EJB
    container's javax.transaction.TransactionManager implementation. Please ensure
    that you are running the application from within an <b>EJB 1.1</b> compliant
    EJB container, and then set the
    com.solarmetric.kodo.ee.ManagedRuntimeProperties property to the appropriate
    value to obtain the TransactionManager.</i>
    The reference to EJB 1.1 actually scared me a bit. Does this imply that
    Kodo (2.4) does not support J2EE 1.3?
    Would you know how to set the
    com.solarmetric.kodo.ee.ManagedRuntimeProperties to make it work with WSAD
    5.0?
    Thank you,
    Petr

    Petr-
    Is the integration with Websphere 5.0 application server officially
    supported? Has anobody (that you know of) done it successfully yet?Yes, we do have reports of people using Kodo successfully from within
    Websphere. However, it should be noted that it is not as rigorously
    tested internally at SolarMetric as some other application servers (E.g.,
    JBoss and WebLogic). In short, integration is known to work, but it
    might be a little more rough around the edges than for other application
    servers (as shown in our misspelling of Websphere's TransactionManager
    implementation name).
    How do I tell Kodo to use existing Datasource managed by app server?You can have Kodo use a named DataSource by specifying the
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionFactoryName property (see
    http://www.solarmetric.com/docs/2.4.0/docs/manual.html#javax.jdo.option.ConnectionFactoryName).
    This is often more appropriate for applications server usage, since it
    allows you to configure pooling and other information from within the
    application server's centralized configuration.
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionDriverName=COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionURL=jdbc:db2:snetWhat kind of driver is COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver? The DB2
    configuration we use for testing with IBM's drivers is:
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionDriverName=COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.net.DB2Driver
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionURL=jdbc:db2://SERVER_NAME/DATABASE_NAME
    They shouldn't behave differently (I am guessing that the app driver is
    a type 2 driver or something), but it might be worth a shot to try using
    the net driver. If this fixes the problem, please let us know, because
    it will indicate that Kodo has a deficiency with one of IBM's drivers
    that we should look into resolving.
    Since I have been trying to integrate with App server, this is the
    initialization code that I use to bind PersistenceManagerFactory to JNDI.
    You may find some funny stuff there.The binding code looks fine, and you are obviously able to retrive the
    PM and start persistence operations. Note that you should also be able
    to deploy Kodo as a Resource Adapter (which allows Kodo configuration
    through the centralized Websphere configuration interface). However, I
    doubt this is part of the issue.
    So, in short, I recommend trying the following things:
    1. Using the ConnectionFactoryName to use the DataSource defined for the
    appserver, on the off chance this will fix it.
    2. Using the net driver instead of the app driver.
    3. Seeing if it will work with javax.jdo.option.Optimistic set to false
    If none of these work, please let us know, and we will continue to
    investigate other possible solutions.

    Hello Marc,
    Very good guess. Pretty much the same code worked well without App server.
    In that case, there obviously was no magic related to
    TransactionManagerFactory initialization (see bellow).
    Is the integration with Websphere 5.0 application server officially
    supported? Has anobody (that you know of) done it successfully yet?
    How do I tell Kodo to use existing Datasource managed by app server?
    Here is the basic configuration (URL, class, etc):
    javax.jdo.PersistenceManagerFactoryClass=com.solarmetric.kodo.impl.jdbc.JDBCPersistenceManagerFactory
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionDriverName=COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionURL=jdbc:db2:snet
    javax.jdo.option.Optimistic=true
    javax.jdo.option.RetainValues=true
    javax.jdo.option.NontransactionalRead=true
    We use DB2 Version 7.2/Version 7.1 FixPak 3 for Windows, in case it helps.
    Since I have been trying to integrate with App server, this is the
    initialization code that I use to bind PersistenceManagerFactory to JNDI.
    You may find some funny stuff there.
    The new EESimpleConfiguration(true) construct seems to (by default) read
    the kodo.properties file that is part of the project.
    EEConfiguration conf = new EESimpleConfiguration(true);
    conf.setManagedRuntimeProperties(\"TransactionManagerMethod=com.ibm.ejs.jts.jta.TransactionManagerFactory.getTransactionManager\");
    conf.setManagedRuntimeClass(\"com.solarmetric.kodo.ee.InvocationManagedRuntime\");
    EEPersistenceManagerFactory pmf =
                        new EEPersistenceManagerFactory(conf);
    InitialContext ic = new InitialContext();
    ic.rebind(\"KodoPMF\", pmf);
    Thank you,

    Petr-
    It looks like DB2 doesn\'t like our attempt to close the connection
    without a rollback or commit. This is odd, since we have never
    seen this happen in our stand-alone DB2 tests. Can you let us know
    the connection details (driver, connectionURL, etc)?
    In the meantime, one possible workaround may be to turn off
    optimistic transactions (since this will cause the PM to
    only use a single Connection); can you try to specify:
    javax.jdo.option.Optimistic=false
    Also, have you tried to run this code in a non-managed environment
    (e.g., outside the application server)? I would be interested
    to know if it is related to running within an appserver.

    Hi,
    I have my cJSC project working fine with JNDI on my local sun app server. However when deploying to websphere I am getting problems.

  • Problems with MyFaces on WebSphere 5.1.1

    Hello!
    I want to run MyFaces 1.1.1 on WebSphere 5.1.1 but have problems.
    The Application is not even starting.
    The MyFaces website sais that it runs with Websphere 5.1.2...
    Is it right that MyFaces does not run with WebSphere 5.1.1 or is there any
    trick?
    Thanks!

    Miikee_,
    When them put version 5.1.2 is because of WSAD not for WebSphere AppServer.
    Just for a test try to do what is in the link: http://wiki.apache.org/myfaces/Websphere_Installation.
    I really wont apply this in my production environment, because of a possibility of contract in changing WebSphere default libraries.

  • Problems using SessionBroker with WebSphere

    Hello!
    I have some problems using a SessionBroker with WebSphere 5.1. In our project we use Entity Beans with BMP and everything works fine as long as we use a ServerSession. But when I use a SessionBroker instead, even though it wraps only one session, I get a NullPointerException every time I try to access an Entity Bean. See the stack trace below.
    It is important for our project to use multiple sessions and relationships between objects coming from different sessions in the next stage of the development
    By the way: The server session uses the appropriate external transaction controller, i.e. oracle.toplink.jts.was.JTSExternalTransactionController_5_1
    Thanks in advance for your help!

    Unfortunately there is no way to do this in 9.0.4. This has been fixed in the 10.1.3 preview release, in 9.0.4 you will need to create your session broker in code to work around the problem.
    If you require sessions.xml support for this in 9.0.4, please contact Oracle support.

    I think the installation of planning on Vista is difficult. As some of the files doesn't support even i am tired of doing that.
    But tell me one thing have you installed all other products , I mean Essbase, (server, client) , AAS and Shared services.
    Are they working good .
    I have formatted my system to XP and installed everything , but the problem is when i install planning it prompts me that IIS 5 should be greater other wise EPM will not install...
    there are lot of things with planning 1) i can't datasource as it is not highlighting when we configure with Shared services
    2) It does not create product instance .
    If any one can fix this thing by giving me a suggestions.
    Advance Thanks

  • BOE XI 3.1 + SAP Integration Kit on AIX 5.3 with WebSphere 6.1 (SOLVED)

    Hi everybody!
    On a recent installation I encountered a problem with SAP Integration Kit using BW Query with prompts; I want to share with you what I did to solve this problem:
    First of all, the environment:
    IBM Server with AIX 5.3
    BO Repository on DB2 9.5
    Application Server IBM WebSphere 6.1
    BOE XI R3.1
    Crystal Reports 2008 SP1
    After installing and configuring everything on the system, I encountered some problem launching in InfoView reports created with Crystal Reports 2008 based on BW query with SAP Prompts.
    The error that I recieved everytime was:
    com.sap.mw.JCO.$Function
    What I did to solve this was:
    1) Configure the absolute complete classpath inside the Application Server (path/sapjco.jar)
    2) Put the sapjco.jar version 2.18 at 32bit (unix version) that you can download at  https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000463654&
    Hope this helping you
    Bye
    Andrea

    Dear Gurus,
    The issue I am facing is described exactly in the document "Upgrading to CR 2008 V1 / SP1" by Blair Wheadon.
    The problem occurs when installing CR2008v1 and BOE 3.1 on the same machine.
    The solution is to download and install SP1.
    Unfortunately for me, I have downloaded SP1 but the installation is not going well.
    Message prompts that installation files are corrupt and that I should download again.
    I have downloaded twice. And tried several times.
    So I guess it might be due to the platform.
    But why wasn;'t the message displayed after BOE3.1 installation was completed?
    Do you guys have an idea?
    Alice

  • There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running, please exit and try again. (4:4)

    Trying to open a streamed PDF in an IFRAME in Internet Explorer 9 on my Win7 64bit machine.
    This results in the following dialog:
    There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running, please exit and try again. (4:4)
    The PDF is streamed (not read from disc) from a servlet in our Java WebSphere environment and the call looks like this:
    https://intranetserver.com/myapplication/OpenDocumentServlet.pdf?documentToOpenID=1
    The Servlet sets content-type header application/pdf and content-length and writes the bytes to the buffer.
    Does the error dialog even come from Acrobat? When the dialog opens there is no active AcrReader process visible in task manager.
    Please advise!

    I don't know what acrofix.exe is; can you explain?
    Issue
    Nothing happens when you launch Acrobat 30 days after installing a CS6 suite.
