MSI B75A-G41, Cannot restart computer

Hello,
Whenever I restart my computer (both by pressing restart button on the case and restarting from Windows)
it won't start. It hangs right after powering up showing black screen with letter + number in the bottom right corner (only A2, [B, C, D]+something if I remember correctly).
Any help would be appreciated.

  • Where is the BIOS chip located on MSI B75A-G41

I need to replace the bios-chip on  MSI B75A-G41. Anyone know where the chip is located?

I thought the BIOS would be the chip with the red dot on it like on other MSI MBs.

  • Cannot connect to USB3 on MSI B75A-G41

    Hi everyone.
I built my first computer 2 weeks ago and was very proud when it kicked in om my first boot. Everything seemed to be working just fine, but then I found out that I have no connection on my USB3 ports.
I have two on the chassi and, obviously, two moore at the back of the chassi (on my motherboard).
None of the ports are working, and they dont have any voltage either (the controle lamp on my card reader doesn't light up like it does if I plug into USB2, since all USB2 ports are working).
I have tried to reinstall my drivers, both from the cd and from downloads at the Internet but nothing changes.
No indication in the device manager that there are any problems.
As far as I can see the USB is enabled in BIOS.
Do you have any suggestions on what else to do or have you heared of the problem elsewhere?

  • Bluetooth non-responsive, cannot restart computer

I have a bluetooth wireless mighty mouse that I use on my Macbook Pro. When I put my computer to sleep and wake it up without the mouse within range, the mouse gets disconnected but I cannot turn bluetooth off or fully restart/shut down my computer. For example: I was using my computer last night with the wireless mouse. I closed the lid before I went to sleep. I brought the computer to class and opened the lid and the computer read "device disconnected." I tried to turn off bluetooth but I couldn't and when I tried to shut down/restart the computer it always gets stuck on the screen that shows just prior to powering off. Is there something I can do besides disconnecting my mouse manually whenever I finish using it?

    Hi,
Can you access Windows Recovery Console by tapping away at f8 as you start the notebook?

  • Cannot restart computer without 10 to 20 BSODs ever since I upgraded to Windows 8.1

    Hi,
I have a Samsung ATIV Book 8 laptop (2013 model). It has been working great on Windows 8.
In May, I upgraded to 8.1 and restarting has been nearly impossible ever since. I can leave my computer in sleep mode for days and come back and it would work. However, if I shut down/turn On or restart, I would get 6-20 Blue Screens Of Death that would
take 10 to 30 minutes and only after that will the laptop finally turn on.
The BSOD errors I get are usually in this sequence: (Driver) IRQL, Bad Pool Header, Bad Pool Caller, System Service Exceptions and Driver corrupted Expool.
It looks like a driver issue but I ran all driver-update tools out there and made sure my devices are uo-to-date (except for the Intel Sound Card for which I get a BSOD whenever I try to install the driver for it).
Is this definitely a driver issue and nothing more?
Could it be that some of my Hardware still doesn't an 8.1-compatible driver?
Is there no way to override the BSOD other than keep restarting?
And finally, is there no way to revert to Windows 8? (Never had a BSOD on windows 8).
    Thanks
EDIT: here is a minidump zip file: http://1drv.ms/1rltlC5
These are like 10 minidumps with the latest having (should have at least) data from the driver verifier I used.

  • Random lines around screen and then cannot restart computer

I'm having an issue with my iMac. recently i i will turn it on and after a while there will be random lines across my screen in certain windows. when I move the windows around the line moves with the window. as i open other apps i start getting other random lines in other parts of the screen. after a little while longer there is so much random pixels all over the screen that I cant work anymore. at this point hte computer is basically stuck and I cannt do anything. I will then hold the power button down to turn off the computer. when i turn it back on I get the black screen of death which says I have to turn the computer off and turn it back n. if i keep turning it off and on it wont start and give me the same screen. if i wait a couple of hours and start it back up it will first give me the screen again. the second time it will start and tell me that mac unexpectedly shut down. at first the technicians told me that I should reformat the hard drive and I did that. is still have the same problem. does anyone have any idea what this could be?

If the message you're getting is in several languages, that's a kernel panic. Kernel panics are usually, but not always, caused by hardware, with memory a leading cause. If you have a mid-2010 mini, you can easily reseat the memory (remove and reinstall) .... mini's prior to that are a bit more involved to open the case.
See this FAQ on resolving kernel panics.

  • MSI B75A-G41 Bios update

hello, wanted to ask about bios should i update them or its not necessary when my PC works fine. Downloaded live update 5  and it says that current bios version is v17.1 in website saw that there is v17.8 . When scanned with live update it didn't found any MB updates. So any suggestions?

Never use Live Update! It is known to try updating within Windows that often ends with a bricked board. If you have no issues there is no need to update.
If you want to update to the latest bios (which is 17.8):
    >>Use the MSI HQ Forum USB flasher<<
A.) Download the attached archive and place it on your desktop. Do not decompress.
B.) Download and install the Forum flash tool.
C.) Insert your FAT32 formatted usb stick.
D.) Make sure that all win 8 options are disabled. (Fast Boot etc) Also make sure the legacy USB is enabled.
E.) Start the forum flash tool and select option 1. Then point the tool at the compressed archive we downloaded earlier. Then to your USB Flash Drive.
F.) Boot to the USB and follow the directions. MEMTEST is included with the forum flash tool and it is recommended to run this prior to any flash.

  • G4 MDD, EM "Startup Disk is Full, cannot restart"

    Hello, all.
So I have a G4 with two hard drives(PowerMac G4(MDD) 2x1.25GHz).  I was loading some music via a flash drive and an error message popped up that said, “Startup disk is Full”.  I have two hard drives, one is running 10.4.9, the other was running 10.5.6.  I was working in the 10.5.6 drive when I received this error message.  I decided that since I received this EM and was experiencing other problems with this drive, that I would reformat it back to 10.5 and update it back up.  When I put in the install disk and tried to restart, I got the following Error message, “Startup disk is full, cannot restart computer”.  I tried a couple of times and cleared most of the junk off of my desktop, but still had the EM.
So I figured since I have two drives, I would manually turn off the computer and restart it in target mode to load the 10.4.9 drive.
With the install disk in the computer, I turned off the computer, and guess what….now it won’t turn back on!  So apparently, the EM(“Startup disk is full, cannot restart computer”) was true and now my Mac won’t even turn on.
Colour me dumb, but I was hoping that someone may have run into this before and might know of a fix to get it back on. So at least I can manage the damage.
I started searching through the archives and found that I may be able to turn it back on, with another Mac(Kinda like a Jump start), but I am not familiar with the process.
Has anyone ever experienced something like this?  Does anyone have a suggestions on how to proceed?
    Any help is appreciated.

You held down the C key when you tried the installer disc?
Have you tried starting in Safe Mode?  This may temporarily clear enough files to allow you to do a quick clean.

  • Cannot access to any site with ssl connection and fail to open safari and keychain, unless restart computer and login in with Guest account.

when Update to 10.7.2 ,I cannot access to any site with ssl connection and fail to open safari and keychain, unless restart computer and login in with Guest account.
    OS:10.7.2
    Macbook Pro 2010-mid 13inch

I also have the same problem, however if I use Firefox or Opera sites with ssl connection work fine. Still, I can't use Google Chrome (ssl), Safari (ssl), the Mac app store (generally), or the iTunes store (generally). Both the iTunes store, Safari and the app store won't respond, and Chrome displays this error: (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT). The problem persists regardless of what network I'm using. Also, when trying to access the keychain or iCloud, the process will not start (will hang). I didn't have these problems at all before updating to 10.7.2.
Sometimes rebooting helps, and sometimes not. If the problem disappears by rebooting, then it only lasts a few minutes before it reappears. It is very frustrating, especially since there doesn't seem to be any obvious or consistent way of which to fix it.
    I'm also using a Macbook Pro 13-inch mid 2010.

  • Yoga 13 SDXC Card Shutsdown Computer and it cannot restart with card installed

    Hi,
I have read on the forum that people are using the SDXC cards with their Yoga 13's.
I have purchased a Sandisk 64Gb SDXC ExtremePro card but when I put it into the Card Reader a blue screen comes up saying " Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart." It also gives and error with this message saying: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (TosExt.Sys). It cannot restart again until I remove the card, the same thing happens in SAFE MODE also or if I try to start the computer with the card inserted already. The card is brand new and I bought it in a reputable shop. I have tested the card in a Lenovo ThinkPad X230 and it works fine. I have also tried to insert a different standard SD card into the Yoga but the same thing happens. I have reinstalled the driver for the reader but the problem still remains. The OS is Windows 8 64 bit. The card is in ex FAT format and I re-formatted it again just to be safe but still no luck.
I was not able to find anything regarding this online but saw that some people here have similar problems.
I would really appreciate if someone could help or at least let me know if there is a way of contacting Lenovo about this problem, I see that they will only accept emails regarding the ThinkPad product line.
Thank you in advance and best regards to all!

I have also problems while inserting a sdcard but not on a Lenovo. I just give here what I observed but I have no direct solution
    1. I bought last year a Samsung chronos and it was impossible to put a sd card. Each time I get the blue screen with the message page_fault_in_non_paged_area (tosExt.sys). When I contacted Samsung they of course do not understand and suggest that I reinitilize completely the computer which I did. At this moment it was possible to insert a sd card without problem but as soon as I have installed my usual sotfwares it came back to the same situation : impossible to put a sd card.
    2. I bought meanwhile a second computer, an Asus Zen book, and got exactly the same problem. Both computer are operated under windows 8 but the upgrade 8.1 does not change anything.
    3. the only way I can read a sd card in both these computers is to use a USB adaptor. In this case there is no problem.
    4. I recently bought a Yoga pro 2 from Lenovo. Surprinsingly with the same kind of sofware installed, I can use directly a sd card.
This seems to be a tricky problem

In case anyone has had the same problem as me, I have just managed to fix this by doing the following:
    Switch off Mac
Switch back on in Safe Mode (Hit power button, then hold Shift key until a loading bar appears at the bottom of the screen).
    Switch off Mac again
Remove power cord and wait 15 seconds
Plug power cord back in and hold down the keys alt, cmd, p, r all at the same time until you hear Starting chime for a second time and hopefully your audio will back.
