MSI GT683 graphics card lagging GTX 560M

Okay, so i bought my GT683 back at July 2012.
a month ago, my laptop started having BSOD, i went to the MSI store and have them check my laptop, and they fixed it, they said that the RAM was causing the BSOD and they put in new RAM.
When i got my laptop back, the graphics card started to show bad performance.
Even NBA2k13 runs very badly, which is a game that should be running real smooth on my specs.
I even lag on GTA San Andreas.
What do you guys think is the problem? You guys think i need to go get my laptop and bring it to the MSI store again?
Thanks
and oh yeah, when i click on the Turbo, it doesn't light up too, even though i installed the updated driver for it..

  • New graphic card Geforce gtx 750 ti failing on Hp pavilion H8-1010be

    Hello
So i Got a new gigabyte GV-N75TOC graphic card for my Hp pavilion h8 1010-be. When I boot it up i get the intro blue screen and that's it. i hear a single beep, another after a while and then a series of short beeps and a black screen. The fans are running of my graphic card, I did plug it in. When i reboot with old graphic card all works, so didn't pull anything out by accident. The power is also higher on my pc then needed for the graphic card so this should be fine. I did try uninstalling current graphic card drivers first but this didn't help.  It actualy sounds exactly like this http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware/Problem-installing-a-new-Video-Card-on-HP-Pavilion-HPE...
I was wondering if you could provide me with anymore direct help then talk to producer, which i have sent a tickit to aswell.

  • HELP why wont my msi z97 gaming 9 mother board find my msi N770 graphics card ?

have built a new gaming PC from scratch based around the MSI Z97 gaming 9 motherboard and the MSI NVIDIA GTX 770 graphics card i have installed all the drivers for the mother board and everything seems to be ok i have then used live update to update all the drivers and bios.
i then installed the graphics card and it powers up and the fans start but my pc isn't recognising the fact that is exists helps please

Recheck your WiFi Bluetooth expansion module connection on the board.
Recheck your MB mounting in the case, i.e. errant standoffs. Perhaps test the board outside the case on a non conductive surface to ensure no potential short exists. Then retest with the WiFi plugged in.

  • 2009 Mac Pro upgrading graphics card to GTX 680 mac. What is the best version of AE and PP and OSX to have?

    Hello,
    I have a 2009 Mac Pro 4.1
    Mac OSX version 10.6.8
    Processor - 2 x 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Memory - 24GB
Graphics Card - ATI Radeon HD 4870
I use After Effects and Premiere Pro daily for my work. I am not too technically minded. I want to update and improve my machine as much as possible and am thinking of buying an SSD drive to replace my current start up disk. I also am thinking about getting the GTX 680 mac version graphics card. I have read many online discussions regarding OpenCL and CUDA, many discussions with mixed feelings about the improvements the 680 gives an older Mac Pro - some people say it is amazing others say the improvements seem minimal or worse.
What I want to know is if I purchase the SSD and 680 graphics card what is the optimal OSX - 10.8 or 10.9? and what is the optimal versions of AE and PP to have - CS6 or CC? Also what settings and what additional drivers would I need to consider?
I contacted an independent authorised mac reseller and he thought it was a bad idea to put a new graphics card and get the latest OSX in an old machine and tried to sell me a used 2010 Mac Pro, but I think it would be more cost effective to get the SSD and 680 instead, it's just I read the occasional horror story on a forum and I worry about making the wrong choice, I rely on my Mac Pro to make a living!
    Thanks in advance

Thank you for the valuable information Eric, I think I will go with the 680 but I understand that it wont be fully utilised on my old Mac Pro.
Perhaps I will replace my startup/applications hard drive with a 480GB SSD. My other 3 bays are full with 3 x 2TB Hard drives that have media on them so I have no spare room for a dedicated SSD drive for AE cache. But could I put a 250GB SSD into one of the PCI-E slots using something like - SSD SuperSpeed Upgrade Kit for Apple Mac Pro 2008 2009 2010 2012 | eBay
Would this be my best solution? Is it a relatively simple installation, does anyone have any experience of a similar setup?
cc_merchant, thank you for the reply, I am aware you have to pay monthly payments for CC, that is no problem.

  • Problem with upgrading Graphics Card from GTX 635 to GTX 960

    Greetings,
I'm new to upgrading hardware in computers but have decided that I wanted to upgrade my graphics card in my HP Envy 700 - 329 (Nvidia GTX 635) to an Nvidia GTX 635. The only problem is I have never opened a computer and have no idea what cable to put where or how to take my old Graphics Card out to put my new one in, and I'm very worried because I might mess up.  Is there any video tutorial/ guide out there that is convinient to my desktop for me to upgrade?
    Thanks,
    Marwan
P.S. Is the space in the Envy 700-329 large enough for the GTX 960?

    Hi there
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, both from other users, HP experts and other support personnel. I understand that you are looking at upgrading your internal video adapter from a Nvidia GTX 635 to a Nvidia GTX 690. I am happy to help with this. FIrst thing, you must be aware of before you buy any video adapter upgrade, is the power requirements of the card, the recommended minimum output for the computer's power supply,  the size of the card, the required expansion slot type, and the type of power connectors that must be available for the card from your system power supply. Starting with a comparison of the card you have with the one you are thinking to install:GeForce GT 635 (OEM) Specifications - www.geforce.comBus Support - PCI-E 3.0 Height 2.731 inchesLength 5.70 inchesslotWidth SingleMaximum Graphics Card Power (W)  35W GeForce GTX 690 Specifications - www.geforce.comBus Support - PCI Express 3.0Height 4.776 inchesLength 11.0 inchesslotWidth Dual-slotMaximum Graphics Card Power (W)               300WMinimum System Power Requirement (W) 650WSupplementary Power Connectors                Two 8-pin Your computer has the following:
Power Supply Internal Total wattage: 460W  - too lowDimensions: 150mm x 140mm x 86mm (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches) I have highlighted the items you will need to be aware of in red, before trying to install this card. Because the stock power supply is 460W, it will also need to be replaced, because the card requires that your power supply meet a minimum output of 650W, and that power supply needs to also have two 8-pin supplementary power connectors. I included the dimensions of your current power supply so you have a guide to the type of space you have and form of the power supply to help with finding something that will fit in that space. Also I highlighted the fact that the card you are looking at is significantly larger in all dimensions, so you can make sure it will fit inside the case or have an idea of what cabling may need to be moved, and because it is a dual-slot width, it may block another slot on your main board. Because of all of these issues you may want to consider talking to a local computer tech or a tech savvy friend to help you with this, and maybe save some money as well. I did not include the instructions on how to replace the card itself, because of the other issues, which you will need to check on first. I hope this helps, or does not confuse the matter more, but reading your post I realized you were probably not aware of these little roadblocks.

  • Upgrading graphics card problem, GTX 660, IPISB-CH2 Motherboard

I want to upgrade my graphics card from a radeon 6850. I have a 600W EVGA PSU. My motherboard is a ipisb-ch2 (chicago). Yes it is
According to this website: http://www.pc-specs.com/mobo/HP/HP_IPISB-CH2_%28Chicago%29/1627/Compatible_GPUs, the GTX 660 is compatible. However my gigabyte  GV-N660OC-3GD card does not work.
I get single beep after seeing the HP screen and that's it. Yes it is connected correctly. Is this computer simply impossible to upgrade?

    Hello @Ticklebumps,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
I have read your post on how your desktop is experiencing an issue with upgrading the graphics card, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
Since you mentioned that the power connections are properly hooked up between the graphics card and the power supply, I recommend removing the GPU and search for any potential BIOS updates for your computer. This can be done by following this resource on Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 7), as well as Updating the BIOS.
If the GPU is still not recognizable by your system, then the card is likely not going to work.
    I hope this helps!

  • MSI GT627 - Graphic cards

Could a GT627 support nvidia geforce GTS 160M? or could anyone tell me what other graphic card can i support? Some say MXM-III allows 9800GT/8800GTX, 9800GTS, 9800GS, 9700GTS.

Be aware, not all of OEM designs based on MXM are really following standards, also no one can assure you that the thermals of the laptop will be really enough for the new VGA generation.

Of course, end users have always wanted user upgradable graphics, but MXM is not intended to be an enabler for end user upgradable graphics. The fact is that defining a module specification like MXM isn’t the only thing that’s necessary to deliver upgradable graphics. The chassis, the thermal solution, and many other factors are at play.

  • MSI GT683 -Graphics problem = computer fried several times

    hello..
first i would like to say sorry for my bad english.
i brought a MSI GT683 for little over 2 years ago because i wanted to play D3. the first 3-4 months i was playing battlefield3 because d3 was not release yet and the laptop was working with no problems. when i startet playing diablo3 i startet to experience hard FPS drop. from runing 100+ FPS it would drop to 5 fps for 10 secs every minute. after 2 weeks the laptop just shut down and i sent it to repair shop. they told me the grapiccard was fried. so after 1 month i got it back and began playing D3 and it worked fine for 2 weeks until it startet FPS drops again and 2 weeks later the laptop shut down again and again i sent it to the repair shop. and they told me the grapiccard and memory was fried. when i got it back 1 month later i decided to not play diablo3 again (what actually was the reason i brought the laptop) after the insurance ran out i fear to play games with average grapic
i have never had an MSI before this. but i used so much money on this laptop so its hard for me to see my little brothers  6-7 year old  computer runs better than my expensive laptop.. this expercience with MSI gaming laptops has really disapointed me because my friends said i should buy an MSI because they where build for gaming.. i feel i have paied 1500 euros to play league of legends
does anyone with the same laptop (MSI GT683) have had any problems like that ?
    Regards
    Daniel
    a dissapointed gamer :(

If you have reason to believe that the repair center did not repair or diagnose the laptop properly, then you have the full right to claim the repair under warranty even when Warranty is expired, up to 6 years after Purchase in Europe. The issue however is, that 6 months after purchase the burden of proof lies with the buyer.
In other words, if you can proof that the problem with your laptop is not caused by you(mishandling, user error, etc) then the retailer has to take it in for repair under warranty.
So the question is, have you been using the laptop on surfaces that it is not intended for? IN example, are you using the laptop on your bed, your lap etc while its venting and heating ports are closed off? Thus not allowing any fresh air to come in?
Have you meddled with the fan speeds of the laptop?
Edit : Take in mind though that this EU directive is very hard to proof and stores, unless you literally press them with a copy of said directive, will try to get out of it and even if you show them directive they may still opt to go with the countries sales of goods act.
edit 2 : The directive in question is 1999/44/EC.

i installed windows 8 on my laptop the problem i have is that even when im not playing games the temp of the graphics card is 72c laptops is very warm at the bottom and the load is 98% the laptop is very loud. when i have windows 7 on it i didnt have any heating up temperatures. can someone help me out plz. thanks

Have you checked the "Details" tab on the task manager for the CPU usage? (I suppose the "98% load" refer to the CPU, right?) You should see only "System Idle Process" using more than ~5% CPU when idle.
    Which laptop is it?
    Have you installed/flashed the latest drivers/EC fw/BIOS for w8?

  • MBP - graphic card lagging strangely

    Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. So please bear with me and help me if you guys can.
Here's my prob: I have a mbp (december 2007). Never had any probs with it before. I started playing prototype a few weeks ago and then yesterday, the game started lagging badly. It was running fine before then. I have played a lot of other games before on my mbp and they all worked fine.
Didn't install any new software. I run the games on an XP partition. Everything (programs, movies, etc..) else works fine. anything in Windows and OS X. I don't have any games in OS X to try but my guess is that any graphics intensive kinda game makes the card go awfully slow. All the games were working fine before but whenever I tested any of the other ones (apart from prototype - e.g. the sims3) there seems to be a lag in movement. There are no glitches or anything weird on the screen. It's just like the speed has been dropped.
There is nothing weird with the temperature, CPU, hard drive or RAM from what I can gather from Task Manager.
    Please help me out,
    D
ps: sry for double posting this on the Bootcamp forum. Didn't know where was actually the most suitable place to post

Since it's an application specific issue and specific to the current update you're more likely to find useful information here:
    http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/board.html?forumId=11111
There used to be an option you needed to manually change in the WoW config file to bump up your frame rates, but I'd thought they fixed that. Unfortunately I don't play WoW on my Mac anymore so I don't remember what the change was. That forum should have more information and/or be a better place to post your problem so the devs can investigate.

  • Graphic card lag. Quaddo Fx 4500

Ok let me describe the system ... G5 Quad 16Gbs of Ram ... Xraid configured in Raid 50 configuration NVidia Quadro card ...
When running demanding 3d Games and program the card seems to LAG . yes you heard me right .. frames are being displayed late and makes it look like the bus is running out of troughput which for this type of setup seems totally weird to me.
Running the system on the internal drives on the other end seems to solve the problem altogether but i think some attention shall be devoted to the problem. This is the type of configuation where bus throughput is VITAL for 3D applications.

The raid is configured as follows :
4x500gb on each bays as a raid 5.
Raid 0 part handled by apple disk utility but the drive does not seem active at all once game is loaded.
I looked hard but the drives dont seem to be active while playing (16gb of ram is more than you need to load a game that is top side about 4gbs). I have called Support on the matter and it seems part of the problem is the video card per se. Nvidia card and 30 inch screens dont mix too well (native resolution of the screen asks a LOAD of the GPU , native resolution is not the one you use to display stuff but the physical screen resolution).
The provocative mix raid 50 plus high native resolution screen brings the GPU to its knees bus availability taken by the card does not help along as well.
I have been using a Radeon card with my previous machine , a dual and always gave a beating to Nvidia from **** and back .
So it seems the quad while a GREAT machine for calculus still has to be refined as far as card support lies . I hope ATI will come up with a X800 or X1800 for PCIe mac users . That should make the problem go away.
(Sorry nVidia fans but the the bare fact is the cards i have been using from nVidia MOSTLY under performed an ATI at every single point , i have been testing from both companies as they put them to market. In each of my machines since the G4 came out and still finished preferring ATI for gaming or 3D).
