MSI Radeon 3850 OC Edition driver problem

Hi! I have problem with this VGA. When I try to install driver, or Catalyst controll center downloaded from official AMD page, my computer stops responding. Screen freezes and I can only restart computer using button on my case. It stops responding during installation of the driver while checking hardware configuration. Then, when computer restarts it shows message that there was enexpected error and offers to check solution on internet, but founds nothing. I am using driver which my windows installed (Windows 7).
Also, during work, occasionally, my computer stops during work for a few seconds, then shows message that driver for my VGA stopped responding and everything backs to normal.
I tried testing card with 3d mark
1280x1024
1920x1080
CPU is Intel C2D E7200
Any help? Thanks!

Remove current vga drivers with >>Driver Sweeper<< in Safe Mode,
then install msi vga drivers fro CD or from msi web page.
If problem persist, read >>Posting Guide<<

    Ive been using 3dmark to benchmark my system. I recently doubled my RAM from 8gb to 16gb. Corsair Vengence 4gb for all four sticks. after upgrading for some reason 3dmark11 is saying that my 7950's drivers are not approved for the benchmark.

  • MSI GT70 0D Dragon Edition 2 problem

    Hi. Im having a problem with my 2months old gt70 0d laptop "dragon edition 2".
    When playing league of legends the screen goes wierd, pixels showup with wierd colors, lines also, the whole screen goes crazy, it can be stopped with swapping from 1920*1080 to lower res and back but it won't fix it totally, after some seconds / minutes it comes back.
    Also my power button constantly switches from white to orange on windows and it didn't do that for first month or 2.
    I'm thinking if my gfx (780m) is somehow broken? laptop is barely 2months old, i have tested almost all nvidia and intel graphic drivers but none of em fixes this.

  • Msi Radeon x1300 pro, TV-out problem

    Hello
    First of all, here is the driver version: 6.14.10.6583
    Even if I check Force TV detection the card never detects the TV.
    I have a laptop with the ATI Radeon IGP 320M and have been able to use tv-out with the same cables, tv, etc, no problem.
    Is anyone experiencing the same problems?

    Seems that some of users are having troubles of installing new drivers for NX7600 display adapter. Only drivers supplied with install cd will work with this card. Any other drivers, including MSI’s wont recognise the card.

    I´ve being requested to force install Nvidia drivers, but  since i have owned several NVidia (TNT2, Geforce 2 Gts, Ti 4800, Fx5900, 6600gti) display adapters, and NEVER i havent had to force install ANY drivers, i am wondering why i have to force install drivers for this display adapter? Why is it so with the Msi? I hope that this product isn´t that bad. 
    By the way can i have instructions for force installing drivers, if i have to do it. I hope that Msi will give drivers that will work with this card.

      Yes, beta drivers worked for me also! It seems that Nvidia has some sort of bug in it´s latest official forceware release, it does not recognise 7600gs agp display adapter. But i think and hope it will be fixed in future release, before that i have to use beta or the older drivers supplied with msi card. Thanks Yoppy  for the tip! By the way you reported that you have video problems with beta drivers, i dont have such problems, div-x and every video file has worked fine so far! So you have to wait for the next release of new drivers.

  • MSI nVidia GeForce 4200 TI driver problem

    Hi.. I really need your help guys..
    First of all, I have Windows XP Pro.
    Okay, I have this MSI nVidia GeForce 4200 TI card, and wanted to change drivers.
    I had 50.xx, and wanted to change back to 40.xx, because it works better with Counter-Strike.
    So, I went into Device Manager and went into the video card properties -> driver.
    I pressed the 'Uninstall driver', because you need to uninstall the newer driver if you want to install an older driver.
    Then my computer restarted, and when it was booting, a blue screen or something came up, with text about my computer was deleting and scanning some files(?).
    I don't know what it was uninstalling excatly, but when I got into Windows I had to use a 'VGA driver' or something..
    I tried to install the 40.xx driver, double clicked the Setup.exe but when it was begining to install this error came up: 'An error occured while launching the setup. (0x80040702)'.
    I don't know what it means, but I can't install any drivers for nVidia?!
    I tried the Device manager, and I can't update the 'VGA' ..
    It's like my computer isn't recognizing the card or something.. I've tried 'Add new hardware' and everything.
    Please help me!

    Generally for nVidia drivers for the VGA, is what I explained above by going to Add Remove programs in control panel and look for the entry for nVidia display drivers.
    Since you are asking me this, I fear you may not be at the experience level required to do this as it can be somewhat of a nightmare if all the drivers are not removed completely. This is what you just experienced.
    Look at the top of this forum and you will se an Important thread called driver cleaner, by Bonz and then the one above it by me. Go to the DriverHeaven Website and download the DC utility but make sure you read EVERYTHING and understand it before you proceed. If you are confused or not comfortable, then I suggest finding someone that is experienced enough to do it for you.
    It should be pretty straightforward.

    I am using a t400 2767 and installed windows 7 from msdnaa. Even though i tried pretty much every driver from the internet, the build in radeon mobility 3470 just wont work. The system manager keeps saying there is an driver issiue and is unable to start the device.
    So i hope i get get some help here, which driver should i use and how exactly do i install this driver?

    Just load the Lenovo driver package.  I had to load it twice. THe Lenovo package is tuned to the switchable graphics in the stinkpad.  If that doesn't work, you might try setting discreet graphics in Bios (I presume you are on switchable now) and try then.

  • MSI GT70 2OC Realtek audio driver problem

    Hi,
    I am having MSI GT70 2OC-065US. I am using Roccat Kave headphones. Headphone is real 5.1 surround one, hence it comes with four 3.5 mm audio jacks. It used to work well and there was sound from each speaker. But since I have upgraded to latest sound drivers provided on product support page, my rear speakers have stopped working. If I exchange the jack with some other then they work, but speakers which are plugged in rear jack don't work. This means new drivers have probably disabled my rear jack.
    Kindly suggest a solution to this problem.

  • MSI 975x Power Up Edition + OCZ Problem

    Don't know if this is a common problem because I found some informaton about it yet I found no solution...
    I got 2x2GB OCZ Reaper X memory:

    I have the following motherboard marketed as supporting 800mhz 2gb sticks and up to 8gb:

    The problem is I was working with 512mb*2 corsair memory and decided to give a bit of an upgrade so i got that memory. And the motherboard won't post, it stays on for a few seconds and just turns off and on again.
    I can't figure out the solution I tried putting voltage as high as 2.4 and manually inserting latency.
    I really don't know what to do and I would really like to make them work.

    Hey there,
    Noticed that my BIOS drivers were outdated so i updated them (Z68A-GD65 G3, version: 25.8), after all the reboots i logged on my computer, started teamspeak, and while searching for the teamspeak room the driver problem happened again.
    Anyway, my power supply is NOX Hummer 80 600W, model: HUM80600.
    The problems started on September of this year i think? I've had this computer for almost 3 years now. I have the latest Nvidia drivers, and this still happens, i've tried downgrading, fresh installing, and nothing worked.
    Graphics card: MSI GTX 670 Power Edition 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 DirectX11, S/N: 602-V284-02SB1207063830.
    I'll try it tommorow if possible.

    The Problem is that when i start the computer, it boot and die directly no bootscreen what so ever, it boot and die.  i dont know what to do plz help me

    Make sure you have Both the ATX Wires on.. theres the Big one! (21Pins i think).. and the Small 4Pin Connector both need to be connected.. if you havent done so yet.. Another thing you could do is Take everything out and place it on a cardboard or something appropriate for the mobo.... I think your motherboard is shorting?.. if it's touching your case.. I had somewhat the same issue long time ago.. give it a try..if you want hope it helps..

    Well, after looking around the forum here I found an answer that works! I wish I could remember who to give credit too though. I installed the latest Vista drivers and I got static all the time. I tried another members suggestion of disabling the X-Fi device in the Device manager every time I log off and then enable the X-Fi the next time I log in. I have great sound as long as I do that. Also, for connecting to a home system I am using the DTS-60, $00 on this website, but it works well if you havea DTS decoder. I am using the X-Fi extreme Music edition. Good Luck, hopefully another driver is on the way.

    I just bought (from eBay ) a Powercolor HD Radeon 3850 AGP. When I removed my old GeForce 7600 GT and put it on the system didn't start. No beep, no display signal. The D-Bracket was stuck on Processor Initialization stage (11 RED,12 GREEN,21 GREEN, 22 RED). I tried quite a few stuff, like bios upgrade, bios agp settings but same **it  . Please help. Thanks.

PSU is a Thermaltake Xaser, I don't remember its Wattage, I bought it back in 2004. Maybe 450W?!..Does the Radeon require more power than the 7600GT?They have the same power connector. Do you think anyway that such a new AGP card like Radeon 3850 would work without any tweaks on my system?? I have been reading about the AGP voltages and I am quite confused..My mobo has 1.5V for the AGP but I think I read somewhere that the latest AGP cards work on 0.8V...

  • ATI Radeon 9000 IGP Mobile driver doesn't have hardware acceleration

    I installed the xf86-video-ati package and I don't get hardware acceleration. Glxgears gives a painful 80 FPS rate and nothing 3D intensive works, neither 480p/720p youtube videos. Also, it seems that the current drivers identify the card as 9100 instead of 9000, but I know that it's 9000 for sure. The laptop that I'm running is an old one, Compaq Presario R3000 with the Intel CPU.

    You have to get an app to do this, luckily I found this...I
    use it for my other monitors -  2nd Screen Saver runs an independent screen saver on the other screen(s)!
