MSI won't warranty MB with faulty capacitors

Has anyone else experienced this dealing with MSI ?
We sent back 3 P4 socket 478 MBs (well under 2 years old) to MSI as all 3 had bulging / leaking capacitors and the systems were rebooting by themselves or locking up all the time doing a simple thing like opening up Notepad. All 3 boards were in systems in different places, healthcare facility, nursing home and call center and all in good, clean environments.
The problem of bad capacitors on MBs is well documented and very well known now.
However, we got all 3 MBs returned to us without repair. When queried about this, MSI's responses were (summarised) :-
a) "The faulty is considered to be CID (customer induced deficit)." (word for word, grammar mistakes included)
and
b) "Warranty is only limited to those capacities without physical/appearance damage. "
MSI will not warranty those MBs.
Now, how is this (a very well known issue with these capacitors) :-
a) the fault of the customer
and
b) how can you limit the warranty to capacitors that don't show signs of physical damage ?????
We have dealt with Intel, Gigabyte and Asus and all have replaced MBs still within warranty periods that have the same blown capacitor issue. This is the first time we have come across a manufacturer that refuses to warranty their boards on this very well known and common problem. On top of that, to give us the responses above !!!

Up until a month ago, I could still purchase MSI socket 478 boards from Ingram.
The way I look at it, EOL or not, the boards are still under warranty and I would have thought that Ingram or MSI would be obligated under the law to honour that warranty. They cannot hide behind excuses like :-
a) "The faulty is considered to be CID (customer induced deficit)."

b) "Warranty is only limited to those capacities without physical/appearance damage. "
