MSVCR100.dll

Im getting this error because there was a bug in the flash player plug-in and it kept my cam from coming on so I deleted it thinking I could just reinstall the flash player.When I tried to reinstall I got the error (This program can not run because the
MSVCR100.dll is missing). Almost everything that involved this issue I fixed through windows program capabilities. All the issues were all flash player issues nothing else. The only thing I cant fix is IE. It will not even open and I do not get a error message
when clicking it.It just simply does not open. Im sure this is the issue. I have tried all the visual C links from microsoft and my pc says Im running a new version and it will not download. I dont use IE much but the fact Im missing a dll file has me concerned.

Hi
You can reinstall Visual C++ again and see if it fixes the problem.

  • Illustrator CS6 64-bit dvaui.dll and msvcr100.dll crashing problem, any solution?

    First things first, trying to find a tech support Email address or phone number has been infuriating.  The "3-step support wizard" which results in "go to the forums" is also infuriating and insulting.
    I have a Windows 7 64-bit PC running CS6 64-bit (updated/current), and it's crashing at random (2-3 times per day).  I see events recorded in the event log showing dvaui.dll and msvcr100.dll as the source.  Other people have raised this as an issue, and all I see are guesses.  Does Adobe have a credible solution for this yet?
    I've tried running as a domain admin, which did not help.
    Illustrator CS6 32-bit seems to be working perfectly (4 days straight, no crashing).
    It seems to currently affect only one computer (5 others are fine).  It's not repeatable, and has no discernible cause.
    Also, format and reinstall is neither a solution nor an option.
    To be honest, I'm looking for Adobe to address this directly: do you know why this is happening, and how long until it is solved?  If an Adobe tech support will open a case, I have a file that the designer (I'm not the designer) was using during one of the crashes.  I don't know if the crashing will be related (to the file), but I have the file just in case.
    David.

    Hi Larry,
    Thank you for responding.
    > CS6 is current in that it is still available for purchase and in the CC but it is now two versions behind.
    I'm not quite sure what you are trying to say.  Can you be explicit, please?
    > As to your problem have you tried downloading the .dll files from Microsoft and reinstalling them?
    I have copied and re-registered the DLL files from a known-good machine (that is to say that the machine doesn't exhibit any of the symptoms as the above machine), which did not help.
    I'm really interested in having Adobe respond directly to this issue.  I know they are aware of it.
    It's clear that Adobe doesn't actually want to support this program, but people rely on it for their economic success.  Both my client and his employees need this program to function properly and reliably, and I think anyone would agree that it's reasonable to expect that a problem like this (that affects more than just us) be, at a minimum, addressed.  Adobe has my client's money, they had no problem accepting it.  With that acceptance comes a duty to be responsive.
    Thanks,
    David.

    Vielen Dank!

  • InDesign CS6 Crash MSVCR100.dll

    Same issue as this thread:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4432510#4432510
    Our company has purchased Adobe CS6; For our environment, our users are standard, locked down users with no rights to install software; On both of our Windows XP SP3 and Windows 7 64 Bit Enterprise machines, we have 1 drive split into 2 partitions; The C: drive is the main partition where all software is installed and a user has read only access to this drive. The D: drive is the second partition that the user has full rights to. Additionally we use redirected profiles through citrix profile manager to a shared server - app data and temp, along with other folders are redirected.
    Had this issue since we attempted to install this for users. We already per other threads figured out the issue with Photoshop (temporarily give user admin rights, change scratch disk from C: to D:, then take away admin rights); The issue that has been around since is with InDesign - the only one we have this issue with. When I try and run the program as a standard user, the splash screen will come up and then crash (on both Windows 7 and Windows XP SP3); The resulting error is an AppCrash with Indesign.exe, referencing module MSVCR100.dll;
    If the user has administrative privileges, it works;
    If I were to create a local user account with standard privileges, it works;
    Nothing else works - below is a list of what we have tried that failed;
                    Running in design on Windows XP SP3 (no changes);
                    The rest were all done on a Windows 7 64 Bit machine:
                    Giving user admin rights so that it could open, then turn off the welcome screen with InDesign; Taking away admin rights (so does not appear to be               the welcome screen that is the issue);
                    Running in compatibility mode as Windows XP SP3, Running as administrator, and running with a combination of both;
                    Giving Full access to the C: drive as modify for a user
    We cannot in our environment give users administrative access to their PC's for many reasons. That seems to be the only thing that fixes it. In the past we've had similar issues with other products but an update usually will fix this, this is still rather new so an update has not been put out by adobe... so looking for any work around that may actually work as this is a major issue.

    Hi Muntja,
    I have nearly identical enterprise environment, tried all same steps. Dont have a solution for Indesign but still looking.
    With photoshop, while adding/removing admin access works, try instead getting the normal user to hold down ctrl and alt when they first run photoshop.
    This lets them change the scratch file location before photoshop loads and fails, just need to change to a location they can write to.

  • Photoshop CS6 x64 crashes msvcr100.dll

    Hello there,
    I am a bit trouble.. and hurry.
    Currently I work on several giant Photoshop files with 7 to 11 GB filesize.
    Every time I open the files, Photoshop crashes caused by msvcr100.dll
    Strangely, this didn't happen before yesterday as the files had about the same filesize.
    I did a lot of google-research for this error but I only get the info that NIK Software causes this problem.
    But I dont have ANY Nik software installed on my system.
    What I did so far:
    - resetting PS-presets
    - updating Windows, Nvidia drivers and Wacom tablet drivers
    My system:
    Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
    PS CS6 (latest updates installed)
    i7 3930k
    32 GB Kingston HyperX 1600
    Asus P9X79
    GTX 570
    Corsair F GT3
    Thanks so far

    Here's a little more information.
    I just updated the 'faulty' dll by replacing it with a new one. (as recommended in a earlier discussion) -> didn't fix the problem.
    I found out, that it seems to be an issue of Bridge and Photoshop.
    - If I open the file by doubleclicking it in Bridge, Photoshop crashes after it has finished loading the file. (Photoshop wasn't started yet) -> error
    - If I open the file via Bridge CS6 and Photoshop is already started, it crashes as well -> error
    - If I open the file via "Open recent" in PS itself, everything works fine. -> no error
    - If i open the file via windows explorer, everything works fine -> no error
    any ideas what this is?
    I will try Bridge CC. (Luckily I bought the MasterCollection of CS6, so I can download Bridge CC for free)
    Thanks in advance
    Edit:
    Same problem with Bridge CC. Well done, Adobe.

  • Javafx ant task for msvcr100.dll

    I had the problem that the native exe-install package generated did not work.
    As I read in this forum, it is a problem with the Inno Setup tool, which generates a launcher that fails to load msvcr100.dll on 32-bit machines (if no JRE is installed)!
    The workaround (which is also used by the JavaFX Scene Builder) is to add a copy of msvcr100.dll either next to the launcher executable or in the apps folder.
    How can I modify build.xml (I am using Netbeans 7.4) to add this file to the native installer?
    I am trying to add some -pre-jfx-deploy target which adds msvcr100.dll as a resource:
              <fx:resources id="appRes">
                    <fx:fileset requiredFor="startup" dir="${basedir}">
                        <include name="msvcr100.dll"/>
                    </fx:fileset>
                </fx:resources>
    but I cannot get it to work. The file never ends up in the on-click-installer exe.

    Thanks for replying.
    I think you're right about the need to copy the files into the directories that the DMG maker are using.
    The problem is I don't know what directories DMG maker are using as the source.
    For example, if I have a manual.pdf file that I want to copy to a Doc folder (see below), how can I do that?
    My shell script looks like this:
    cp "/Users/ytw/Documents/dev/src/myApp/doc/manual.pdf" "/Users/ytw/Documents/dev/src/myApp/dist/bundles/myApp.app/Contents/doc"Manual.pdf got copied to the app bundle's Contents directory correctly, but apparently, DMG maker is not reading from there OR DMG maker finished packaging before the file was copied.
    - myApp.app
            - Contents (folder)
                    - Java (folder)
                    - MacOS (folder)
                    - PlugIns (folder)
                    - Resources (folder)
                    - Doc (folder)
                            - manual.pdf (file)Thanks.

    FWIW Firefox does seem to work properly.

    The "module" is the Microsoft visual C++ runtime. Something else you have installed has stomped it or it has just been corrupted is my guess. Just download a fresh copy and install it and it will hopefully repair the issue.

    Hi,
    According to your description, I understand that the issue happens to several PCs with Outlook 2010.
    I noticed that you have done several troubleshooting about the Outlook crash issue. I suggest we can install Outlook 2013 in a new computer and check whether the issue happens in Outlook 2013.
    If the issue doesn’t happen in Outlook 2013, please update your Outlook 2010 to the latest patches and service packs and check whether the issue persists.

  • Error: The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing...

    I am trying to install SQL Developer on my Windows-64 laptop. I downloaded the Windows-64 version of SQL Developer from oracle.com, which only comes WITHOUT an included JDK. I installed a JDK separately, but now when I try to launch SQL Developer, I get an error:
    The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
    I went to the Microsoft web site, and a forum indicated I needed to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) to get the dll. I did this, but I still get the same error.
    Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi,
    Are you using Java 7? SQL Developer 3.x support only goes through Java 6 (jdk1.6.0_27 is the latest to date). When playing with SQL Developer / Java 7 on WinXP, I noticed that I had to copy MSVCR100.dll from jdk.1.7.0 to the same directory as the sqldeveloper.conf file. Here is the link discussing this:
    Re: SQL Developer 3.0  and Java SE 7?
    But I recommend just using Java 6.

  • Frontend instance: Hana studio shows up with MSVCR100.DLL missing error

    Hi all,
    while trying to start the HANA Studio on my (newly created, nothing modified) frontend instance for the BW740 Trial I get an error message dialog telling me that MSVCR100.DLL is missing.
    What is going wrong here ? Am I supposed to install this C++ related DLL ? Or is the Windows image on which this installation is based upon corrupted ?
    Any help is appreciated,
    Gerald Sauerwein

    Hi Gerald,
    quick question, which of these two solutions are you using:
    SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP5 incl. SAP Business Objects BI 4.1 SP2 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP7
    SAP Application Server ABAP 7.4 SP5 incl. Business Warehouse on SAP HANA 1.0 SP7 [Developer Edition]
    Both use different Windows images and it help us narrowing down the issue.

    Maybe one you knows how to fix? Or had the same issue?
    Greetings Marvin

    I found another fix, and I wonder why this one is so uncommon, because it worked like a charm for me.
    There is a program called SFC which scans for missing or defective DLL and system files and repairs them. To make it work, you need to run it from the command line in "repair mode" which you can access when booting the pc. Running this program from a normal windows session won't work, because Windows won't have access to all the files.
    If you hit F8 while booting, Windows will offer you some options to continue.
    Choose REPAIR - don't worry, it won't do anything to your Windows installation until you explicitly opt for it.
    Then you can choose your language and you can log in with your account. (Not the $homeusergroup)
    Now click on the command-line icon. It will be opened right at c:\windows\system32
    You can type in SFC /scannow
    This program will search for defective system files and try to repair them. It may also ask for your Windows installation disc, if files are completely missing, but that didn't happen to me.
