Multi developer/workspace projects & deployment

hi im a beginner
I would like to read up about how multiple developers can work on projects involving the same apex application and how they can create a releasable build at the end of the development phase for testing.
at the moment what I dont understand is...
1) can 3 developers work on their own personal workspace to work on the same 60 page application?... do we create one workspace called "development-project-a" with different usernames and build on the single application? ..
1a) if we can work on our personal workspaces how do we merge the application to create a build for test?
2) when the build is complete and deployed to another environment; how can subsequent bug fixes be deployed from development to the test environment (partial or full builds?)
im sure there is a guide somewhere but i cant find one

Simple answer.. You have multiple developers working in ONE workspace on ONE applications. You work on separate pages, locking those pages if required so no one ELSE can modify them.
Nightly you would export a copy of the application to a version control product just in case someone makes a change and it causes damage..
When you are ready to release a product, you export your application and any needed database objects to you test environment and then production. It is NOT advised to try exporting pages when doing changes, it is a better option to export an app in its entirety..

I am using SQL Server 2012 and I have multiple SSIS packages working in DEV.
My aim is to deploy these to File System for execution by a Windows Service application. Should I therefore using the Package Configuration Wizard for storing DEV and PROD server details?

The project deployment model enables you to deploy your projects to the Integration Services server. And there are some features like Parameters, Environment, Environment variables, SSISDB catalog and Catalog stored procedures and views that are available
to projects developed only for the project deployment model.
After converting project deployment model to package deployment model, there are four steps in the package deployment process:
The first optional step is optional and involves creating package configurations that update properties of package elements at run time. The configurations are automatically included when you deploy the packages.
The second step is to build the Integration Services project to create a package deployment utility. The deployment utility for the project contains the packages that you want to deploy.
The third step is to copy the deployment folder that was created when you built the Integration Services project to the target computer.
The fourth step is to run, on the target computer, the Package Installation Wizard to install the packages to the file system.

Is there any difference in developing OSB project by OEPE or OSB console?

As there are 2 ways to develop OSB project, OEPE or Console. What's the difference? Is there anything need to consider between these 2 ways? Thanks.

It depends on various factors as others have pointed out. OEPE is preferred specifically by developers as the weblogic server does not have to be started to complete your design. Secondly, since mostly it is a shared workspace among developers and OEPE has connectivity with Teamprise or SVN or other versioning systems that OSB Console cannot offer. It has a graphical mode to create transformations using XQuery as well which is not there in OSB.
Yet there are other things that OEPE is incapable of, for example - Creating Customization Files, Creating SLA Alerts and such.
It is really your call as to which one to use. But technically, the finished component, be it a proxy service or a business service, is the same, whether you create it on OSB Console or OEPE.

SSIS Project Deployment : Getting error "query the operation_messages view for the operation identifier"

Hello,
I have developed SSIS package and using Project Deployment Model.
I have created a Folder under the SSISDB in Integration Services Catalog.
Then, Right click on the Project folder and Deploy Project, Selected the .ispac file and clicked Deploy.
It gives me below error.
Can anyone please help me on this?

If we want to find more information about this error, we should execute the query below under SSISDB catalog in SQL Server Management Studio, then expand the message column to see the detail error message:
select * from catalog.operation_messages
where operation_id=100155
Generally, the issue always be caused by a timeout for big projects, this is a known issue. The workaround for this issue is create two indexes in the SSISDB catalog to improve the performance. For more details, please see:

Developing Large Projects with JDeveloper

i have 2 questins :
1 - i don't know is it possible to develop large project such as a total system
with about 20 subsystems and 1000 forms and reports with jdeveloper?
2 - we have planed to build a webapp for each subsystem that it contains MODEL and VIEWCONTROLLER project.with this idea we cann't link from one VIEWCONTROLLER to anather in anather project, for example user can not go to another page from anather project without logon again.
now my very immportant problem is comunication between pages in different projectsand maintain different objects such as USER object between pages.
do you think that building such project with only one application with one MODEL and one VIEWCONTROLLER is correct or building it in differt project is better?
could you please tell me that what is your idea to develop large project with jdeveloper?

I want my users to authenticate once, and have access to the subsystems they are authorized for.
but there is a problem in development and that is with this type of large projects you will have in Model Proj. a lot of AM , EO , VO and in View Proj. a lot of JSPX and XML file. and if i make only one App with one Project for Model and One Project for View, during development for example i want work on one subsystem and others on other susystem. and when i change 1 jspx file i should deploy TOTAL SYSTEM with 20 subsystems completely and i think this is'nt strategy for development.
i think it's good to develop any subsystem in one app with Model and View and finally deploy any subsystem separately.

Error while creating the development component project

i tried to create development component project through NWDS which is expected to be used as CallableObject but it gave following exception

Error while building development component project

Hi all,
I have created one webdynpro application in which i am importing javabean model using jars in my build path.I am able to execute that application successfully but when i try to import that application in a new development component project, i am getting errors in my bean class (IPrivateBeanclassname) for some getter setter methods saying the method is not defined....
I have put the same jar in its build path also.
Can somebody please help...

I am importing the application as follows:
1) I have developed a web dynpro project. This project has a jar file for getting the java classes. The web dynpro application works fine.
2) I imported this application into a Development Component Project. Here it fails to recognize the jar file that is required. Even if I put the jar file in its build path, while building, the jar file gets removed.It says java build path errors.

If i remember correct , Installation will ask you for MaxDB user ids , it will give errors latter if you give lengthy user ids ( i think >8 or 9 ) . So try not to give lengty ids also check your host name. Looks like that also too long

Can I develop CF projects using Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP?

I currently develop CF projects using Flash Builder 4.5. I am considering purchasing Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP. Will I still be able to work on my CF projects using FB for PHP?

Because in the installation instructions for FB for PHP it says that you have to uninstall the current installation of FB which I have several CF projects that I use regularly. I hate to uninstall if it turns out that I can't transport my current projects into FB for PHP.
Oh that sux! It's just an Eclipse plug-in, and one can have installed multiple installs of Eclipse OK, so I wonder why they're said this?
OK, because I give suck advice, I'll D/L it and install it on a spare machine and take a look. FB usually has a CF perspective does it? So what you need to know is whether FB for PHP still has the CF perspective?
Or are you asking whether you can install CFB (or CFEclipse) as a plug-in to FB for PHP, like one can with FB?

SSIS 2012 Project Deployment with included EXE application not deployed in Catalog

I have converted a SSIS solution consisting of 20 packages, two exe applications, and a web service to the project deployment model. My question is: where are the exe applications deployed to? I don't see them in the catalog on the server. If I exclude
these from the solution and disable the steps in the packages using them, everything works fine. In BIDS, I can include the exe applications and run the solution locally and it works fine. I have parameters for the path to the EXEs, but when configuring
the path in the catalog, I am unsure what to set it to. Do I need to manually move these EXE applications to the database server separately from the deployment?

You can even put exes as files in file system in a shared folder and access them from packages in catalog. Just pass the paths (UNC) using parameters in package

SSIS Project Deploy issues

I have a weird issue with project deployment on SSIS catalog. (2012)
Everything was fine until yesterday, i could deploy using SSDT or the wizard as well using the SSISDB procedure. (nothing happen meanwhile)
Now none of them are working. I get this error: (i did a lot of google before but without any luck - i saw you can get this error if you dont have install integration service on the machine which is not my case - Everything was running perfect until yesterday)

I have deployed the projects (ispac files) to IS Catalog.
I have deployed using 3 different methods before:
- using SSDT right click deploy
- using Deployment Wizard
- using a procedure which calls SSISDB.catalog.deploy_project
Everything is on DEV for the moment.
Now I want to deploy another project on DEV but none of the 3 methods (which basically use deployment wizard) works. I got that path error.
How can I check if the path is correct?

In this situation what you can do is have a control table that manages this.
in this table there is a row that has a status of ready, or processing. When the status is processing then don't process, when ready start processing.
The first job of the BPEL process is to set the status to processing, when complete set to ready. It aslo means that you have to set some timeout periods so if the process is taking too long it will fail and reset the status, this can be done with pick activities. Also have error handlers in the process fails it will reset.

What DC project are you talking about. You require SAP NWDS to create a DC.

Where to download Developer Workspace SR2 (NW 7.0 Java Trial Version)

Hi together,
I bought a Portal-Developement book with some very interessting tutorials.
For this book the SAP NW 7.0 Java Trial Version (including Developer Workspace SR2 and Developer Studio) is recommended.
Here in SDN I just found SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 SR5. Unfortunately the differences especially in Developer Studio are big (e.g. in the new version there is no possibility to make a quick par-upload).
So where can I find the "old" NW 7.0 Java Trial Version?
