Multi-file python organization

I'm writing a python application with multiple files, and I want to use standard tools with them aka. what is the make+autoconf for python. Any suggestions or resources?

You don't compile python files (it's possible though). If you want to use standard tools, then get yourself a text editor and the python interpreter. A suggestion would be to read the beginner's tutorial at python.org

Well you must have made a mistake somewhere. The last instruction of step four reads:
When you've found your iTunes library folder, drag that folder to your external hard drive. This will begin the iTunes backup. The amount of time the backup will take depends on the size of your library. When the transfer is done, your backup is complete and your external hard drive can be disconnected.
Normally dragging content from to a new location on a different drive will result in a copy action which is what you were supposed to do. At a guess you somehow managed to move the iTunes folder. Then when you started iTunes it created a new blank library for you assuming it had just been installed rather that raising a warning.
Close iTunes. Rename the iTunes folder on the internal drive as iTunes (Empty) then copy the iTunes folder from the external back into the User's Music folder. Start iTunes. All should be well.
When you've made sure it all works please read my User Tip and use that method to backup in future. Since you already have a folder with the backup in place you can skip the "Make New" operation in the fourth step and simply choose the external folder.

Bug in Multi-File Search and Replace in RH6?

I'm using the 6.0 trial, and one thing I want to be able to
do is to replace the variables I put in using JavaScript with the
new feature variables in 6.0. So, I went in to multi-file search
and replace, and searched for:

I copied this code directly from a topic, and pasted it into
the Search tool.
I don't even care whether I can successfully copy the code
from my new variable for use as the replacement text; I'd be happy
if the multi-file search would simply find all occurrences of my
original code so I don't miss any during conversion to 6.0.
It keeps coming up as not found, and this concerns me
greatly. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a known bug? Does
anyone have a workaround?

I'm assuming you are using the wondrous little applet known
as Multi-File Find and Replace.
Unfortunately, this little beastie is like a cat. It
frequently has a fussy tummy and loves to hork up furballs. Well,
not exactly. Really what it does is fail to properly handle
anything with a line break. So you need a tool that does do this.
Fortunately, one exists! It is called FAR (Find And Replace). Oddly
enough, it was also written by a fellow Microsoft Help MVP named
Rob Chandler. (Rob lives in Australia)

Problem with Multi File upload example, help needed

I got the code from the following location.....

And I've got it to work to some degree except I cant get the file transfer to work when pressing, Upload.   Below is what my debugger outputs. Any thoughts on how to fix this or even what it means?

Just 2 things in my test:
1) I use no accept attribute. Coldfusion is then free to upload any extenstion.
Restricting the type to application/octet-stream may generate errors. Also, it is unnecessary, because we perform a type check anyway.
2) I have used #ExpandPath('.')#\ in place of #ExpandPath('\')#

I'm working with following blog for file to multi file scenario...

But in Configuration part, I'm unable to find ..TITLE_IDTYPE option for RB_SPLIT.. Screen, there is only two options are available one is Standard and another one is Extended ???!!!
Note : we are using SP16
So, How can I go ahead to complete this scenario ??!!!
Can anybody help me out to complete this file to mulfile scenario without BPM.

Is it possible to export a file from Organizer with the list of all the images in an album?

Is it possible to export a file from Organizer with a list of all the images in a certain album? In filling one of my albums I did not save my edited images to the same file... they are spread out a bit.... Now I want them to make a book with them (outside of Elements).

As far as I know, Elements does not have the ability to create lists.
The solution to your problem of making a book outside of Elements is to place all the desired photos in an Album and then select File->Export->As New Files which gives you the ability to make a copy of every photo in the album in a new folder, from which you would create your photobook.

Multi-file placing order

Whenever I load a couple of images from Bridge to use them with the new multi-file placing 'tool', I never get them in the order they are in Bridge. Is there any way to solve this, so I don't have to flip through all the images (which, unfortunately, goes really slow on my computer) but can just place them without sorting through them first?

Yes, I do mean using the arrow keys. The images are already in the right position when they are in Bridge, so that is really the thing. I thought this new thing would be a time-saver, but everything I have to do extra kind of erases the plus side of it...
Putting them on the pasteboard first isn't any quicker than just importing the images one by one I guess... Anyway, thanks for the effort and if you come up with another solution I'd be happy to hear it!

Automating multi-file Flash using XML file "run list"

I've created a multi-file interactive Flash "demo" for a client. It's very much like a website (though he's not using it as a website) in the way that it is laid out in that there is a main index page which can then direct you to different product categories, which you can click on to see. Each "page" contains product (or product category) information, photos, block diagrams, etc. There is nothing animated in the Flash.
My client also wants to be able to set it up so that the demo runs automatically from a configurable XML file. My ActionScript skills are pretty limited, but I've been able to using ActionScript 3 to load and read the XML file. Using a 'for' loop, I am able to read the XML file and return the path of each Flash file and the duration that each file should be displayed (my client requested that he be able to configure the duration of each page as well).
I've set up a loader for each movie clip and a timer for the display duration. Unfortunately, the thing that is throwing me off is that when I attempt to load the movie clip (as the last item in the for loop), it reads the entire XML file, returns all of the clips and durations (I'm using trace to see this) before it loads the movie clip. As a result, the only movie clip that is loaded is the last one read from the XML file.
As I said, I'm not very good at ActionScript, so everything that I've managed to cobble together has been from internet tutorials.

I removed the timer event because it, like everything else was getting repeated before anything got loaded, so I wanted to figure out out to get the clip loader (mcLoader) to load the movie clip for each file before I figured out where to put the time to ensure that each clip is displayed for the appropriate duration. I suspect that the timer event needs to occur in the 'playClip' function, but would take advice on that as well.

What you need to do in the xml parsing function is to simply store all of the data into an array. You will then use that array one element after another via whatever timer control you set up, accessing each file in the order they are stored in the array. You will not do any loading in that function, just data storage, and when you are done, the last line in that function, outside of the loop, will trigger whatever function you have that will start processing the first item in the array.

RFC to multi file scenario

Hi,
I have to carry out a RFC to multi-file scenario. The requirement is that Error generating on whatever part XI will handle have to be reported. Is this possible in this scenario? What can be the mechanism?
I want to report these errors via a mail to an e-mail id.
Since i haven't done this scenario, i would appreciate if some link for carrying this out step-by-step is given.Also tell me what configuration for receiving RFC has to be done on XI and R/3.

1. If u want to split the file coming from the sender, the u will have to use multi-mapping.

For some reason FCP is now making multi files when I capture called -av

For some reason FCP is now making multi files when I capture called -av
I capture one clip but I get 7 files.

I don't know why this started in recent captures but it is eating up disk space as it is 7 times larger than it needs to be and only the last one works.

Is there a way to get these files to be joined together into one file easily. I capture on a FAT32 hard drive but then transfer the files onto my edit machine and would prefer to keep everything archived there as a single file.
Any programs or scripts that I can use. I have figured out that you can open each file in Quicktime and then save as a self contained file, but I was wondering if there is a better way.

Multi File Find and Replace FAR missing from tools

I have RoboHelp x5.0.2 and I have always used Find and
Replace at my previous employer. I have started with a new company
and the RoboHelp FAR is missing from Tools. I know you can Add a
tool if you know the path, but I have no idea where to look.
Some background:
We use Source Safe (VSS) to check our files in and out.
I have verified that all of the files are NOT read-only.
HELP!!!!

Maybe you are mixing up something. RoboHelp includes a tool
named Multi-File Find and Replace. This should indeed be situated
on the Tools pane.
There exists a tool called FAR, which, among other things,
offers a similar functionality. FAR is shareware and
not included in RoboHelp.
