Multi outs expert opinion please/possible bug?

So i've been tearing my hair out (what's left) over the multi out thing......I know all the tricks....or so I thought.
No matter what I did, no sound would playback (stylus rmx/ultrabeat were tried) I kept checking the environment, just in case there was something I was missing, making sure that I had the output b linked up with aux 3-4...etc etc......nothing.
Then I hit play.......by accident....and they work. bizzare to me!
Is it something I am doing wrong?
Has anyone else noticed this?

Oh man...
You've hit on one of the truly weak points of Logic -- the EASY ability to assign multiple outputs from a multitimbral plug.
1. a key points EASILY overlooked is that your "host" audio instrument has to be set to Channel=ALL.
2. you absolutely must use a multitimbral version of the plugin, not just a stereo version
3. it's IMPERATIVE that you use transformers and/or channel splitters to ensure that the audio instrument itself receives only automation data on channel 1 (or whatever channel your output 1/2 instruments are set for), and that the various Auxes receive only automation data on the channels which are intended to drive their automation.
4. At least in the case of GPO -- and I daresay it may be true for other non-Logic plugs -- you cannot have multitimbral and stereo versions of the same plug in the same song. Particularly if you're trying to automate these plugs, you're in for a bit of an automation/digital noise/zippering/hash/distortion nightmare

  • Neighbor send-label - a possible bug in 12.4(24)T4 and newer

    Dear friends,
I have stumbled across a different behavior of the neighbor send-label in BGP in IOS versions 12.4(24)T4 up to 12.4(24)T6 inclusive, and I wanted to ascertain whether it is a bug or just a new behavior I am not yet aware of.
Consider the following scenario: Router X, Y and Z are peered in BGP according to the exhibit. Router X is in AS 2, routers Y and Z are in AS 1. X/Y are peered using their physical interface addresses, routers Y/Z are peered using their loopback addresses. Each peering is duly configured with neighbor send-label.
The BGP configuration on router Y is as follows:
Y# show run | sec router bgp
    router bgp 1
    bgp log-neighbor-changes
    neighbor 10.1.255.1 remote-as 1
    neighbor 10.1.255.1 update-source Loopback0
    neighbor 192.168.1.2 remote-as 2
    address-family ipv4
      redistribute ospf 1
      neighbor 10.1.255.1 activate
      neighbor 10.1.255.1 send-label
      neighbor 192.168.1.2 activate
      neighbor 192.168.1.2 send-label
      no auto-summary
      no synchronization
    exit-address-family
Router Y is receiving a set of routes from X, in particular:
Y# show ip bgp regexp _2
BGP table version is 22, local router ID is 10.1.255.5

The show ip bgp label on router Y, however, produces rather interesting results:
    Y# show ip bgp labels
Network          Next Hop      In label/Out label
       10.2.12.0/24     192.168.1.2     nolabel/16

       10.2.45.0/24     192.168.1.2     nolabel/imp-null
       10.2.255.1/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/19
       10.2.255.2/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/20
       10.2.255.3/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/21
       10.2.255.4/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/22
       10.2.255.5/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/imp-null
Note that while the routes are being received with MPLS labels, the router Y does not seem to allocate any local label bindings to these labels although all these routes are being further advertised to router Z via iBGP.
On router Z, the results are also confusing. First of all, networks received from router Y are still learned with the original next-hop set to 192.168.1.2 instead of 10.1.255.5 (using send-label on router Y should imply next-hop-self):
    Z# show ip route bgp
10.0.0.0/8 is variably subnetted, 18 subnets, 2 masks
    B       10.2.12.0/24 [200/4] via 192.168.1.2, 00:26:28
    B       10.2.23.0/24 [200/3] via 192.168.1.2, 00:26:28
    B       10.2.45.0/24 [200/0] via 192.168.1.2, 00:26:28
    B       10.2.34.0/24 [200/2] via 192.168.1.2, 00:26:28
    B       10.2.255.5/32 [200/0] via 192.168.1.2, 00:26:28
    B       10.2.255.4/32 [200/2] via 192.168.1.2, 00:26:28
    B       10.2.255.3/32 [200/3] via 192.168.1.2, 00:26:28
    B       10.2.255.2/32 [200/4] via 192.168.1.2, 00:26:28
    B       10.2.255.1/32 [200/5] via 192.168.1.2, 00:26:28
Verifying the show ip bgp label on router Z shows another interesting behavior: although Y has claimed it has not allocated any labels itself, it has in fact advertised the eBGP routes to Z with the original labels as allocated by X (hence highlighted in the previous and current output):
    Z# show ip bgp labels
Network          Next Hop      In label/Out label
       10.2.12.0/24     192.168.1.2     nolabel/16
       10.2.23.0/24     192.168.1.2     nolabel/17
       10.2.34.0/24     192.168.1.2     nolabel/18
       10.2.45.0/24     192.168.1.2     nolabel/imp-null
       10.2.255.1/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/19
       10.2.255.2/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/20
       10.2.255.3/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/21
       10.2.255.4/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/22
       10.2.255.5/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/imp-null
An ironic fact is that on router Y, the labels 16-22 are already allocated for different internal networks by LDP. If router Z uses the labels as advertised by router Y, this will cause the packets to be heavily misrouted from router Y to completely different destinations:
    Y# show mpls forwarding-table
Local  Outgoing      Prefix            Bytes Label   Outgoing   Next Hop
Label  Label or VC   or Tunnel Id      Switched      interface
    16     Pop Label     192.168.1.2/32    0             Fa0/0      192.168.1.2
    17     Pop Label     10.1.255.4/32     0             Fa0/1      10.1.45.4
    18     20            10.1.255.3/32     0             Fa0/1      10.1.45.4
    19     19            10.1.255.2/32     0             Fa0/1      10.1.45.4
    20     18            10.1.255.1/32     0             Fa0/1      10.1.45.4
    21     16            10.1.12.0/24      0             Fa0/1      10.1.45.4
    22     17            10.1.23.0/24      0             Fa0/1      10.1.45.4
So, there are two suspicious facts about the behavior of router Y:
It does not modify the next-hop attribute when advertising the eBGP routes along with MPLS labels via iBGP to another internal BGP neighbor.
It does not allocate its own local MPLS label bindings, rather it simply re-advertises the labels as allocated by router Z, resulting in label value conflicts and misrepresentations
An interesting fact is that after adding the command neighbor 10.1.255.1 next-hop-self to the router's Y configuration, the behavior becomes correct again:
    Y(config)# router bgp 1
    Y(config-router)# address-family ipv4
    Y(config-router-af)# neighbor 10.1.255.1 next-hop-self
Y(config-router-af)# do show ip bgp label
Network          Next Hop      In label/Out label
       10.2.12.0/24     192.168.1.2     24/16

       10.2.255.5/32    192.168.1.2     32/imp-null
    On Z:
    Z# show ip bgp labels
Network          Next Hop      In label/Out label
       10.2.12.0/24     10.1.255.5      nolabel/24
       10.2.23.0/24     10.1.255.5      nolabel/25

       10.2.255.5/32    10.1.255.5      nolabel/32
Router Y is a 2811 currently running 2800 Software (C2800NM-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(24)T6. I have originally came across this behavior with 12.4(24)T4. I have confirmed that this behavior is not present with ADVENTERPRISEK9-M 12.4(22)T, so if this is a bug, it must have been "added" in some intermediate versions.
I currently do not have any option of testing newer IOSes from the 15.x series, as the router does not have the inordinate 512MB of RAM necessary for those IOS versions so I apologize for not testing this behavior on the most recent releases.
Did anyone experience similar behavior? Is this really a bug? Will this be corrected in 12.4T train yet? Thank you for all suggestions!
    Best regards,
    Peter

    Hello Giuseppe,
Thank you very much for your answer. I am not sure I understand it correctly - please let me reexplain my major point and let me ask you for your kind advice.
    Issue 1:
All routers are configured with send-label, neither of them is configured with next-hop-self. Router Y receives labeled BGP routes from router X and the show ip bgp labels displays the following table:
    Y# show ip bgp labels
Network          Next Hop      In label/Out label
       10.2.12.0/24     192.168.1.2     nolabel/16
       10.2.23.0/24     192.168.1.2     nolabel/17
       10.2.34.0/24     192.168.1.2     nolabel/18
       10.2.45.0/24     192.168.1.2     nolabel/imp-null
       10.2.255.1/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/19
       10.2.255.2/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/20
       10.2.255.3/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/21
       10.2.255.4/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/22
       10.2.255.5/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/imp-null
Note that while router Y knows remote bindings for these networks (the "Out label" column), it has not created any local label bindings to these networks (the "In label" column says nolabel to all networks). I can assume that this is done to prevent assigning local labels to BGP routes that may eventually be routed through a different ASBR and possibly misunderstood en route. In other words, the local label binding has a local significance only. If there is no guarantee the packets will go through Y (without the next-hop-self), local label bindings on Y should not be created nor advertised. Am I correct in this line of reasoning?
    Issue 2:
With the same configuration, router Y has advertised the BGP routes to router Z, however, it has retained the same label bindings it has learned itself - i.e. Y has not created any local bindings itself, it just "forgot" to remove the label bindings when advertising the routes to router Z:
    Z# show ip bgp labels
Network          Next Hop      In label/Out label
       10.2.12.0/24     192.168.1.2     nolabel/16
       10.2.23.0/24     192.168.1.2     nolabel/17
       10.2.34.0/24     192.168.1.2     nolabel/18
       10.2.45.0/24     192.168.1.2     nolabel/imp-null
       10.2.255.1/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/19
       10.2.255.2/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/20
       10.2.255.3/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/21
       10.2.255.4/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/22
       10.2.255.5/32    192.168.1.2     nolabel/imp-null
Note that the outgoing labels on Z are exactly the same as with router Y. This is in my opinion a bug. Take, for example, the route towards 10.2.255.2. The bottom label will be 20, the upper label will be a label towards 192.168.1.2. In my particular topology, the PHP will pop this transport label correctly before the router Y, and Y will receive a packet labeled with label 20. However, on Y, the 20 is not a mapping assigned to the 10.255.255.2, as BGP has not created any local bindings itself, and instead, the label 20 corresponds to a totally different network somewhere inside the cloud between routers Y and Z, as evidenced by the following output on Y:
    Y# show mpls forwarding-table
Local  Outgoing      Prefix            Bytes Label   Outgoing   Next Hop
Label  Label or VC   or Tunnel Id      Switched      interface
    16     Pop Label     192.168.1.2/32    0             Fa0/0      192.168.1.2
    17     Pop Label     10.1.255.4/32     0             Fa0/1      10.1.45.4
    18     20            10.1.255.3/32     0             Fa0/1      10.1.45.4
    19     19            10.1.255.2/32     0             Fa0/1      10.1.45.4
    20     18            10.1.255.1/32     0             Fa0/1      10.1.45.4
    21     16            10.1.12.0/24      0             Fa0/1      10.1.45.4
    22     17            10.1.23.0/24      0             Fa0/1      10.1.45.4
So the mere fact that the BGP on Y did not create local bindings is kind of understandable, however, the fact that it retained the remote label bindings as learned from X and advertised them without change to Z is, in my opinion, a grave bug. What is your opinion on this?
    Thank you very much!

    Peter

  • Possible Bug with Drag-and-Drop Being Published via HTML5 - Getting "Undefined" Error When Dragging Object

    Hello,
I came up with a way to use drag-and-drop interactions that will take advantage of file input so that I may create a drag-and-drop interaction that uses one draggable object over and over allowing multiple scoring/tracking possibilities.  Example use...is having the draggable object be dynamic in that it randomly changes its text so that a learner can drag a term it's possible classification.........thus allowing the possibility of having many terms easily loaded without having to redo a drag-and-drop interaction for each needed terms/classifications updates/changes.
My Issue: When using a variable to represent the text for a draggable Smart Shape object, I'm getting the error message "undefined" when, clicking/pressing on the object, as well as during the drag of the object. This issue occurs when publishing the project in an HTML5 format.  Flash interestingly enough seems to work perfect...but we are not interested in publishing via Flash any longer.
To better help you explore this error message, I've set up a test project so that you can see when and how the "undefined" message shows up during a drag-and-drop interaction.  I've also included the Captivate 8 project file used to make the exploration project I'm sharing in this post.
Link to Captivate project I created for you all to explore "undefined" error message": http://iti.cscc.edu/drag_and_drop_bug/
Link to this Captivate 8 Project file: http://iti.cscc.edu/drag_and_drop_bug.cptx
It's pretty interesting how things react in this demo, please try the following actions to see some interesting happenings:
Drag the Yellow (or variable drag box) to the drag target.
Drag Black Hello square to Drag target and click undo or reset - watch the undefined message come up on the Yellow (or variable drag box).
Drag the Yellow (or variable drag box) to the drag target and then use the undo or reset.
Move both draggable boxes to the drag target and use the undo and reset buttons...
Anyhow, I know you all are sharp and will run the demo through its paces.
I'd really be very honored if anyone help me figure out how I could (when publishing out to HTML5) no longer have the "undefined" error message show up when using drag-and-drop with a variable for shape text. This technique has been well received at the college I work at...and I have many future project requests for using such an idea on a variety of similar interactions. I'd love see a solution or see if this might be a bug Adobe may be able to fix!
I tried to find a solution to the issue documented here for quite some time, but I was not able to find anyone with this problem much less attempting the idea I'm sharing in the help request -  save the darn "undefined" message that comes up!
Many thanks in advance for any help and/or direction that you all may be able to provide,
    Paul

    Hello,
I just wanted to supply a minor update related to my drag-and-drop question/issue stated above:
I did another test using Captivate 7, and found that the undefined error (publishing as HTML5) does not appear and the variable data remains visible - except the variable data turns very small and does not honor any font size related settings.
I did go ahead and submit this to Adobe as a possible bug today.
Thanks again for any help related to this issue.  If the issued documented above is solved, it will allow many amazing things to be done using Captivate's drag-and-drop for both regular type projects as well as interaction development for iBooks!
Matter of fact if this issue gets fixed, I'll publish a Blog entry (or video) on way's I've used Captivate's drag-and-drop to create dynamic learning activities for Higher Ed. and for use in iBooks.

  • A possible *bug* in java jcombobox

    Hi all,
I think i found a possible bug in java jcombobox .. i am sure some of you must have already experienced it..
supposedly you put a jcombobox in a jpanel
returned the panel from a method to a calling method..
and that method adds it to another panel that it had created to a frame..
and if this happens dynamicaly at runtime, as only after u click a button..
meaning : without adding the combobox or the immediate parent panelto the contentpane .. directly..
    Then,
your combox's keylistener may not catch events fired.
.. this has happened to me many times.. and always i could only find a way out
.. by adding the combobox to panel that is loaded during startup itself and is
.. not returned through a method call.
    Your opinions please ?
    'Harish.

All components in a UI are created at run-time.
When you create your JFrame you call pack() to align and resize the UI. This validates all the components, and sets the default focus on what ever component should have the focus at start up.
When you create components and add them as children of another component you have to validate the child and parent. This can be done by calling JComponent.validate()
As for keylisteners not getting called, this might be fixed if you call grabFocus on the new combobox. I can't see a reason why any listener would stop working.
For me to really understand what your talking about. I'd need to see source code reproducing this problem.

  • I can't figure out how to report a bug with the Javascript debugger as it asked me to

I pressed the Javascript Debugger button after installing it on my toolbar, and got this message:
An exception occurred while initializing, please file a bug.
    [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004001 (NS_ERROR_NOT_IMPLEMENTED) [jsdIDebuggerService.on]" nsresult: "0x80004001 (NS_ERROR_NOT_IMPLEMENTED)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://venkman/content/venkman-debugger.js :: initDebugger :: line 131" data: no]
But I can't figure out *how* to file a bug. That link really ought to be on your homepage if you want people to do this...

    Please post a screenshot.
Also, try to be as precise as possible in your terminology. When you say "project window," do you mean the Program Monitor? Anyway, I presume you don't mean the Project panel.

  • Left outer join issue, please help

    Hi All,
    My oracle DB : 10G
    I have 3 tables:
    1) w_orders_fs
    2) w_product_d
    3) w_order_f
(Below are the scripts for creating these 3 tables along with data)
    I have a sql which :
    select o_fs.invoice_number
           , o_fs.product_id o_fs_product_id
           , p_d.product_id p_d_product_id
           , p_d.row_wid_skey p_d_row_wid_skey
           , o_f.product_wid_skey
    from w_orders_fs o_fs
         , w_product_d  p_d
         , w_orders_f o_f
    where o_fs.invoice_number = 10
          and o_fs.product_id = p_d.product_id(+)
          and p_d.current_flg = 'Y'
          and p_d.row_wid_skey = o_f.product_wid_skey(+)
          and o_f.invoice_number = 10
which is giving me an output :
    INVOICE_NUMBER|O_FS_PRODUCT_ID|P_D_PRODUCT_ID|P_D_ROW_WID_SKEY|PRODUCT_WID_SKEY
    10|2|2|4|4
    Desired output:
    INVOICE_NUMBER|O_FS_PRODUCT_ID|P_D_PRODUCT_ID|P_D_ROW_WID_SKEY|PRODUCT_WID_SKEY
    10|2|2|4|4
    10|1|1|3|NULL
Now the overall objective is to pull the 2nd record of my desired output, my above query is not giving me this 2nd record since in my w_orders_f table product_wid_skey is not populated(one of the 2 records where invoice number = 10), I am just confused how to achieve this left outer join.
    Please help.
    Regards
    Rahul

    This works:
    select o_fs.invoice_number
           , o_fs.product_id o_fs_product_id
           , p_d.product_id p_d_product_id
           , p_d.row_wid_skey p_d_row_wid_skey
           , o_f.product_wid_skey
    from w_orders_fs o_fs
         , w_product_d  p_d
         , w_orders_f o_f
    where o_fs.invoice_number = 10
          and o_fs.product_id = p_d.product_id(+)
          and p_d.current_flg(+) = 'Y'
          and p_d.row_wid_skey = o_f.product_wid_skey(+)
          and o_f.invoice_number(+) = 10
If you want to outer join to a table, you have to include a ( + ) on each of its columns in the where clause (or cope with them possibly being null). Personally, I find ANSI syntax easier to work with when dealing with outer joins:
    select o_fs.invoice_number
           , o_fs.product_id o_fs_product_id
           , p_d.product_id p_d_product_id
           , p_d.row_wid_skey p_d_row_wid_skey
           , o_f.product_wid_skey
    from w_orders_fs o_fs
    left outer join w_product_d  p_d
    on o_fs.product_id = p_d.product_id
    and p_d.current_flg = 'Y'
    left outer join w_orders_f o_f
    on p_d.row_wid_skey = o_f.product_wid_skey
    and o_f.invoice_number = 10
    where o_fs.invoice_number = 10

  • I need your expert opinion on how to create a map with multiple conditions.

    Hello.
I need your expert opinion on how to create a map with multiple conditions.
I have a procedure (which i cannot import or re-create in OWB due to the bug), so i am trying to create a map instead :-(
How can i create a cursors within the map?
My function creates table and cursor.
Then it will have to check for duplicates in the tables (the one created and another table) - the criteria for finding duplicates is a number of fields.I then need to place few different conditions (if some attributes are not available) and it has to load cursor based on this conditions. The next step is to fetch the data into the cursor based on what attributes are missing.
The next thing it will do is insert the data into table (if record doesn't exist), output the error in separate table is record is corrupted, or update the record with changed information.
In short i need to re-create match / merge but with conditions, iterations etc 'built into' it.
I can read up on available functions - it's just what would be the best options? and what would be the best approach to do so?
In my function i use %rowtype - but cannot use it in owb - so what would be the alternative? i don't really want to create a lot of variables and then have a nightmare of maintaing it. are there any tips regarding this?
having looked through Oracle dedupe - it's not really what i need because it is just DISTINCT.
I would appreciate any help / advise on this.
    Thank you very much

thanks a lot for your reply - i will look into this option :-)
it is a bit more complicated now as i have to re-create the match / merge and then somehow 'tweak' it to achieve the result i need.
At the moment i am looking to breakdown the package into smaller chunks 'functions' and try creating the map that way.
Anyway, thank you very much for your suggestion.

  • Can someone confirm a possible bug with Universal Access?

Can someone confirm a possible bug with Universal Access?
I have a Mac Pro 3,1, 10.7.1 but if you could confirm or not this possible bug with any model.
    In Energy Saver preference pane:
    Set Mac to never sleep.
Set Display Sleep to ~2 minutes.
    In Desktop & Screen Saver:
Set screen saver to start at ~1 minutes.
    In Universal Access:
Check Enable access for assistive devices.
Check radio button Zoom to On.
    Zoom in window not checked.
Confirm that Zoom works by pressing:
    ⌥⌘= (option, command, =).
Set screen back to normal by pressing ⌥⌘-.
Let screen sleep after screen saver starts.
Wake screen and see if ⌥⌘= still works.
    Thanks … Ken

Other than the time intervals (smallest Screen Saver kick-in is 3 minutes), it works fine for me - at least I can still zoom in/out after waking the display.
Tested on two different MacBook Pro models in 10.7.1

  • What are the changes / enhancements / or possible bugs in LR 5 Auto Tone

Can anyone explain what, if any, changes, enhancements, or possible bugs were introduced in the functionality of Auto Tone since LR ver. 5.0. The reason I ask is that I get different results for the Exposure and Contrast adjustments when applying Auto Tone (using ver. 5.3) from the results  (using ver.5.0) shown in the book "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 CIB" in the "Using Quick Develop in the Library module" section, step 4 on page 37. (This difference in results between LR versions was confirmed by the authors of LR5CIB.)

I'm not sure about any new bugs but the radical exposure mis-calculations have been improved. I had photos that were over exposed to 5 (and even 10, believe it or not) that were exposed to a more appropriate 2 or so following the improvements (in Lr5.2 if memory serves). It's also less likely to radically underexpose.
Enjoy, (in my opinion, it's much better)
I think there may have even been further improvement in Lr5.3 but I can't swear to it - seems to preserve a little more contrast than in 5.2 - could be my imagination..

  • Copy and paste adjustment  problem/ possible bug.

    Hi all
I have just encountered a very strange problem/ possible bug.
I have been working on a file in photoshop cs5 that had come from lightroom 5.3. This was then saved (automaticaly becomes tiff file in Lightroom). I then wanted to make some more adjustments to it in lightroom (using local adjustment clarity). I then tried to copy the settings of the adjustment brush  from the tiff to the original raw file. This is where it gets very strange. The adjustments are copied but they are rotated ccw by 90 degrees!  I can replicate this every time.
Could someone else try to see if this problem exists on their catalogs or if its a corrpution problem my end.

    Noted on the bug, thanks.

  • Possible Bug: Migrating 6.1 to 7.0 - Uninstall of 6.1 removes 7.0 services

This is a report of a possible bug. We are migrating from 6.1 to 7.0u2. On our Admin Node, we finished migrating multiple instances from 6.1 to 7.0 so we went uninstalled the 6.1 server components. This uninstall process removed the 7.0u2 services though not the instances from the Admin Node. The configuration folders in the 7.0 folder were not removed so we were able to delete then redeploy the instance. Note that the service name in 6.1 was the same as the service name in 7.0 (e.g. https-xyz). However, we had already used the 6.1 Administration Server to remove each individual 6.1 server prior to migrating the configuration to 7.0.

    sriram.natarajan wrote:
    hi
what do you mean by "removed the services" but not the instances ? The uninstaller for the "Sun ONE" web server removed the Windows Services for the multiple instances that I created for the "Sun Java System" web server.
If I am not mistaken, you probably didn't completely go through the migration log to make sure that what is migrated and what is not. please note that as part of migration all static content files and some other data files are not migrated. you are required to look into the migration log and make sure that you manually move those files into 7.0 location once the automated migration completes successfully. so, if you removed the 6.0 without migrating those static files , then you might see a whole bunch of 404 and other weird errors. Static content files have nothing to do with what I'm talking about. I had a 6.1 installation with a number of "servers" (what 7.0 calls instances). In order to migrate and keep the same service name (e.g. https-xyz), I had to first make a copy of the https-xyz configuration directory, use the 6.1 admin to remove the https-xyz (this would remove the https-xyz service), recopy the https-xyz configuration directory to the 6.1 install directory, then proceed with the automated migration.
for more information, on what is migrated and what not, please refer to
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-2201/gbhfb?l=en&a=view
also ,please refer to the next link on the above pages related to 'files requiring manual migration'Once all my 6.1 instance migrations were complete and all that was left running from 6.1 was the Administration Server, I used the "Add/Remove Programs" control panel to uninstall the "Sun ONE Web Server 6.1" program. This uninstall process removed the Windows services created for the "Sun Java System" web server but did not remove the instances from the "Configuration Store" for the new web server.
Unfortunately, the bug that I am reporting above has nothing to do with "a whole bunch of 404 and other weird errors. "

  • SQLJ Expert Opinion

    Hello,
I need to have some expert opinion the code where I have used SQLJ, whether it is alright or anything to be changed. I use this to fetch results from a remote table and populate in local table in every half an hour.
Thanks and below is my code.
    ***Code**
    public static void getDataLMStation()
    try {
    Oracle.connect("jdbc:oracle:thin:@xxx:1580:xx","xx","abc",true);
    #sql iterator SeatCursor(String LOCATION, String PRODUCT_TYPE,String STOCK_POSITION, Timestamp READ_DATE);
    SeatCursor sc;
    #sql sc = { select LOCATION,PRODUCT_TYPE,STOCK_POSITION,READ_DATE from PORTAL_STOCK@abc};
    System.out.println("sql "+sc);
    while (sc .next())
    #sql { insert into PORTAL_LMINVENTORY(LOCATION,PRODUCT_TYPE,STOCK,DT) values(:(sc.LOCATION()), :(sc.PRODUCT_TYPE()),:(sc.STOCK_POSITION()),:(sc.READ_DATE())) };
    } sc.close();
    Oracle.close();

It looks correct however, i am not sure you can use the same execution context for retrieving data from the iterator and processing the INSERT.
Fwiw, i covered SQLJ 10g in my just released book http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1555583296/

  • Possible bug with iTunes 11 ?? (with Smart Playlists)

    Hi folks
New to Apple Support, but after upgrading to iTunes 11 earlier today (on my Mac Mini) I've discovered a potential bug / difference in the way it operates compared to earlier versions. Can someone else try something similar and see if they get the same result - I think I read somewhere that v11 is not available on Windows yet, so I cant compare what happens there
I've imported all our CD's into iTunes, and we've set up several Smart Playlists (SP). Using the Rating setting for the songs, we can break them up into groups, eg
Rating 0 = not yet processed
Rating 1 = not interested in listening to again
Rating 2 = kids songs (for our children)
    Rating 3 = christmas songs
Rating 4 = songs i like, but my wife probably wouldnt
Rating 5 = songs we both like - good for background music etc
Using Home Sharing to our iPad's rocks !!
    Now, onto the bug.
Using the SP that has just songs with Rating 0, I could play any song, set the Rating to whatever, and naturally once set, that disappears from the SP
In all earlier versions of iTunes, playback would continue with the next song, so I could set that Rating, etc etc. Worked really well to churn through a chunk of songs in say 15 minute blocks
With iTunes v11, playback stops as soon as I set the Rating.
How can you help ?????????? Set up a smart playlist with whatever criteria you like - make sure you have a number of songs returned and ensure Live Updating is set, have a song playing, and make that song no longer valid for that SP. Anyone doing this in earlier versions of iTunes should have the next song begin, and if this is a bug, then those using iTunes 11 will have playback stop
Sorry for the long post, but in order to determine a potential bug, you need to describe the situation and how to test it.
    Thanks for reading
PS I'm on a 2010 Mac Mini with OSX v10.7.x (whatever the current release of that is) and just upgraded to iTunes 11

Soo, maybe it isnt possible bug, but the way Apple have changed iTunes when going to v11. Stooopid
Anyway, found this link about downgrading to an earlier version. I've just completed it and found one or two "errors" in the method, which I'll detail below
    http://www.emacconsulting.com/apple/itunes/downgrade-itunes-11-to-itunes-10-7/
In the latter part of the instructions
    11) Open your iTunes Music Folder.
If you never moved your iTunes folder it’s located here:
    Your HD/Your User/Music/iTunes
Or go to the Finder type:  Command + Shift + G
Paste this into the the dialog:  ~/Music/iTunes
If you moved it to another hard drive, you will know where to locate your iTunes folder.
    12) Open the “Previous iTunes Libraries” folder.
    13) Find the most recent copy of the “iTunes Library 2012-xx-xx.itl” file.
Normally it will the last file at the bottom of the list.
    14) Drag a copy of the file into the iTunes folder.
    15) Delete the “iTunes Library” file.
    16) Change the name of the “iTunes Library 2012-xx-xx.itl” to ”iTunes Library” with no .itl extension.
    In #11, I simply went to "My HD"/Users/"My User"/Music/iTunes
Copied the latest .itl and moved it up a directory level
The old file in #15 is called "iTunes Library.itl" - which I renamed, and renamed the copied version back to "iTunes Library.itl" = though I do have extensions showing, some people may not and hence wont see the .itl
Anyway all is fixed in my world, and when I launched v10.7, it asked me if I wanted to upgrade to v11 - I said No and not to prompt me again. Playcount issue is resulved, as is changing SmartList criteria with playback continuing
Apple - please correct these bugs before releasing any new versions of iTunes... you've made a very large number of people unhappy

  • Printing a ProcessingInstruction, possible bug

We are trying to store a DOM parsed Document in a VarChar2 field in a Oracle 8.1.6 table.
The problems we have are with a processing instruction that looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
The print method of the oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLDocument generates the following:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
Note that the double quote is changed to a single quote. Is this a bug?
We have a nasty workaround included below.
