Multi Period Load using Open Interface Adapter in FDMEE

There was a similar question, but it didn't exactly cover this.   I already have a ticket open with oracle, but I'm hoping someone here can help.
We currently use a Before Improt script to populate the Open Interface Adapter table.  As a simple example, we data from a PeopleSoft ledger for a period to load to our Hyperion Planning system.
The Workbench process works perfectly.  Import for January 2014 grabs the data for 2014 from PS and loads it through.  Ideally we would like to be able to use the Data Load Rule option to execute the process for a range of periods, so that I could reload all of 2014 by selecting a Start Period of Jan 2014 and an end period of Dec 2014.
Unfortunately what currently happens is only the first period is processed despite the range.
I've seen several references to period mappings as possible solutions.  This information was already verified by Oracle, but for the clarification, we've create them and mapped them at an applicaiton level.
Any ideas as to why it would only run the first period of the range?

Just an update:
In order to use the Start Period/End Period functionality, you must specify a source period mapping and define a calendar in the rule.
This issue "partially" solved my problem, however it turns out the BefImport and other Event Scripts only run once for the range.  Using the select query below:
"Select * From AIF_PROCESS_PERIODS where PROCESS_ID = '" + str(LoadID) + "' Order by PeriodKey ASC"
I was able to optain the records containing the periods in the Start/End range, so I was able to just create loops in the BefImport and other event scripts as necessary to mimic the running of the event scripts on all periods in the range.
That said, I still have no solution for executing target application calcs (we have one calc that runs before load to do a clear and another after load that runs an aggregation).
Anyone have any thoughts on how to make those calls loop?  Because the ranges can cross years, I can't just pass the periods to the calc since Jan-FY14 to Feb-FY15 isn't just Jan to Feb and FY14, FY15 (which would only be 4 periods total vs the 14 it should be).
Alternatively, is there an easy way to call a essbase calc script from an event script?

THe issue was that Open Interface Adapter requires a directory to be created on the server and xml file to be placed here.

  • FDMEE: Source Period Mapping in Open Interface Adaptor

    Hello,
I want to use open interfce Adaptor to load data in FDMEE (AIF_Open_Interface) from a Custom SQL Source where periods are in rows and data in last column of SQL table, like
Fyear      period      entity      account      Currency      Data
    2012      1           10000           100022       USD          171778.87
    2012      1         10000           100022       USD           -10343
please suggest, how can i bring this data in FDMEE ?
    Many Thanks !!!

    Hi Ramanujam,
There are 3 methods to update the Calendar or defining the period
E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft calendars have these important elements:
    Calendar—Identifier for a calendar
Start Date—Start date of the period
End Date—End date of the period
Refer the section "Define Period mappings" (Pg 102 - 108) in guide - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E40248_01/epm.1112/erpi_admin.pdf

  • Update supplier bank account details using open Interface

In R12, how do you update/create the supplier bank accounts for existing supplier and supplier site? Is it correct that the bank account details cannot be
imported individually and it can only be imported along with the supplier or supplier site? Please provide the steps if we can update the bank account details (like the import program and all that?)
    Thanks in advance!
    -Shirish

One of the reason of this error is incorrect object_version_number. In API iby_ext_bankacct_pub.update_ext_bank_acct there is a parameter p_ext_bank_acct_rec, in this record type one field is object_version_number. Pass the correct version number which is same as for the given bank account.
Below is the query to find the correct object_version_number --
    SELECT object_version_number
    FROM IBY_EXT_BANK_ACCOUNTS
    WHERE ext_bank_account_id = <bank_account_id>;

  • Use of open interface tables in R12

    Hello,
Can someone tell me the status of using open interface tables in release 12. Is this still a supported mechanism for importing data into the product, or must you use a PL/SQL/Java API, XML gateway etc?
iREP for 11.5.10 lists these open interface tables, but they are missing from the embedded iREP in R12. However, looking in the database for the RA_CUSTOMERS_INTERFACE_ALL shows that the tables exists. Is it supported to still use open interface tables, or are they just there for legacy upgrade purposes? If it is supported, where is the documentation for these R12 open interface tables?
I wish to integrate into various modules using Oracle Data Integrator and it seems to only have 'integration knowledge modules' to support open interface tables.
i look forward to your response.
    Cheers,
    John

    Hi Helios,
Thanks for your response. Two of the links do not work.
All I really need to know for sure is that R12 supports open interface tables.
Perhaps I didn't use the embedded R12 iRep correctly - the standard view by product family certainly didn't show any open interface table, and they did not appear in the 'interface type' drop down list. However, I notice from an example on the web that you can pivot the results by interface type. I will try that when the environment becomes available again.
    cheers,
    John

  • CE Bank Statement Open Interface

    Hi,
I have successfully run the Bank Statement Loader for Open Interface.
Then I run the 2nd step > Bank Statement Import:
    The docs said:
    2. Bank Statement Import
The required parameters to this job are the following:
Bank Branch Name - Provide the bank branch name that you setup in the Bank
    Account Setup section.
GL Date - Although this parameter is not marked as required, the import will
often fail if you do not provide a value for this parameter.  The date must in
an open period in both AP and AR.
Note:  If you have multiple files loaded, but only want to import one of them,
use the Statement Date or Statement Number range parameters to limit the import
    job.
If successful, this program moves records from the
    CE_STATEMENT_HEADERS_INTERFACE and CE_STATEMENT_LINES_INTERFACE tables into
the CE_STATEMENT_HEADERS and CE_STATEMENT_LINES tables.May run request was successful, and I got this logs

  • ESYU: ENCOIN: ECO Open Interface Program 사용시 error 발생 문제

    Purpose
    Oracle Engineering - Version: 11.5.6
ECOs import를 위해 ECO Open Interface(ENCOIN module)을 사용할 때,
Interface program이 아래와 같은 error를 발생시킨다.
    "ORACLE error 6550 in FDPSTP
Cause: FDPSTP failed due to ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
PLS-00201: identifier 'ENG_LAUNCH_ECO_OI_PK.ENG_LAUNCH_IMPORT' must be declared
    ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
    PL/SQL: Statement ignored"
어떻게 ENCOIN: ECO Open Interface program을 사용해야 하는지 알아본다.
    Solution
ECOs를 importing 하기 위해 ECO open interface를 사용하는 것은 권장하지도 않고,
    support 되지도 않는다.
ECO data를 load 하기 위해 ECO open interface를 사용하는 대신 ECO Business Object
    이나 ECO form을 사용해야 한다.
ECO Business Object 사용에 대한 보다 상세한 내용은 Manufacturing and Open Interfaces
    Manual

  • CM Open Interface - reference back to original bank statement line

we are using Open Interface for our bank reconciliation. we found that, the API APPS.CE_999_PKG.clear always send us the Open Interface Transaction amount as the cleared amount, and we have no visibility to the amount in the bank statement line.
    eg:
    bank statement line is $100
if a user manually reconcile this line with an open interface transaction line with amount $200, the status will changed to reconciled and the cleared amount is $200.
the cleared amount passed through the API to our customize program also $200.
how can we get the amount $100?
we are doing some GL posting for the cleared amount. getting $200 will caused us to do over post, as the amount we received only $100 (bank statement line amount)

    Hi All,
I found this article, which explains about the bank statement mappings.
*Mapping BAI2, SWIFT Bank Statement Format Masking: BANK_ACCOUNT_NUM, BANK_TRX_NUMBER, BANK_ACCOUNT_TEXT, Agent Bank account number And Others [ID 752532.1]*
Based on this I defined a new bank statment mapping by coping the existing BAI2 mapping.
The only change I had to do was to change the position of the BANK_TRX_NUMBER to -2 and my problem got resolved.
Below is the question and answer as per the document.
Q2: Why following BAI2 datafile needs bank statement mapping as:
    BANK_TRX_NUMBER 16 -2 and not -1?
    16,581,156500,Z,813009392186700,000000002004/
    A2:
The bank statement mapping you give to populate depends on where the BANK_TRX_NUMBER is in the data file: Example:
Rec 16 structure is as follows:
    16,<transaction code>,<amount>,<funds type>,<bank ref #>,<customer ref #>,<text>/
    In the rec:16,581,156500,Z,813009392186700,000000002004/
while the NUMBER appears to be -1 position however the text is assumed missing here and hence the
    BANK_TRX_NUMBER 16 -2 will work.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Loading bank accounts with invoices using Payables Open Interface Import

    Dear Gurus,
    We are on 11.5.10.2.
We create invoices in the 3rd party system, then load them into oracle using payables open interface import process.
When users create invoices, they choose Vendor and Site first. If the Vendor Site has multiple bank accounts assigned, users may select the one that is non-primary.
When we load the invoices into Oracle, it finds the PRIMARY account for the particular vendor site, and assigns it to the invoice.
Is it possible to load bank accounts assigned to invoices into Oracle AP?
    Many Thanks,
    Iana

    Hi,
No issues for me on Payables Open Invoice Interface with 12.0.6 - and yes make sure you match up the invoice_id on invoice, lines interface tables.

I have tried playing around with the File Adapter and the ESB but not having much luck. Can someone provide any suggestions on how I can handle this?

    James,
Thanks for your prompt response. I have come across your post previously.
Please excuse my in-experience (very new to SOA and Oracle SOA Suite) but i have not understood how your post regarding the manual creation of an XSD will assist with my problem. Could you possibly further elaborate on the overall approach i should be taking?

  • How to update an existing supplier using Supplier Open Interface Import?

    Hi Atul,
    I am using CCM 2.0 and SRM 5.0 (EBP5.5).
We are not using XI, so i guess we cant use the program "/ccm/file_upload".
we have migrated the product master data from R/3.
We have developed a report which takes product category as input and gives out flat file in csv format containg all the items in that prod category.
Then we upload the file in CCM by logging thro the brpwser.
Similarly, i can develop another program which will give me a CSV file foll all those items changed in R/3 in a day.
Then we can upload that file in CCM.
But i have doubt if it will update the existing items in catalog.
Hope I could make myself clear.
    Thanks
    Abhishek

    Hi,
I would be very kind of you if you can provide me with a solution to my question below.
I have a requirement of copying all the cost groups from one inventory org and creating the same cost groups in another inventory org using programmatically. Is there any API or Open interface that can be used to create the cost groups in the new inventory organization? If not can you suggest any other way of fulfilling this requirement?
I would highly appreciate your help.
