Multi Provider Query Problem

Hi Friends,
I was created a new multiprovider which contains two InfoCubes, First infocube contains the Site & Material and second infocube contains only Material, so when i executed the query it is Showing the first cube Values in some rows, after ending the first query values, it is showing the second query values, i am unable to finding the solution.
Plz help me.

Hi,
Check in the multiprovider option if you have selected the material number to match with both infoproviders, in order to do this :
1)Double click in MultiProvider
2)Next
3)Characteristic Tab, click in Identification Button.
4)Check if the material number is selected in both infoprovider

0BWTC_C08 cube, virtual provider Query Problem

Hi Gurus,
Has anyone worked on 0BWTC_C08 cube. it is statistics virtual provider. i have installed it in BW and ran a query on it without any selections, 0TCTIFCUBE in rows and frequency in columns it is returning null data for all the cubes.

Multi Provider BEx Problem

Hi all,
We have created Multiprovider which is made up of stock,sales,production and purchase cube.
All the Cube has 0MATERIAL as characteristics and 0MATERIAL__0MATL_GROUP and 0MATERIAL__0MATL_TYPE as navigation attribute.
1) Now while creating this multiprovider i have selected 0MATERIAL__0MATL_GROUP and 0MATERIAL__0MATL_TYPE as navigation attribute under Navigation button and under Identification i have selected all the three cubes for these two nav attributes.
When i am running Query in BEx it is giving me error that this is not 0MATERIAL__0MATL_GROUP and 0MATERIAL__0MATL_TYPE is deleted from the infoprovider.
2) Now i have selected 0MATERIAL as info object and under identification i have selected it along with all other cubes.Now My Query is running but it shows " # " " Not assigned " for Material Group and Material Type.
Its working fine for the queries which is based on one particular cube..

Hi,
Having the attributes as Navigational in the basic cube does not mean that they will be navigational in the multiprovider. You will have to make them navigational in the Multiprovider.
As for the other issue...please remember that a Multiprovider works on the Union concecpt and not on an intersection concept. It brings the records from individual objects , cumulates them and then tries to display. So, if u have a characteristic in the report which is not available in the Object ..it will show this as # and the other Values.

Query performance on multi-provider

I have a query on a multi provider...its taking a long time to run.
It should run within one minute.
How do I find out where the problem is...pls provide the steps I can take to find out the exact problem.

Universe unable to access query on top of Multi-provider.

Hi All,
I have a multi-provider made of my custom cubes ,I have build a query on top of this multi-provider and while designing I have taken to put Tick 'ALLOW EXTERNAL ACCESS TO THIS QUERY' but when i design universe give my login details i am not able to see that query ,folder for that multi-provider gets created but that query is not getting displayed...
I created a new query and did necessary things but i cant see that query built on top of this multiprovider.
If i make a normal query on top of cube or dso i am able to see that query.
I have other multiprovider if i create query on that i can see that query in universe.
I am surprised why this is happening ?
I am using Business object XI 3.1, so i dnt think this is software issue
Any one faced such kind of issue please reply.

But query i am not able to...
I have calculated key figures in my query but if that is the issue then i also made a simple query which just had standard key figures, then too i am not able to see that query.....
In my other mullti provider I have calculated key figurre and i am able to see that query...
I don't know what is the issue....anything else you can suggest..

Which type of setting we need to maintain in query to get Multi Provider data

HI Friends.
I created query on top of Multi Provider. Multi Provider created on top of Hybrid provider and Standard cube.
When i executed the Query on top Multi Provider, i can't see the data of Hybrid Provider through Query.
In BW side i can see the data on Multi provider.
Can any one help me.

First need to understand what is the use of Hybrid Provider in what cases we prefer provider.
Multiprovider :can be created based on DSO & Infocube
Hybrid Provider : Can Be created based on DSO / HybridProviders based on direct access.

There are no settings to get Hybrid provider data Or Multiprovider data in Bex .
Even though if we need to do any settings we can do it in SPRO , check once in SPRO tcode related to Bex reporting settings.

Input Ready Query is not enabling on Multi Provider...

Dear Folks,
I have created one Multi Provider which is having 3 info cubes, out of three info cubes. 2 Planning Cubes & 1 Normal Cube.
I have created one Aggregation Level on top of Multi Provider and created input ready query which is not enabling as a input for key figures.
Do you have any idea on this.

Check the following points to make your query as input enables,
1. Drill down or filter all the characteristics present in the query.
2. Check whether the "Open query in Change mode" is checked in Query properties.
3. Check whether your real time infocube is in "Plan mode"
4. Make sure that your planning cube is not locked by any other person when you are trying to open your query.

Input ready query on multi provider

Hi all,
i have a requirement to create multi provider on actual and planned cubes.
what is the prerequisite for this? (my actal cube contains some data and planned cube
does'nt have any data).
and what is the flow when we execute the query and save some data?
and when the report executes the data will come from actual cube or from planned cube?
please provide ur inputs for this.

Hi,
When a report executes on a multiprovider it will fetch data from the all underlying Infoproviders.
Here your Planned cube doesn't contain any data, so the report displays data from the Actual cube.
To enable the input enable query, we have to use the Aggregation level as infoprovider in the multiprovider,
When you save the data it will update the Plan cube .

Fetching Data from Multi provider

Hi,
Iu2019ve created multi provider in which I used 2 cubes, when I am viewing the data through the T-Code: LISTCUBE data is fetching from both the cubes but in BEX report itu2019s fetching from only first cube.

Its purely the design problem ... try to check the identification of the char's.
-> Check the identification of the char n KFs, Make sure the identification for the fields is done on both the ICs in MP design.
-> Make sure the data is not restricted with 0infoprovider in the query level.
Suppose the IO -0costcenter is comming from both the ICs but while identification of IOs you had selected both the ICs im MP, check this for all the IOs.

im reporting on a multi provider, i have key figures in columns invoice and tax, when i take 1-rowcount in column im not getting facts for the key figures, can u suggest how to resolve.? without 1-row count im getting facts for the key figures in reporting,

I think there may be some problem with key figure assignment of different source infoprovider in you multiprovider. filter you query result for each source infor provider and check the result. 1ROWCOUNT only available in DSO so in multiprovider if you have taken DSO and cube both than 1ROWCOUNT will not be ther against cube characteristic. Kindly share your multiprovider design and key figure mapping.

Report is not getting data from Remote cube thru Multi Provider

I ve strucked up with a Problem in The Reconciliation Report in BW3.5
The Report was built on a Multi Provider, which was created on Basic and Remote Cubes .
Both cubes have same Data Source and all the Objects were in Active version and found good.
When I m executing the Report ,I m only getting the data from the Basic cube and no data is coming from Remote Cube.
I ve checked the char " 0Infoprov " in Multi Provider and It was assigned with the both the cubes.
What might be the problem
Please help me in this regard

Hi
In the Reconciliation multiprovider, include 0INFOPROVIDER = Remote cube.
If data still not coming, you can be sure connectivity with Source system of the Remote cube is the issue
Check with basis to solve the connectivity issue.
Ensure Remote cube is consistent

Hello Experts,
we have crated an ODS and loaded data from flatfile, now i need to put this ODS in Multi provider, which i did but i dont have any key figures in my ods which is making a problem while activating the Multiprovider , can anyone help me on this.

Surendra , an ODS should have a Key field and not necessarily a Key figure however to create a cube / multiprovider , it is a must that you have a key fiugure , which leads me to ask the following questions:
1. Why do you need a multiprovider on an ODS with no facts(key figure)?
2. Why not an Infoset?
If this is for experimentation alone , trhe answer is clear,
A multiprovider cannot be created without a key figure , this goes against the very concepts of Data Warehousing and think if your architecture is correct and why you need a multiprovider and a multiprovider alone will satisfy your requirements.

After checking all the options it is very much important to run a report "RSR_GEN_DIRECT_ALL_QUERIES" IN SE38.
This is the report used to generate all the changes to reflect in BEx
It will aolve your problem if am not wrong.
Don't forget to assign points.
