Multicolumn Listbox drop down

Is there a way to have selection list within a Table or Multicolumn Listbox control?

I am not sure about the meaning of your question :
In a multicolumn Listbox, you can select several rows (to change the default single row selection mode, right click , then "Selection mode"). The control will return an array of numbers corresponding to the selected row numbers.
If you want to preselect some rows, you can use a global variable, and pass the row number(s) corresponding to the rows which should appear selected.
If you need to get the strings of the selected row, you can use a property node, as illustrated in the attached example.

How to debug drop down listbox?

i'm searching for a possibilty to debug a drop down listbox on a sap dynpro? Can somebody help me!

If the listbox is being built on the fly in the program, then there should be some code that you can step thru. If the values are coming from the domain of the field, then it will be a little more difficult to step thru. Is it a custom program?
If so, looks thru the code to see if you see and call to function module VRM_SET_VALUES. This is the function module used to set the values of the list box. This is used when the listbox is built on the fly in the program.

How to get th selected value of a Drop Down Box

i have a drop down box with two items. each item contains a text and a value.
i tried to get the actual value of a dropdown box but i get the value of the first item.
in the change event of a dropdown box i entered the following code:

this messagebox shows everytime the value of fist item in my drop down box.
any idea?

Make sure you use xfa.event.change to get the correct value from the change event on the drop-down listbox

create input field for DATE and TIME on screen.ex. DATE1 and TIME1 are screen field names .

Just assign SY-DATUM to DATE1 and SY-UZEIT to TIME1 under PROCESS BEFORE EVENT.

Define one variable in the TOP include with type STRING means Global variable.

Selection Screen Bug :: Drop Down List.

I have created the following ABAP Report. I am new at this and I have just hit an issue. I have two drop down boxes linked to transactions. Now when I select a report from Drop Down 1 and click it it goes to the transaction. Now if I also have a selection in Drop Down 2 it actually runs both transactions.
How can i fix this?

Using Visio for Web UI mockups - how do I add a drop-down menu?

I found the control shapes and I see there is a listbox and a "drop down" but I want to save this visio file as html and have a few links that navigate to the different "pages"if possible.
Is it possible to actually create a dropdown menu and have it rendered in the html?

If you are asking if it is possible to turn a mockup "drop down" or "list" shape into a real HTML "select" control when doing a web export - then no, it's not possible.
If you just need a way to navigate on the exported web page, then note that Visio web export supports multiple pages; you can navigate between those by selecting them in Visio-provided navigation menu. Also, you can use normal hyperlinks to navigate to other
locations/pages.

The portlet name is not displayed in the portlet drop down list ?

I use Sun Java System Portal Server 6 2005Q4 for windows 2000 server , use the following command to deployo portlet,
I am not sure if I successfully deploy the portlet?

How can I make the portlet name displayed in the portlet drop down list ?

According to your description, since this is SQL Server forum, as Olaf Helper’s post, could you get the correct result if you execute the following query in SQL Server Manager Studio (SSMS)?
select UserName from aspnet_Users where UserId in(select FreindId from myFreinds where UserId in(select UserId from aspnet_Users where UserName = '<your typed name>'))
If you cannot get the correct result in SSMS, I recommend to check the Transact-SQL statement. Apart from the error message, we also need to know the table structure, data, join relationships between tables for further analysis.
However if there is no problem in SQL Server query, it will be an issue that regards ASP.NET and website deployment. I suggest you to post the question in the ASP.NET forums at
http://forums.asp.net/ . It is appropriate and more experts will assist you.

Dynamic Drop-Down list in a table row or subform

Hi,
I need to display multiple drop-down list elements dynamically. Each of these DDLs will have different values.
For example:
The table will have 2 columns (Student Name text field and Courses drop-down)
Row 1: Student 1 & Courses of Student1 in DDL
Row 2: Student 2 & Courses of Student2 in DDL
When I execute my app, both the drop-downs (i.e. for both the students) are displaying all the courses of all the students. I tried a lot with binding options..
$record.Students[].Courses[]
is refering to all elements of the node. If I use the index 0 for Students node, I am getting 1st element rows.. if I use 1, I am getting 2nd element rows,,,
But How can I set the binding so that Row 1 has only Student 1 courses and Row 2 has Student 2 courses?
IS THERE A WAY TO DYNAMICALLY SET THE BINDING USING JAVASCRIPT?
I tried with tables, subforms.. it is not working. It is working fine in plain web dynpro table but not in an interactive form. I am using NW 2004s SP11, Web Dynpro Java. LiveCycle Designer 7.1, Adobe Reader 7.09.
There are some other posts talking about similar issue.. I tried the solutions mentioned there as well, but nothing worked.
I would really appreciate if any one can provide a solution or pointer to my problem.

Hey. Uh, this probably isn't the answer you were looking for, but it sounds like you've got a problem with your database design there. Generally speaking, your tables shouldn't have multi-valued fields, in the relational model anyway (sql). Instead, you should look at adding a separate table like EMPLOYEE_HOBBIES. Then you have a foreign key using the employees primary key as the foreign key in the employee_hobbies table, see what I mean? I might have misunderstood your explanation though, I'm not sure.
Alternatively, you could just have hobbies as a big freeform varchar field, and don't bother to make people separate their hobbies into different fields (you'd have to abandon the drop-down listbox idea in this case). If there's no really important reason to make the distinction, then it's probably easier just to not do it.

Drop down list in Table Control - Value disappeared after pressing ENTER

Dear Gurus,
I have a problem in one of my development where I used a table control in which one field is a drop down list.
I used VRM_SET_VALUES and VRM_GET_VALUES for populating the values from the programand not use any domain level value table for that field.
My problem is when I select one value from this list , and pressing enter , the value get disappeared. But if I use a domain for this field with value table then everything working properly.
My doubt is am I doing some miss coding or using the VRM_ function modules improperly ?

UI - How to make Columns in a Drop Down List Selection?

I am altering a code from Peter Kahrel "Beginning Script UI". I am trying to make a searchable drop down list that will have 4 columns. So far, the search works and I have headings in the search, but I cannot seem to make the columns for the actual data. I believe I need to change the type_ahead since the array is looking at this data. I'm stuck in the water. Can someone tell me what I need to do to get the list to show up as columns? How do I turn the picked = type_ahead data into four columns? Code and Screenshot below:

This is one of those developments that push the limits of my knowledge-base and when things do that, I lose sleep until I figure it out. With that said :-) here is where I have ended up.
Basically I made a new array for the table data. I then use an array lookup to sort the array in the listbox based on the 0 array item. See the code below. Once it is loaded type in "b" and the list will start to sort.
I need to try to get this to work as a pallete instead of a dialog box. Do palletes support this type of functionality?

I have created a Screen on which one field is created Say Bank Name. I would like to give some spcific value for this fileld where user can select only seeing in drop down cann't enter.

Here is the exampel Program, i am sending the code for a Paramter, If you want this for the Select-options, then you need to have the paramer name as PS_PARM-LOW and you need to write the smae logic again for PS_PARM-HIGH to get the List box for the select-option
