Multilingual actions in Web dynpro

Hi
I created an application in web dynpro.In the starting project i given the default language as " American english".....
But now i want my screen to be displayed in French.
Please any one help me how to proceed.
Is it possible in Web dynpro or else is there any need to change the settings in the backend system...

Hi Sushma,
Nothing to worry! Just make sure that you have translation teams with you! Translation teams are responsible to maintain various languges for the applications which you have developed. Actually this is a part of internationalization. there are .xlf files where in you can maintain various langauges text for your application and at runtime these applications will be converted to the the logged in langauge.
However just to give you an idea, please go through these links:

The problem is one parameter(VARIANT) is being passed to the t-code CAT3 correctly. The next mandatory parameter(PERNR) is not passed to the respective field.Here is the URL Code:

Submit button from Interactive adobe form in Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi all,
We seem to be having a problem with the 'submit' button on the Interactive Form for the Web Dynpro ABAP. The submit button is from the Web Dynpro active X or web Dynpro Native in the form designer. The submit button doesn't trigger the action in Web Dynpro. we are currently running on support pack 9 for the ABAP stack. We have Internet Explorer browser version 6. Could someone tell me if there are requirements for the IE version that will work in conjunction with a particular ABAP stack version. And, are there specific IE security settings or administrative privilages required with this version of the ABAP stack. Or, any other ideas as to why this does not seem to work.

How to enable/disable the input fields based on the data entered in the web dynpro application abap? If the user enters data in one input field then only the next input field should be enabled else it should be in disabled state. Please guide.

Try this code.
First create a attribute with the name readonly of type wdy_boolean and bind it read_only property of input field of which is you want to enable or disable.
Next go to Init method.
Set the readonly value as 'X'.

After that Go to the Action ENTER.
First read the input field ( first input field, which is value entered field) , next give a condition
if input value is not initial then set the readonly value is ' '.

I havenu2019t found a way to use GP API inside WebDynpro CO to get Action ID.
Using IGPExecutionContext you can get the Process ID and Task ID and using these IDs, you canu2019t reach Action ID (there arenu2019t Interface/Class/Method to get that by a reverse way).
What is your requirement? May be there are other ways to do that.

Action (navigation) when click on Hyperlink field in ALV web dynpro

Hi - I had a question about Hyperlink in ALV web dynpro and it was answered in Link: [web dynpro abap ALV link to (hyperlink);
Now I need to click the Hyperlink field and navigate to another screen.
i.e. I have a Object ID (PR Number) when I click the PR number I need to open the PR Document also another case is at the item level if the PR has more than one item I'm showing the word "MULTIPLE" so if the user click on Multiple I need to show all the items (material) in another ALV table that I already create.

Hi,
As per my understanding, there are PR number and Material and other columns in the SAME ALV table right.
There is a ONCLICK event for ALV not for the VIEWCONTAINTERELEMENT.
In the View where you have the ALV as component usage under view's properties, you have ALV usage right.
Now, under the METHODS tab of the ALV, implement an event
Onclick EventHandler ONCLICK(press F4) of that ALV.
Now the Click event is implemented for that ALV. When ever you click on any column(Hyperlink) this gets called.
Here there are parameters that you need to use it. R_PARAM has both the index and the element.
Based on the COLUMN you can call the respective event.
The index that you have clicked i shown from r_param->index and you can also know ATTRIBUTE name(column name).
If attribute eq 'PRNUMBER'
*call the Purchase requistion transaction
elseif attribute eq 'MATNR'.
*call the popup for other ALV as component usage to display item details.
endif.

I have looked around and didn't find anything interesting.

Web Dynpro Action/Method Handeling question

Hey guys, here is what i am trying to do:
I have a view with an input field and a drop down.
The user enters an employee number in the input field, and i want the drop down to populate with some info about that employee.
I CAN get it to work with the user pressing ENTER after entering the employee number, but i am wondering if there is a way to handle if the use just TABS to the drop down, or if the user just CLICKS on the drop down with the mouse?
Either that or a way to auto populate the drop down anytime the value changes in the text field?
thoughts?
I have tried all the standard WDDO events and none do what i want.

Ok.Maybe I didn't explain my question clearly.
Firstly, what I want to do is just like send-email button does.But you know,after I click the sendemail button, an automatic check will be done to check which required text field is null,if is null, a red border will be added and the submit is not allowed.(and also execute presubmit event)
Ok, I just add a web dynpro submit button,but I find it doesn't check whether the required text field is null.
I thought I could add the SAPSUBMIT script to submit button,but when i change the button to regular submit button, the click event disappeared.
I know we can add some more scripts to archive this.
But because of the form is so large, I just want to find an easy way.to do so.

What Madhu said is correct. Tab key is pre-configured to move cursor from 1 field to next field. we can not create an event on tab key press.

ECATT abends during recording when lead selection is set to 0 on web dynpro

We have a web dynpro application that works ok when running by itself.   When we tried to record ECATT testing on it, it abended after we click on a selection from a list of values.    The error on the browser indicated an error on the "lead select".   After reviewing the dump, we found that it abends on an exception when the lead selection on the ALV is not set.   When we changed our code to set the lead selection to 1, the ECATT recording worked.
We have a requirement to set the lead selection of ALV to 0 so we need to change back our code.   We just did the setting to 1 just to get ECATT recording to work for now.    Does anybody know why ECATT requires this?   Is there a support packs that fixes this?

Unable to download file from FileDownload UI Element - Java Web Dynpro

Hello Experts,
I am facing a strange issue.Scenario is:
I created an java web Dynpro application (Please note that it is just a standalone WD app, not integrated in portal) with just one FileUpload UI Element ,one FileDownload UI element and one button (for triggering an action).
I browse a file (e.g. text,pdf,doc etc.) and click on button. It uploads the file and when I click on download, there are two cases:
1) Simply click on download does not downloads the file and shows error: "Unable to download <file name> from <server name>. Unable to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later." Though it is opening the file,showing the content.
2) I opened that portal URL in a new tab in same session and logged in with a portal user. Now if I click on download link of same WD app opened in different tab of same session, it downloads the file without any error.
I am using portal 7.0
Can somebody point what's going wrong with case 1?

Hi Sid,
I did not gave any authentication of WD app as it is anonymous app. There is no parameter set in application properties.
As I run the app, it is showing the initial screen with UI elemtns and till upload works fine,.It has to be an anonymous app, so cannot ask for credential from user.

I want to editable description field in my web dynpro application

Hi expert,
The requirement is to make the Description field editable. However, the container for the dynpro only appears to allow for a certain type of action and is essentially used to display the Line Item details, giving no option to change the Line Item Description.
so i want to editable in this description field in my web dynpro application /SAPSRM/WDC_DOTC_PC_I_BD .

The name of the view is V_PC_DOTC_ITM on which we have the records. On each line item there is a description field which is of type (LinkToAction). I want to enable user so that it can change the Description text (I will handle the action). Also, if you have any idea about updating the database table from here as it needs to be updated in BBP_PCPOS table.

SRM 7.0 Web Dynpro ABAP Customization

Hi ,
Upgrading from SRM 5.0 to SRM 7.0 and would require customization at the Web Dynpro ABAP Component for RFx.
I need to put a pop-up screen when the Buyer clicks on the "AWARD" button on the Bid Screen. Now I am not able to find the award action/event at the Web Dynpro component level where I have to put the pop-up code and other related logic. I also tried getting into the SPRO and find the class which may contain the AWARD event. Please let me know the solution to this problem. Thank you.
