Multiple Attachments in Email Payload declaring with Application Types

Hi XI Experts,
I am currently working on an Email Module to handle multiple attachments. I have read all forum entries to this topic but I got know answer to my question.
My question:
Is it technically possible to declare more than one Atttachment of the Payload with the tag <Application Type>? From the coding point of view I know that it is possible like this
for ( int i = 0; i < XMBMessageOperator.numberOfPayloads(message); i++){
XMBPayload payload = XMBMessageOperator.getPayload(message, i);
payload .setPayloadType(PayloadType.APPLICATION);
but does the XI then also process all application attachment messages correctly as separate messages?
So from the coding point of view does the XI iterate over all application attachments and processes the messages?

I would suggest to do it using SAPConnect instead of ccBPM.Check this blog.

Cannot send multiple attachments since 10.5.8 with IMAP

Have had a consistent issue that Mail 3.6 will not send multiple attachments, regardless of size, since the 10.5.8 update with a IMAP configuration. Under POP, as in Gmail, using Mail 3.6 with multiple attachments is no issue. Using IMAP through my Godaddy Hosted Domains, in some cases it actually is sending mail as verified through webmail "Sent" folder but does not show in Mail 3.6 "Sent" folder. Have verified this through sending from my IMAP Goddady hosted emails to my POP Gmail account accessed via Mail 3.6. Can also send successfully through webmail on Godaddy to any Pop or IMAP account.
It seems something in the 10.5.8 update has altered Mail 3.6 to impact this functionality. As a business owner this functionality is crucial, may have to switch to Entourage.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Multiple attachments in email

Is it possible to attach multiple files to emails on an iPad?

It depends on which app you are using.
I can attach multiple attachment with apps like GoodReader, Photo Manager Pro

Why can't i attach multiple attachments on email using iPad

Using the iPad, in the apple mail app you can't attach documents only photos and videos, why is that? Especially trying to attach PDF files from iBooks you can't from the mail app. Even if I go to iBooks and try to attach multiple pdf's on one email I can't.

There are Apps like GoodReader which allow attaching multiple documents to emails including multiple PDFs.

Just assume that you have to create one file with the IDoc header data,
and in addition to that one file per segment.

In this case IDoc-file-mail, if we create multiple files based on the each IDoc segments,how we can combine all the files(created in local directory) which are related to 1 single IDoc and send all of them in a single mail.
Ex: if there are 20 files in local folder with 2 different IDoc segments then how we can filter based on each IDoc.

Updating import declarations with duty types and message types

Hi All,
I am a GTS developer. There are configuration changes in the system . As a result, the import declarations and presentation documents created in 2014 and 2013 have to be updated with :
1.) Replace old duty types with new ones in the logistic costs tab.
2.) Replace old message types with new ones in the communication tab.
Any pointers on how to go about , regarding the table links between the duty types and declarations, message types and declarations , Function modules would be very helpful. Thanks much in advance.

Hi SK,
That's a strange request. Of course the configuration changes invalidate the old Declarations, but your attempt to re-write history isn't likely to achieve much.
Since the messaging cannot be repeated, it makes no sense to update the documents. And similarly, since the Declarations cannot be re-sent, updating the Duty Types will have no effect.
But if you must do it, here are some tips:
For the duty calculation, you need to update entries in table /SAPSLL/LEGCULC. Assuming the the Duty Types haven't been re-named, you should loop through the entries and use MOVE-CORRESPONDING to copy the values from the configuration tables /SAPSLL/TLC_ASC (key = LAUNR) and /SAPSLL/TLC_AAR (key = TLC_AAR, matching /SAPSLL/LEGCULC-TLC_AART). First check that all relevant fields have the same name, considering the Data Elements involved.
For the messages, you need to update entries in table /SAPSLL/LEGMES. However, I have no idea which fields your esteemed Application Consultant might have changed there, so can't immediately advise what should be copied.
In both cases, the link to the Customs Declarations is that GUID_MOBJ = /SAPSLL/CUHD-GUID_CUHD, and MOBJT = 'O' (that's the letter, not number zero).

I am doing file to mail scenario in which iam including attachments.
I am able to send one attachment(i.e., .txt) from file to mail.
My requirement is i need to send both .txt and .xls .Please let me know the procedure for sending multiple attachments(probabaly without any abap coding or .jar files usage).

Using the default modules PayloadSwapBean and MessageTransformBean you can able to send multiple attachments.
swap.keyName :payload-name or payload-description or content-type, content-description. swap.keyValue: If you have a multiple attachments then give the multiple key value.
Like you have payload name
Attachment1, Attachment2 then
swap.keyName payload-name
swap.keyValue Attachment1, Attachment2
Using the MessageTransformBean you can able to change the file name.

While saving multiple attachments from mail, files with same name are added and not replaced

However - I can't be the first or only person with this problem so I figure that some workaround must be known out there. Maybe the import action can recognize date taken or - well. Thank you very much in advance if you can help me out here.
You can alsways set the downloader to rename the imported files with a unique new name, there are many options in the 'advanced' dialog of the downloader. I don't know about Macs, but I don't thing there is a difference.

How to save multiple attachments in Lion Mail?

In Snow Leopard Mail, I can save multiple attachments to my Downloads folder with one click. In Lion Mail, I see no way to save attachments except by right-clicking on them one at a time. I must be missing something. Information appreciated.

I believe you are missing something. I'm not on my Mac right now but there should be a setting where to save attachments and also muiltiples at one time.

How to avoid zeros in output for a field with Decimal type

In a Report one output field is declared with decimal type.
Whenver that field is not filled with any values zeros will be displayed in the output.
I tried to change the data type to char but i am facing some issues in calculations and shwoing only 2 decimal places.
So is there any way to hide the zeros in the output if we the field is not filled with any value.

If required field type is declared as type p decimals 2 , if for that field in internal table there is no value - then automatically output will get display in ALV as 0.00.
To remove 0.00 in the output screen and to be displayed in blank then in the field catalogue add wa_fieldcat-no_zero = 'X'. in that particular field. then if no value for that field then it will display space in the output.
wa_fieldcat-fieldname   = 'ZQUAN'.
wa_fieldcat-seltext_l   = 'Quantity'.
wa_fieldcat-outputlen = '13'.

That' "requirement" sounds like it was written by someone who is trying to drive the design of the application. Without knowing your personal situation it's hard for me to say, but if I had to guess I would say the real requirement is to send an email with multiple attachements, and the person giving that requirement thought sending it through Outlook would be the best way. You should get clairification on what the real intend of that requirement is.

The easiest is to send an e-mail with multiple attachments to yourself and then view the message in raw to see how it is formatted - how the boundaries work. what the boundary headers are, etc.
Then you use that as a template for your PL/SQL code to generate a MIME body for an e-mail that has multiple attachments.
To debug.. have your PL/SQL code send sample e-mails with multiple attachment to your account, view it in raw format and compare that to the original format you've based your template on.
And none of this is really a PL/SQL issue.. it is all about formatting a valid MIME message for an e-mail.

Where I have got to is receiving the email and writing the attachments to variables. All is fine until I get an attachment that has a MIME type of application/octet-stream. I would only expect to see this for files that are not text based.
Does anyon know how I can inturpret this type so I can extract the text? In this example both files are text based although only the first file is displayed.

That's probably because the message is in HTML format. Send the reply as plain text.
