Multiple copies of display on Tecra A7 (Intel 945GM)

I am having problems with my Tecra A7 display, using a Mobile Intel 945GM chip. At one point I started getting multiple copies of my desktop on my screen -- two down, two across, with the very top of the fifth and sixth copy coming in on the bottom.
Initially this was just for the Toshiba and ??Resuming Windows?? screen, but eventually it stayed this way all the time. Windows works normally, just with four really small copies of the desktop. An attached external monitor works fine. I tried checking the Full screen (no borders) box in the Intel graphics manager, as well as all the hotkeys I saw listed there -- nothing helped.

Sounds like the display of your notebook has some connection problems or don't know, maybe there is something wrong in general with the display.
Because, as you already tested an external monitor with your machine, I doubt a driver update or reinstallation would help here.
Nevertheless you could try it, but to get to know what the exact problem is, go to an ASP and let them check your notebook.

As above, Apple's official advice is here... HT2905 - How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library, however it is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve/merge ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed)

Suddenly there are multiple copies of the same ibook on my bookshelf. How do I get rid of the extra copies?

I have purchased several ibooks from the bookstore over the last several months. Suddenly there are multiple copies of several titles. Not coincidentally I am have trouble downloading newly purchased titles. I am receiving a message that there is insufficient space when there is, in fact, 6GB+ available. How to proceed?

Quit iBooks completely and reboot the iPad.
From your home screen -Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the iBooks app icon. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Go back to iBooks and see if the duplicates have disappeared.

Multiple copies in Aperture Photo Stream

I use one photostream for two iPhone 4Ss, an iPad 2, Apple TV, and on two MacBooks (both running Lion, one using Aperture 3 and one using iPhoto '11).
I have Aperture running on my Late 2009 13" Unibody MacBook Pro automatically import photostream photos taken on my iPhones into the usual "month year Photo Stream" folders.
Here is my issue: when I click on the Photo Stream "Library" on the in Aperture, I find MULTIPLE copies of each photo. The older the photo in photo stream, the more copies (my oldest photo from almost 5 months ago has almost 80 copies!). The most recent photos only have a single copy with number of copies increasing as the photos get older. The first most recent duplicate is from 2 weeks ago with 2 copies. This applies to both photos taken on my iDevices directly to the stream and also photos uploaded to the stream from a DSLR via Aperture. I'm concerned that having 80 copies of older photos (already copied to another folder in my Aperture library) will take up unnecessary space in my Aperture library. I am also afraid to delete any of the copies for fear that they will be removed from the photo stream of any of my multiple devices (some still displaying photos older than 30 days, eg. Apple TV).
Any idea why this is occurring? Any thoughts on preventing it?

I'm having the same problem. I deleted all the photos in the photostream then tried to drag a couple new ones in to see if they'd synch. Nothing is happening. I recently installed aperture (have about 125 gb in the library). If anyone has an idea what to do, i'm open to try something.

Laserjet 5000 with windows 7 driver cannot print multiple copies unless disabling mopier

Customer has Laserjet 5000 that they have been using for approx 5 years. It is connected to one computer with the standard parallel cable and the driver is using lpt1. It is used mainly to print word documents and a multi page publisher document. The computer used to be a windows xp computer and all worked well with the PCL6 driver and that is the only driver that was used
They just bought a new Windows 7 32 bit computer and now it has lost some of the functionality.
The first driver that was loaded was the driver that Windows 7 used after you use the windows update button that you get during the add printer wizard. I think it was the pcl 5 driver as that is the driver that the computer will install if you remove the printer and then restart the computer. Using this driver, when you choose to print more than one page or multiple copies, it will just print the first page or copy and there will not be any errors displayed.
I have since downloaded the PCL6 driver, PS driver and PCL5 driver from HP's website and tried all of them.
The PS driver will print more than one page, but when it gets to about the 4th page the printer prints out an error page. The error is PCL XL error, Subsystem: Kernel, Error: Unsupported protocol, Operator 0x0, Position:0
The PCl 6 driver will print the same error page and not print any print jobs, even if it is just a single page, single copy job.
The pcl 5 driver prints one page and then stops printing, no errors.
When I disable the mopier under device settings, the pcl5 driver will print everything just fine. Only problem is, it will not collate. The collate checkbox is available and checked when we try the multiple page multiple copy publisher document, but it just prints out as if we do not have collate checked. If we could get collation to work, than we are good to go.
I have not tried the PS driver with the mopier disabled.
The PCL6 driver stills returns the pcl xl error with the mopier disabled.
The printer does not have any extra memory, just the 4 mb standard that came with the printer. I am wondering if this is a memory issue triggered by Windows 7and I just need to get more memory for the printer. (Computer has 4 gb of memory)
Anybody else have a similar issue and got theirs fixed?

This printer doesn't have the Mopier settings.
What drivers are you using?
Did you download the drivers or are you using the Windows preinstalled drivers?
If you are using the Windows preinstalled drivers then I would download the latest drivers. Here is the URL for the HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver.
I would download and run the Print and Scan Doctor since it might resolve the issue automatically.

Printing multiple copies of PDF causes huge amounts of data to be sent to printer...

Whenever I need to print multiple copies of a PDF file Acrobat sends the complete file for each and every copy. This really chokes the RIP or laserprinter and takes many times longer to print than needed.
It seems it is something to do with the CS3 software for Intel Macs and the issue has been around for a long time... My only solution at this stage is to print PDFs from the Preview app (built into OSX).

Is a proper fix ever going to appear for this issue?? Apparently it has been resolved in InDesign - why not in Acrobat?

Try to uncheck the collate box.

even after having repaired the inbox folder under "properties" a few times, I still had some e-mails where the contents are different from the subject line.
In other words in the inbox there are two e-mails: one with subject line "abc", and another one with subject line "def".
When I display the e-mail with the subject line "abc", the contents are from the e-mail with the subject line "def" in the in-basket.
What else can be done to correct this problem?

Problems printing multiple copies on 1 page in iPhoto version 9.5.1

I'm having problems printing multiple copies of a photo in my version of iPhoto 9.5.1. I've tried looking at the answers given in Macworld forums for iPhoto '09 but I can't follow them as they refer to clicking 'preferences' - but this button isn't displayed on the 'print' page. Is my version iPhoto '09 or '11?

iPhoto 9.5.1 is the most recent version of iPhoto '11, as part of the iLife '11 suit of applications. The printing dialog changed between iPhoto '09 and iPhoto '11.
The easiest way to print multiple copies of the same photo on one page is to simply duplicate your photo (from the "Photos" menu: "Photos > Duplicate" and then to select all copies at once and use "File > Print":
Then select a template and press the "Print" button.

eg. Different form title per every print copy.
then the following code should work.

Remember, display the element 'form_title' in a window of type 'copies window'.

Reprocess XML data to deliver multiple copies

I am working with the Word Template Builder. I have an XML database to process into a PDF file. When I use XML syntax and for-each@section as the context in order to restart page numbering with each new document, it works fine. If I duplicate the for-each loop and try it again, I get no data to display - "This file cannot be opened because it has no pages to display". Once I pull out either of the for-each loops, it processes as expected. I'd like to reprocess the same data file in this manner in order to get multiple copies of the same data. If I pull out @section, it will process the data twice, but then the page numbering starts at 1 and is not reset at the beginning of each new document. If 3 documents are there totalling 7 pages, I get page 1 of 7 and 2 of 7.
Any ideas how I can reprocess the same data file multiple times using the section context so that page numbering will be reset with each new section (document)?

If you are talking about a page with an insert query, ignore the fact that it's a page refresh. It's just another way that someone can insert duplicate records. I like to handle this in my insert query.

Adobe form -- multiple copies issue

Hi experts,
using VF03, when i print adobe form with multiple copies automaitically spool is generated with 2 copies.
but my problem is in the first copy price value at the bottom of the page is displayed, but the same price value in the second spool is displayed as ZERO.
my adobe form has a custom driver program.
how to go ahead with this issue.

sounds like the custom driver program is processing the form twice with data clear values occurring between the two executions. Are you sure the program sends once with a copy counter set to 2?

Multiple copies of a single VI??

I need to open multiple independant copies of a single VI with front panel. I realise this can be done by re-saving multiple copies of the VI but as i do not know until run-time how many copies are required this is not a good solution. The VI is an instrument user interface and thus i require each instance of the VI to display its front panel and act independantly. Cheers for your help

I don't know what the discussion on templates involve, but it isn't really the proper solution to your problem (although that discussion may in fact be about the proper solution: instanciation, but be missnamed.)
What you need to do is drop in a "Call by Reference" node. This will call an "instance" of your VI (load a copy of your VI into memory.) To call your VI, you need two things: a prototype, and the path. The prototype is just a copy of the connector pane. You can just open your VI, view the connector pane, and drag-and-drop it onto the Call by Reference node. You can now wire your inputs and outputs. If you have no inputs or outputs, you can just use the VI server, which you have to use anyway for the next steps. You need to create a referenc
e to the VI using the Open Reference. Wire a constant to the Path input, and use the path to your VI.
Now that you have that done, or if you are going to use only the VI server (if you have no inputs or outputs), you need to drop some invoke/property nodes. If you are only using VI server to call your interface (again, if you have no inputs or outputs), you need to Invoke the VI. Check out the VI Server examples for help on this. Then, you will need to use Property nodes to make the front panel visible. Be sure to also name your instance each time, so that the system isn't confused.

Multiple Copies of Same Song/Movie

Every time I sync something new to my AppleTV I see many, many copies of that item on the device interfaces. It seems to fix itself after a while, but I have no idea how/why.
I also have to say that the fact that the pin entry on screen in BIG FRIGGING NUMBERS is absolutely stupid. I have to send my kids out of the room to buy anything. Why not allow for a directional pin that does not appear on the screen? Up, Up, Down, Down or something like that. Of course, Apple will simply ignore this idea because Apple ignores everyone because Apple assumes it can do no wrong.

I just bought AppleTV a couple of weeks ago. The 160GB model. I too have noticed that when I sync (add) to the AppleTV there are multiple copies of it in the "My Movies" List. I checked the content that I have on the AppleTV through iTunes and it shows that I only have one copy of it. So I think there is a software bug that displays it multiple times.
Last night I bought "Zodiac" When I turned the TV on this morning I saw 8 zodiac listings on the AppleTV. I just purchased "No Country for Old Men". It is in the middle of downloading. I hope it doesn't show multiple listings.

Receiving multiple copies of text messages

i have an iPhone 6 plus and have been receiving multiple copies of the same text message (up to 4x) from various contacts across various carriers. This has been an issue throughout having an iPhone 5s and 6 plus, and only occurs with regular messages, not iMessage. It also does not occur for automated text messages sent to me (e.g. Redbox). While I have unlimited messages it is frustrating because they are sent to me multiple times, and not necessarily in the same order each time. It is also inconsistent. I might get a single copy of one text and four of another. I have reset the phone, changed phones, and every other thing possible. This seems to be an issue not on my end. Assistance would be much appreciate. Thanks.
