Multiple Delta Runs inGL4

The requirement is to run a seperate delta for specific company codes on 0FI_GL_4 extractor.
Here is the example.
We need a seperate delta run for Company Codes 1400 to 1600, where as the range of company codes are 1 to 9999.
The idea is to run
1. INIT DELTA-RUN1 with Company Code range 1 to 1399.
2. DELTA - RUN1 with company code range 1 to 1399.
3. INIT DELTA - RUN2 with company code range 1601 to 9999.
4. DELTA - RUN2 with company code range 1601 to 9999.
5. INIT DELTA - RUN3 with company code range 1400 to 1600.
6. DELTA - RUN3 with company code range 1400 to 1600.
Is this approach possible? If yes, is this a good approach. I am concerned on how the system maintains multiple timestamps on the same datasource for 3 different selection criteria.
Please advise any other better solution.

No new selections can be made when requesting delta data from a 2.0 extractor.
Delta selections are composed of the total quantity of all the selections of all the sucessful init. requests for this DataSource.
I am little concerned, on how to handle my requirement.
Any input will be great.

If your question is whether you can run multiple instances of WebLogic
          (or multiple applications) on one server, the answer is yes. The only
          problem is, you must have a unique port for each of the servers to run
          on. I.e., they can not all run under port 80 which has obvious
          internet/network implications.
          This also means you have multiple weblogic.properties files etc. for
          each instance.
          We do this with WL5.1 on a Linux 2.4 kernel in developement to allow
          multiple developers run their own instance on one box.

Multiple APP run's for same vendor

Dear Friends,
I would like to know whether it is possible to do multiple payment proposals for a vendor on same dates.
here is the scenario:
Each business area would like to creat and edit payment proposals for the same dates, for ex: Run date is 1.1.08, next payment date will be 02.01.08 and schedule the actul payment run on say 03.01.08.
The actual payment runs will be processed by different paying coc.ode on 03.1.08
so for a given vendor say we have 2 open items which are due for each business area. I tried giving Business area in free selections .
when I try to create a secong payment proposal system gives me the message saying no payment proposal found for the co.code Message nO.FZ349
Yes it does makes sense to this meesage in the sense system wants to check that no invoice is paid twice by mistake.
But my question is since I am restricting open items by Busines area in the selection parameters itself shouldnt that be considered by system.
Hope I am clear.
Please let me know your inputs on the same.

When you say that same vendor can be paid more than 1 once in a given day by APP, I belive you meant that once paymnet run has been done we can create another APP process for the same vendor.
Yes I dont see any issues there.
I also have no doubt that we can create multiple payment runs for a given vendor for 2 different co.codes on the same day.
But the issue I have is a case of centralised payment for all regions which are represented by Business areas.
Each region will do business with the same pan india vendor and would like to create thier payment proposals. The payment runs for these proposals will be done by the head office.
while trying to the second payment proposal, thi sis the message:
"Vendor 54 222 is contained in proposal 24.01.2008 SB1; no editing"

Multiple scripts running at the same time?

Is there a way to have multiple scripts successfully running at the same time?
At the moment if I start a second script while the first one is still running, the second one completes successfully but the first one stops. This seems to be because the first one is no longer the active document once the second one opens so can't continue.
Is there another way to script things like this so that multiple can run independently at the same time? You might ask why I'd want to run two at the same time and not just wait, but i've setup an asp.net web form front end and having problems if two people click the button around the same time.
I'm guessing this isn't going to be possible and i'm going to have to look for ways of doing this in asp.net instead and somehow queue the requests so you have to wait longer if the script is already running?

This is correct. The scripting interface to PS is single-threaded so you will need to queue up requests.

Using multiple delta 1010s in logic

can't use multiple delta 1010s works fine using one when i select multiple on logic comes through very distorted and then slowly dies. any ideas?

I would say something like:
"In normal operation, Logic listens to all incoming MIDI ports, and sums the data together, forwards it to the arrange page, and then distributes it to the selected instrument track - hence all controllers which be channelised to control the current instrument (or multiple instruments).
If you enable "Multiplayer Record" mode, then what happens is that Logic distributes incoming MIDI events to the selected tracks via the MIDI channel.
So, you can set track 1 to listen to channel 2, track 2 with a different plugin to channel 14 etc - up to 16 channels.
So in this way, you can play up to 16 independent instruments from up to 16 independent controllers.
Logic currently has a bottleneck at the summing point, which means you lose the incoming MIDI port info, which is why your controllers need to be sending on different MIDI channels, but in short, set controller 1 to transmit on one channel, set controller two to transmit on a different MIDI channel, have multiplayer record enabled "Auto demix by channel if
multitrack recording"), and you can then choose which track should respond to which controller by adjusting the track object's MIDI channel.
The manual explains the procedure in "Recording on Multiple MIDI Tracks" on page 382."

Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

A delta run for a DS still running, how to delete it

I have an event in a process chain that calls another process chain which in turn starts a delta run for a data source....
the delta run is still unfinished and yellow(when i go to the monitor), i need that killed so my process chains start again all over, how can i kill it.
I dont see the specific job in sm37 as active...

The job must be running in the source system. In your source system, go to SM37 and see the job details...i.e. PID and server on which it is running. Go to SM50/SM51 and select this job and delete/kill it from context menu. In BW, make the QM red and delete the request from the data target.

There is an App called Weathertrack, which pulls from the web GRIB files (weather information), that I would like to download onto the laptop we have on the boat, that runs some routing software (SeaTrack), that in turn integrates weather, tide, GPS etc to help with vessel navigation.
I can obviously do this from my home computer (this is the one that has the 1-1 sync relationship), but I don't want to empty the IPhone content whilst on the boat ...
If you can think of a way of making this happen, I would be very appreciative. Both PCs are windows based, home is Vista, boat is XP.

Logic Express 7 and Multiple Delta 44 cards...

I have a G4 450 running Tiger and I have 3 Delta 44 audio cards/breakout boxes installed in the machine. I can't get Logic Express to recoginze all three cards. In fact, it only allows me to record 2 channels of 1 breakout box. However the delta driver software recognizes the cards and all of the channels. Has anyone tried this or has anyone been able to get a similar configuration to work?
I was able to get the three delta 44's to work on a PC running Sonar 3.0 Producer but heard that Macs make better recording machines. Also the PC is now non-functioning.
I have already tried to update the driver software for the delta cards and OS update.

Multiple applications running on the same portal server

Environment : EP 7.0 SPS12
We have multiple portal applications running on the same portal with different login page for each application. On one of our employee portal, we want to put a login page link for another portal application running on the same portal which requires a different user ID and password to access that application.
The problem we are encountering is, the login page link we put in our employee portal is bypassing the login page for the other application and using the same session as the employee portal. What can I do to make sure application login page show up when accessing the link from employee portal?

thanks for the clarification. I think I do understand now and the only thing I can think of is to delete the session cookie.
The problem with that is that you would not be able to use "simple" links (e.g. you could not just call the URL of the other application, but you would have to create some application (a simply JSP would probably be fine) that deletes the cookie and redirects you to the new application.
An other option would be to create DNS aliases that so that the session cookie is not sent (but depending on your setup this might have other drawbacks). Since the cookies are not valid for the other domains you would always start with a new login when you access a new application (e.g. the employee portal has the url portal.employee.company.com and the customer portal has portal.cutomer.company.com. Then (if the settings for ume.logon.security.relax_domain.level,see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/5e/473d4124b08739e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm is correct)

The older compessor allows multiple cpus to run, to process footage.

Multiple listener running (hanging) on the same port //weird..

today we encountered a strange problem regarding the listener process. (multiple process with the same listener name.. :-( )
versions: rdbms/listener 10.2.0.2
OS: AIX 5L 5200-09-04
so; from the process list of the AIX:
594032 991330 0 03:43:18 - 0:00 /orabinp/product/ora10g/bin/tnslsnr LSNRprod -inherit
991330 1 0 Mar 04 - 29:17 /orabinp/product/ora10g/bin/tnslsnr LSNRprod -inherit
as you see the 2nd listener was initiated from the "original" listener, (the parent ID is 991330)
the lsnrctl status, stop commands were hanging, the lsnr processes were terminated with -USR2 signal. lsnr start was ok, after this the application was able to connect.
resolution took around 3 mins, but there is a need to have a root cause analysis. usually when you want to start an already running listener,it results in a "TNS-01106: Listener using listener name 'LISTENERname' has already been started".
during this double operation there were no connection available (it is clear from listener.log)
Anyone had this issue?
Any comments welcome and highly appreciated.

(oracle version 10.2.0.2 - first question -is it a known bug?- I have not found it in a bug list.. the db will be patched/migrated to 10.2.0.3 at next available downtime)

How do I compile Labview program so multiple instances run on one computer?

I would like to have the ability to run multiple instances of a single executable Labview program on the same computer. Is there an option I should set during compilation?

Do you need the multiple instances to communicate? If so, use the INI file settings and VI server to launch them into the same run time engine. These settings in your INI file may be of use.

Make sure you use a unique port number. Launch your main VIs by first using Open Application Reference with the port in your INI file and "localhost" as the machine name. Then use this application reference to open your main VI using Open VI Reference. Run it using the Run method with Wait Until Done set to FALSE and Autodispose Ref set to TRUE. Make sure it has its front panel open before you close your launcher or the LabVIEW runtime engine will close (since you have the VI ref, you can do a slow poll on the execution state or front panel open/closed properties).
Be careful with shared VIs. Reentrancy and VI templates are your friends.

Multiple Statements Run Once

Hi,
I have multiple statements and I have to run each one, one at a time. I was wondering if there was a way I could run them alltogether?
I have used the below as an example.
select *
from user
where username = 'Bob'
select *
from acc
where account = '11111'
However I would like to run both the select statement at once, I don't want to combine them like this:
select *
from user, acc
where username = 'Bob'
and account = '11111'
Any ideas?

Linking multiple macs running Keynote

*as a repost as i -by accident- posted this message earlier in the appleworks-forum*
case: we want to create 1 wide screen via projection. Running 3x 1920*1080 using edgeblending to create a picture in 20*5meters.
As a background we want to use 3 macs (minis) running 3 different keynotes (one with the left part, one with the middle and one with the right part of the images)
this is no big challenge until we run into the next situation, we need to be able to change slides. on three macs on the same time... is it possible to configure on machine as host and to have the others as slave, so when on the host machine the slide changes, the others changes as well..........
(or does anyone has an idea with other software??)

Or maybe a superwide single Keynote and a Matrox TripleHead2Go to feed the three projectors. Depends on what's on the three sections because trying to run multiple movies on one slide doesn't always go smoothly.
I haven't tried the Matrox products yet but I am looking into them for my own widescreen work.
