Multiple key figures in a report painter or writer

I would like to bring GL account balances in the form of a P&L and also bring statistical key figues. I need to perform a formula of dividing the dollar value by the SKF. Is this achievable? The column in the painter does not permit more than one key figure type, currently I have object currency.

Yes it is possible. If I understand your question correctly, I think you want to define statistical key figures within the rows of a report and have their corresponding key figure in the same column as the amounts for the G/L accounts. To do so requires that you create a new section within the report (Edit > Sections > New Sections) which can reference a different key figure than the object currency used by the G/L accounts. In the new section, or in its own section, you can then create a row formula which combines the amounts and key figures.

Time Buckets with multiple Key Figures in Each

Hello Experts,
I have seen documents creation of ageing buckets and calculations but not seen any document with ageing bucket having multiple Key Figures part of it.
User's have used Excel to create Bucket header and using V and H lookups they are populating data in to those columns. Is there a way we can achieve this in Bex Designer? Below is what needed on report which would give user's overview of Current Week, Previous Week, Last 4 weeks and Last 13 weeks. I have attached Snapshot for better Understanding

If week is your time period analysis then create a structure in columns, above your key figures, based on week selections variable.

Added new key figure in the report

Experts,
I have added new key figure in the report .If i display this key figure value in the report it is populating correct value with ERROR(example 22.5 ERROR).The report is on the multiprovider .i have check the value for this in multiprovider it is populating correctly .There is no calculation in the report for this .While extracting in to report i am getting this. Help me to resolve this issue.

I have already created a formula like NODIM(Key field).that only i am using .
and mapping I did in this way. I went to multiprovider and I have selected this key figure and right click and select (assign) then I have click on create proposal for all infoobjects option.
Please suggest any thing need to do.

Combine multiple key figures in single key figure

Hi,
We have a requirement where we need to put multiple key figures into a single key figure
For example source DSO is as follows (+ Unit object):
Region    |   Date           |    Amount |    Quantity
Asia        | 01-01-2008 |    100        |    1000
Eurpoe    | 02-02-2008 |     200       |     2000
In Target DSO / Cube, the data must appear like this (no Unit Object)
Region    |   Date            | Type        |    Value
Asia       |   01-01-2008   |   Amount   |    100
Asia       |   01-01-2008   |   Quantity |    1000
Eurpoe   |   02-02-2008   |   Amount   |     200

Write a strart routine that maps Type ->Amount and Quantity,Value -> Kf of Amount or Quantity
Put these chars into Key fields in target DSO = Region | Date | Type ,that will assure unique entries

Model multiple key figures of BI cube to BPC

Hi Experts,Probably a good way of having multiple Key figure values from BI to BPC is to convert it into a account based model (create a dimension and have the key figures as dimension members).I have this scenraio where we are using COPA (costing based) for BPC mgmt consol.This costing based COPA cube in BI has around 120 Key figures.Pls advice on the best way to medel this scnerio in BPC where i would probably need most of those Kf's.I am also looking at how i could reduce separate transformation files/mappings from BI to BPC also on the same..

Thank you Pravin and Ajay for your valuable suggestions and time.what i would like to clarify is on the transformations.Let us say i have my BI cube as costing based itself and this i need to map to BPC dimension.
BI structure- char1 ,char 2,char 3 ,KF1(value field 1),KF2(value field 2),KF3(valuefield3),KF4....
In BPC ,lets say we have a separate dimension (i guess this should be of account type or probably user defined one) which would have dimension members as KF1,KF2,KF3,KF4....
Now how would i do the mapping/transformations from BI to BPC? would i need to have 4different transformation files (assuming i have 4 KF's in my BI cube) for each KF & char combination and thus to load data also many times.
How to achieve modelling side of this situation.any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.

Multiple Key Figures and SINGEDATA

Hi Experts,
There are different Key Figures in BI like Amount, Quantity, Number, Integer, Date, Time, and the associated Unit. Whereas, in BPC there is only one type of object is used for recording quantitative values for transaction in BPC, that is SINGEDDATA. This object is equivalent to a Key Figure in SAP NetWeaver BI. So, while extracting data from BI to BPC, there are multiple Key Figures in BI, then how to take these multiple Key Figures in BPC? Do we need to take multiple SINGEDDATA?

Hello Qakbar -
The typical practice is to map each BW key figure to a combination of SIGNDATA and another dimension, such as ACCOUNT (or any combination of one or more dimensions). BPC is a true account based data model (only one key figure).
You can use BW transformations along with Rule Groups to define how each multiple key figure based BW record can be broken into separate single key figure records. These records can be stored in a BW staging cube for easy import into BPC upon demand.
Alternatively, you could use the BPC transformation command, MVAL, to allow loading of multiple Keyfigure BW records directly into BPC.

Calculate key figures totals in report based in multiprovider doesn't work.

Hi dear Friends:
We have a requirement where the data are in 2 different cubes, the layout defined is
selections parameters :
Zsales_offices
0calweek
               Columns.
               0calweek KFCalc1..............................KFcalc2.....................etc.
               In rows.
               01.2007   Qty on demand X unit cost.    sum of all qty's prods
               02.2007
               03.2007
               04.2007
the structure in cube z1mis contain:
Zsales_offices,product,0calweeek,unit cost.
the Second cube structure zdemand contain:
Zsales_office, product,0calweek,qty on demand
Our problem is:
1. As you can see we need keep into KFcalc1 the product from multiply Qty on demand * unit cost but when the result is displaying the result is a wrong amount and the reason is because didn't´t exist a characteristic product in the layout, without this characteristic the amount for qty on demand and unit cost are summarized and multiplying with these amounts.
We are trying to find a solution vía restricted key figures, calculating before aggregation, but it's not woks.
I hope that you can give one suggestion.

Hi,
putting product in the rows will slove the issues as the unit cost depends upon the prdoduct and therefore it will uniquely identify each of the material and then it will get multiplies with the qty and therefore you will get the correct result.
this kind of issue you will always face when you are going to multiply cost with the Qty and as the cost differ with the individual material.
Also putting material into the rows will cause the no. of rows to increase as all the materials will show up in the individual rows for the particular month.
Also you can make a claculated key fgure for the multiplication and use before aggregation.
But for that your both the key figures should be in the same cube i.e. in the same rows or the before aggregation will not work you will not even get an option of before aggregation in the CKF if the key figures belong to two different cubes.
Since your qty and cost are coming from two different cubes before aggreagtion will not work here.
And if you do before aggregation then you report will become quite slow as it will do all the multiplication anf then will bring the result.
So it depends on your requirement and your design how to proceed.

Available characteristics and key figures in drilldown reports

Hi,
I'm wondering which table /structure defines what characteristics and key figures are available for drilldown reports (eg. G/L), and if it is possible to add new chars/key figs.
I reckon there must be a structure resembling Report Painter libraries, where you can select fields from a reporting table. I just can't find that structure anywhere.

For GL the menu path is Financial accounting-general ledger accounting-G/L accounts-Line items-line item display.
Here you select the way the line item display is set up. Also you can select the fields you want and additional fields as well. Some tcodes range from O7F1 and O7FE.
This varies by module but is generally in the line item or information systems section in configuration.
Go to GR21 and drop down the tables and you can see all the tables availble for report painter.
You can add tables to report painter in sm30 in table T804A. That makes it availble for report painter.

How can i display all the Coloumns (Key Figures) in the Report's same page

Hi All,
I am currently working on the BI 7.0 reporting. In the BEx Query Designer report, I am having 13 coloumns (7 Key figures and 6 Formulas) in the report. It is now displaying 10 coloumns in the First page of report. The other 3 coloumns can be seen by clicking on the next page. But the requirement is to see coloumns in the SAME PAGE.
Are there any settings OR any other thing in the Query Designer, which can enable me to see all the coloumns on SAME page. The users are not interested in scrolling next page for 3 coloumns.

In Web Application Designer, for the properties of your analysis webitem under the Paging category, change parameter 'Number of Data Columns Displayed at Once' (BLOCK_COLUMNS_SIZE) to 0. This will make all columns show instead of paginating as it is doing now.

Error in key figure value at Reporting level

Hi Experts,
I had problem of Key figure value which displays wrong data in reporting.
The Process is :
I had added the key figure SALK3 to the generic data source (xxx). The Extractor is Table/View, Table is MBEW.I had replicated to BW side.
In BW, The process is Data Source(Generic) to 0MAT_PLANT(Infoobject (Added SALK3 to the infoobject of Attributes tab) ) loads to Multiprovider.I can see data in the multi provider for that particular field after loading.
Now the problem is, In Query designer i had added the key figure in Columns and ran the report.The output of the field is, If the value is 100 it displays 100 ERROR, if it 200 it displays 200 ERROR.Could you please help me on this,where i went wrong.

Please check with the follwing screen shots:
Right click on the key fgure you created----select edit
Once the screen opens select the NODIM from Data Functions before the key figure (as highlighted).
Finally click on OK.

Not Displaying "Net Sales" key figure in Crystal Report

Hi All,
I have made one Info cube (with Characteristics -Product, Region and Customer and Key Figure - Net Sales) from Flat File.
I want to make crystal report on this. For that i have connected this infocube in crystal Reports via OLAP Connectivity. I am getting all the characterisitc in Field Explorer and one more Field "Measure" in which two field is displayed:
- Measures, Level 0
- Measures, Level 0 (long)
Now i have dragged all the characterisitcs in detail section with Measure, Level 0(long). While i am viewing the preview of this, i am not getting value of that line item.
Ex.
Product Region Customer NetSales
Actual one:
AC East BigBazar 14000
with Measure, Level 0(long):
AC East BigBazar NetSales
with Measure, Level 0
AC East BigBazar [Measures].[ZNETSALES]
I am not getting 14000 i.e. Actual value.
Hope i am clear with my idea. Am i missing something?

How to add Characteristic text to Key figures in Bex report?

The result set of a report is like this

The first Column Payment amount, Commission and Total are key figures.
Payment and recovery are text of a Characteristic Infoobject ( Flag type : X = Payment, # = Recovery ).
Now the requirement is not to have Characteristic Infobject as Column but to have them as text beside keyfigure.

Create Restricted Keyfigures to achieve this requirement.
create 2 RKF for Payment Amount Keyfigure
Create RKF1 with Payment Amount keyfigure and restrict flag type with "X" and then
Create RKF2 with Payment Amount keyfigure and restrict flag type with "#".
And use the RKF's in the query.
Similarly create two RKF's for each Keyfigure used in the query and restrict it with flag type.

Bex Query calc key figures in Crystal report not showing technical names.

Hi,
I have created calculated key figures in a BEx query for which the data comes from a SAP BW cube. I have assigned each of the calculated key figures a proper technical name which I expect to see when I bring it to crystal report. When I bring that query in Crystal as a data source the calculated key figures show a wier network id names instead of the technical names. I am having a problem in using those wierd technical name in my report and my formula's as I am not able to identify what is what.
Please urgent help requested.

I dont have an account on such website. I will explain u the problem in detail.
When I create a calculate key figure in SAP BEx query designer I assigned a technical name to it, a meaningful one. In my case one such example is Actual_revenue is the name that i have assigned and the description is Actual revenue. When I create a crystal report from it and in that report if i create a formula.
I get this {ZIC_COPA_Z_SALES.[Measures]-[25V1KYL4VE92X0T4OMHVYM90V]}
If u see it its a wier 25 digit name.
Instead of this I want to see
{ZIC_COPA_Z_SALES.[Measures]-[ACTUAL_REVENUE]} which is what I have given in the query. I am using the SAP BW MDX driver to connect to Bex query.

Swaping key figures in Web Report(Drag and drop)

Hi,
Assume that I have following three key figures displaing in the following sequence in web report:
Actual, Target, Estimate:
Now I want to put the key figures in the following order:Estimate,Actual,Target
When I do try to do the Drag and Drop in the web report I'm getting the following message and I'm unable to move Estimate to the first column,
Message: Drag and drop action was invalid and was not executed
I can able to drag and drop in the Bex Analyzer but in web reporting its not working

You can achieve this swapping of KFs by swapping them in BEx. In WAD, you just use the BEx query in which you do this swapping.

ABAP Code for Key Figure selection in Report

Hello Experts,
I am working on one of the development request that requires following logic to be implemented at query execution. There will one KF column and based on valid combination of characteristics value from the cube, Key Figure value from the same cube will be selected and reported.
If ((Plant = A1) and (Division = B1))
OR ((Plant =A2 ) and (Division = B1))
OR ((Plant = A3) and (Division = B2))
OR ((Plant = A6) and (Division = B2)).
Price = Moving Avg.
Else
Price = Standard.
Can somebody please suggest, how to do this? Thanks in advance.

Step 1.Create a formula (say F1)variable with customer exit. In the customer exit code read the values of Plant and Division. If the Plant and Division combination is the one that you specified below return a 1 (for Moving Avg.) or return a 0 (for Standard).
Step 2. Create a column with a formula having the following definition
(F1=1)'Moving Avg.' + (F1=0)'Standard'
So, if the combination satisfies Moving Avg will be shown else Standard will be shown.
You can avoid customer exit coding by using replacement variables and using them in a formula, this would make your calculation clumsy and confusing. Let me know if you cannot get the customer exit solution work.
