Multiple level packing with an example

hi,
sap gurus,
how we will configure multi-level packing.
for eg: packing of colour television.
plz do the need ful
regards,
balaji.t

Dear Balaji,
Multiple packing is femiliar with single level packing but here more that one packing materials will be involved.
I will explain with your example Colour TeleVision.
Packing materials are :- Carton box,Pallet and container.
Step 1.You create material masters for Colour Tele Vision,Carton Box,Pallet and Container.
Step 2.You do the packing related settings to the carton box,Pallet and container in the IMG path is
SPRO>IMG>Logistics execution>Shipping>Packing
-->Define Packaging Material Type
-->Define Material Group for Packaging Materials
-->Define Allowed Packaging Materials
Step 3.Assign the packing material type in the respective masters.
1.Assign carton Box packing material type to Tele Vision master >Basic data 1>Under packing material data.
2.Assign Pallet packing material type to Carton Box master >Basic data 1>Under packing material data.
3.Assign Container packing material type to Pallet master >Basic data 1>Under packing material data.
Now you create delivery for the colour television in the delivery you can able to pack the TV in to carton boxes then in to Pallets then in to Container.This called multilevel packing.
I hope this will help you,
Regards,
Murali.

  • How to work with Product Catalogs that have multiple levels

    I'm having difficulty understanding how to go about setting up a catalog site with multiple levels in the hierarchy. For example, the standard walkthroughs will display product categories and products. When the product category page is viewed, it displays
    a list of products. That's fine.
    I would like to have categories, sub-categories, and products. For example:
    1. Bicycles
      a. Road Bikes
      b. Mountain Bikes
    2. Clothing
      a. shirts
      b. shorts
    The top level landing page should list all categories. Clicking on a category should take the user to a page that lists all sub-categories for that category. How are these landing pages created? It's simple to display the list of products in a sub-category,
    as that's just a content search. But how do I generate a list of subcategories (or categories) dynamically, without having to manually create a page for each one?
    Also, each category / subcategory should have it's own metadata, such as description, contact info, etc.
    Thanks,
    Mike G.

    after you connect to a product catalog in site settings->manage catalog connections in a publishing site, page layouts and pages will created automatically for you in the publishing site. for a simple test, you can just leave everything to it's default
    value when you connect to a catalog. you can find address for these page created in site settings->term store management tool, click on the term under your site collection group, and open the term-driven pages.

  • Problem in Aggregate with Multiple level of dimension

    Hi,
    I have a BI repository with a snowflake schema. I have also designed the business model with snowflake, It works with drilling and all but I am facing problem when I am
    creating  a logical column aggregating with a higher level of dimentation. Let me illustrate that :
      I have the Following Hierarchy :
    Tournament(id, Name) ---- > Round (id, name, tournament_id) -------> Match (id, Name, RoundId ) |  Match is fact table and other 2 dimension.
      I also created a logical dimension called tournament with 3 levels.
      Now say I want to create a logical column Total Number of Matches , aggregating  to the dimension level of Tournament. The result gives counts a 0 for every tournament. However
      it is working perfectly when the dimension level is Round (which is the immediate next level after fact).
      The Logical request generated (in case of Tournament level) :
       MatchId:[DAggr(Measure1.MATCHID by [ Matches$.TournamentId]  SB Tournament)] as c1 GB.
        There is no such column as TournamentId in Matches$ table. How does the BI server got this ?
       The execution plan  evaluate this:
         cast(NULL as  INTEGER )  as c1 GB [for database 0:0,1]
       Can someone please explain why is this happening, is it because of the snowflake schema, but I guess if BI server can handle a snowflake schema it should work the Aggregate
       properly in multiple levels of dimensions, or it is something I am doing wrong.
       Execution Environment:
         Windows XP ,  OBI 10g on OC4J.  Data source : MS Excel (ODBC 3.5)

    Hi,
    With reference to your question.
    Can any operator perform this task..I don't think any single operator will help you.
    I suggest using an intermediate (staging) table by using a PL SQL procedure with output port to store the values of account number provided the number of accounts are limited. Else use an array variable for account of an employee.
    In short no simple solution because of the bad source design else the pivot/unpivot operator would have helped you.

  • Unable to create cross tab report with multiple level dynamic columns

    Hi Gurus,
    We are trying to develope group above cross tab report with BI Publisher.
    i am unable to achieve multiple level columns dynamically.Using cross tab wizard i can achieve single level measure column ,but not the second level column.
    Output should look like this:
    Country1
    Region1 Region2 Region3 --(level1 column)
    d1 d2 d3 d1 d2 d3 d1 d2 d3 -- (level2 column)
    Row1 10 20 30 70 80 90 40 70 90 --data
    Row2 21 24 54 65 23 64 64 76 87
    Here regions and d1 d2 d3 may vary based on xml data.Also we have page break on country.

  • How do I merge multiple Excel files with more than one tab in each file using PowerQuery?

    Hello
    I have 12 Excel (.xlsx) files and each file has three identically named and ordered tabs in them.
    I know how to merge multiple Excel files in a folder using M (those guides are all over the web) but how do I merge multiple Excel files with multiple (yet identically named and ordered) tabs? Surely it is possible? I just don't know how to do it in M.
    Cheers
    James

    What Laurence says is correct, and probably the best thing to do when the sheets have differing structures. Here is an alternate approach that works well when the sheets all have the same structure.
    When you first open the Excel file from Power Query, you can see its structure in the navigator at the right-hand-side of the screen. If you select the root (which is the filename itself) and click Edit, you'll see all the tabs in the sheet as a single table.
    You can now do filtering based on the Name, Item and Kind values. When you've reduced the set of things down to the sheets you want, select the Data column and say "Remove Other Columns". If the sheets don't have any header rows, you can just click the expand
    icon in the header and you'll be done.
    Otherwise, if the sheets have headers or if some other kind of sheet-level transformation is required against each sheet before doing a merge, you'll have to write some M code manually. In the following example, each sheet has a header row consisting of
    two columns: Foo and Bar. So the only step I need to perform before merging is to promote the first row into a header. This is done via the Table.TransformColumns operation.
    let
        Source = Excel.Workbook(File.Contents("C:\Users\CurtH\Desktop\Test1.xlsx")),
        RemovedOtherColumns = Table.SelectColumns(Source,{"Data"}),
        PromotedHeaders = Table.TransformColumns(RemovedOtherColumns,{{"Data", each Table.PromoteHeaders(_)}}),
        ExpandData = Table.ExpandTableColumn(PromotedHeaders, "Data", {"Foo", "Bar"}, {"Data.Foo", "Data.Bar"})
    in
        ExpandData

  • Explain SD PROCESS WITH AN EXAMPLE

    HI
    PLEASE TELL ME THE SD PROCESS WITH AN EXAMPLES
    ADV. THANKS TO ALL

    Hi
    SD Process Flow:
    Sales Order --> Delivery (Create Delivery, Picking, packing & PGI) --> Billing
    Normal Sales Order Configuration Cycle:-
    Step 1: Sales Document Type
    IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales > Sales Documents >
    Sales Document Header:
    1. Sales Document Type:The sales document types represent the different business transactions, such as Inquiry, Quotation, Sales Order, etc. To create new sales order type, always copy as with reference to similar sales order. If possible use standard sales order.
    2. Define Number Ranges For Sales Documents: Maintain number range with discussion with core team.
    3. Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types:
    A. Combine sales organizations / Combine distribution channels / Combine divisions: Ensure to maintain these, else Sales Order creation will give error.
    B. Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas: Assign only required Sales Order Types to required Sales Area. This will minimize selection of Sales Order Type as per sales area.
    Sales Document Item:
    1. Define Item Categories: If possible use Standard Item Category. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Assign Item Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving item category: Sales Document Type + Item Category Group + Usage + Higher Level Item Category = Item Category
    Schedule Line:
    1. Define Schedule Line Categories: If possible use Standard Schedule Lines. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Assign Schedule Line Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving Schedule Line: Item Category + MRP Type / No MRP Type.
    Step 2:
    IMG > Logistic Execution > Shipping > Deliveries >
    1. Define Delivery Types: If possible use Standard Delivery Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Define Item Categories for Deliveries: If possible use Standard Item Categories for Delivery Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    3. Define Number Ranges for Deliveries: Ensure to maintain number range.
    Step 3:
    IMG > Sales and Distribution > Billing >
    1. Define Billing Types: If possible use Standard Billing Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Define Number Range For Billing Documents: Ensure to maintain number range.
    3. Maintain Copying Control For Billing Documents: Maintain relevant copy controls such as Sales Order to Billing, Deliver to Billing, etc.
    Note: Ensure that Copy Control settings are done
    Sales Order to Sales Order (QT --> OR): VTAA
    Sales Order to Delivery (OR --> LF): VTLA
    Sales Order to Billing (OR --> F1): VTFA
    Delivery to Billing(LF --> F2): VTFL
    Billing to Sales Order (F2 --> RE): VTAF
    The configuration differs from scenario to scenario & requirement of the client.

  • Loading  facts at multiple levels

    Hi
    I have a cube with six dimensions. For one of those six dimensions I get data at all levels so what I want to do is load data at all levels and choose no aggregation for that particular dimension. I need levels in that dimension because I have other cubes in same AW for which I get only leaf level data for all dimensions. How can I load data at all levels for a given dimension?
    olap version: 11.2.0.3
    Thanks
    Dileep.

    In AWM you should be able to drag the dimension key column from the fact table to multiple levels of the hierarchy.
    At the XML level you should see elements in the cube map like this:
    <CubeDimensionalityMap
      Name="MY_DIM"
      Dimensionality="MY_DIM"
      MappedDimension="MY_DIM.MY_HIER.LEAF_LEVEL"
      Expression="MY_FACT.MY_DIM_COLUMN">
    </CubeDimensionalityMap>The MappedDimension attribute instructs the server to load data at the LEAF_LEVEL only. To get it to load at all levels you can simply delete the MappedDimension line and recreate the cube. If you then look in the AWM mapping screen you should see MY_FACT.MY_DIM_COLUMN mapped to all levels within MY_DIM.MY_HIER.
    There are a few cases where this will not work, so be warned! Here are some that I can think of.
    (1) If you have an MV on the cube
    (2) You are partitioning by the dimension
    (3) The expression for the CubeDimensionalityMap comes from the dimension table.
    Case (3) sometimes happens because users map to a dimension table column instead of to a fact table column wwhen they are different sides of the table join. For example if the table join condition is "MY_FACT.MY_DIM_COLUMN = MY_DIM_TABLE.KEY_COLUMN" then some people map to the expression MY_DIM_TABLE.KEY_COLUMN instead of to MY_FACT.MY_DIM_COLUMN. If this is true, then you can just change the expression to point to the fact column. A legitimate case of (3) happens where the fact table contains data at a lower level (e.g. DAY) than what is loaded into the AW (e.g. MONTH). A solution there is to create a VIEW that does the correct join and then map the cube to the VIEW.

  • Multiple Level authorization

    Hi I am using OBIEE 11.1.1.5.
    I want to set the row level security and also with multiple level. for example i have one sales dashboard, i have entered using sales person id then the dashboard shows for the particular salesman sales details and i have entered as zonal sales manager then the dashboard shows the details of sales men under my zonal or i have entered to dashboard using the regional sales id i can able to view the all the regional information. How can achieve this.
    For single level authorization i can used the row level security. but multiple level how is it possible?
    Regards
    Gauthaman

    You can set up a initialization block to set up values for three variables.
    1) GROUP
    2) LEVEL or COLUMN_NAME
    3) COLUMN_VALUE
    In your single level authorization you will intialize only 1 and 3 variables, here intialize second one also and use it in the filter clause.
    like COLUMN_NAME = COLUMN_VALUE

  • Configuring multiple level approval workflows

    Hi,
    1. I would like to know how to configure multiple levels of approval in a workflow.
    For example, when a user self registers himself, the request must be sent to level1 manager and after his approval it must be sent to level2 manager for final approval.
    2. I would like to know the difference between "provisioning" and "provisioned".
    Path : Process definition->task->TasktoObjectStatusMapping
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    For question no 1.
    1.You need to create a approval process.
    2.Create a approval task for example "Approve by Manger1". assign this to Manager level 1.If its not static assignment then you need to create task assignment adapter.
    3.Create another approval task for exmaple "Approve by Manger 2" assign this to manager level2.
    4.Have the 2nd task depends one first one so that until one is completed 2nd one will not start.
    For question 2.
    Provisioning status refer to when provisioning process is not complete.
    Provisioned status refer to when provisioning process is complete.
    You can map this status on the completion or rejection of any task.Usually provisioned status is mapped with success of create identity task.
    Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Regards
    Nitesh

  • Multiple level median on pivot

    Has anyone successfully derived a median from a Hyperion pivot that contains multiple levels? The median calculates on one level rather than multiple levels.
    For example, I can do a pivot that will show me a median on this:
    Adjuster Payment Cycle
    Darren 15
    Andy 10
    Tammy 12
    But I can't get a median on this:
    Team Adjuster Coverage Payment Cycle
    5 Darren Coll 15
    8 Andy PD 10
    6 Tammy BI 12
    This example uses 3 "group by" selections, but Hyperion only seems to be able to handle one. Can anyone confirm or deny or shed any light on this at all? Thanks.

    The method that I use to handle this is to create the grouping that I need in the result set and calculate the median for each of these groupings in the result set. So you would have column names Team; Adj; TeamAdj; Median Team, Median Adj, Median TeamAdj. I create each grouping by concatenating all of columns in the grouping. This will result in each median being a separate column in your pivot. The average function in the pivot will then give you the median. This can be a bit confusing for someone viewing the pivot but this can be overcome with good column names and user training.

  • Posting of multiple excise invoice with reference to single GR

    HI all,
    please refer the below scenario. and provide your suggestions
    Here we are purchasing scrap from the traders, traders may purchase scrap from different vendors. from the plant user creating a PO line item for 10 Tons. while receiving the scrap trader will not send the excise invoice, only with DC trader will send the material ( ref to JJ form). After 2 or 3 days trader will send the excise invoice, at the time only we come to know that there are multiple excise invoice in our example for 10 tons trader may purchase two different manufacturers so, he will pass two excise invoice to us.
    Due to material non availability, our stores will immediatly do GR after receiving of material for 10 Tons (since stores don't know how many excise invoice is backed with this GR).
    While posting Excise invoice through J1IEX, system is allowing to post one to one basis only means one GR will allow to post one excise invoice document.
    Please suggest your valuable inputs
    Regards
    Sridharan

    Hi,
    i can able to post through J1IH but the issue is i cannot be able to capture the actual excise amount and VAT during my invoice verification (MIRO). please give your taughts on the same

  • How can I create multiple sales orders with reference to one contract?

    Hello Gurus,
    Can you please how can I create multiple sales orders with reference to one contract?
    thanks!
    Rakesh

    hi
    Lets consider example
    In your contract for line item 1 you have entered qty 100
    You careated sales order with 70 quantity, and now you want to creat another sales order for 30
    For this first you need to check what is your item category in contract (VA42)
    Goto VOV7
    SPRO - IMG  - Sales and distribution - Sales - Sales document item - Define item categories - Go to change mode
    Make the completion rule = B Item is completed after full quantity has been referenced

  • Can I have multiple event structures with the same event cases?

    Hello,
    I'm doing an application that reproduces the front panel of the HP6675A power supply. To achieve this, I have done a state machine with different states
    (initialize, measures, voltage, current, ocp, ov, store, recall, etc). In each state, should have an event structure that catches the events of the buttons, like for example: if the current state is the Voltage mode and the user press the current button the next state will be the Current mode. For this in each state of the state machine should be the same event structure with the same events.
    My problem is that the Vi doesn't work properly when I have multiple event structures with the same event cases. There are some possibily to do this, and how? Or is impossible to have multiple events? I have been reading some posts, but I don't find solutions.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

    Or as others mentioned, make two parallel loops.  In one loop, have your state machine.  In the other, have just the Event Handler.  Pass the events from the handler to the state machine by way of queues.
    A proper state machine will not need the second loop.  The "Wait For Event" or "Idle" state (whatever you want to call it) is all you really need in order to catch the user button presses.  The setup is almost there.  Maybe add a shift register to keep track of which state to go to in the case of a timeout on the Event Structure.
