Multiple Levels Hierarchy - Value Sets

Hello all,
I have a request from our client to create a four level hierarchy in E-Business Suite. I have tried creating dependent value sets but with this way I can create only two levels hierarchy since I can not make the dependent value set parent of another value set.
Does anybody have any idea?
Thank you in advance,
Christina

Hi Hiren,
According to your description, you will not select Country, State & City at the same time, right?
So as per my understanding, you needn't to create the hierarchy, just create three attributes Country, State and City. Then when you select one of the attributes in the PowerPivot table, the attribute can be the filter which you can see on the screenshot
below.

  • I want higher level hierarchy values at open hub output

    Hi,
    InfoObject Profit Centre is having hierarchies.
    I am getting leaf node values of Profit Centre at open hub output.
    Is there any way I can get parent node values of Profit Center at open hub output.

    Hi Prashanth,
    yes the best way for you is to use the DataSource 2LIS_11_V_SSL. You have here the following status fields: LFGSA (Overall delivery status of the item) and LFSTA (Delivery status) and also the quantities like:
    WMENG     Requested Quantity of Sales Order Sched. Lines in Sales Unit
    BMENG     Confirmed Quantity of Sales Order Sched. Lines in Sales Unit
    VSMNG     Delivered Quantity in Sales Unit of Sales Order Sched. Lines
    Only if you need also Open Quantity you have to use a combination of two DataSources in one ODS Object. As example 2LIS_11_V_SCL. Here you will find the field OLFMNG (Open quantity to be delivered).
    You have to consolidate the both in one ODS object with the same key figures and both should update different InfoObjects.
    I hope this helps.

  • Content Organizer bug - PDF files does not get routed correctly if autodeclaration is on and library level default values are set

    It looks like whenever one specifies Column default values at a library level then the content organizer routing goes a bit awry SPECIFICALLY FOR NON OFFICE FILES [e.g. PDF] . Below are the observations and issues
    1. Column level default value set on a record library with auto declaration of records turned on.  The content organizer routes the document to the library but also keeps a copy of the document in the drop off library. It does not remove it from the drop
    off library. The instant we clear the default value settings at the library level of the target library the content organizer works as expected again.
    2. If default value settings are specified on a column in the target library then the PDF file gets routed to the document library but all the metadata is blanked out. The copy of the file that remains in the drop off library has all the correct metadata but
    the target library has blanked out metadata.
    Are the 2 observations described above by design or are they bugs? If so is there any documentation that is available that proves this because this does not make logical sense and proving this to a client in the absence of any documentation is a challenge.
    The problem goes away if we shift the default value to the site columns directly at the site collection level. It's just the library level defaults that the pdf files do not seem to agree with

    Hi Lisa,
    Thanks for responding. This can be replicated in any environment but is only replicable for a specific combination of content organizer settings . The combination of settings I am referring to can be seen in the screenshot below. If you turn off redirect
    users to the drop off library for direct uploads to libraries and if you turn on sharepoint versioning then you should be able to replicate the issue. Also we are using managed metadata site columns. I simplified this use case to a custom content content type
    with just 2 custom managed metadata columns and can still replicate the issue in several environments. Also note the issue does not occur if the default values are set at the site or site collection level. It only occurs if you set the column value default
    at a library level.  I was able to replicate this on a completely vanilla Enterprise records site collection freshly created just to test this.  Also note that the issue is not that the file does not reach the destination library. The issue is the
    document does not get removed from the drop off library after it is transfered to the destination library which technically should have gotten removed.

  • Value Mapping - Partial Hierarchy values in MDM

    Hello Experts,
    I have a scenario where the Material Number has partial Hierarchy filed value maintained e.g: if the actual Hierrachy lookup has 4 levels of hierarchy maintained and if the Material being imprted has Product Hierarchy value set only upto 2 levels, this raises a concern.
    Even though the data is imported successfully, MDM creates a duplicate value(upto 2nd level) in the Hierarchy lookup table and automatically maps the incoming Product hierarchy field value (of Material) to this duplicate leaf element craeted.
    Is there a solution to handle such a scenario?
    Kindly advice,
    Thaks in advance,
    Elizabeth.

    Hi Elizabeth
    Materials need to be assigned to the final leaf node and MDM does not allow assignment of parent nodes to records.
    If this the requirement you can also introduce a Lookup table storing all the hierachy nodes with Descriptions and assign the parent nodes with blank hierachy. Once full hierachy is known the lookup value as well as hierarchy value can be updated.
    thanks

  • Not able to get the profile value set at Responsibility level

    Hi,
    I had set the value of a custom profile at Responsibility level and in CO i used the
    following code,
    String rLocation = pageContext.getProfile("XXTMG_PR_SCP_LOCATION");
    The above call returns NULL. But if i set the value of the profile at Site Level then the above code returns the correct value of the profile. I bounced the apache after the profile option was changed but no avail.
    I even tried using getOADBTransaction().getSpecificProfile() in the AM (which was
    called from CO) as below but could not get the value of the profile,
    Number lRespID = new Number(getOADBTransaction().getResponsibilityId());
    String retLoc1 = getOADBTransaction().getSpecificProfile("XXTMG_PR_SCP_LOCATION","","",
    lRespID.toString());
    Could any of you please let me know whether i have missed something in the code which results in not getting the correct value for the profile at the Responsibility level.
    Thanks, Suresh.

    Instead of passing null for the other parameters in call to getSpecificProfile, can you please set these params and try ?
    Also, please note that if a value is defined at site level, then even if a value is present at the resp level, the value at site will be returned when you use getProfile method.
    Thanks

  • Multiple Levels in Hierarchy using MDX in SSAS

    Hi All,
    I am Hiren Parikh from India.
    I have a requirement in which I want multiple levels in a single hierarchy.
    But this levels should not depend on each other.
    For eg -
    + Country
    -India
    - China
    - Japan
    + State
    - X
    - Y
    - Z
    + City
    - Mumbai
    - Beijing
    - Tokyo etc
    I will not select Country, State & City at the same time. If I select the Country then Country will become my filter.
    If I select the State then State will become my filter.
    If I select the City then City will become my filter. This means all the 3 levels are independent should work.
    Thanks in advance...

  • Value set - hierarchy

    Hi,
    I have an issue where I want to add a descriptive flexfield. The flexfield should be added in an existing hierarchy that consists of 3 fields:
    1. Category
    2. Type
    3. Priority
    All the flexfields have value sets connected to them. Type is dependent of the values you have choosen in Category.
    The setup looks like this today:
    Category - Value set XXCategory - Independent
    Type - Value set XXType - Dependent (.. of Category)
    Priority - Value Set XXPriority- Independent
    After the new field is added the hierarchy should be like this
    1. Category
    2. Type
    3. Cause (new)
    4. Priority
    Cause should be dependent of Type (that is dependent of Category). The problem is that I can not set up a value set that is both dependent of something and master of something else.
    Does somebody have any suggestions on how to address this issue?
    BR Daniel

    Hi,
    One possibility could be to make a value set using type "Table" attached to cause segment. This will be restrict values according to what you want. But the inconvenient is that the table has be created and maintained.

  • How to work with Product Catalogs that have multiple levels

    I'm having difficulty understanding how to go about setting up a catalog site with multiple levels in the hierarchy. For example, the standard walkthroughs will display product categories and products. When the product category page is viewed, it displays
    a list of products. That's fine.
    I would like to have categories, sub-categories, and products. For example:
    1. Bicycles
      a. Road Bikes
      b. Mountain Bikes
    2. Clothing
      a. shirts
      b. shorts
    The top level landing page should list all categories. Clicking on a category should take the user to a page that lists all sub-categories for that category. How are these landing pages created? It's simple to display the list of products in a sub-category,
    as that's just a content search. But how do I generate a list of subcategories (or categories) dynamically, without having to manually create a page for each one?
    Also, each category / subcategory should have it's own metadata, such as description, contact info, etc.
    Thanks,
    Mike G.

    after you connect to a product catalog in site settings->manage catalog connections in a publishing site, page layouts and pages will created automatically for you in the publishing site. for a simple test, you can just leave everything to it's default
    value when you connect to a catalog. you can find address for these page created in site settings->term store management tool, click on the term under your site collection group, and open the term-driven pages.

  • Problem in Aggregate with Multiple level of dimension

    Hi,
    I have a BI repository with a snowflake schema. I have also designed the business model with snowflake, It works with drilling and all but I am facing problem when I am
    creating  a logical column aggregating with a higher level of dimentation. Let me illustrate that :
      I have the Following Hierarchy :
    Tournament(id, Name) ---- > Round (id, name, tournament_id) -------> Match (id, Name, RoundId ) |  Match is fact table and other 2 dimension.
      I also created a logical dimension called tournament with 3 levels.
      Now say I want to create a logical column Total Number of Matches , aggregating  to the dimension level of Tournament. The result gives counts a 0 for every tournament. However
      it is working perfectly when the dimension level is Round (which is the immediate next level after fact).
      The Logical request generated (in case of Tournament level) :
       MatchId:[DAggr(Measure1.MATCHID by [ Matches$.TournamentId]  SB Tournament)] as c1 GB.
        There is no such column as TournamentId in Matches$ table. How does the BI server got this ?
       The execution plan  evaluate this:
         cast(NULL as  INTEGER )  as c1 GB [for database 0:0,1]
       Can someone please explain why is this happening, is it because of the snowflake schema, but I guess if BI server can handle a snowflake schema it should work the Aggregate
       properly in multiple levels of dimensions, or it is something I am doing wrong.
       Execution Environment:
         Windows XP ,  OBI 10g on OC4J.  Data source : MS Excel (ODBC 3.5)

    Hi,
    With reference to your question.
    Can any operator perform this task..I don't think any single operator will help you.
    I suggest using an intermediate (staging) table by using a PL SQL procedure with output port to store the values of account number provided the number of accounts are limited. Else use an array variable for account of an employee.
    In short no simple solution because of the bad source design else the pivot/unpivot operator would have helped you.

  • Multiple levels escalation for deadline monitoring

    Hi all,
    We have a business requirement to perform multiple levels escalation in one of the workflow steps. If the approver does not approve the work item(WI) after one day,  a mail notification will be sent to the approver.  A second mail will be sent again if approver still doesn't approve WI after 48 hours.  Then the third/fourth mail will be sent to approver and approver's boss if approver still doesn't approve WI after 72 / 96 hours.  The fifth mail will be sent to approver's boss's boss if WI is not approved still after 5 days.
    I know how to do simple and modeled deadline monitoring in workflow builder. But I don't know whether our business requirement can be achieved in workflow builder( and this is a step in dynamic parallel processing).  Other option I have is to create an ABAP report to go through the table stores workflow run time data and make this report run several times a day in the batch to send mail notification reminder.
    Did anybody have a similar business requirement like ours? What's the best way to handle it - build it in workflow builder or write an ABAP report?
    Thank you in advance,
    Merta

    Hi Merta,
    We had a similar requirement and this is how I achieved it:
    1.  Pleace your approval task into a loop (while not approved) and create a container element as the approval flag.  This allows you to get out of the loop when the item has been correctly actioned.  Also create a DL element to hold your calculated deadline value;
    2.  Create a method and task to determine the next escalation point based on how many loop passes the instance has had, ie:
         Pass 1 - DL = sy-datum + 1 day;
         Pass 2 - DL = DL1 + 1 day, and so on.
    3.  Create a method to determine who should get what.  Link this to a condition so you know whether to send a mail or escalate the entire workitem.  Create the notification as a send mail within the condition;
    4.  Change the Deadline parameters in your step to "Refer.date/tim" = Expression and bind the DL element;
    5.  Set the processing obsolete property to ensure the workitem is killed when a new pass (and therefore and new deadline/agent etc) is started.
    See the following:
    This one handles the loop/obsolete concept.

  • Multiple Levels of Approval Workflow in SPD

    Hi-
    I'm building a workflow that has multiple levels of approval behind it.  I know how to set up the multiple levels of approval, but sometimes this workflow needs to have 2 approvals and sometimes it needs to have 3 approvals.  I'm hoping to pull
    the info in from a SP List, but am not sure to do with the different number of approvals needed.  Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks a lot!

    Yes you can create a column in SP List containing the Approver names. This should be a People/Group field or Single line of text can also work.
    In your SPD workflow you can track the status of the previous Approver and based on this you may allow the workflow to move to next or stop it. Assuming that you will create a Status column having two values - "Approve" and "Reject".
    If Approver selects "Approve" then workflow proceeds for next approval or else the workflow stops or if Approver chooses "Reject" then you may create a new task for the previous Approver and send him an email - Just a suggestion if you
    have back and forth approval system.
    If it is a simple sequential approval then can go for out-of-the-box Approval Workflow available. If there is some level of conditions then SPD workflow is an option.

    APPLICATION에 접속하지 않고 SYSTEM PROFILE VALUE를 SETTING 하는법
    ================================================================
    PURPOSE
    Application에 접속하지 않고 profile option value를 setting 하는 방법을
    알아본다.
    (11.5.4 ~ 11.5.10)
    Explanation
    Application에 접속하지 않고 profile option 값을 setting 하기 위해서는
    FND_PROFILE package의 SAVE function을 이용해야 한다.
    그러나 "update" 문장을 이용하여 직접 table을 update하는 것은 지원되지
    않는다.
    Test case로 아래는 "Guest User Password" profile option 값을 'GUEST/
    ORACLE'로 변경하는 자세한 절차이다.
    Application 화면에서 보여지는 name은 user가 알기 쉬운 name이긴 하지만,
    function은 profile option의 internal name을 취해야 하므로 internal name
    을 먼저 확인해야 한다.
    1.Apps user로 접속하여 아래 select 문을 이용하여 profile option의
    internal name을 확인한다.
    SQL> select profile_option_name
    from fnd_profile_options_tl
    where user_profile_option_name like
    '<Your Profile Option User Name or Part of it>';
    e.g. "Guest User Password" profile option에 대한 internal name이
    'GUEST_USER_PWD' 임을 아래 select 문으로 확인 할 수 있다.
    SQL> select profile_option_name
    from fnd_profile_options_tl
    where user_profile_option_name like 'Guest%';
    PROFILE_OPTION_NAME
    GUEST_USER_PWD
    위 userr profile option name을 대소문자 구분하여 적어 놓는다.
    2.Profile option에 필요한 값을 setting 하기 위해 아래 sample code를
    이용한다.

    Sample Code
    ===========
    DECLARE
    stat boolean;
    BEGIN
    dbms_output.disable;
    dbms_output.enable(100000);
    stat := FND_PROFILE.SAVE('GUEST_USER_PWD', 'GUEST/ORACLE', 'SITE');
    IF stat THEN
    dbms_output.put_line( 'Stat = TRUE - profile updated' );
    ELSE
    dbms_output.put_line( 'Stat = FALSE - profile NOT updated' );
    END IF;
    commit;
    END;

    SAVE function parameters에 대한 설명은 아래와 같다.
    function SAVE(
    X_NAME in varchar2,
    /* Profile name you are setting */
    X_VALUE in varchar2,
    /* Profile value you are setting */
    X_LEVEL_NAME in varchar2,

  • Multiple Level authorization

    Hi I am using OBIEE 11.1.1.5.
    I want to set the row level security and also with multiple level. for example i have one sales dashboard, i have entered using sales person id then the dashboard shows for the particular salesman sales details and i have entered as zonal sales manager then the dashboard shows the details of sales men under my zonal or i have entered to dashboard using the regional sales id i can able to view the all the regional information. How can achieve this.
    For single level authorization i can used the row level security. but multiple level how is it possible?
    Regards
    Gauthaman

    You can set up a initialization block to set up values for three variables.
    1) GROUP
    2) LEVEL or COLUMN_NAME
    3) COLUMN_VALUE
    In your single level authorization you will intialize only 1 and 3 variables, here intialize second one also and use it in the filter clause.
    like COLUMN_NAME = COLUMN_VALUE

  • Multiple TYPEELIM property values for an account

    I am trying to set automatic adjustment business rules and need to assign multiple multiple TYPEELIM property values for an account. Any idea how to achieve this?
    Here is my example. Letu2019s assume there are 2 eliminations I need to do.
    Elimination 1: Account A, B, C going to Account Y
    Elimination 2: Account A, B, D going to Account Z
    For elimination 1, to group source accounts (A,B,C), I want to assign u201CELIM1u201D for TYPEELIM property to all source account (A,B,C).
    For elimination 2, to group source accounts (A,B,D), I want to assign u201CELIM2u201D for TYPEELIM property to all source account (A,B,D).
    As you see, accounts A and B are repeated in both cases. I am not sure how I can assign both ELIM1 and ELIM2 property for these two accounts.
    Options I have thought of:
    1.     Include automatic adjustment line by line:  But since I have many accounts, this will be very lengthy and not good from maintenance point of view.
    2.     Include one ELIM1 in TYPEELIM and ELIM2 in Dimlist: But my real case is more than just two elims as mentioned above. What if there are 4 elim and includes same account?
    Any idea on this?
    Thanks in advance.
