Multiple locations for airport using profiles

Hi
I use an airport at home and then take it to work and plug it into the office network there.
In order to get it to work I have to reset it everytime otherwise it will not show up on airport admin utility. I then change the profile, then it works fine.
Is there an easier way to do this without having to reset it?
Any help much appreciated.

Change the profile before you leave the first location.
In other words when at home, before you leave for the office, change the profile to the office profile.
Before you leave for home from the office, change the profile to the home profile.

I think we will use all these tables and there is a relationship between all.

I believe you are talking about defining BIN's (locations) within a Warehouse.
This is quite possible and has been explained / discussed on this Forum a few times in the past. Though I am completely clear on how you would like to implement this I could give you some guidelines..
Creating a @location UDT is correct to maintain list of warehouse locations
UDF in Items - Warehouses (Item Master ..Inventory Data Tab..Rows)
UDF in Marketing Document Rows (When you add a UDF here U_Location then this will available in all marketing documents, both AR and AP)
You will define a location for an Item in the Item Master....
In the GRPO..you can use FMS to list the location/s for the Item being received from the Item Master and the User can Select it.
In the Sales Order, you can select the location from which the Item could be picked..
Let me know if your process / ideas are different

Multiple choices for User's Profile& Preferences System Code for GSM ?

Hello,
I’m LauraJ and I have a question regarding users being able to see in GSM the item codes for specifications entered by other business units users.
When this user is making a generic search in GSM for the common specifications shared by multiple facilities, on the search page he/she is seeing only the system code from its facility; the codes entered by sister facilities users for the same specification are visible only if he/she opens the spec.
I tried to change this into User’s Profile& Preferences System Code for GSM but I can choose only one option. How can I select multiple choices for System code?

In GSM and SCRM, you can only select one preferred System Code. But you can create an Enhancement Request for use to allow multiple.

Ldapclient and multiple location for searching

When I try to change some of the parameters with ldpaclient using semicolon part of command after semicolon is not accepted.
On http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/806-4077/6jd6blben?a=view I read that if I want to search in ldap on multiple locations I have to split multiple parameter with semicolon.
I try folowing:
ldapclient mod -a serviceSearchDescriptor=passwd:ou=east,dc=example,dc=com?one;ou=west,dc=example,dc=com?one
#ldapclient list
NS_LDAP_SERVICE_SEARCH_DESC= passwd:ou=east,dc=example,dc=com?one
but part after semicolon (;) is missing and authentication for group ou=west,dc=example,dc=com doesnt work.
Is this some bag in ldapclient?
My version of solaris is:

There is no bookmarks tab, expect you are referring to the bookmarks menu on the menu bar ("File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help") on your XP system.

Location for custom camera profiles created with X-Rite software for ACR/LR5 CreativeCloud?

I created a profile for a specific shoot and have used it in CS6 version of Photoshop on an older MAC - now I want to use it on my new MAC with CreativeCloud installed -- can't figure out where to copy the file so it will show up in the Camera Calibration profile drop down list.

Yes, thank you, very helpful! ... I am able to see my custom profile in the DropDown list of Camera Calibration options in Camera Raw now.
One tricky part ... I am also new to the feature of the "hidden folders" in OS X Mavericks ... So, I realized I could installthe X-Rite DNG profile manager from the X-Rite support site and ask that utility to open the DNG Profile folder. That way, I could see the folder path referenced in the above KnoweldgeBase article was actually there on my hard drive. Then I was able to place a copy of my custom profile in the correct spot.
Here is info from Apple Support site about how to see the hidden folder:
"The Library folder contains files used by OS X and your apps, including your personal fonts and preferences. The Library folder is hidden. If you need to open it, make sure you are in the Finder, hold down the Option key, and then choose Go > Library."

Multiple speakers for airport express

I'm trying to connect multiple speakers from my Itunes but I can't get it to work. I can get one or the other to work but I can't get both to work at the same time. I updated the software for A-express, still doesn't seem to work. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?

I have been having the same problem since I purchased an Airport Express. You can select one or the other speakers, but an error message comes up if you try and select both.
It is rather more annoying given that I have 'remote' on my iPod Touch which completely locks up if you try and change the speakers.
I have had no luck getting Apple to understand the issue - despite several emails and phone conversations with support. Ultimately I consider it to be a software development issue.

Can I maintain multiple locations for EP (External Procurement)

I want that the material should be received in repair atorage location as per repairs requirement.
But when I run MRP the material reservation is created for repairs storage location to get material from main storage location and a purchase requisition is created in main storage location to get material from vendor. I want that this requisition should be created with repairs storage location so that material will directly receive in repairs storage location.

In production version you can maintain the issue SLoc & Receive SLoc. You can assign an existing production version to you purchasing info records (purchasing organisation data1 > version field).
Via this maybe you can realize your idea.
PLEASE FORGET...in case of subcontracting where we use BOM maybe it could be used...

Default File Location for Word using GPO

I have just launched Office 2013 for my users.   Those users access Word and Excel via Terminal Servers.   So, I need ways to set the defaults for these products so I don't have to touch each users login/machine.   I have been
able to use Group Policy for everything I need except in Word and the default file location.   I have tried the GPO administrative template for Office 2013 and went to Microsoft Word 2013 > Word Options > Advanced > File Locations and set
the path to N:\
Did the gpupdate /force and nothing changed.                               However, Group Policy will set
it in Excel.
So then I tried using the registry template in GPO.     Here I used HKEY_CURRENT_USER with path to
Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Word\Options and the value name is DefaultPath
Value data is N:\
That doesn't work either.
HOW are we suppose to set defaults to our network in Word.
I have also did the entry in GPO to "block signing into Office"                     None Allowed
We don't and won't be using SkyDrive in our type of business

Based on my tested in my environment, I went to set the Default File Location via group policy.
Word: Microsoft Word 2013/Word Options/Advanced/File Location/ and change the Default File Location
Excel: Microsoft Excel 2013/Excel Options/Save and change Default file location
Both of them works fine. As you said " However, Group Policy will set it in Excel." Does it mean that you set Word and Excel via two group policies at the same time, but it only works in Excel?
If it is, please try to re-download and change the
Word ADMX to test.
If the issue still exist, please try to use Gpresult command Or RSOP to check group policy result on client.
When troubleshooting group policy issues, we use the gpresult command to confirm whether GPOs are really applied to the client (computer/user). You can run the following command in a command prompt:
gpresult /z > c:\policy.txt

Best Mounting Location For AirPort Extreme 802.11ac

Hello,
I have used various models of the AirPort Extreme over the years and always mounted them at the highest peak of the ceiling in my home. It was always stated that they transmitted in roughly 360 degrees. Now I just upgraded to an AirPort Extreme 802.11ac model and have a third-party accessory mount that is metal for the first time (see attached picture). So, this changes the game somewhat. If this AirPort model also transmits in all directions, then that might mean I need to mount it with the metal mount to the ceiling or even inverted. Of course, just an initial test with this mount on the unit and tacked on the wall upright/horizontally with duct tape shows great reception IN the whole home. I just want to get the most efficient operation with 12 acres of land OUTSIDE. HA!
So, any comment on this from those much smarter than I?

I think you are over analysing..
Mount it at the same height as the receiver.. more or less. In a convenient spot.. where you can run the cables easily.
I doubt the stand will matter a lot.. and I would not turn it upside down.

Location for images used for login identity?

Where are the images that are used for a user at the login screen? I used a picture for a user that I no longer have and I would like to retrieve it, though I can not figure out where it is stored within Tiger. It does not seem to be a picture that I have in my iPhoto library, so I am guessing Tiger copies the image I selected to another location?

Look in the folder /Library/Caches/ on your hard disk for this image; if it is here, it should have a name along the lines of com.apple.user501pictureCache.tiff.

We are trying to setup AP EFT (e-Text) payments for Germany. The amount field is being selected from:
DocumentPayable[1]/PaymentAmount/Value
When we run the process, the EFT file is generated correctly.
However, the users in Germany want the Number format to be 10.000,00 so we have set the Profile option ICX: Numeric Characters FOR THE USER to 10.000,00. The Site level format remains as 10,000.00
After making this change, NO OUTPUT FILE IS CREATED. There is no error in the log file either. Has anyone come across such a problem?

Different download locations for podcasts/videos?

I primarily use a MBP, so I have to think about limited HD space.
Does anyone know of a way to set iTunes to download podcasts to an external drive, without having to change my iTunes library location?
It seems like it would be a really good idea for iTunes to support multiple locations for multiple file types (videos especially).

If you hold down the Option key when you launch iTunes you can have multiple libraries.
If you set up a new one just for podcasts on an external drive would that work?

Multiple License for different Labview version

A coworker is trying to tell me that he read somewhere on the NI forums or knowledge base that with a multiple license it is possible to use
the maximum number of licenses on EACH version of Labview. That is, if there are 5 licenses available that there could be 5 copies of 8.5 and 5 copies of 9.0, etc. available for concurrent use. That seems pretty unlikely to me. Can someone clarify?

If you have a single license then the different license types are the different options you have for using the software. So, you could use your single license as a "Computer-Based License" and only activate it on one computer for multiple people to have access to. The other option you have is to use it as a "Named-User License" and install it on 3 computers in different locations for your use. For instance, you could install it on your personal PC/laptop, your office computer, and your labroom computer. This is designed for your use only and will allow you to use LabVIEW at different locations during the day.

More than one location for the same library?

My library is on an external drive which is almost full. Is it possible to just extend and continue the same library to additional drives? How do I specify multiple locations for the same library?

To add to Roddy's post I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your original Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process and move it to another location on your HD until you're satisfied the separation process is completed and what you want.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.
