Multiple records Issue

Hi,
Can any one help me on this issue, I am working production support. For quality cube if one of the notificationss 10044059 Problem Group is updated in sap. It is loading with updated record in the cube through ODs but when I execute the report it is displaying old and new Problem Group for one notification as below.
Notification,Created On,         Priority,status,   Problem Group,Def.Qty. Int
10044059, 10/4/2006, DEF./MANUF.MINOR, CNK-PROD,     6.000 EA

The client wants it has to display latest Problem Group "CN-OE" for the notification "10044059". The problem Group "CNK-PROD" record should not to display because that is old one.
Please any one let me know how to do this.

I have verified in ODS the problem group is data part and Overwrite is there already in ODS. In First delta load it has loaded as below. Then to CUBE
Notification,Created On, Priority, Problem Group,Def.Qty. Int
10044059, 10/4/2006, DEF./MANUF.MINOR, CNK-PROD, 6.000 EA
And after two days the problem group has updated as CN-OE in SAP and in next delta it has loaded as below into ODS and it is got overwritten in ODS and it has moved to cube.

But when I run the query it is displaying two records for notification from the cube.

Data merge CS5, will not create multiple records.

I have my base elements on the master page and two text boxes on page 1 on of a single page document. I am creating raffle tickets so there is box on the left side of the page and the right side of the page. I need this step 3 times down the sheet.
I've tried using a comma delimited and tab delimited file. These files have two columns with numbers 1-500 and each with a different heading. Ticket 1 and Ticket 2.
When I turn on multiple records nothing step and repeats. It looks exactly the same as a single record. I make raffle tickets like these quite often but the template I've used for the last few years is 1 up, built to the size of the ticket, and everything works great. I end up with 500 pages, send through our impositioning software then print.
In this case, my client wants to print the files themselves and have them stepped up 4 per sheet.
Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

It takes the 1-up PDF and allows it to be placed into InDesign as it it were prepared in an n-up imposition.
It isn't a fix to the multiple record issue that the OP has, but rather a workaround.

Multiple records for a single transaction - Issue in LSMW

Hi,
i'm facing a issue in LSMW
i have the data coming up in the flat file. the data which constitutes the single transaction consists of data from multiple records from the flat file..
suppose we have 10 records in the flat file... and all the 10 records related to ony 2 transactions i.e say 6 records to first transaction and next 4 records to next transaction.
we have a direct input method to handle this data like field1 for first record, field2 for 2nd record and so on...
while uploading, we will get all the records one by one into our source structure. My question is can we handle this scenario in lsmw? if yes, pls suggest

this is regarding the asset creation via AS01..
we are getting the flat file in that way. Lets assume like this:
suppose for one transaction we may need to fill 5 depreciation keys and for another option only 3 dep. keys we need to fill.
then in the flat file, we can get like 5 records for first transaction i.e asset and 3 records for 2nd transaction
Can we handle this via lsmw

ME01 LSMW multiple record for same material issue.

Hi Experts,
I have an issue with multiple record for the same material and plant when I upload the data from the file. Lets I have the records.
Material        Plant              Start date      Enddate        Vendor          Porg.
1     0010     20060101     99991231     2     0010
1     0010     20060101     99991231     3     0010
When I upload the above data there are 2 IDOCs created when I am using the method LSMW-IDOC method, but only last record is getting updated and the first one is not getting updated in ME01 souce list. But I am getting the success message for both IDOC in LSMW. So I am not sure how to fix this why only last record is updated and not other records??

why do you have 2 idocs?
wouldn't be 1 idoc with 2 items be more logical?
1 record in structure E1EORDH
and 2 records in structure E1EORDM
I believe your 2 IDOCs get posted, but I think your 2nd Idoc overwrites the values entered from the first IDOC.

Multiple record update extension issue (felixone

I just purchased the Multiple Records at Once Extension by
Felixone. I have put it to good use but have noticed an issue with
it. PHP MySQL.
I am using Dreamweaver 8 with the Repeat Region behaviour,
and the Recordset Navigation Bar, along with the extension to
update multiple values at once from a recordset.
If there are more records than can be displayed on the first
page of navigation. E.g. Showing records 1-10 of 15, when doing a
multiple table update (in this case changing a single value from 0
to 1 and vice versa) a MYSQL error comes up. The operation is still
completed but it doesn't go to the page specified after the update
in the extension, but stays on the current page with the following
error at the top:
You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that
corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to
use near '' at line 1
In the mean time, to overcome the issue, I am able to display
all records on a single page, however once the records build up it
won't be acceptable to have a potentialy very long list of records
when I would like to display only 15 at a time.
Has anyone had any experience of this, and if so would you be
willing to help me. I have emailed felixone but I need this sorting
out ASAP.
Notice I have changed the show results to 5000, as going into
the repeat region behaviour and saying 'show all' would not do

SCD issue when multiple records in the source dataset have same natural key

When I load a dataset into a slowly changing dimension, sometimes the dataset contains multiple records for the same natural key. The rows are different by the column last_update_date (among other possible differences).
The behavior I want is this: if during an ODI job run, the source dataset contains multiple records for one natural key, all records will load into the dimension, but only the record with the greatest last_update_date gets marked as the current record in the dimension. Right now, ODI is marking all of the incoming rows for the natural key as current. Any ideas? Thanks!

Last_update_date is on the source but is not being sent to the target. Thus, it doesn't have an SCD behavior. I think my solution will be to pre-process the incoming records so I don't attempt to load multiple rows per natural key. I was just hoping someone here knew of an easier solution.
If it helps, except for the SK, NK, Current Flag, and Effective Date fields, all SCD behaviors are "add row on change".

Multiple Records Data Merge issue

Hi all, could really use some help here, I've been trying to solve this for hours now:
Made 3 different designs for labels that I'm printing based off of Avery label templates for InDesign. When I go ahead to do my data merge on any of them, I select "Multiple Records" under Records per Document Page, but the preview and the actual creation just spit out a single unique label onto each new page. For example, I'm using 2x4" labels on 2 of these, so it should print 10 per page, but instead of putting 10 unique labels on a page, it puts each new label on a new page. Therefore, instead of 100 pages for the 1,000 labels I'm printing, I end up with 1,000 pages.
I know to double check the size constraints on the text box and make sure it fits when duplicated, and to my understanding, that is looking like it's fine. I'm also fairly certain that the CSV files I'm using are in the right format, too. I'm pretty stuck at this point as to what I need to do to fix this problem, any guidance would be awesome. Below are screenshots of what I'm looking at, please let me know if there's anything else I can provide that would help diagnose the problem.

I thinnk the easiest way to deal with this would be to make sure all the template information from Avery is on the master page. Leave it active while you do the layout in the upper left position ON THE DOCUMENT PAGE, then assign the None master to leave nothing showing but your placholders and added art.
Reassign the template master after the merge.

How to get multiple records using fn-bea:execute-sql()

I created Proxy service(ALSB3.0) to get records from DB table. I have used Xquery function(fn-bea:execute-sql()). Using simple SQL query I got single record, but my table having multiple records. Please suggest how to get multiple records using fn-bea:execute-sql() and how to assign them in ALSB variable.

Am facing the same issue stated above that I couldnt get all the records in the table that am querying in the Proxyservice.
For example:
fn-bea:execute-sql('EsbDataSource', 'student', 'select Name from StudentList' ) is the query that am using to fetch the records from the table called StudentList which contains more than one records like
Id Name
01 XXX
02 YYY
03 ZZZ
I tried to assign the result of the above query in a variable and while trying to log the variable, I can see the below
<student>
<Name>XXX</Name>
</student>
I want to have all the records from my table in xml format but it's not coming up. I get the value only from the first row of my table.
Please suggest.

Retrive Multiple Records Into A database Block

i would like to know if there is any document or references wich illustrait the way of retriving Multi records from a procedure built on database side into a database block using form 6i ??
My Problem is : i create a procedure in the database which retrive a multiple records and the variable from procedure (out) are the same value from Form side (in). but it always fetch the whole records at the same record position in the block as the cursor raised on . i found a way explian how to mintain a set or record using a record type and create a table of that record type , but still don't' know how deal calling the procedure from the form side .
Any advice of this issue will be greatfull and if sample of code provided will be better

If the order type is 'Returns' or 'Credit Memo' then the figure will be changed to positive value. But the cube has got both negative and positive value for the order line.

Hi,
the code you provided does not duplicate records.
Most probably the records are duplicated in the start routine, or the key figure is copied in the update rule (so you get 0AMOUNT en 0AMOUNT_01).
So I'd check your start routine and take a look if the key figures are copied.

File Adapter - Multiple Record Types to same Target

I am currently reading in a fixed length file and loading into a table.
The issue is, some of the lines in my file differ by two spaces at the end. See example below.
For example,
Record 1 might look like :
DD/MM/YY - length of 8
Record 2 might look like:
DD/MM/YY{space}{space} - length of 10
and they both go into the same date column of my target
Question 1) Is there a way for BPEL to skip the two spaces at the end of each line for Record 2
Queston 2) I have currently created multiple record types for the two types but it won't allow me in my transformation to map them both to the "date" column in the target table. It says multiple nodes cannot be mapped to the target

Unfortunately the IKM SQLDR doesn't have the "when" condition to be wrote at ctl file.
If you wish a simple solution, just add an option (drop me a email if you want a LKM with this)
The point is:
With a single option, you will control the when ctl clause and, for instance, can define:
1) create 2 datastores (1 for each file)
2) the first position will be a column at each datastore
3) write the when condition to this first column at the LKM in the interface.

How can I compare values in a multiple records block

I have a form with multiples records whit a date in each record. I need test if the date typed in record 2 is greather than the date on record 1, if the date typed in record 3 is greather than the date on record 1 and so on. How cai I do it???is grather than the date on record 1

Venelin's code works perfectly, but if you try to use it in a When-Validate-Item or When-Validate-Record trigger, it won't work since you can't invoke navigation routines (FIRST_RECORD, NEXT_RECORD) from these two triggers (among others).
First, we have to understand that Forms wasn't built to perform multi-row validations. It's a fact.
Second, the way I prefer to do this is: let the user enter the data as he wants.
When he commits, in a POST-FORMS-COMMIT trigger, you can check the values using SELECT statements, because they are already written to the data tables. If you don't like them, just issue a RAISE FORM_TRIGGER_FAILURE and the transaction gets rollbacked (and the inserts will be undone).

Why are you manually populating your data block when Oracle Forms will do this for you? Oracle Forms is tightly integrated with the Oracle Database. You should just base your Forms data block on the ISSUED table. Then you can filter the records displayed by setting the WHERE Clause property to ID = :BLOCK1.ID or you can dynamically set it with code using the SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY('BLOCK_NAME',DEFAULT_WHERE,'ID = :BLOCK.ID') built-in.
Then, the only code you would need in your Button's When-Button-Pressed trigger would be:

END;This is the point of InoL's reply. When a Form is based on a table, you can use the "Enter Query" and "Execute Query" built-in features to query and display records.

Multiple records in BPM using Switch

I was doing File to RFC to Webservice sceanrio using multiple records.
For that i have used

In switch, i was checking the condition like, if the material is present, then it got the first branch or else it should go to next branch.
In switch i was facing the problem, if i give multiple records with the same value, i am getting the output. If i give different values like for one record, material is present and the other record material is not present, then i am not getting the output.
Could you please help in this issue.

The standard behaviour of Switch is that in case of multiple records, the Last Record value is taken and checked with the switch condition.
U break all the records into individual records usinf "Recordset per message = 1" or transform one message with multiple records into multiple records, save it into multiline container variable and then use Block with mode ForEach.

Data Merge: Multiple records in a Multiple Page Document

I looked in the InDesign help and under Limitations for merging multiple records it reads:
You cannot merge multiple records if the data fields appear on a document page in a document with multiple pages, or if data fields appear on multiple master pages.
I'm using InDesign CS 5.5. I produce a 4-page newsletter printed on both sides as a booklet, folded and stapled and each folded page size is 8.5 x 11 (a four page booklet on 11×17 paper) I want to print our 250-name mailing list on the outer cover but have discovered that it only prints the whole thing then staples it or I need to manually print each issue per name.
Is there a way around this? If we have to use a third party software, would you let me know what to look for? Any suggestions are appreciated.

How many names are you trying to put on each newsletter? I suspect only one, and that you've misiniterpreted the Help file. That warning applies to putting multiple records from the data file on the SAME page, like a sheet of labels.
Just so you know, using Data Merge to do a mailing where you are addressing multiple copies of a static document is potentially VERY inefficent. Data Merge needs to make a page for every page that will be printed, so if you have a 4-page newsletter with 1,000 subscribers you will wind up with a 4,000 page document just to get the name and address on one page, and your printer will be re-processing all those duplicate pages for each newsletter. If you have a commercial grade copier/printer there may be a variable data printing module availble for it that will merge your list at print time so you need only send a 4-page file and print 1000 copies (or you can send the job out to a printer who can handle this kind of work), or if you want to print in-house anddon't have VDP capabilities, I recommend doing two files.
The first file should be the side of the sheet that doesn't change. Print that first as a single page doing x plus a few extra copies (in case of jams in the printer when doing the second half) where x is the number of newsletters you need. The second file is the other side of the sheet with the addresses, which you do as the Data Merge, and will end up as x pages. After printing the first side, flip the stack and reload so you are printing on the blank side, then send the merge document, asking for one copy.
