Multiple root in Orgchart

Dear All,
Is it possible when the user belongs to 2 orgunits or more to have a virtual orgunit root and under this the user will have his root orgunits?
Now when I implemented the dynamic rooting for user. it shows the root object as the first orgunit the user belongs to. and discared the second one.
Best regards

Hi Ibrahim,
I have been thinking about this and struggle to think how it can be done in Live. There are 2 issues to consider:
1. HR-OCI returns an entire structure as XML so if you can add the dummy root objects, these will show up in the structure for other users to see.
2. The user authentication object needs to have the dummy object ID in it as the starting point. As this would be derived by a function module in the HR-OCI configuration it would not be available in a SAP table to be added to the object.
For what purposes are you performing this task? Maybe we can find a functional solution that might work.
Best regards,
Luke

    Thanks,

    Hi,
    I see at least 3 errors
    1. <RegionRenderer> <encodeAll> The region component with id: pt1:r1 has detected a page fragment with multiple root components.
    the page fragment should only have a single component under the jsp:root tag. If you see more than one, wrap them in e.g. an af:panelGroupLayout or af:group component
    2. SAPFunction.jspx/.xml" has an invalid character ".".
    check the document (you can open it in JDeveloper if the customization was a seeded one. Seems that editing this file smething has gone bad
    3. The expression "#{bindings..regionModel}" (that was specified for the RegionModel "value" attribute of the region component with id "pePanel") evaluated to null.
    "pageeditorpanel" does seem to be missing in the PageDef file of the page holding the region

  • Multiple Root elements in the XSD Schema

    Hi Dear MDM gurus,
    I have manually created an XSD Schema and I can import it in the Syndicator without any problem.
    I have 3 different Root elements in the schema that I want to use and map to the corresponding table of this type.
    In my Syndicator screen in the Rood dropdown box I can see all three of the Root elements that I have in the schema.
    If I select the first Root element - everything goes fine and I can do my mapping, save the map, etc.
    The problem is that if I select the second or third root element to do the mapping for them, the syndicator does not show the structure in the Item Mapping after that.
    I tried moving the Second root element of the schema and make it first and it works with it, but then the other two are not appearing and I have the same issue.
    Does MDM support only one Root element in the Schema? If that's the case, why does it show all three of them in the dropdown?
    Here is an example:
    1. If I have them in this order in my XSD
              <xs:element name="ManufacturerGroupNumber" type="ManufacturerGroupNumbers"/>
              <xs:element name="SupplierGroupNumber" type="SupplierGroupNumbers"/>
              <xs:element name="SupplierLocationNumber" type="Suppliers"/>
    I can only see the structure when I select the "ManufacturerGroupNumber".
    2. If I have them in the Schema in this order
              <xs:element name="SupplierLocationNumber" type="Suppliers"/>
              <xs:element name="SupplierGroupNumber" type="SupplierGroupNumbers"/>
              <xs:element name="ManufacturerGroupNumber" type="ManufacturerGroupNumbers"/>
    I can only see the structure when I select the first one again "SupplierLocationNumber" and I can only do the mapping for it.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Boris

    Hello Satish,
    Thank you for your quick response.
    I read some of the architectural approaches and XML specifications and depending on your design, you may have only one Root element or in rare cases Several Root elements. In my case, I was advised by our PI experts to use Multiple Root elements and this gives me the following:
    Advantages:
    u2022 The reusability of the schema definition is available for all types and all elements defined in the global namespace.
    Disadvantages:
    u2022 Since there are many global elements, there are many valid XML documents.
    I initially had the schema as you suggested, but they didn't like it in PI and advised me to change it with having multiple roots.
    What I'm trying to figure out is if there is a bug in MDM that does not allow to use the rest of the root elements, so I can open an OSS message.
    Thanks,
    Boris

  • MDS Customization Problem with multiple root components

    Hello,
    Oracle JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0 and WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.5.0
    I am using Oracle MDS Customization class with the following classes:
    oracle.adf.view.rich.change.MDSDocumentChangeManager
    org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.change.ChangeManager
    org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.change.MoveChildComponentChange
    Based on these classes I am moving UI components
    <af:panelStretchLayout>
    <f:facet name="center">
    <af:region />
    </f:facet>
    </af:panelStretchLayout>
    into another component thanks to the MDS.
    Once I do the movement and persist, I receive the following waning message:
    *<RegionRenderer> <encodeAll> The region component with id: pt1:r1:0:pt2:r1:0:r1 has detected a page fragment with multiple root components. Fragments with more than one root component may not display correctly in a region and may have a negative impact on performance. It is recommended that you restructure the page fragment to have a single root component.*
    When I run the application in Oracle JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0, it work fine, but when I deploy it on WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.5.0 it is not working.
    I receive the same warning message on the server and in JDeveloper.
    I think that MDS makes a copy of the components that I move because of that it says me that "a page fragment with multiple root components"
    The problem is not because of duplication any of the tags <af:document> <f:view><f:form> <html> <head> <body>
    After the movement and persistence, I also call the FacesContext to reset its view root with the following code:
    FacesContext context =FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    String currentView = context.getViewRoot().getViewId();
    ViewHandler vh = context.getApplication().getViewHandler();
    UIViewRoot x = vh.createView(context, currentView);
    x.setViewId(currentView);
    context.setViewRoot(x);
    The idea is that the entire JSF tree to be rebuild on entering page with aim to clear previously drag and drop settings.
    Do you know how I can overcome the problem on the server WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.5.0?
    This worked on Oracle JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0 and now the problem is with Oracle JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0.
    Regards,
    Niki

    Hi,
    what the error means is that you have more than one node under the jsp:root node of the fragment. Say the content of your fragment is
    <af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl1">
    </af:PanelGrouPLayout>
    Then this is okay
    if you have
    <af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl1">
    </af:PanelGrouPLayout>
    <af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl2">
    </af:PanelGrouPLayout>
    or
    <af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl1">
    </af:PanelGrouPLayout>
    <af:commandButton id="cb1"/>
    Then these mean duplicated root components. The JDeveloper IDE flags this as Warnings (Structure Window) when selecting the page fragment

  • "detected a page fragment with multiple root components" warning

    I am getting a warning on the standalone WLS when I run my page that contains a taskflow as region. I am using a page fragment in my taskflow.
    <Warning> <oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.renderkit.rich.RegionRenderer> <ADF_FACES-60099> <The region component with id: ptMain:r1 has detected a page fragment with multiple root components. Fragments with more than one root component may not display correctly in a region and may have a negative impact on performance. It is recommended that you restructure the page fragment to have a single root component.>
    The warning states the obvious, I have everything within a panelheader in my page fragment. Also, I do not get the warning on the integrated WLS. Any ideas as to why this warning is still popping up in the log? I am using JDev 11.1.1.3.
    Thanks,

  • Create multiple root in a JTree??????very urgent..pl

    hello
    i have a jtree which takes a defaultMutableTreenode as its parameter.
    My problem is that i have to create multiple root.
    and what i get with this is a single root at the top.
    what is the solution for creating multiple roots in a jtree.
    pl. help its very urgent
    thanx
    hussain

    Hello Hussain,
    I found in the sourcecode of JTree the following constructor which might is be helpful for you:
    * Returns a <code>JTree</code> with each element of the specified
    * <code>Vector</code> as the
    * child of a new root node which is not displayed. By default, the
    * tree defines a leaf node as any node without children.
    * @param value a <code>Vector</code>
    * @return a <code>JTree</code> with the contents of the
    *          <code>Vector</code> as children of the root node
    * @see DefaultTreeModel#asksAllowsChildren
    public JTree(Vector value) {
    this(createTreeModel(value));
    this.setRootVisible(false);
    this.setShowsRootHandles(true);

  • Hierarchical query with multiple roots

    Hi,
    I'm trying to write a sql query to find blocking lock in database. The idea is to get the blocker in 1st column, comma separated list of waiters in 2nd column and number of waiters in 3rd column.
    As of now i use below query to get a tree structure
    WITH lk AS
         (SELECT  blocking_session||' (Inst-'||blocking_instance || ')' blocker,
                 SID||' (Inst-'||inst_id || ')' waiter
            FROM gv$session
           WHERE blocking_instance IS NOT NULL AND blocking_session IS NOT NULL)
    SELECT     LPAD (' ', 2 * (LEVEL - 1)) || waiter lock_tree
          FROM (SELECT *
                  FROM lk
                UNION ALL
                SELECT DISTINCT 'root', blocker
                           FROM lk
                          WHERE blocker NOT IN (SELECT waiter
                                                  FROM lk))
    CONNECT BY PRIOR waiter = blocker
    START WITH blocker = 'root';
    Result:-

  • Read XML response with multiple root elements

    Hi ,
    I am trying to achieve the below scenario but unable to do so.Please help urgently.
    I am getting a response from a service which has multiple root elements.these root elements can change at runtime..I need to read the different root elements and extract data from its sub elements.
    Regards...
    Hoping for an anwser..

    i assume on runtime the service just returns 1 rootnode, but this rootnode can change
    you could use a switch after the invoke
    if $response/myroot1
    assign $response/myroot to myroot1_var
    if $response/myroot2
    assign $response/myroot to myroot2_var
    etc
    so you check what's in the root node before you assign to you temp variable
    or if you have logic which is specific based on this root nod you can just implement all these branches in the switch and execute logic in there based on the selected rootnode
    several implementations are possible

  • How to create multiple root node in a tree

    Hi Experts,
    As per my requirement I have two requirements for  tree creation:
    1) Create a Tree which can display multiple root node.
    2) Cretae a Tree which can display data directy without any folder.
    I am new in Tree development.
    Can any body help me out to get it done.
    If it is not possible then also i need a confirmation from experts.
    Regards,
    Madhu

    use method add_node of the class Cl_gui_alv_tree to add a node to the tree.
    In case of root node the parameter lv_relat_key is passed as blank.In order to create further child nodes pass the node key of the parent as the relat key of the child and use the method again.

  • OT: question about multiple root directories

    ok, so on this website i just transferred to a new host, i
    password
    protected a directory, and for many people (possibly
    everyone) it is
    asking for the login info twice or three times before it lets
    you in. i
    contacted the host tech support, who gave me an explanation
    that i don't
    think makes sense. or maybe it does, but i don't think
    applies to my
    problem. and even if it does, they didn't offer any advice on
    how to
    solve the problem, just what might be causing it. bad tech
    support.
    anyway, i had a different idea about what the might be. there
    are two
    root directories on the server: public_html and www. they
    both have the
    same files, and therefore my protected directory is protected
    in both
    places. to me, that seems like it could be why it's asking
    for login
    info more than once.
    so, i want to find out if this is the case by deleting the
    one i'm not
    uploading to. so basically, my question is, if i have chosen
    public_html
    as the directory that i upload to, is it safe to delete the
    www
    directory? or is there a reason that i need two root
    directories and,
    essentially, two copies of my site on the server?
    i realize these are probably questions best suited for my
    host, but i'm
    unimpressed with their tech support so far (though i like
    everything
    else about them), and i'm confident that someone here will be
    able to
    answer this question for me.
    thanks!

    ok, well that's good to know! thanks.
    also, i changed my mind about the tech support response.
    here's what he

    Typically when you are seeing multiple login prompts like
    what you
    describe it has to do with content/site linking.
    Here is a rather wordy explanation:
    When entering a password-protected web site for the first
    time, you
    will occasionally notice that you are asked for your
    password twice.
    This may happen immediately after you entered the password
    the first
    time, or it may happen when you click on the first link
    after
    authenticating the first time.
    This happens for a very simple, but nonetheless confusing,
    reason,
    again having to do with the way that the browser caches the
    login
    information.
    Login information is stored on the browser based on the
    authentication realm, specified by the AuthName directive,
    and by
    the server name. In this way, the browser can distinguish
    between
    the Private authentication realm on one site and on another.
    So, if
    you go to a site using one name for the server, and internal
    links
    on the server refer to that server by a different name, the
    browser
    has no way to know that they are in fact the same server.
    For example, if you were to visit the URL
    http://example.com/private/,
    which required authentication, your
    browser would remember the supplied username and password,
    associated with the hostname example.com. If, by virtue of
    an
    internal redirect, or fully-qualified HTML links in pages,
    you are
    then sent to the URL
    http://www.example.com/private/,
    even though
    this is really exactly the same URL, the browser does not
    know this
    for sure, and is forced to request the authentication
    information
    again, since example.com and www.example.com
    <
    http://www.example.com> are
    not exactly the same hostname. Your
    browser has no particular way to know that these are the
    same web site.
    at first i thought that didn't make any sense because i've
    been using
    the same url every time. but after paying closer attention
    during the
    login process, i see that he's right. i've been typing in the
    url with
    the www, but once you get logged in, there is no www. so i
    tried typing
    it in without the www, and i got right in with the first
    attempt.
    so, i suppose my question now is, can i make it so that
    typing in the
    url with the www, lets you in on the first login attempt? or
    should i
    just tell everyone to leave out the www?
    thanks for the help!

  • Multiple Root Bridges for VLAN1

    Greetings,
    I have an interesting problem with my switch environment. I have (2) 3550s acting as my distribution layer (labeled d1 and d2) and (3) 3548s acting at my access layer (labeled a1, a2 and a3). Each access switch has a single dot1q trunk link to 1 of the distribution switches (a1 and a3 link via gig-E to d1; a2 links via gig-E to d2). d1 and d2 have a single dot1q trunk link and a single routed link between them.
    Currently, I am having an issue with VLAN1 on a few different levels.
    Interface VLAN 1 is configured for HSRP on d1 and d2, with d2 being primary for HSRP and also it should be the root bridge for VLAN 1 (spanning-tree vlan 1 pri 4096).
    First and most obvious to me when I first started looking at this problem (I recently started working at this company) is the the layer3 interface for VLAN 1 on d1 is showing down/down, even though there are trunk ports carrying VLAN 1 ok. I cannot see a reason the VLAN interface should be down/down. I have tried shutting and no shutting the interface with no luck.
    The second problem is there are 4 switches (d1, d2, a1 and a3, recall both a1 and a3 have single dot1q trunks to d1) that all think they are the root bridge for VLAN1 even though I have the spanning-tree priority on d1 set lower to be root bridge. According to d1 spanning-tree, all the ports are in "DWN" status:
    Interface Role Sts Cost Prio.Nbr Type
    Gi0/7 Desg DWN 4 128.7 P2p
    Gi0/9 Desg DWN 4 128.9 P2p
    Gi0/10 Desg DWN 4 128.10 P2p
    Gi0/12 Desg DWN 4 128.12 P2p
    The weird part to me is that I have ~25 VLANs configured over these trunks and the rest of them don't have a problem with finding the correct root bridge.
    Has anyone seen such oddness when it comes to root bridge election or the problem with VLAN 1 being down? Perhaps some advice on what else to look for in the configs?
    Thanks for any information.

    Thanks for the reply. I see VLAN 1 being trunked and allowed from both sides on multiple links, d1 to d2 and d1 to a3, so I would think the autostate would see this and have VLAN 1 on d1 UP/UP.

  • ITunes Producer errors for unsupported mime and multiple root file

    I've been working on this for hours and can't seem to find an answer for why these keep coming up:
    ERROR ITMS-9000: "Unsupported mime type for 9781592996322.epub: null" at Book (MZItmspBookPackage)
    ERROR ITMS-9000: "META-INF/container.xml in 9781592996322.epub must contain one and only one root file reference." at Book (MZItmspBookPackage)
    Does ANYONE know what the first one means? I'm looking at the container.xml and I only have one root file reference there, so I'm confused as to why it's saying that it contains more than one. HELP!!!
    Detach, to answer your question, I compressed the epub using InDesign.
    Thanks, in advance, for any help anyone can provide!!!

    Hi! I have the same problem, and wasted much time to resolve it too. I still not resolved it completely, but found something new: when I've run Transporter with option -m verify, i.e. in checking mode, I've seen in log the next message:
    <internal_error>Unable to unzip:c:\_importmanager\_publish\20110811_145116\0\ibooks\9785428318173.itmsp\9 785428318173.epub</internal_error>
    I don't have an idea why it cannot unzip and continuing to investigate. Hope it could help you.

  • Find multiple  root organization

    Hi experts,
    There is a Org hierarchy where there is more than one root organization
    The question is: How can I find these companies?
    Example:
    The main company is "YXZ Group" and it has 3 subsidiary companies: Comapny X, Y and Z
    In the SAP system there are 3 root company in the system::
    X Company
    Y Company
    Z Company
    How can I identify them?: As I see the only way is to check every Org Unit  in the HRP1000 table, and find those org units, where there is no B002 relation. Is there a better way?
    Thanks
    N.

    Hi N
    plz check if the there exists a Z relationship T778V and T778A-eva path.also please try TCD  S_AHR_61016528
