Multiple selection in common dialog box

Hi friends
I have to select a multiple file from specified directory and disply it in image file, when i m using get_file_name function it allows me to select single file and read image file one by one but i want select not all some file from directory and whatsoever file is selected it will display it in image file.
please suggest me.........

My CUPS printers bleed their settings into both printers when selected through Print Dialog Box

I currently have 2 printers setup through CUPS. One printer has printing options set as 100x230 page size and one as A4.
When the FF printer dialog pops up, the default printer has its settings displayed fine and printing by clicking print produces the correct output to the printer.
If however when I go into the print dialog box from scratch(default is displayed) and select the other printer and check the printer "Page Setup", it has inherited the Paper Size(100x230) from the default printer and not the settings for this now selected printer which should be "A4".
This is quite frustrating as when my users go in and select the correct printer for the print job, they need to make sure that they select the printer, then the page size and then click print.
It might not sound like a big deal but they are printing using both options simultaneously throughout the day and one printer is fine, but the other one requires this messing with on every print.
What I think needs to be done, is every time the printer is selected in the dialog box from the list, firefox should request the full printer info from CUPS and completely refresh the printer settings thus overwriting the previous selected printer settings.
After all, these settings are only applicable at the point the user wishes to hit the print button.
Is there anything I'm missing here?
It seems this has always been a problem.
Help me as it's driving me mad :-(

Is this on one sole PC that has multiple printers available to it? <br />
Or are you printing to multiple shared printers across a network from multiple PC's?
Also if that is from multiple PC's, do they all run the same operating system? <br />

Select Imamge source dialog box won't show up, how to repair it?

My CS4 is doing very strange now, a lot of function is missing, the Select Image Source dialog box won't show up, the blue bar on top of menu bar won't show. Seems a lot of functions are disabled, is there a way to bring it back to normal?

If the Select Image Source dialog box doesn't appear, it sounds as though you have accidentally changed Dreamweaver Preferences.
Open the Preferences panel from the Edit menu (Windows) or the Dreamweaver menu (Mac).
Select the General category from the list on the left.
Make sure the "Show dialog when inserting objects" check box is selected.
If the blue bar on the top of a Spry menu doesn't display, in the View menu select the Visual Aids submenu, and make sure there is a check mark alongside Invisible Elements (clicking it toggles the option on and off).
If other settings have gone wrong, it's a good idea to delete your personal configuration folder. There are instructions on how to find it in the link supplied by Jon in the previous post.

Keyboard input to change the default selection in a dialog box.

Let say I close a file that I had just edited without saving. I'll then have a dialog box "do you want to save?" with "yes" as default. If I do not want to save my changes, how can I select "no" or "cancel" with the keyboard?
I'm sure this is an easy one for a long time Mac user.

As a matter a fact there is. Just hit the first letter of the choice n = no, c=cancel etc. Edit. I tested this in Word for Mac and it worked but other programs don't so the method below is best.
An alternate method is to tab to the choice and hit enter.

How can I export multiple selections in a list box into a .csv file?

Hi all, I've created a form in Acrobat X with a list box enabled for multiple selections. When I try to export the filled out form into a .csv file, only the first selection shows up. Can anyone help me figure out how to get all selections to export? Thanks!

Once a recipient fills out the form (which has two questions with list boxes and multiple selection enabled) they send the completed form back to me. When I open the completed form, I am given the option add the completed form to a reponse file which was set up when I distributed the form. When I open the reponse file, it lists all of the responses in rows, and the values that were chosen in the form are arranged in columns. In this file, the list boxe columns have multiple values, separated by commas (which is what I'm looking for). At this point there is an option to export into a .csv file or an .xml file. If I choose the .csv file and open in excel, only the first selection shows in the list box column rather than all selections that were initially made by the responder.

Hi people, I've just been upgraded to Office 360 ProPlus which includes Excel 2013. An Excel file that I made a couple years back that utilized the Common Dialog Control has worked through Excel 2007 but my new Excel 2013 no longer recognizes the
object on my spreadsheet. A review of References had MISSING next to the object's entry. I tried copying the COMDLG32.dll and *.ocx from my previous computer and neither would be recognized or registered. I'm also getting errors on startup
for my option button objects which I believe I can replace with the new control options. What's the current story regarding use of the Common Dialog control to be called from code? Is it truly no longer a selectable activeX object that we place

Hi Peter, my OS is Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 on a 64 bit machine. I have Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus "Subscription Product" This is a Corporate engineering laptop. Excel is 2013 (15.0.4675.1001) MSO (15.0.4675.1002)
32-bit. The controls were the Common Dialog Control, the option buttons, some regular buttons. The Common Dialog Control is not even offered in my Excel Developer toolbox. In fact, when I open the workbook and go into "Design" mode
the icon representing the former Common Dialog Control is now a small white square with a red X across it. Any specific instruction for proper registering of controls would be appreciated. I don't do that enough to stay current.

Keyboard shortcut to make a selection on a dialog box

How can I select an option in a pop-up dialog box without using the mouse. For example in iTunes, whenever I delete something, the box asks if I am sure I want to move it to the trash and it is defaulted to NO, but I want to select YES. I can't find a way to use the keyboard to choose the other selection.

How can i display the Dialog boxes Open File / Save as... etc?
I want to Show the dialog box Open File, then when the user closes the dialog the choosen file will be entered
in a text item so that i can save it in a varchar table field.

Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.0 - Don't have Multiple Select option for List Box

I've created a form and need to add a List Box that will allow the user to select Multiple items in the box. I do not have the option under the Object property to set this option. Can anyone explain why I don't have this option and how I can activate it?

I don't know if you can use a PDF form to do an HTTP upload of a file. You can use an image field to allow a user to browse for a GIF, TIF, JPG, or PNG and include that in the submitted XML, but I don't know if it's possible to do something similar for other file types. I doubt it. PDF does support file attachments, but that functionality requires the user to have Acrobat or the PDF has to have usage rights enabled using Adobe Reader Extensions Server. Even if you assume that all your users have Acrobat though, attaching files in this way doesn't get the file into the XML form data like an image field does.

Unwanted selection of brush dialog box

When I start to use a brush, the slightest pressure will open the brush selection box, it didn't use to do that or it was much less sensitive --and it interferes with my use of a brush.
Please someone tell me how I can stop cursor or pen pressure from opening a selection box. I would be very grateful. At one time I knew how to do this but have forgotten and cannot find the answer in the CS5 help file. Thanks.

Thanks for responding. I am using a Wacom Intuos 4 tablet with pens and
mouse and a Windows 7 64 bit operating system. New info: I am frequently
getting a message such as "DSD 3864 not responding" and/or "Tablet not
installed" and when I get that message, the pens still work but the mouse
is extremely limited in its movement. I have downloaded a new driver on
two or three occasions and would happily do so again if you think it would
help.
When I do not get an error message on boot, then the problem of the pens
being hyper-sensitive in bringing up the brush choice panel and the limited
range of the Wacom mouse do NOT occur, otherwise both problems do occur.
Perhaps I am installing the wrong driver? Thanks again for your interest.

Windows 7 Open and Save As dialog box gives an "Access Denied" when using common Windows Explorer features.

On many computers in our environment we have issues in Windows 7 when using the Common Dialog Box. Within the dialog box we get the error Access Denied whenever we try to create a folder. If we try to rename a file it doesn't give an error but
it doesn't work either. We cannot delete a file, still no error, but we can create shortcut.
Within Windows Explorer of the same user it has no issues.
Even if we run an application as administrator it has the same results.
Example: Open Paint (right click "Run As Administrator"); then File, "Save As", right-click in empty space; then New, Folder. This caused the error to popup "Unable to create the folder 'New folder' Access is denied."

Multiple Selection not working on List Box Properties/Option Screen

When I select multiple selection on the List Box Properties/Options tab, I get no difference from the single selection default. It still highlights only the last of the multiple entries (like a single selection) and displays only the last entry. Is there something else I need to do?

To select multiple items, you need to hold down the Ctrl key when clicking additional items.
