Multiple Selection multi-line per choice

I have a bunch of multiple selection items which are all the same, so I copied and pasted them where I wanted them. The pasted ones are taking up two to three lines per choice (one word per line) even though they are very short and the original that I copied from only takes one line each. Does this mean I have to do each one manually? Why are the copied ones different from the original? Thanks!

Hi,
It sounds like a bug, since this shouldn't be happening.  However I tried to reproduce the problem, but couldn't.  It's probably a bug, that specific to your choices labels.  Could you share your form to me ([email protected]), so I can take a look at the specifics?  Once I can see it, I can provide some guidance about the issue and how to work around it (if posisble) until we've fixed it.  You can share a form by clicking the share button, and then clicking add collaborators.
Thanks,
Todd

  • SAP Personas - multiple selection of lines in table

    Hello,
    i am trying to figure out if it is possible to get/process all selected lines in SAP Personas for table with multiple line selection enabled. i found only posts where actual selected line can be identified in script - e.g. in this post: SAP Personas - dynamic selection of line from report .
    I am currently working with SAP Personas 2.0, but I am interested also in Personas 3.0 functionality.
    Thank you in advance,
    Jan Weissensteiner

    In Personas 2.0, it depends on how do you want to process the marked table entries.
    Since the Personas 2.0 scripting engine doesn't support looping, you can only read the entire content of the table into an array using a JavaScript step and then evaluate this and determine which lines have been selected. Then you could process the result, for instance you could add field values from the selected rows or something like this, since it is possible to perform looping in JavaScript. However you cannot do certain actions like pressing a script button for each selected row, for instance.
    In Personas 3.0, you can pretty much do anything you want since the scripting engine uses JavaScript and you can rely on JS functionality to have much more freedom, including pressing buttons.

  • How can I create a XMP List with multiple selection

    Hello,
    I try to build my own XMP custom panel. Herefore I need a couple of lists with the possibility for multiple selections (e.g. the choice for one language or multiple languages).
    But how is it possible to integrate a list into a panel? There is no XMPList inside the custom folder. I have experimented with the standard mx:list and an array collection for data binding into the list. But how can I write the user selection into an XMP field? Example: In the List the user choose three languages (DE, EN, FR). Is it possible to collect the choice into a string and to write the result into an XMP standard field (e.g. dc:description)?
    A further question is, if it's possible to use the "HTTPService" to bind an external xml-file with the languages and other informations into the panel or is it only possible to work with an array collection inside the code?
    Here is my code:

    Hi Markus,
    the FileInfo SDK does not offer a ready-made list component allowing for multi-selection.
    So you would need to implement one using the FileInfo SDK API. Your component "XMPList" would inherit from mx:list and would need to implement the XMPRead and XMPWrite events and talk to the XMP using the IXMPAccess interface within those event handlers.
    Please have a look at the Programmer's Guide, section "XMP Flex components" and at the API description available in "docs" for further guidanc.
    Hope this helps
    Kind Regards

  • Alignment of multi-line text field in PDF form

    I am trying to create a simple form with text fields and check boxes. In several of my text fields I would like the user to enter multiple lines of text aligned at the top-left of the textbox. Everything appears proper until I check the "Multi-line" option within the properties menu. The text then jumps down the textbox several lines. In the attached image I have selected multi-line for the "Responsibilities:" and "Objectives:" fields but not the three following. I am using Acrobat Pro 9 to develop the form. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for your reply. The entered text then shifts down the textbox (as shown).

  • Displaying Information selected within a Checkbox Choice column on a separate line

    I am looking to change the display output of a Choice column, which has checkboxes enabled for multiple selections, to show on Separate lines.
    At the moment when more than one box is selected the data is separated by a comma

    Hi Treble99,
    There is not an OOB way to implement displaying multiple values with separate lines. As the values are separated by a comma, you can replace the comma with break line.
    Here are some posts for your reference:

  • Choices - Checkboxes (allow multiple selections) Links

    Is there a way to make the below possible:
    This is with respect to Sharepoint 2010 list functionality
    I have a list with 7 choices
    The type of choices is: Checkboxes (allow multiple selections)
    Is it possible to have links as the various choices as compared to plain text?
    Is there any other alternative to have links with multiple selection option which works like choices option in a list?
    Thanks,
    Abhilasha Thackur

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to have links as the various choices as compared to plain text.
    There is no out of the box way to accomplish this with SharePoint.
    By design in SharePoint, the options in the Choice filed look like Single line of text type.
    To achieve what you want, you need to custom filed Type programmatically.

  • How can I see the numbers of lines selected in a Multiple Selection Box?

    Hi everybody,
    what I want to do is to get in an array of numbers all the lines selected.
    For instance, if I select the rows 1,4 and 7 from a Multiple Selection Box
    of 10 rows in total, how can I see that array when the rows 1,4 and 7 are
    selected?
    Because I want to connect this numbers to Case Structure and if the only
    rows selected are 1,4 and 7, the Case Structure will only realize this cases,
    and the rest will be ignored.
    I'm sure there is some way to get what I want.
    Thank you for your helpful.

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH. IT WORKS PERFECTLY!!!

  • Select one record per person from multiple conditions

    Perhaps been staring at this too long and making changes to try and gather the correct population, but can't seem to figure it out at the moment. Trying to determine logic to select one record per person. If person has more than one record would like to choose the record that matches the sequence priority which is:
    AND CASE WHEN ac.primary_program_ind = 'N'                                       --Existing Students who have a new program (Continuing Law and added Business)
                                   AND ac.academic_period_admitted = ac.academic_period
                                   AND ac.student_population <> 'V'
                                   AND ac.program is not null THEN 'Y'
                                WHEN ac.primary_program_ind = 'Y'                                        --Visitors (Each term considered new)
                                   AND ac.student_population = 'V'
                                   AND ac.academic_period_admitted is not null THEN 'Y'
                                WHEN ac.primary_program_ind = 'Y'                                        --Normal Cases
                                   AND ac.academic_period_admitted is not null THEN 'Y' --= ac.academic_period THEN 'Y'
                       END = 'Y' Meaning that if the person has records that meet more than one of the above cases, it should choose the record matching the First Case of the case statement. If the records do not meet the first case at all then look to see if it meets the second case and if it does choose that record, etc.
    Sample Data:
    SELECT 363 AS PERSON_UID, '1875' AS ID, '201140' AS ACADEMIC_PERIOD, '201040' AS ACADEMIC_PERIOD_ADMITTED, 'UG' AS STUDENT_LEVEL, '' AS EXIST_NEWPROG, 'Y' AS VISITORS, 'Y' AS NORMAL, 'V' AS STUDENT_POPULATION, 'Y' AS PRIMARY_PROGRAM_IND, 'LA' AS PROGRAM FROM DUAL
    UNION SELECT 852, '1962', '201130', '201040', 'GR', '', '', 'Y', 'C', 'Y', 'MS'  FROM DUAL
    UNION SELECT 852, '1962', '201140', '201140', 'GR', 'Y', '', '', 'G', 'N', 'MBA' FROM DUAL
    UNION SELECT 852, '1962', '201140', '201040', 'GR', '', '', 'Y', 'G', 'Y', 'MS' FROM DUAL
    UNION SELECT 659, '1093', '201140', '200840', 'UG', '', '', 'Y', 'T', 'Y', 'BB' FROM DUALSo for the above data on ID '1962', I would like to select the record that has EXIST_NEWPROG = 'Y' and ignore the other rows for that ID. Note:EXIST_NEWPROG, VISITORS, NORMAL I added to sample data, these cols don't actually exist. Put in for easier display purpose to show what case statements are doing. The actual sql statement has many joins and where statements, but hopefully this simplification of the sql will be sufficient to derive a solution.
    WITH MULTIROWS AS
    SELECT 363 AS PERSON_UID, '1875' AS ID, '201140' AS ACADEMIC_PERIOD, '201040' AS ACADEMIC_PERIOD_ADMITTED, 'UG' AS STUDENT_LEVEL, '' AS EXIST_NEWPROG, 'Y' AS VISITORS, 'Y' AS NORMAL, 'V' AS STUDENT_POPULATION, 'Y' AS PRIMARY_PROGRAM_IND, 'LA' AS PROGRAM FROM DUAL
    UNION SELECT 852, '1962', '201130', '201040', 'GR', '', '', 'Y', 'C', 'Y', 'MS'  FROM DUAL
    UNION SELECT 852, '1962', '201140', '201140', 'GR', 'Y', '', '', 'G', 'N', 'MBA' FROM DUAL

    select *
    from multirows ac
    where  CASE WHEN ac.primary_program_ind = 'N'                                       --Existing Students who have a new program (Continuing Law and added Business)
                                   AND ac.academic_period_admitted = ac.academic_period
                                   AND ac.student_population <> 'V'
                                   AND ac.program is not null THEN 'Y'
                                WHEN ac.primary_program_ind = 'Y'                                        --Visitors (Each term considered new)
                                   AND ac.student_population = 'V'
                                   AND ac.academic_period_admitted is not null THEN 'Y'
                                WHEN ac.primary_program_ind = 'Y'                                        --Normal Cases

    Hi,
    user1069723 wrote:
    Thanks Frank. I've been incorporating your solution and going over the data, (which is why it has taken so long to respond) and am getting closer, however the approach you provided excludes people who have a "RNum" of 2 or 3, but do not have a 1 at all. So people that only have a 2 and 3 OR only have a 2 or only have a 3 would not be captured, but if there is only one record, they would be missed.
    Here is another set of records of one person.
    SELECT 921 AS PERSON_UID, '8284' AS ID, '201130' AS ACADEMIC_PERIOD, '201030' AS ACADEMIC_PERIOD_ADMITTED, 'UG' AS STUDENT_LEVEL, '' AS EXIST_NEWPROG, 'Y' AS VISITORS, 'Y' AS NORMAL, 'V' AS STUDENT_POPULATION, 'Y' AS PRIMARY_PROGRAM_IND, 'LA' AS PROGRAM FROM DUAL
    UNION SELECT 921, '8284', '201140', '201040', 'UG', '', '', 'Y', 'F', 'Y', 'BB'  FROM DUAL
    Sorry, I can't reproduce the problem.
    If I add the two new rows of sample data that you posted today to the data you posted yesterday, then the query I posted yesterday produces:
    PERSON_UID ID   ACADEM ACADEM ST E V N S P PRO      R_NUM
           659 1093 201140 200840 UG     Y T Y BB           1
           363 1875 201140 201040 UG   Y Y V Y LA           1
           852 1962 201140 201140 GR Y     G N MBA          1
           921 8284 201130 201030 UG   Y Y V Y LA           1Io you get the correct output for the original ids?
    If I DELETE all the rows where id != 8284 I still get the same results for id=8284.
    'm using Oracle 11.1.0.6.0. What version are you running?
    Post your exact code, even iof you think you copied it from thsi site without any changes. Perhaps there was some subtle eidting mistake.
    I would like to select the record for Academic_Period = 201140 for this person. Is the problem that you're getting the wrong row for id=8284, or that you're not getting any output for id=8284?
    Why would you want to get the row with academic_period=201140? (Let's call this row A.) Why don't you want the other row for that person, the one with academic_period=201130? (Let's call this row B.) On both of those rows, primary_program_ind='Y' and academic_period_admitted is not NULL. The only significant difference between those two rows is that student_population='F' on row A, and it's 'V' on row B. Doesn't that mean that row B causes the CASE expression to return 3 ("Normal Case"), while row B makes it return 2 ("Visitor")? Doesn't that mean row B should be preferred to row A?
    Then again, perhaps this is just what you mean by saying that "term" is the main factor in deciding which row to select, and that the CASE expreesion ("New Program" before "Visitors", followed by "Normal Cases") is just a tie-breaker.
    Based on my understanding of the code you provided, this person is being excluded altogether because they do not have a record that evaluates to rnum = 1.ROW_NUMBER never returns a value of 2 or 3 unless it has already returned a value of 1. (At least that's how it's supposed to work, and I've never heard of any bugs concerning it.)
    This record is also complicated because it has two terms, Does "term" mean "academic_period" here?
    in all cases, we would want to select the highest term and then if there is still more than one qualifying record, base the "tie breaker" on the cases. Does this make sense or is my explanation still unclear?It's unclear.
    Maybe you need to add one more line at the beginning of the analytic ORDER BY clause (the 6th line below):

  • Titles: more than 2 lines per screen in 'Centred Multiple' option?

    Hi,
    Just a quickie. I want to create an opening Title sequence to my movie but the 'centred multiple' option only allows 2 lines per page/screen, and none of the other options fits the bill.
    Is there a (preferably freeware) plug-in that allows me to do this?
    PowerBook G4 17 1.67 gHz 512Mb/100Gb   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

    Hello Arcadian:
    Our own Lennart Thelander has a great "freeware" Download for Centered Titles. I don't know for sure that it will do all that you want, but it s a great plug in.
    LT iMovie Titles.sit
    http://www.berga.nu/Lennart_T/imovie/index.html
    Otherwise, you could using Scrolling Block...Make your titles and when the scroll gets centered in the page, pause it and go to Edit / Create Still Frame and then drag that down for your centered title. You can even change the length by going to "show info".

  • OM: Multi-select order lines to apply hold

    We are using Standard Oracle Multi-Select order lines (Ctrl or Shift keys) to apply hold and would like to pop-up an alert when any of the selected lines is having an open delivery. Appreciate any suggestions to handle this requirement. Thanks !

    These are good links for the Apply Hold functionalities.
    What we are looking for is to alert users that any of the multi-selected lines is having an open delivery/shipper.
    Need to identify the internal Line_id multi-selected by users for validating if there is an open delivery/shipper.
    Appreciate any advise.

  • How to select multiple AP invoice lines

    Hi all,
    In my AP invoice, I have many lines.
    And I would like to select some lines in order to discard them.
    But it seems that it is not possible. I tried to do that with <SHIFT> + select each line but it doesn't work.
    Thanks for your help !

    I forgot to say that this is for R12 !

  • Allow multiple but only display 1 choice

    with dreamweaver 8, how do I set the display to only show 1
    choice initially?
    e.g. I have a month list. Initially, I want it to display Jan
    - and Jan ONLY. I want to allow multiple choice of month, e.g. I
    can choose Jun, July and Aug.
    I set type to List, Height to 6 and allow multiple
    selections.
    Please help.

    Hello,
    I see.
    Dropdowns become lists as soon as you add "select multiple".
    To select multiple items from a dropdown, you need to use
    javascript or a
    server side language, and it can be complex.
    You can Google "Javascript Multiple Select Dropdown" to get
    some free
    scripts.
    You'd need to combine this with another script that makes the
    current month
    the selected value.
    Honestly, this isn't intuitive or user friendly.
    You have to keep opening the dropdown to select additional
    months, and it's
    two clicks each time.
    The instructions would likely use up more space than the
    list.
    Then there are those that start as a height of 1 then expand
    when clicked
    and stay open.
    Here's a free one with some examples on the lower left.
    http://multi-select-dropdown-box.possible.in/section.php/section/downloads
    Another thing you could do is just use some simple script to
    display the
    current month name.
    This wouldn't be a form element, just text.
    Then, have a button to "add months".
    When clicked, this button displays a hidden div (This is the
    "Show/Hide"
    behavior.) that does have the form's listbox in it.
    You can find a number of scripts online to display a
    multi-select list with
    the current month selected.
    So, if the user just wants June...they wouldn't click the
    "add months"
    button.
    They would just fill out the rest of the form.
    The list in the hidden div still functions as part of the
    form, and has the
    current month selected so when the form is submitted it will
    submit June.
    If they do want more months, they click the button and the
    list is displayed
    so they can select additional months.
    You'll need to add some code so that if the user has
    javascript disabled the
    multiselect list displays even if it's not how you want it to
    look when the
    page opens.Better than people not being able to use the form.
    Of course, you could avoid all of this by simply having
    multiple checkboxes,
    one for each month.
    That's easy, intuitive and doesn't require any scripting.
    Take care,
    Tim

  • Multi-line toggle button bar labels?

    I am trying to do a grid of buttons where only one button in a row can be "pressed".  Seems, based on suggestions here as well, the easiest way is one togglebuttonbar per row of a grid.
    Anyway, I need to have taller buttons with a few lines of text in each label (button).  Think of a table where the cells are selectable.
    I found a way to extend a simple button's label to make it multi-line, but not sure on how to do this for a togglebuttonbar:
    package tools
    import flash.text.TextFieldAutoSize;
    import mx.controls.Button;
    import mx.core.mx_internal;
    use namespace mx_internal;
    public class MultilineButton extends Button {
    public function MultilineButton()
    {super();}
    override protected function createChildren():void
    super.createChildren();
    textField.multiline = true;
    textField.wordWrap = true;
    textField.autoSize = TextFieldAutoSize.LEFT;
    override protected function updateDisplayList(unscaledWidth:Number, unscaledHeight:Number):void {
    super.updateDisplayList(unscaledWidth, unscaledHeight);
    textField.y = (this.height-textField.height)>>1;
    And then I call it with <t:MultilineButton label="four score and seven years ago" width="150" height="150" textAlign="left"/>
    Should I just use this single button in a Repeater?  Or is there a way to work with the togglebuttonbar?

    I tried that, I guess I am doing it wrong since it is still doing centered
    and bold:
    package tools
    import flash.text.*;
    import mx.core.mx_internal;
    use namespace mx_internal;
    public class MultilineToggleButtonBar extends ToggleButtonBar
    public function MultilineToggleButtonBar()
    super();
    override protected function createChildren():void
    super.createChildren();
    textField.multiline = true;
    textField.wordWrap = true;
    textField.autoSize = TextFieldAutoSize.LEFT;
    var format:TextFormat = new TextFormat();
    format.bold = false;
    format.align = "left";
    textField.defaultTextFormat = format;
    override protected function updateDisplayList(unscaledWidth:Number,
    unscaledHeight:Number):void {
    super.updateDisplayList(unscaledWidth, unscaledHeight);
    textField.y = (this.height-textField.height)>>1;

  • Multiple Selection Issue

    Hi
    The Reqt is to selection of multiple Languages from a candidate in oaf page.
    How to fit this reqt in standard page.
    Please help me in this.

    Correct me if I am wrong. As per my understanding your requirement is to provide the ability for a candidate to select multiple languages(list of known languages).
    You can create a simple table containing 3 columns, line number(optional), message text input with lov (for language selection), delete button.
    The lov will contain all the valid languages. You can store these values in a separate table. One row for each language that he know.
    In 11i there is no message chioce bean that takes multiple selections.
    I am not sure if the above approach is feasible in your page but this the general approach the Oracle Apps Pages follow for multiple selections in 11i atleast not sure about R12.
    Thanks,
    Sai.
