Multiple Table.AddColumn command in a single Power Query

I was using this example in another thread for another question and this issue popped up.
I have this list in sharepoint.
When I run this Power Query
let
Source = SharePoint.Tables("https://server/test"),
PQtesting = Source{[Name="PQtesting"]}[Content],
RemovedColumns = Table.RemoveColumns(PQtesting,{"ContentTypeID", "ContentType", "CreatedById", "ModifiedById", "Owshiddenversion", "Version", "Path", "Attachments"}),
Custom1 = Table.AddColumn(RemovedColumns, "Options 2", each Text.Combine([Options][Value], ", ")),
Custom2 = Table.AddColumn(RemovedColumns, "Options 1", each Text.Combine([Options][Value], " and "))
in
Custom2
Only column Custom2 shows up in the output, if I remove custom2 then custom1 shows up.  It appears only one custom column shows up at a time as I can swap them and the custom column on the bottom will always show in the output.  I have found examples
online of others using multiple custom columns.  Is this a limitation of something I'm doing in my code or of sharepoint, or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Eric

I'm a bit embarrassed on how long I have been trying to figure this out.
Thank you so much for your help.
Eric

  • How to update fields in multiple tables ?

    Dear all,
What is the fastest way to update fields in multiple tables... from a single change table...as below is my code to update the fields but it is taking long time to update as i need to keep log file if any one update fails....

    Dear SeánMacGC thanks for reply,
But "a.changed" is not a field in GNMT_CUSTOMER_MASTER_CHG. what i am doing in this procedure is i am collecting bulck data and validating field by field from GNMT_CUSTOMER_MASTER_CHG with GNMT_CUSTOMER_MASTER table as their structure is same.. if v_name is not same as v_name_chg then i am setting changed flag to "Y" changed is "changed dbms_sql.varchar2_table" and updating GNMT_CUSTOMER_MASTER in bluck where changed flag ='Y'...
    type custRec is record
    n_cust_ref_no dbms_sql.number_table,
    v_name dbms_sql.varchar2_table,
    v_name_chg dbms_sql.varchar2_table,
    rowid rowidArray,
    *changed dbms_sql.varchar2_table*
i cannot use simple SQL as i need to validate field for each records with GNMT_CUSTOMER_MASTER_CHG and insert into log file as well.....
    to run this procedure:
    execute DO_DC_NAME_UPDATE_OTHER_TAB.DO_NAME_UPDATE_OTHER_TAB;
    Thanks...

  • Multiple Table of Contents

I am using Captivate 5 and I am creating a course which will essentially contain 3 different version inside of it, I'm wonderign if it is possible to have multiple Tables of Contents within a single course?
    Thanks!

I ran into a similar issue. Mine was a broad topic with "subchapters", for want of a better term. I wanted my users to be able to jump around within topics as needed and the simple TOC didn't cut it. Plus I had several slides during my simulation that were about 1 sec in length so I had several slides named "Cont." on the TOC...not very pretty. My workaround was to create my subchapters as separate projects and then pulled them all together in the aggregator. It wasn't perfect but it was close. I've added the ability to create sub-TOCs to the feature request page. Maybe I should bribe the Captivate developers with cookies???

  • Power Query Cannot Access all the NAV Table

When I connect to NAD Database via PowerPrivot, I can get all the NAV table it's around 1936 tables, however when I access via Power Query it will only able to access around 1100 tables. All the important tables are not showing at the workbook Queries. Can
    anyone help please?
    Henry

Ok, I have some more info on this. We found this bug right near the time we GA'd but it was too late to take the fix. It will be available in our next release. I don't know if we've officially announced the date but you should have it within the next month
    or so.
There should be two workarounds until you have the fix:
As I mentioned in the last reply, when connecting to the SQL database, instead of just typing in a server name, you can also specify the database name directly.
If you don't specify the database, when you're viewing the list of tables in the sidepane on the right side of Excel, select any of them and click Edit near the bottom (or double click on the table name.) This will open up the wrong table in the Query Editor.
Then you can expand the database navigator on the left side of the Query Editor and you should see all the tables in that list.
[Oops, I see that Peter and I replied at the same time! I'll leave my note here anyway.]

  • How to use Power Query to load data from a single source into multiple tables

    Hi all,
I have a requirement to load my data into three different data models using Power Query. Is that possible?
My source is a SharePoint survey list, with similar questions like:
    1) Course lecturer - John Doe
1a) The course was useful (rate 1 to 5)
1b) The lecturer displayed good knowledge of topic (rate 1 to 5)
    2) Course Lecturer - Mary Brown
2a) The course was useful (rate 1 to 5)
2b) The lecturer displayed good knowledge of topic (rate 1 to 5)
I would like to split the data into separate data models (one for John Doe; another for Mary Brown), so that I can compare the different lecturers. Other than running separate surveys for each of them, I thought of using Power Query to transform the data.
    Is it possible?
    Thanks.
    Regards
    GM

    Yes, this is possible.
Start with a single query that returns you the data for all lecturers.
Right-click on the "all lecturers" query in the queries pane, and choose Reference, once for each lecturer. This will create a query for each lecturer.
Open the query for each lecturer and filter the data so that only that lecturer's results are visible.
Click "Close & Load To..." for each lecturer's query  to load the data into the data model. This will create a data model table for each lecturer.
If your question is more about how to transform such a survey list into a table that can be easily filtered, please provide an example of how the list shows up in Power Query.

  • Change the display of the multiple Table items using a single Drop-down

I have created a Web Template in BEx WAD (BW 3.5) with 4 Tables assigned to 4 dfferent Queries. Now I want to change the display of the all the Four Tables based on the selection of display properties chosen in a single Dropdown item. The properties to be selected  in the dropdown are like changing the Alternate style display of Rows, Suppress Alternate Style, Display only 30 Rows or 60 Rows.
Please help me in writing the script necessary to pass the command from the dropdown to all the Tables to get the desired output.
    Thanks,
    Krishna
Edited by: Hari Krishna Velampalli on Oct 26, 2008 12:00 AM

    Dipika, Thanks for the response.
I tried using that option but again since we cannot give custom options in a drop-down,
I created a Form with a drop-down list of options like Suppress Result Rows, Suppress alternate style of rows, Display only 30 Rows, Display only 100 rows .. and so on.
Now I am able to change the display of my first table by selecting the options in the drop-down list. But my intention is to apply that selection to Multiple Tables.
    How can I achieve that?

  • Insert multiple records into a table(Oracle 9i) from a single PHP statement

How can I insert multiple records into a table(Oracle 9i) from a single PHP statement?
From what all I've found, the statement below would work if I were using MySQL:
         insert into scen
         (indx,share,expire,pitch,curve,surface,call)
         values
         (81202, 28, 171, .27, 0, 0, 'C' ),
         (81204, 28, 501, .25, 0, 0, 'C' ),
         (81203, 17, 35, .222, 0, 0, 'C' ),
         (81202, 28, 171, .27, 2, 0, 'C' ),
         (81204, 28, 501, .20, 0, 1, 'C' ),
         (81203, 28, 135, .22, 1, 0, 'C' )
The amount of records varies into the multiple-dozens. My aim is to utilize the power of Oracle while avoiding the i/o of dozens of single-record inserts.
    Thank you,
    Will

You could look at the INSERT ALL statement found in the documentation here:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96540/statements_913a.htm#2133161
My personal opinion is that you probably won't see any benefit because under the hood I think Oracle will still be doing single row inserts. I could be wrong though.
The only way to confirm was if you did a test of multiple inserts vs an INSERT ALL, that is if the INSERT ALL met your requirements.

  • How to run multiple DOS commands from a single Webutil Client_Host session?

    Hello all,
I have a requirement where I need to create an interface with SVN from Forms for basic checkin-checkout of files.
So, I've been trying to use webutil client_host to open a command line session and issue svn commands.
For svn, sometimes I need to give multiple commands like change to a particular directory and then run an svn command.
But client_host takes in only one command at a time and I'm unable to issue a series of DOS commands to perform
    a particular task.
Is there a way to do this?
    Pls suggest.
    Regards,
    Sam

First your original question... You can put more than one DOS command on a single line, simply separate each command with an ampersand (&). For example:
    mkdir c:\abc & cd abc & dir*
Regarding your concerns about performance, well that would depend on exactly what you mean. Using CLIENT_HOST (or HOST on the server) simply opens a shell (DOS in this case) then passes your command to it. The performance of performing this action really isn't measurable. Basically you are just pressing a button and you should get a near immediate action. As for the performance of executing each command, that has nothing to do with Forms. Once the command is passed to the shell, the rest is a function of the shell and whatever command you passed.
Having said that, if you were to write something sloppy like a loop (in pl/sql) which called CLIENT_HOST lots of times repeatedly, then yes there would be a performance problem because the pushing of the button will cause an exchange to and from the server and each cycle in the loop will do the same.
So the answer to how performance is impacted will depend on what exactly you need to accomplish. If it is a single call to CLIENT_HOST, this should be fine.

  • Export to Excel - Multiple Tables in a single details section

    Hi All,
I have a set of reports where I am using a single details section to show multiple tables stacked over one another. That is, i have a table with three columns and two rows, followed by some white space and then another table with 4 columns and 1 row, followed by white space and then other tables.

    Excel output:
    CR_column1_Heading    CR_Column2_Heading    CR_Column1_Data CR_Column2_Data
Is there a way to control the sequence of fields displayed in excel while exporting?
    Thanks.
    - Atif.

    @Carl,
    It is printing like this.
    HEADER1   HEADER2    HEADER3     DATA 1     DATA 2     DATA 3
I am getting all the columns and fields in excel, that is not a problem. However, the problem is whether i can control the order the fields are printed onto Excel.
    Like what Ben is commenting:
    HEADER1   DATA 1     HEADER2    DATA 2     HEADER3     DATA 3
However, I dont want to reorder the fields on the canvas as the format layout is predefined.
I tried searching through the Cystal SDK if there is a finer level of control but to no avail.
A work around under the above constraints would be simply amazing!
Thanks again and appreciate your response.
    Regards,
    Atif.

  • Move data from multiple Tables to a Single Table & Convert the list to ALV.

    Hi,
My aim is to get the list of Materials with their descriptions, with MRP Controller, with Unrestriced Qty. & the Reorder Qty. So, I have to fetch the data from different tables. But finally I am not able to copy or move the fetched data from multiple tables into the single final table.
Also tell me how to convert this list into ALV.

  • Can we use single DB Adapter for multiple tables

    Hi,
I have 3 tables. ONE is the Master table and other 2 tables having Primary and foreign key relationships with the Master Table.
Data is enter in the Tables 2 & 3 (based on Master Table Primary key)
I have to use a DB Adapter in BPEL Process which will be in Transaction (what type of Transaction is Best in such a Scenario).
    - How do i implement it in BPEL.
    - Can i use a Single DB Adapter for Multiple Tables ? (*Views* should not be created for tables 1, 2 & 3),
as we want to avoid using multiple DB Adapters, as in future Tables may increase or decrease...
    - while in Transaction if Table 2 fails in Inserting / Updating, it should roll back on error and also if Table 3 fails in Inserting / Updating, it should roll back table 2 and Table 3.
    - how access to concurrent users is maintained / managed in such a scenarios.
But everything should be done using Single DB Adapter without creating a separate view.
    Is this Possible in BPEL..
If not, How do we design, Implementation such a BPEL Process in Transaction with a best in Performance (both BPEL Process & DB Resources)
    thanks in advance
    thanks & regards,

    Hi,
    Thanks for your quick response.
    I have few quires.
If we use PL/SQL, how do we implement transaction and Exception Handling appropriately based on the Error / Exception in BPEL.
If the Table 2 or Table 3 gives out Error / Exception, i have to handle it separately and intimate accordingly.
Suppose, if Table 2 got Error / Exception - Error Handling would be 'Roll back due to error in Table2'
    Thanks & regads,

  • Single result set across multiple tables

Hi - what's the best way to perform a single query that can pull
a single result set across multiple tables, ie., a master table
containing subject details and child table containing multiple
    records with detail.
I know how to do this for two columns in the same table via
indexing, but how about across tables?
    Cheers,
    John

I am not sure if I understood your question, but you can use
Intermedia Text with USER_DATA_STORE to create an index with data
    source from multiple tables.
    (see technet.oracle.com -> products -> oracle text)

  • Multiple Table Mapping To Single Entity in Workshop 8.1

I've taken a test run on creating entity beans with workshop 8.1, although mapping
an CMP entity to a single database table looks to be relatively straightforward,
I can't seem to find a way to map multiple database tables to a single CMP entity
(at least not via workshop). Do I have to manually modify the deployment descriptors
    after building with workshop?

    Thanks, John.

Is there any example of using ejbgen to map single EJB to multiple tables?
Jingwei... I found this at: http://www.beust.com/cedric/ejbgen/#multiple-table-mapping
By default, Entity beans are mapped to one table, with the attribute
    table-name
on the tag @ejbgen:entity. If you want to map your Entity bean to more
    than one
table, you can use the table-name attribute on individual @ejbgen:cmp-fields.
All the CMP fields that do not have a table-name attribute will use the
    table
specified on @ejbgen:entity (which can therefore be considered as the
    "default"
    table).
If you want to map an Entity bean to several tables, you need to specify
    a comma-separated
list of tables in the table-name attribute (and also on column). For
    example:
    * @ejbgen:cmp-field
    * column = "bal1, bal2"
    * table-name = "Table1, Table2"
Make sure that the number of tables matches the number of columns, and
    that the
columns exist in the corresponding table (for example, in the example
    above, Table1
    must contain column bal1, and Table2, bal2).

  • Export Multiple tables into a single Excel Sheet

We have a use case where we need to export multiple tables into an excel sheet. The exportCollectionActionListener only allows one table (which is provided in the exportedId attribute) to be exported into Excel. So is there a method provided by adf to export more that one table into excel ?

    dvohra,
I need to export multiple tables into a single excel sheet. These links only show how to export a single table to an excel sheet.
I have tried out this : http://iadvise.blogspot.com/2007/04/export-adf-table-to-excel.html. But i am not getting the popup to save the file. So i can't find out where the file got created.
