Multiple Valid Signatures

I have a few forms that required multiple signatures. Is there anyway to make a signature field validate only certain controls?
If I sign one signature field, the signature is valid. If I sign another signature field, the original field has the check mark with the exclamation with the following tool tip:
"Document(Signature is valid, the document has been updated since it was signed)"
This makes sense, the document has changed (one more signature has been placed on the page). Is there anyway to make signature field A validate all controls on the page except signature field B and signature field B validate all controls on the page except signature field A?
I'm using LiveCycle Designer 8.0 with Static Forms....

Hi Miles,
I know it's been almost three years since you asked the question, but if you are still interested the answer is "no", Acrobat does not support what we call page level signing where you only sign a particular portion of the existing document. However, the current version of Acrobat (9.2) will no longer display the notation that the first signature is valid with changes if all that has happened is subsequent signatures have been added.

  • Making Multiple Digital Signatures Read-only in Form (Acrobat 9)

I have created a form which includes two (2) digital signature fields.  What needs to occur with the form is Person1 fills the form and then digitally signs it thereby making the form fields read-only .  Person2 then digitally signs the form which should make Person1's digital signature read-only.
    Here's what I've done:
    1) For the Person1 digital signature field, in Digital Signature Properties, under the Signed tab, I have selected Mark as read-only <all fields except these> and selected the Person2 digital signature field.
    2) For the Person2 digital signature field, in Digital Signature Properties, under the Signed tab, I have selected Mark as read-only <all fields> since once Person2 signs the form I do not want Person1 to be able to clear the digital signature and make changes to the form.
    Here's what actually occurs:
Step 1 above works fine.  Once the signature is applied all the form fields are read-only except for the Person2 digital signature field.
The problem is that after Person2 digitally signs the form, even though I selected all fields as read-only, Person1 can 'clear' their signature which leaves all the form fields available for editing and leaves Person2's digital signature still on the form.
I honestly don't care about 'validating' signatures on this form since it's going to be printed but I cannot allow Person2's signature to remain on the form and allow Person1 to edit the form.

  • Multiple Digital Signatures on single profile.

    Hello,
I have a question. Can I create multiple digital signatures on a single system.
If Yes, I can create digital signature of any "Signature required person"  and I can sign for him, If I have his email id and Organization name, correct?
It means we can easily sign for any other person in the world. If so, how does this system mean to be safe ?
    Thanks

Wheb I try to update iTune I am getting a message "the site has not a valid signature" and the downloading is stopped. How can I fix IT?
    I am using windows 7 64

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

  • The extension does not contain a valid signature

    hey guys, newbie on deck!
So, after installing CS6 I ran the Adobe Update Manger. During the update the Adobe Extension Manager (AEM) fired off and began updating as well. One error I saw was:
The extension 'Adobe_Flash_Professional_Toolkit_for_CreateJS' does not contain a valid signature. The extension will not be installed.
I'm not sure what this is or what it does but I would like to:
    Understand the Adobe ecosystem and
    Clear any problems.
    Here's what I do know:
The Mac I have is 2 days old and probably in the best shape of its life.
    I installed CS6 fresh from a DVD.
Ran the Adobe Update Manager the next day (today).
I don't intend to use Flash.
If anyone can expain common causes for this behavior and a fix I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks in advance,
    TT

    Hi JesusPresley,
The root cause is the updater updated Adobe Flash, which tried to install the extension above by Extension Manager in the installation. However, this extension was NOT signed with the updated Adobe certificate, so the extension installation will be rejected by Extension Manager. That is what you got. We have sent this issue to Flash team.
If you don't use Flash, you can manually edit C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS6\XManConfig.xml, and remove the line <Data key="SupportedInSuite">CS6</Data>. Thanks.

  • How to do Multiple digital signatures?

I have created a form in Acrobat 9 Pro with multiple digital signatures. This is an approval form that is emailed "up the chain of command".  I have enabled extended features in Adobe Reader so that users without Acrobat 9 can digitally sign the form.  I created the form and did a certified signature.  I then emailed it to a typical user who filled in the form and emailed it to her boss for a digital signature.  Her boss digitally signed it and emailed it to the CFO.  The CFO does not have Acrobat 9.  When she gets it, she gets the error message "This document enabled extended features in Adobe Reader.  The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available.  Please contact the author for the original version of this document."  How do I correct this?

    Steve,
I wanted to test how cumbersome it would be to have the 2 staff members open with Adobe Reader instead of Creative Suite; however, I have not been able to find any option like "open with" in my outlook email.  Every time I try to open it defaults to my Acrobat 9 Pro to open the document.  Would the 2 staff members have to save the email and then use "open with" in order to by pass Creative Suite?
Also I am not sure if you answered my question last time - Is it possible to just upgrade the Acrobat portion of Creative Suite or do you have to upgrade the entire Creative Suite just to get the newer Acrobat?  I will also be checking the upgrade link you sent.  Thanks.

  • Multiple Electronic Signatures using Signature PAD

    Hello Experts,
We have a requirement where we need to capture the electronic signature on thee PDF form at different time. This means I fill the PDF form get the 1st electronic signature using signature PAD and then saved the form. I open the same form and then take the 2nd signature. When we are taking the 2nd signature on the saved form it's making the form and signature invalid.
Please let me know if there's a restriction by Adobe PDF such that you can't accept the signature once it's signed and saved.
    Thanks, Ritesh

Yes, that's an e-signature. An option if you need to set up multiple e-signatures is to use stamps. They can be flattened individually, which converts them to regular page contents. The Acrobat help has more information on using stamps and you can use the following free JavaScript-based utility to flatten them after they're applied if you want: http://www.uvsar.com/projects/acrobat/flattener/

First, have you installed all the updates for photoshop cs5 by going to Help>Updates from within photoshop cs5?
The automated installer only installs the following plugins:

The following plug-ins and associated files are available via an installer:
    Automate Plug-Ins:
    • Contact Sheet II
    • Picture Package (ContactSheetII)
    • Web Photo Gallery (WebContactSheetII) plus presets
    • Script for Layer Comps to Web Photo Gallery
    Other Optional Plug-Ins:
    • TWAIN
Other plugins including the pattern maker plugin need to be installed manually using this download:

  • Creating multiple digital signatures

When I create multiple freehand signatures in an adobe acrobat document there is an issue.
Can I create multiple signatures and place them on the document without having the original signature be listed as part of an older revision? It marks a new signature as a change to the document and creates a second revision.

    >As a business process when would people be approving the other's signatures?
As a normal business process maybe not. But consider: a signature can
have a visual aspect. This visual aspect might be large and not just
an written name: so someone could be tricked into signing something
different than the original document, maybe.
Anyway, this is moot. The signature becomes a part of the PDF. Each
signature certifies the entire PDF, not what a document looks like,
but byte for byte everything in the PDF, whether you can see it or
not. Hence, each signature encapsulates the previous signatures.

  • Pdf fillable form - multiple digital signatures

I have a fillable pdf form that requires multiple digital signatures. Is there a way to send the form to multiple parties and merge it back to one form upon receipt of the signature from each party? Does that be accomplished with a javascript or do I need to use a different software? Thank you.

That's not how digital signatures work, so the answer is "no". When multiple people need to sign a document, they need to sign the same document in sequence.

  • Form Size issue with multiple Digital Signatures

I have created a form (liveCycle 8) with multiple digital signatures required.  When each user signs the form, that section of the form is locked using collections.  The form is workflow through email after each user signs it.  Each time the user signs and forwards the form, the form's size becomes too large.
How can the form be optimized to compress each time an users signs the form?
    Thank you,
    Lori

    Steve,
After your request to post the form, I wanted to removal some company items like the Logo.  Once I removed the Logo, I found the biggest issue was a Logo image size that was making the file so large.  Once I reduced the image size, the signatures only added 46kb at each signature level.
    Thank you for your help,

  • BER error - validating signature

I work for an electronic invoicing software house and we are presently having problems validating signatures within PDF signed using an RBS TrustAssured (Identrus) signature which Adobe tells me “Signature is valid, but revocation of the signer’s identity could not be checked”.
When I then go into the certificate properties revocation tab and hit the problems encountered button the error message is "Error encountered while BER decoding".
RBS say they are confident the problem is Adobe and not their certs. Any ideas what the problem is and what can be done to solve this?
FYI "Perfect PDF 6 Reader" has no problems validating.
    Thanks in advance

I know this is an old thread but I'm experiencing the same issue as well. Using Acrobat Reader v11.0.6 on Windows XP.
I filled out a PDF via Adobe Reader and then signed the document via DocuSign and when I open the PDF to see if it validates, I get the following error: “Signature is valid, but revocation of the signer’s identity could not be checked”.
I've tried reinstalling Reader and the issue still exists.
What's interesting is that in Acrobat at home on my Mac, the same file  validates just fine.
    Any help would be appreciated.
