Multivalue set
Hi,
Is there a way to set multivalued selection list (set more than one value in the list)? I am using remote API EDK.
Thanks
Avishay
Hi Subbu,
Even I have got the same error. I'm working on the standard repository SP3_VENDOR so that it will be easier to understand my scenario.
Main table --> Vendors. Field in the Vendors --> Phone Number. Qualified look-up table --> Phone Numbers.
Now, Phone Numbers table has 5 qualifies field
1. Telephone
2. Standard No.
3. Sequence No.
4. Extension
5. Complete No.
and non-qualifier field --> Country.
Hope the scenario is clear.
I have found out both the record ID for "Vendors" and "Phone Numbers" and changestamp for the main table record.
But after the same procedure suggested by you, I'm getting "StringException: ModifyQualifiedLinks error".
Code snippet,
<b>QualifiedLinkArray qualifiedLinkArray = new QualifiedLinkArray();
QualifiedLink qualifiedLink = new QualifiedLink();
//set non-qualifier
//get the record id of the lookup table for the non qualifier
int lookupRecordID = getRecordID(<Lookup table name>,<Lookup DF>,<value>);
qualifiedLink.SetLookupID(lookupRecordID); //set qualifier value</b>
//for all qualifier fields
<b>Value val = new Value(rec_value);
A2iField field1 = new A2iField(<FieldName>,val);
qualifiedLink.GetQualifiers().Add(field1); </b>
and then the addition to Array and catalogdata.AddQualifiedLinks();
I would like to ask if values for all the qualifier fields needs to be specified(none of them are "required" field). Am I doing something wrong here.
Please suggest,
Thanks and Regards,
Mausam

LDAP Data Set - Group Membership / Multivalued attributes
Hello
I am attempting to get a list of groups and for which a user is a member in LDAP. I have created an LDAP datasource, and am attempting to create a new dataset.
Details are as follows:
Name: Roles
Datasource: LDAP Server
Searchbase: ou=people,dc=example,dc=com
Attributes: cn, description, uid, mail, isMemberOf
Filter: (objectclass=inetOrgPerson)
When I look at the Data in Tree View for this, I do not get what I am expecting. What is see is:
DATA_DS
-ROLES
--Description: Description goes here
--CN: My Name
--mail: [email protected]
--uid: [email protected]
--isMemberOf: role1DNRole2DNRole3DNRole4DNRole5DN (notice they are not splitting on space etc etc)
--isMemberOf: role1DNRole2DNRole3DNRole4DNRole5DN (notice they are not splitting on space etc etc)
--isMemberOf: role1DNRole2DNRole3DNRole4DNRole5DN (notice they are not splitting on space etc etc)
--isMemberOf: role1DNRole2DNRole3DNRole4DNRole5DN (notice they are not splitting on space etc etc)
--isMemberOf: role1DNRole2DNRole3DNRole4DNRole5DN (notice they are not splitting on space etc etc)
If I have 5 roles, I see 5 isMemberOf attributes, but each value has all 5 memberships in it.
Is there something special that I need to do with multi valued ldap attributes?
Thank you.Chris,
Brilliant! I had already enabled extended logging in OpenLDAP, but it didn't give me the answers I was looking for. I setup an OID instance (didn't want to get into packet sniffing when it's someone else's directory), captured the packets with ethereal, and there it was! I'm going to post more details about this (more on the process than the result), but here's my answer:
Filter: (|(uniquemember=cn=user1,cn=users,dc=demo1,dc=com)(member=cn=user1,cn=users,dc=demo1,dc=com))There's more to the process, but that's the answer I needed.
Thanks again for putting me back on track,

SSRS with DAX - parameters multivalue vs total element
Hi all,
I'm using SSRS on top of a SSAS tabular model to create intuitive dashboards for management department.
One thing I'm struggling with is the lack of a "total" on parameters. What I'm doing is, based on the fact table, I create the datasets that will feed each parameter, so it only has the dimension members available on the fact table. That is fine
performance wise, you only have 1 element and it renders very quickly.
For a management perspective at a higher level it is important to view the totals to have the big picture of the information. In my project we are in a University, so I have the parameters Year, school (there are several schools in the university campus)
and the course (computer sciences, math, statistics, etc).
At first glance, if I'm a course coordinador I want to pick my course and have a global view, and I'm achiveing that, but imagine now, that I am the school coordinator, or the university coordenator.
I want to see the aggregate values by all courses or by all schools.
In my view I have 2 ways to do this and I come from a tradition cubes background:
1 - I would use the all element the cubes hierarchy have on each attribute
2 - I would use multivalue parameters with StrToSet (worse performance)
Using DAX what is your approach?
Best regardsHi AsifMehmood,
Per my understanding you have create an SSRS report with SharePoint list, now you don’t know to create the distinct parameters by using CAML query, right?
For the CAML language doesn’t have any reserved word (or tag) to set this particular filter to remove duplicate results, but we can use the custom code to do this function. I have tested on my local environment and we can do that by create one hidden parameter(Param1)
to get all the values from the fields which will add the filter and then create another parameter(Param2) to get the distinct values based on the Param1, we use the custom code to do the deduplication.
Step by Steps information in below thread for your reference to create the parameters and the custom code:
"How to get distinct values of sharepoint column using SSRS"
Other similar thread for your reference:
https://audministrator.wordpress.com/2014/02/17/sharepoint-list-add-distinct-parameter-value/
If your problem still exists, please feel free to ask and also try to provide us more details information.

How To hide a column on a Matrix using a parameter that is set-up as a multi-select
Hi,
I have a multi-select parameter (has 4 choices ie. A,B,C,D). In the matrix the parent Column group is a date and the child group is based on the Multi-select parameter field. When all choices are selected the report returns a column per
date and then within that date column 4 sub columns as expected.....This all works.
Challenge ... I added another column (Col5). For Col5 I only want it to show if value B has been selected from the multi choice
Another way of saying it.... How do I get a column to appear (Visibility) if a specific Value has been select in a multi-choice parameter

Andrew PayzeHi,
here is the query
SELECT ProjectNumber, ProjectDescription, WBS, TaskNumber, TaskName, TaskDescription, TaskManager, Results, ResourceExpenditure, CostSet, Currency,
ReportingDate, Value, YEAR(ReportingDate) AS Year, { fn MONTHNAME(ReportingDate) } AS Month, ActualValue, PriorEAC
FROM vwForecastAccuracy
WHERE (CostSet IN (@CostType)) AND (YEAR(ReportingDate) = @Year) AND (Results = 'Cost')
below is the Code, not sure how to attach RDL
Thanks

Provision a multivalued attribute from OIM to OID
Hi,
I have a requirement to provision a new multivalued attribute from OIM to OID.
Steps followed:
Created a child form
Attached child form to the OID Parent form
Created a process task adapter.
Created a task in process definition and the attached the adapter
Adapter code.
public String addChildData(tcDataProvider ioDatabase, long procInstKey, long childDefKey){
try{
tcFormInstanceOperationsIntf formInstOper = (tcFormInstanceOperationsIntf)tcUtilityFactory.getUtility(ioDatabase, "Thor.API.Operations.tcFormInstanceOperationsIntf");
HashMap testval = new HashMap();
testval.put("UD_TESTCHIL_TESTGROUP","abcd2134");
System.out.println("testval..."+testval);
long formreturn = formInstOper.addProcessFormChildData(childDefKey,procInstKey,testval);
System.out.println("formreturn" +formreturn);
catch(Exception e){
System.out.println("exce" +e);
return "Success";
After attaching while provisioning I am seeing both parent and child forms. I have provided the values and its successfully provisioning.
But how I can provision the new OID multivalued attribute. We have to do any setting in the lookup?
Regards,
KKJust create your new adapter for add and delete from this new child table just like the other triggered tasks. If it's a multi value on the user profile, use the adapter for Add Multi Value Attribute that comes with the connector. In the property name, put in your multi value attribute name, and map the value from the child table.

Hi,
I am using Access 2013 and I have the following VBA code,
strSQL = "INSERT INTO Master SELECT * from Master WHERE ID = 1"
DoCmd.RunSQL (strSQL)
when the SQL statement is run, I got this error.
SELECT * cannot be used in an INSERT INTO query when the source or destination table contains a multivalued field
Any suggestion on how to get around this?
Please advice and your help would be greatly appreciated!Rather than modelling the many-to-many relationship type by means of a multi-valued field, do so by the conventional means of modelling the relationship type by a table which resolves it into two one-to-many relationship types. You give no indication
of what is being modelled here, so let's assume a generic model where there is a many-to-many relationship type between Masters and Slaves, for which you'd have the following tables:
Masters
....MasterID (PK)
....Master
Slaves
....SlaveID (PK)
....Slave
and to model the relationship type:
SlaveMastership
....SlaveID (FK)
....MasterID (FK)
The primary key of the last is a composite one of the two foreign keys SlaveID and MasterID.
You appear to be trying to insert duplicates of a subset of rows from the same table. With the above structure, to do this you would firstly have to insert rows into the referenced table Masters for all columns bar the key, which, presuming this to be
an autonumber column, would be assigned new values automatically. To map these new rows to the same rows in Slaves as the original subset you would then need to insert rows into SlaveMastership with the same SlaveID values as those in Slaves referenced
by those rows in Slavemastership which referenced the keys of the original subset of rows from Masters, and the MasterID values of the rows inserted in the first insert operation. This would require joins to be made between the original and the new subsets
of rows in two instances of Masters on other columns which constitute a candidate key of Masters, so that the rows from SlaveMastership can be identified.
You'll find examples of these sort of insert operations in DecomposerDemo.zip in my public databases folder at:
https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=44CC60D7FEA42912&id=44CC60D7FEA42912!169
If you have difficulty opening the link copy its text (NB, not the link location) and paste it into your browser's address bar.
In this little demo file non-normalized data from Excel is decomposed into a set of normalized tables. Unlike your situation this does not involve duplication of rows into the same table, but the methodology for the insertion of rows into a table which
models a many-to-many relationship type is broadly the same.
The fact that you have this requirement to duplicate a subset of rows into the same table, however, does make me wonder about the validity of the underlying logical model. I think it would help us if you could describe in detail just what in real world
terms is being modelled by this table, and the purpose of the insert operation which you are attempting.

FIM multivalue attribute export to SQL - error 0x80230808
Hi,
Running FIM Synchronization Service v 4.0.3531.2 - Update1.
This instance is a simple setup, import from AD, export to SQL. I'm trying to export two multivalue attributes, one is a normal multivalue string, second is a reference attribute (member). My anchor is the GUID from AD in string format, perfectly fitting
into uniqueidentifier sql datatype.
Since I wanted to have the member values in the multivalue table also stored in a uniqueidentifier column (for further linking) I had to create two columns, one as "uniqueidentifier" and second as "text". FIM configuration went smoothly,
I defined a member multivalue reference attribute and selected the uniqueidentifier column as "String attribute column", and the other multivalue string attribute had to be linked as "Large string attribute column" and I pointed it to the
text datatype column.
Synchronization completed without errors, export step properly exported all multivalue string attributes to the text column, BUT when it came to exporting the GUID reference attribute to the uniqueidentifier column it exported only the first value showing
a "dn-attribute-failure" error. From the FIM GUI it was only showing the error number = 0x80230808.
I did a SQL trace to see what's going on. I re-run the export and saw FIM trying to delete all the values for this attribute multiple times with:
DELETE from [tblAD_Multivalue] WHERE [objectGUID] = N'{B011B424-5B2F-43A9-84C5-8605A570487B}' AND [attributeName] = N'member'
followed by doing cursor magic with the first value that was already added:
exec sp_cursor 180150007,4,0,N'tblAD_Multivalue',@objectGUID='B011B424-5B2F-43A9-84C5-8605A570487B',@attributeName='member',@guidValue='2E52A484-C7F6-49C0-AAC8-0A30C732A385'
After repeating the above for over 10 times it added a export_error_detail:
update [mms_connectorspace] set [export_error_detail] = N'<export-status>
<cd-error>
<error-code>0x80230808</error-code><error-literal>[Modify] Failed operation</error-literal>
</cd-error>
</export-status>
',[count_export_error_retries] = 0,[is_export_error] = 1,[initial_export_error_date] = '2011-02-12 21:36:08.995',[last_export_error_date] = '2011-02-12 21:36:08.995',[export_error_code] = -2145189885,[unapplied_export_batch_number] = 1,[unapplied_export_sequencer_number] = 2162572,[original_export_batch_number] = 1,[original_export_sequencer_number] = 2162572,[current_export_batch_number] = 4,[current_export_sequence_number] = 2216213 where ([object_id] = '6F5C98E3-38FF-4F32-95F6-B5A315B71D7A')
I tried manually adding one of the following values directly to SQL and it worked, so I'm not really sure what's wrong here.
Any ideas?
PiotrHi Markus,
yes, I know all about the architecture to allow multi-value attributes to be exported to SQL.
Everything works when I have just one string value column in my tblAD_Multivalue. The problem is that my anchor in the primary table is a GUID in a uniqueidentifier SQL column type (in FIM MV it's a string), so when I'm exporting multivalue reference attributes
to SQL I would like the GUID values also to go to a uniqueidentifier type column. That's why I set up the secondary column in the multi-value table with text datatype, so FIM recognizes it as a "large string column". I think I did everything within
the guidelines, so I was puzzled when I saw that error.
Consider this simple example, you're exporting users and groups from AD, you're anchor data type is uniqueidentifier, and you need to export the member attribute and the proxyAddresses attribute. What would you do to allow future SQL joins to calculate membership?
hope this explains a bit more this scenario, would appreciate any suggestions.

Calculated variable throwing #MULTIVALUE error
I have data of employees entering time by day and time can be billable and non-billable.
I want to show a column chart where I show the number of employees categorized as per following buckets based on their NB%
"75% and Above", "50-75%" and "0-50%"
To achieve this I created a variable (measure) first that calculates the NB% and then created another variable called NB Group which basically is a set of If, ElseIf conditions that check NB% and assign value as "75% and Above", "50-75%" and "0-50%".
When I create a report with columns employee, NB% and NB Group, the NB Group value shows up fine. However when I just pull NB Group into a blank report I am getting #MULTIVALUE error.
I was expecting to see a distinct list of all the NB Groups just like it would for any other dimension and then wanted to add a new column with count of employees and convert that into a chart.
What am i doing wrong? Is there another approach I should follow?Both [Hours] and [Non-Billable Hrs] are report level variables.
[Hours] = [Hours Entered] + [Hours Missing] (Both of these are coming from the DB/Universe)
[Non-Billable Hrs] =Sum([Hours]) In ([Employee]) Where ([Hrs Type] = "Non-Billable")
[NB Group] =If [Non-Billable Hrs]/ Sum([Hours]) > 0.5 Then "50% and Above" Else "0-50%"
Note: [NB Group] is getting converted to a measure automatically and i am not able to change it. Wondering if this is causing the problem?
Anyway, as you suggested I tried to take a small data set and get the results per Employee and that came out correctly (top table).
However, when I remove the employee and try to aggregate I am not getting the expected count.
Here, Employee =Count([Employee]) -
#MULTIVALUE error in WEBI crosstab
Hello Experts,
I am using cross tab in a webi report and I get multivalue error in WEBI
When I select the table property "Avoid Duplicate row aggregation", I get the below result
As you can see, that in the first image, the Actual cost is calculated correctly, but the Quantity, is anot able to add up and gives multivalue error.
Please help resolve.
Thanks
ShilpaHi Shilpa,
You can use any context In or Foreach.
Ex. =Sum(<Revenue>) In <Year>
=Sum(<Revenue> In (<Region>,<City>,<Year>) In <Year>)
Use contexts with Aggregation functions like Sum, Count, Min, Max etc.
For better understanding of Calculation Context you can go through following document :
http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir4/en/xi4sp5_ffc_en.pdf
- Smart measures are the ones which have projection aggregate set as "Database Delegated" which in turn results measure to be calculated by the database itself.
To create a Smart measures you can use calculated key figure or restricted key figure.
In IDT we can achive it by applying projection for measure object.
Hope this will help....!!!

Multivalue Error ? one user affect another user not affect !!!
Hi all,
My user raised one issue. Details below:
He is getting multivalve error when he execute the report (Webi) using his credentials .but other user can execute the same report without error
As per my understanding itu2019s not possible because its data issue not authorization issue
Am I correct? If I wrong kindly advise me
Note:
*This report developed based on SAP universe
*Previously the same issue fixed at the time we created one dimension object (WBS Element Key) instead of detail object (L01 WBS Element Key)
Regards,
TamilHi Tamil,
The multivalue with SAP typically pops up when the master data of an infoobject is not unique for each key.
So the description or caption of the infoobject has homonyms (two different keys can have the same description).
If you have the keyfigures/measures defined as database delegated you will get this multivalue because SAP cannot calculate it on the combined level.
So authorisation might have impact if one user can see the two (or more) keys and the other user does not.
Two ways to solve this.
1) set the aggregation method of the object to sum (on the advanced tab).
This allows WebI to sum the values pulled back on the two different key values.
2) use the key as the master/dimension object and the caption/description as the detail.
Hope this helps,
Marianne
And on your note, any of the infoobjects can cause this behavior.
So solving it for one does not mean it doesn't happen anymore. -
How to use the set functions effectively in webi ,please let me know with detail
how to use the set functions effectively in webi ,please let me know with detail
Hi,
we use use set functions on heirarchies with aggregate functions mostly .
If you include member_set, Min returns the minimum value of the aggregated data for all members in the member set.
Member_set can include multiple sets separated by semicolons (;).
The list of member sets must be enclosed in {}.
If the member set expression does not specify a precise member or node, the hierarchy referenced must be present in the table, then the member set expression references the current member in the hierarchy in the table. If the hierarchy is not in the table, the function returns the message #MULTIVALUE.
Eg .
1) Ancestor
=Sum([YTD] ; {Ancestor([Test Hierarchy];2)})
2) IsLeaf
=[Test Hierarchy].IsLeaf
You can use this function when you want to show your Measure only at lower level .
3) .Depth
=[Test Hierarchy].Depth
This is also function used with hierarchy to find Level of Members .

Multivalue checkbox in single field of datascheme of XML form
Hello everyone,
is there a way to provide the user a chance to select multiple values via checkboxes in an XML-form and write the values in a single field of the datascheme?
Currently only the first of the selected values ends up in the proper field, although several checkboxex are attached/connected.
Any ideas?
THX-HenningI found another alternative solution.
Regarding to how to display the multivalue properties with the multi-valu check box in "Details":
1) Go to CM -> Global Services -> Property Metadata -> Properties
2) Go to the property that you want to display multivalue, for my case- "NewsType", set the "Property Renderer" parameter to "allowedvale_multivalued" (for sure you have to define the allowed values)
3) Go and check in "Details", it should show the multi-value property in check box group. Then you can "tick" and "untick" to change the values.

I have the query below that works fine, but breaks when I make my parameter multivalue. I tried making the syntax in(@category) and didn't work.. Any ideas?
select
*fromiv00101
i
where
i.uscatvls_2
=CASEWHENi.uscatvls_2
=''THEN'NA'ELSE@category
END
http://www.isolutionspartners.com/Hi Ryan,
Per my understanding that when you use the query above you can't filter the multiple value parameter, right?
I have tested on my local environment and as
Patrick Hurst mentioned that you can modify the query like below to makes it work:
SELECT *
FROM iv00101 i
WHERE i.uscatvls_2 = CASE WHEN i.uscatvls_2 = '' THEN 'NA' END
OR i.uscatvls_2 IN (@Category)
But I have some question about why you using the logic "CASE WHEN i.uscatvls_2 = '' THEN 'NA' "
I think you can just use below query to get the same result:
SELECT *
FROM iv00101 i
WHERE i.uscatvls_2 IN (@Category)
If you want to also filter the blank value you can just set the "Allow Blank values" in the @Category:
If I have some misunderstanding, please try to provide more details information.

HI I have a multivalue LDAP attribute named changedate
Each time I have to update it I need it to be updateedlikethis
changedate-ddmmyy creation
changedate-ddmmyy termination
but this is not happening and the attribute value is overwritten
I have set it as multivalueattribute in the LDAP.
I am updating it like this
<setvar name='userupdate.global.changedate'>
<invoke name='dateToString' class='com.waveset.util.Util'>
<ref>userupdate</ref>
<s>MM/dd/yyyy</s>
</invoke>
</setvar>HI Paul ,
Even appending is overwriting it I tried this
<setvar name='newuser.global.Historicaldate'>
<list>
<s>s1</s>
<s>s2</s>
<s>creation</s>
</list>
</setvar>
it creates account and americasonyhistoricaldate has three values s1,s2 and s3
But when we do this again
<append name='selecteduserupdate.global.Historicaldate'>
<concat>
<invoke name='dateToString' class='com.waveset.util.Util'>
<s>yyyyMMddHHmmss</s>
</invoke>
<s>-Termination</s>
</concat>
</append>
it overwrites all previous values and gives only one value
how can we get the previoulist and append it to this
