Muse is not redirecting my site to the tablet or phone version. It keep pushing everything left.

If tabed through all the elements on every page to see if there was something hidden outside the page, but I didn't find anything. I'm not sure what I'm missing. Below is my link, I would greatly appreciate anyones help.

The mobile redirect can't work correctly nested in a frameset.
http://distaffdesign.businesscatalyst.com works correctly.
If you transfer the domain name rather than wrapping the muse site in a frameset, the mobile redirect will be able to work.

Can I use the mobile site as the tablet site?

What i would like is to see my phone site when I view my site on the tablet. Currently I have created a phone and desktop version, but when I view with a tablet I see the desktop version.
I realize you can click the tablet tab, copying the phone version to there and create a separate set of files for the tablet. However, what I would like to do is only update two versions (web and phone) when my content changes rather than having to update three versions.

Using different templates for the desktop and phone versions of the same blog

I have a site which was created in Adobe Muse and is hosted on Business Catalyst.
I have created both a desktop and a phone versions of the site.
I want to know how I can integrate the blogs that I currently have on the desktop site with the phone version that I just did, using different templates for the desktop and phone versions of the same blog. This is in order to ensure that visitors to the blogs on the website are directed to the templates that render correctly for the devices they are using.
My current approach has been to create both a desktop and phone versions of the blogs. The problem with this however, is that the dates are different and the comments are separated between the two blog versions!
I have also tried enabling mobile templates in BC, but still couldn't find a way to specify the mobile versions of the templates for the same blog?
To recap my problem, I basically need a solution where the same blog uses different templates for desktop and mobile (both templates use different navigation headings and menu styles)

Muse Is not Updating My Site

I've made changes to my site in Muse, but when I upload to the FTP on godaddy and I go to my site, it still looks the same from when I first uploaded it. Even when I upload my full site again instead of just the changes. My edits were small so I tried deleting a picture, but it was still on the site after the upload. Any thoughts?

Mountain Lion app not downloading, just sits in the dock 'waiting'.

Hi everyone,
A few weeks ago I downloaded the mountain lion software from the app store. However, the download just sits in the dock 'waiting' and doesn't download at all. It eventually disapears from my dock and tells me that there has been an error. I have emailed and rang customer support, however, I get passed on to different departments with each staff member saying 'this isn't what our department should be dealing with'. I have been told that it is to do with my internet provider (BT), but when I took the iMac (2010) back to university where I have a different internet provider, it still didn't download! (My iMac has got all the requirements for Mountain Lion).
Any help will be much appreciated as I am really getting no where with customer support.

When I create a tablet/desktop/phone version of a site, why are all the pages blank?

Hello, longtime listener/user, first time caller
I've been using Muse since jumping on the Creative Cloud train a couple years ago, but to date all my experience had been in maintaining and updating a desktop version of a couple small sites. I loved the idea of Muse being able to assist in the creation of separate desktop/tablet/mobile layouts (ie responsive design), and this past week was my first experience in using it as I worked on a ground-up rebuild of http://www.eridusociety.org. I started with a Phone layout, with the intention of getting that right and then expanding outward to a tablet version, and once that was finished, adding a desktop layout.
After completing the mobile site and testing it on Business Catalyst (thanks to all involved in that seamless integration, by the way), I clicked on the +Tablet button and proceeded to build out the tablet layout of the site. To my dismay, all the pages it built were blank. I tried deleting and re-doing it with different combinations of the options checked, to no avail. Then I raced off to the nearest web browser and started searching - surely I missed a step, or the great collective brain of the internet could alert me to some way to achieve this. Alas, no such luck.
The blank pages are intentional, and the way to populate those blank pages is to go back to the phone layout, open the page, then copy all the content, then switch back to the tablet layout, open the corresponding page on the tablet layout, and paste in the content from the source layout... and of course, rinse and repeat for the desktop layout as well (though for my workflow, I copied the finished tablet layout pages to create the desktop version).
For me, starting with all the page elements from the source layout is much easier than starting from scratch on each and every page. That way I know I have all the elements on the page, and I can add to (or subtract from) as well as modify the layout in fairly short order. I've been driving myself a little crazy with all the bouncing back and forth between layouts to copy/paste elements as I work on my site, and for future reference I'd like to know if there's some way that can be avoided in the future?
Ideally, I would like to see an option in the create layout dialog box to be able to copy content (and choose the source layout to copy from).
Beyond that, another great option for this dialog would be to let me choose to switch all the page links to the new layout. That is, when it copies and pastes all the page content from source layout, Muse would then also update the links to pages within the site so that they link to that layout's pages. So when I build a phone version and click +Tablet, I can check a box to copy page content from source, specify that source, and then check another box to update links for layout. After Muse does its magic, I have a tablet layout that's already got page content on it, and it's linking to other pages on the tablet layout (and not to the source/phone layout pages).
Thanks to everyone on the Muse team for a pretty great product, and to the people manning the Twitter account for responding to my tweet and directing me here.

Sanjit, I think one of us is missing the point. It could be me - is there some way to easily and quickly pop open multiple layouts and pages? Because for me (running a 12-core Mac Pro with 64GB RAM and FirePro D700 GPU's), Muse lets me switch between one layout view and the next (not open them simultaneously), and takes several seconds to do this every single time. Opening and closing pages (to create separate tabs/windows) is also incredibly tedious.
I can appreciate that select and drag works just as well as selecting all and using copy/paste shortcut keys, but that is the least time consuming part of the process.
Without copying the page contents from the source layout and transpose internal page links to new layout, Muse falls short of the mark of making it really easy to build responsive sites. It's kind of like trying to take a cab to a destination across town that makes you get out and walk halfway. No matter quickly or easily the cab made it through town, it still only got you half way there.

Can I use the desktop site as the tablet site?

I've added the tablet site with the atributes of the desktop site but it doesn't copy the content. Is there a way to do this without recreating the content seperatly?

In general the desktop site can be created such that it works fine on tablet devices. In fact there are tablet devices with screens larger than some PCs, so it's a bit of a grey area as to what exactly defines a tablet versus a PC given tablet screens are getting larger and many PCs are adding touch screens.
In many cases designing a desktop site and a phone site is sufficient. Given the large difference in screen size and the highly mobile nature of a site visitor using a phone, it's likely a fundamentally different design with a different organization of your data would be better received by your site visitors from their phones than anything Muse might automagically do to create a long scrolling strip on a cell phone from each of your desktop pages.
A desktop site that limits use of rollover states (since rollover is, at best, simulated on touch devices) and makes anything clickable/touchable slightly larger in order to be touch friendly is often sufficent to address both desktop and tablet visitors.
A phone site that's organizaed to present contact information, directions/map and just the key aspects for your site, deferring to your desktop site for more detailed information, may present a better user experience than replicating all the pages/content from your desktop site in a phone form factor.

Trackpoint does not work after switching from the tablet to laptop mode.

I use my tablet to run a smartboard. Sometimes when I switch to the tablet mode and back by reversing the display, the trackpoint and mouse keys stop working. The touchpad below it still works. I am running windows 7. I have gone into the control panel, under mouse, and both the trackpoint and touchpad are still both checked. ?? When I restart the functions return.

Java does not list any sites in the site exception list, just an exclamation mark, so how do I add them?

I want to use an online drum machine ("monkey machine") that requires Java, so I installed Java, apparently correctly.
However, when I try to use the monkey machine drummer, it still demands Java, but Java's security mechanism won't allow me to add the monkey site (or any other site). All I get is an exclamation mark in the box where the list of site exceptions should be. This is in the control panel,under the security tab, after hitting "add" to add sites...
So.....
How to add in the sites?

I was having problems connecting to my internet at home with my 4s. I tried many of the suggestions. Nothing worked. I did not want to sit on the phone with apple etc trying to fix it. I bought a router extender. It worked like a charm.

I just want to let those of you who have problems connecting to home internet. I had same problem with my 4s iphone and tried many of the suggestions here as well as on the internet. Then I found something called an internet extender. Bought it and worked like a charm. It was worth the $60 I paid. No more hours of trying to figure it out. I don't know if this will work for anyone else with this problem but if it helps you I'm happy

I would recommend that you do the following as a minimum:
Power-down the modem, AirPort Express base station, and computer(s).
Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes to allow it adequate time to initialize.
Power-up the Express; wait at least 5-10 minutes. Note: The AirPort's status light may continue to flash amber after it has initialized. That is because, there may be some additional configuration items necessary, like setting up wireless security, before the overall setup is completed to get a green status.
Power-up your computer(s).
In this basic configuration, the Express will broadcast an unsecured wireless network with a Network Name (SSID) of Apple Network NNNNNN. Network clients, connected to the base station either by wire or wireless, should now be able to access the Internet through the ISP's modem. Once Internet connectivity has been verified, you can use the AirPort Utility to configure the base station for wireless security and any other desired options.
If the above steps do not solve the problem, start over with step 1 above, but then perform the next steps between steps 1 & 2. above.
Disconnect the Express from the Internet broadband modem.
While all of the devices are powered-down, perform a "factory default" reset on the Express. This will get it back to its "out-of-the-box" configuration and make setting it up much easier, especially if you use the "Assist me" process within the AirPort Utility. (ref: Resetting an AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule)
After the base station resets, go ahead and power it back down.
Reconnect the Express to the Internet broadband modem. For the 2nd generation Express, be sure to connect the cable to the base station's WAN (circle-of-dots) port.
Continue with step 2 in the first set of steps.

How can I stop my site from appearing at the left in the tablet and phone layouts?

At the moment my site works on desktop browsers but appears pinched to the left on phones and tablets.

Please make sure that there is no element line rectangle or text box outside browser are in Phone and tablet layout.
If it is then either delete them or move it inside browser area.
To find the exact browser area Please click on View > Show Grid Overlay. Pink Shaded area is the browser area.

How to repopulate the tablet and phone files in a site

I messed up the phone and tablet versions of a web site.
I can manually delete all but the index page of the phone and tablet versions
I want to remove all of them and then use the Muse Add phone layout and add tablet layout to re-import all my desktop pages
Is there any way to do that a second time in a muse site?

Yes, absolutely you can.
Right click on the button for the view you want to delete.

Update to 8.1 : not enough harddisk space, even the tablet is brandnew

I can't upgrade my elitepad 900 pro (32Gb) , from Windows 8 to 8.1 : not enough harddisk space. But it's a new one, nothing is installed, except office 2013. I placed a SD-card of 32Gb, but it won't help.
What have i to do?
