Guys, Im owning Nokia C6-01 Symbian Belle Refresh. I never used Nokia Music because i did not need to use it. But today while downloading a song from Nokia Music an error occured : This phone is already registered with unlimited download subscription. I want to know that if my Phone ( NOKIA C6-01) comes with Nokia Music Unlimited or not !?

I am using lumia 800 from last 1.5 years. It was working great but then I had to format it for some reason and after that I am sining into nokia music with the same old id but it says the phone is already registered with nokia music unlimited subscription and it's very annoying... tried signing in again n again but no clue.. help me out.

Music Unlimited streaming no longer working on And...

As per the title the issue started about a week ago - until that point it worked perfectly. We have several Android devices in the house - Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and a couple of Galaxy Tab 2's - but none of them will stream via Sony's Music Unlimited app anymore. I have tested the Nexus 4 on other networks and Music Unlimited streaming works perfectly. I have also just installed the Hideman VPN app on the Nexus 4 and enabled a VPN connection over our BT line and the streaming via Music Unlimited will then work.
I'm just posting this in the hope that someone can explain why I am seeing the behaviour - are BT doing something to prevent the Music Unlimited streaming from working on Android devices (works OK via Windows PC, PS3 and an iPad)? Why does it work over VPN? Also, strangely, I can download playlists for offline use in MU on the BT connection but can't stream.
I tried various things over the weekend to try the fix the issue but no luck (including reloading the android app, factory resetting the HH3 etc.).
Any help or clues as to what is happening would be much appreciated - thanks!

Nokia music unlimited subscription

everytime when I try to download music from nokia music store it always shows that there is activation problem saying that my mobile is already registered with nokia music unlimited subscription....naw I cnt download any songs with my lumia 710....someone please help me....

You can't use this mobile for Nokia Music Unlimite...

I have just purchased a Nokia 5130 XpressMusic mobile phone which came with music. I have previously had a similar phone which came with music which for the last year I have been using. That unlimited downloads has now expired.
So I have plugged in my new phone, which I have not used to purcahse any music with through my old unlimited downloads, and it is saying:
You can't use this mobile for Nokia Music Unlimited edition mobile.
Can someone please tell me why not? The phone is capable of playing music (it is an XpressMusic mobile). I have specifically gone and purchased this phone for the unlimited downloads and will not be very happy if I am unable to activate it.

Like @petrib mentioned you should be able find local Nokia Care details behind that Contact us -link up right in this page (or if you tell which country you are in I can check the details for you).
You could also update to latest Nokia Music Player which has just become available e.g. here http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/nokia-music-support and see if activation would work with that.

Welcome to the forum!
Is your phone purchased second hand? If yes, Nokia Music Unlimited (NMU) licenses are activated by signing in with a Nokia Account. If the same Nokia Account is used to activate a second or third device, the NMU licenses are accumulated on that account. It's only the most recently activated device can be used to access Nokia Music and download music for free. You will be able to play already downloaded music on previously registered devices.
Therefore, if the device is bought second hand, and the license is still in use by the first owner, the second owner is not entitled to the Nokia Music license.
Otherwise, can you check the following question:
Aside from you, someone else logged in and activated the license before you purchased your phone first hand,
Or did you allow someone else to log in with your Nokia account on your device?

Nokia Lumia 800 & Nokia music unlimited

Does Nokia Lumia work with Nokia Music Unlimited? Lumia appears in my Nokia music player ok and I changed
my account to Lumia (registere new imei code). But when I try to move music to Lumia, it says my phone is not registered Nokia Music Unlimited device.

It is that simple. When you log in to Nokia Music from the Lumia, you are logging into the version of Nokia Music where you buy tracks/albums invididually with credit you've purchased.
Even if you with some other phone model with the Nokia/Ovi Music Unlimited (or Comes With Music) might have been able to log into to the store with free/unlimited music.
If you have downloaded music to your PC from the "unlimited" Nokia Music store and it is now on your PC, you can burn it to a CD and then "rip" the music back to the PC and then copy it to the Lumia. You can also keep playing it on that PC, or keep copying it to the original "unlimited" phone model (if you still have it, and it is still working). If you change your PC, you might even be able to re-license it for the new PC.
You probably won't be able to copy it directly (re-license it) to your Lumia.
Check with (call) Nokia Care (Nokia's customer support) to be sure.

Music Unlimited Won't Show Up In My Walkman App

On my Z it worked fine and it may be cause I bought an imported model, but I can't get Sony Music Unlimited to show up within my Walkman app. Any ideas or fix or do I just suffer from early adoption? Thanks!

It sounds like your phone comes from a country where the Music Unlimited service is not available. The phones we sell in countries that doesn't have Music Unlimited doesn't have any integration with this service in Walkman. You can still use the Music Unlimited app though: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sony.snei.mu.phone

Music Unlimited not working in WALKMAN App 8.3.A.0.2

I noticed that you've updated the WALKMAN App to a very clean and styled look, but there is a major error: Whenever I try to log in to Music Unlimited, WALKMAN force closes immediately as well as when the widget is trying to refresh on the home screen..please fix ASAP!

Great update on the latest Xperia Walkman app (8.3.A.0.5). A Big thank you for Maiko Ishida and the development team for the amazing new interface and Music Unlimited improved integration. However, even it is a step in the right direction but I have some requests that I hope to be included in future updates:
Most of these features/ideas are taken from Music Unlimited on PS Vita. I broke it down into sections for easier readability. I added the requests from my first post as well!
General
Please add the following
1) Include an option to separate Music Unlimited tracks from the track stored in the phone’s internal/external memory instead of having them mixed up. For instance including a “Filter By” icon to give us the option to display Stored Music, Music Unlimited Music or Both.
2) Include an option to store the offline music @ 320kbps to external memory
Search
Please add the following
1) Whenever searching for a track in Walkman App and results show up under Music Unlimited section, there is a small triangle (corner) next to each track name. Clicking on that will display a pop up menu, that menu only contains the following options "Add to, Queue, Create Artist Channel"
It would be great if three more shortcuts to be added to that pop up menu:
"Artist related info" (takes you to the artist page of that track with Top Songs, Discography, artist appeared on and related artist)
"Album" (takes you to the album that contains that track)
"Share Song or album"
2) Download Individual tracks instead of only playlists.
3) Include “Track Popularity” rating in the search results
4) Add a "Filter By" icon or drop box next to Discography under an Artist Page with the following filter options (Albums and Singles, Albums, Singles, Artist Appears On)
5) Add a "Sort By" icon or drop box next to Discography under an Artist Page with the following sort options (Popularity, Release Year, A-Z)
6) Add "Related Artists" section after Discography under an Artist Page
Channels
Please add the following
1) Long press on a channel icon under (premium, genre, mood and era) to display a pop up screen with options "Available Offline" and "Channel Information"
2) Long press on channel icons under (My Channels) to display a pop up screen with options "Available Offline" and "Delete My Channel"
***This currently cannot be performed under the Walkman app. I have to go to the Music Unlimited Standalone android app or the website to delete My Channels
3) When playing a track from Music Unlimited results include an option when tapping on the cover art (Now Playing Page) to display an icon shortcut for "Album and Artist Details" below the already existing "Thumbs Up" (Like) and "Plus" (Add to)
***three doted icon would be a good option!

When Music Unlimited is enabled, it connects to the network everytime when I open the Walkman.
I live in Brazil, and mobile networks aren't great here. So when I access the Walkman it tries to connect, but the network is slow and the Walkman stays frozen trying to connect to the network.
My suggestion is: Not to frozen while connecting. It would be more interesting if it could connect in background, without frozing the app.

Yes, some of the posters were BARELY straying into Zen Xtra/Touch firmware issues. However, the meat of that thread was discussion of actually USING Yahoo! Music Unlimited, which is as much for us Zen Micro owners (who already HAVE their firmware upgrade) as anyone. That thread needed to be warned to stay on topic, NOT locked.

Just like you say, there are many many thread about all this and it's pointless to have several new thread everyday just talking about the same thing and eventually lead to abuse. We are not forbidding the discussion for these just that we wanted all these discussion to remain in the official thread that Jeremy had created. If such discussion were not allow in the first place, we would have deleted them all, but that's not the case as you can see for yourself. In fact, this action is also greatly welcome by posters(as suggested by some).

Sony Xperia Z1, Music Unlimited and Throw

Hello,
I have a Sony Xperia Z1, a Sony Bravia KDL-40EX721 and a Sony Bluray BDV-N590.
While using the Walkman app with Music Unlimited, i'm trying to use Throw to DLNA the music to my TV or Bluray and it's not working. It says something like "Error could not show media contents".
If the Throw option is available in the Walkman app with Music Unlimited, why is it not working? Do i have to configure anything?
Throw works with the contents stored on my phone (images, music and videos) but it doesn't with the Music Unlimited audio.
Is there a fix for this?

Does all the n8's have ovi music unlimited option?

i have purchased my mobile on nov 11th of 2010, its music unlimited edtion. but i came to knw thats its a defect piece, and so i was replaced with new handset by NOKIA care, but now the mobile is displaying a message that its not music unlimited edition, even i was not replaced with same coloured n8

To add to greycounciller's post.. even though the versions may be market specific, you must have got the replacement in the same region , hence the issue of market specific should not arise..
I advise you to get it replaced again with the colour of your choice and OVI Music Unlimited.. If you do not get satisfied, Pl. use the 'Contact Us' tab at the top of this page and inform Nokia about the issue..

if i log in with my nokia account ''you can't use this nokia account to download music from nokia music. You can only download music if you log in with your Come with nokia music username.''
At first, there were no such problem but after this four month of subscription i amgetting this type of message. And i have no music username at all. But iuse to download music in my nokian8-00 belle refresh before hard reset.
Is there any solution to this problem ?

to enjoy OMU, you need to play by the rule - get yourself a phone with OMU. But FYI, Nokia has decided to stop shipping OMU phones in most of the countries that has OMU services rolled out past two years ago.
