Mutliple Tables and their focuses

hi ,
i have multiple tables in one Jpanel that is in a scrollpane;, now my problem when i select a cell in the first table and then select a cell in the second table (with a mouseclick), the cell in the first table stays selected, what do have to use, selectionlisteners, focuslisteners, or other listeners
thx
Tom

you can use FocusListener
public void focusGained(FocusEvent fc)
table.setRowSelectionAllowed(true);
     public void focusLost(FocusEvent fc)
table.setRowSelectionAllowed(false);
but always remember to
table.setRowSelectionAllowed(true);

    Hi,
    Search for SAP Tables in www.sap-img.com. You will find a Zip file, this has most of the tables used in most of the modules. Check those tables and find which are all the primary fields.

    Hi,
    For your user tables you can use USER_TAB_COLUMNS.
    Just give DESC USER_TAB_COLUMNS at your SQL> prompt.
    You will know on that object.

  • Buttons in a table and their function

    Hi all,
    I have another question. I use a table to display some master data of an infoobject from the BW. I want edit them with a popup window. Therefore I have three Buttons in the toolbar of the table "Edit", "Delete" and "Add".
    Is it possible, that I can disable the buttons "Edit" and "Delete" if the user has no row selected? - I have the feeling, that I can only define actions for the buttons in a toolbar.
    An other idea was, that I use the guard conditions, but the event fires a popup window and it's not possible to use guard conditions for a popup window.
    Has anybody a solution for my problem?
    Thx a lot for all upcoming answers!
    Regards,
    Marcel

    Thx for the answer. I had the assumption, that a workaround with an extra form view is the solution.
    I test it yesterday and it works, but the frontend looks not so good with this solution. Maybe SAP enhance the function of the toolbar buttons or make it possible to use buttons like in the form view.
    Regards,
    Marcel

  • Tables (part or no part) and their tablespaces in oracle 11g

    I need to list all the tables and their table spaces for non part tables along with partition tables, partition name and its table space , I am using the following query to find it however query result is not something what i am looking for as i see null in table space columns.
    tablespace column has null for even non partition table.
    in query result there are cases that null in all the tablespace_name columns.. ..
    tablespace columns have nulls for even part tables in ALL_TAB_PARTITIONS ,ALL_PART_TABLES tables for few part tables ..
    Should we generat object stats to correct name filled in tablespace column.. or am i using wrong tables in my query..? how come null in all the tablespace columns or should i include any other dictionary table?
    select AT.OWNER, AT.TABLE_NAME, AT.TABLESPACE_NAME,AT.PARTITIONED,APT.PARTITIONING_TYPE,ATP.PARTITION_NAME, ATP.TABLESPACE_NAME,APT.DEF_TABLESPACE_NAME
    From ALL_tABLES AT,
    ALL_TAB_PARTITIONS ATP ,
    ALL_PART_TABLES APT
    WHERE AT.OWNER IN ('CISADM')
    AND ATP.TABLE_OWNER(+)=AT.OWNER
    AND APT.OWNER(+)=AT.OWNER
    AND ATP.TABLE_NAME(+)=AT.TABLE_NAME
    AND APT.TABLE_NAME(+)=AT.TABLE_NAME
    ORDER BY ATP.TABLE_NAME,ATP.PARTITION_POSITION;
    could you please suggest what wrong with this query or query to find table space used for both non part and each table partition table space. Thanks in advance..

    For a partitioned table you should get tablespace_name from user_tab_partitions because it's possible to have different partitions stored in different tablespaces. This can't be shown in the single row of user_tables.
    SQL> CREATE TABLE part_test
      2  (part_key    NUMBER
      3  )
      4  PARTITION BY RANGE(part_key)
      5  (PARTITION  part_test1 VALUES LESS THAN (100) tablespace users
      6  ,PARTITION  part_test2 VALUES LESS THAN (200) tablespace example
      7  );
    Table created.
    SQL> select table_name, tablespace_name from user_tables where table_name = 'PART_TEST';
    TABLE_NAME                     TABLESPACE_NAME
    PART_TEST
    SQL> select table_name, partition_name, tablespace_name from user_tab_partitions where table_name = 'PART_TEST';
    TABLE_NAME                     PARTITION_NAME                 TABLESPACE_NAME
    PART_TEST                      PART_TEST1                     USERS

  • Updating Physical Cube Tables and Hierarchies OBIEE 11.1.1.7

    OBIEE 11.1.1.7
    I have imported a MSAS Cube, modeled it and created a presentation layer. I now have some new hierarchies I need to add to the phyicial layer.
    How do you import new Cube Tables and/or Hierarchies?
    When I select the Import option it creates a new OLAP database and connection pool, I am unable to successfully move those changes into the existing OLAP Connection.
    I have been through the documentation and it reccomends importing over a manual process. However I am unable to figure out how to do this with the import process.
    Oracle® Fusion Middleware Metadata Repository Builder's Guide for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition
    11g Release 1 (11.1.1) Part Number E10540-05
    Chapter 8 Working with Physical Tables, Cubes, and Joins
    There is a section called Working with Multidimensional Sources in the Physical Layer, in this section is says
    "Each multidimensional catalog in the data source can contain multiple physical cubes. You can import the metadata for one or more of these cubes into your Oracle BI repository. Although it is possible to create a cube table manually, it is recommended that you import metadata for cube tables and their components"
    The New Utilities feature(s) is really cool, but it doesn't work for OLAP connections.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Michael,
    it works, but its a bit tricky. I did it with Oracle OLAP and I think it must be similar with other OLAP Databases.
    Rename your existing Database in Physical Layer to the name Metadata Import dialog would create. With Oracle OLAP the "Data Source Name" ist used. Just try it once.
    Unfortunately you can not merge dimensions and cubes as it is with relational Objects . So you have to delete the cube and dimensions you will import from you renamed Database in Physical Layer. Of course the mapping between physical and business model will be lost
    Now you can import your modified OLAP-Cubes and Dimensions and it should be placed in your renamed Database in Physical Layer
    Open the sources of your logical tables in business model and add the Dimensions or Cubes in the "General" Tab. Move to the Tab "Column Mapping" and check if mapping is OK. If not (this will be the case, if you customized the column names), you have to do the mapping from the scratch .
    I recommend to use the original names from the data source. If you need another name for a column, just create a new logical column and use "Derive from existing columns". Now you can reimport OLAP Metadate quicker because the Mapping is done automatically.
    Hope this helps
    Regards Claus

    Hello,
    I am new in SAP trying to upgrade some existing code. I am looking for information concerning the DRAW and DRAZ tables and their benefits.

  • Which table stores field names and their description?

    When I go to se11; I can get information about a table; its field names and field description.
    How can I access same information using an ABP Program? I have a third party tool which connects to SAP; it can pull data from any SAP Table or view. I do not know which table or view stores information displayed in SE11.
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi zigzagdna,
    The field names and their description are strored in table DD03L and DD03T.
    SAP DDIC dictionary informations are generally store in DD* tables. You can search this kinds of DD* tables in SE11 using F4 search help.

  • Table Maintenance events and field focus

    Hi all,
    In event 01(save data) of table maintenance, I have the code to ensure some fields are not left blank:
    When testing the creation of table records in SM31, it gives me the error msg successfully, but after that greys out all fields in that row except the primary keys.
    - My primary keys are already filled.
    - The mandatory field that must be filled is not filled yet, but is greyed out after the error message is given.
    How can I avoid this and set focus on the mandatory non-key field?
    My code as follows:
    ***INCLUDE LZBUSICONNF03 .
    FORM CHECKMANDATORYFIELDS.
      IF ZPWHPO_INC-HPO_NAME IS INITIAL.
    *   Enter company code
        MESSAGE e100(ZBUSICONN_MSGCLASS).
      ENDIF.
    * Validation of COMPANY_CODE
    *  IF TABLEN-company_code IS INITIAL.
    ENDFORM.

    Hello,
    To check on not key fields, you can modify the "Maintenance screens". There you can use the logic as in any other dialog program and add you own check in a PAI module.

  • Splitting of catalogue and data tables in their core BO management database

    Hi All,
    Could you please suggest your ideas on the below recommendation suggested by our DBA's:-
    It is recommendable to split catalogue tables from data table and other data objects (e.g. indexes) using storage.
    splitting of catalogue and data tables in their core BO management database
    Is it a recommendable solution to splitting of catalogue and data tables in their core BO management database?
    Many Thanks,
    Madhu
    Edited by: Madhu P on Jun 11, 2008 11:56 AM

    Dear Madhu,
    it's really safe to separate the BO management tables ( the repository) from the tables containing the data.
    We went a step further and create a BO database (dedicated server) containing only the repository.
    Because the BO database may provide meta data form different universes pointing to different databases containing the data we have easier administration and some performance advantages
    with this separation.
